What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

Goal: Lose 40lb bodyfat while maitaining or increasing lean body mass. I am 57. Coaching to keep me focused would be ‘loverly’.

I jut turned 50 which honestly has nothing to do with my goals. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 42 so it hurt too much to exercise. Then I had to have a total Hysterectomy one year later. I was a 5’2″ 105 lb. female and now with both of my issues I have gained over 30 lbs. which is all dangerous belly Fat. I need help in getting rid of this fat and bloat so I come to you. I have tried some of your supplements but being menopausal and dealing with Fibro. Nothing is helping me get rid of fat and inches off my body. SO my goals are to get someone like you to coach me into better health, please.

I have been working to lose weight and build a solid core, so far since jan 1st I have lost about 35 lbs. I have been trying to eat a lot of protein and vegetables, plus working out 3-5 times a week, mostly kettlebell, dumbbell, and bodyweight exercises. However, right now I am at a standstill. I am not seeing any more gains at all. I am not sure which way to describe my goals… as I’m not so concerned with my actual body weight because I am more concerned with my body composition. I want to burn the fat off my midsection, and pack on plenty of lean muscle, not only to look better, but to feel better yet… even though I feel better now than I have in the past 20 years, and I’m almost in as good of shape as when I was in the military, Mostly, I just need to know exactly what to do to get over this hump. I’ve dropped 4 jean sizes and am hoping to drop at least 1-2 more (all my excess fat is around the stomach and love handle area.) my other main goal is to jump and not jiggle! basically, my complete 16 week goal is to be able to see the definition that I’m not presently seeing, plus to lose this jiggly middle.

This sounds great! Looking to lose 7-8 pounds and of course lower my body fat. Honestly, I feel as if this has been my goal for about 5 years. Have tried all sorts of things. Work out a lot and feel as if I’m in good shape, but definitely need help in losing those few stubborn pounds and transforming my body to what I envision it to be.

Hi Joel,

Thank you for another opportunity to take action. Like so many others I am a cancer survivor, thyroid cancer. After the surgery and radioactive iodine I have gained weight. I also injured my back twice working with special needs children. I struggle with nutrition and putting together meal plans. I also have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have been managing it fairly well since I was in great physical shape before. But the years are taking its toll and until I can lose the fat I have accumulated and rebuild muscle I have lost I am afraid of a horrible downward spiral! I really need help getting to where I need to be, once I am there I have no doubt I can maintain it.

Best regards,
Norlyn

I’ll be turning 40 in September and was in the best shape of my life 2 years ago. I had lost 25 lbs and loved the way I looked. Then my lovely thyroid acted up and before I knew it all my weight was back. I was still working out and following a healthy eating plan, most of the time, but still gained the weight. I have now been struggling to lose the pounds and can’t seem to get there. I’ve been following Hayley Pomroy’s FMD for the last 3 weeks and I’ve lost 8lbs so I’m on my way. It’s a 4 week program which I can continue but I get bored easily so I’m looking for something new and I’d love to try your program. I follow Craig Ballantyne’s TT workouts and enjoy them but anything new is welcomed.

I’m 57, now single and struggling with depression and fibromyalgia.
I’m 5’2″. And now tipping the scales at 140 lbs. I tried the leptoburn and I may have lost a few pounds but my struggle with motivation to exercise is very difficult. I used to be 102-110 at my heaviest and always in shape. Now I find myself losing mm mass and gaining more flab. My goal now is to gain more muscle and strength and lose 30 lbs. I’m also concerned with toning and strengthening my midsection as I know this is very dangerous and unhealthy fat to carry!
I’m a massage therapist now and I find I just ache after doing several massages in one day. Please help me to get back on track. Since I’m self employed and struggling financially I’ve not been able to work with a trainer.
This would be a huge help in getting me rebooted for the next phase of my life.
Please help!!!

Did you know ‘rock-bottom’ has a basement? I just found it. And here I thought ‘up’ was the only way I could go. I’m 44, a knee punishing 250 lbs, and primed for a heart-attack or stroke or diabetes… all bets in. I eat out about 4 times a week, and with that comes heavy drinking. So much so, that a month ago I got a DWI. Here’s to hoping the basement below rock-bottom is really as low as it goes.

16-week Goals? Well, I’m in a good spot to hit some pretty aggressive goals, cuz I basically can’t drive for a year, except to and from work, and I work from home. So I made my spare room into a training studio, and I’m ready to get on a program to completely change everything about me. I want to get down to 185-190 lbs, with 15% body fat. Probly not possible in 16-weeks (that would mean dropping 60/65 lbs, and 45 or 50 of those lbs would have to be fat!, but I could get pretty close…maybe even half-way-there in 16 weeks)

My most important physical goal is to just not be a smaller version of the fat guy I am now. I’ve dropped big amounts of weight before, and did just that…went from a big barrel shape to a small barrel shape. So 185 lbs, 15% bf, and lets go for a 32 inch pants size…just 8-10 inches to drop there, no big deal ; )

Hi Joel,
Thank you for this opportunity. I am 5’2 and would love to learn and push myself to lose weight. I know I need to lose about 100 lbs. I would love to be healthy for myself again and my children. I am a single mother of twins that are 9 and they have a very active sports life. I would love for them to be proud of their mother again and be able to do things they beg me to do that my body just doesn’t seem to let me do. So my goal would be in 16 weeks is to lose at least 60 lbs and able to make me learn the right way to eat and exercise on a daily basis with not alot of extra money.
Thanks for the opportunity, Heather

My goal over the next 16 weeks if to lose 50 to 60lbs. I am currently 312lbs and want to get down to the 250 to 260 lbs range. I use to be 220 lbs in the military with only 11.2% body fat. I want to get back to that shape not just sui that I can be healthy but do that I can be able to play with my son without being tied it achy ask the time. I have slimmed down and added muscle in the military so I know I can do it. it’s just hard doing it on my own. here’s to the new me and a long and healthy life.

Hi Joel,

I guess like most 40 something woman my goal over the next 16 weeks would be lose weight, and gain muscle. I have not been doing a very good job at sticking with anything over the last few months and need to get back on track. I have gained 15 pounds and am mad at myself! And need to try something that would excite and motivate me to get back on track!

I broke my hand in December and can’t lift weights yet as my hand still does not close and is weak even though I work on it twice a day for an hour each time.

My 16 week goal is to lose 40 lbs of fat and gain 5 lbs of muscle, and get back into my size 10 jeans! I would love to be re-inspired by working with a trainer and nutritionist and getting my strong body back.

Hey, I am so excited and thankful for the opportunity. I have been trying to lose weight for a while now but I think the problem is I travel a lot and I end up eating a lot of junk or not eat at all and just leave on lettuce as it is I love it. I am suffering from a low blood pressure meaning that I am anemic, I am going to need your help with regards to the right food that I should take as well as just the way of living to improve that.
Looking forward to losing that fat around my waist and my tummy. I want a flat tummy, can’t wait to be in that sexy bikini. I am 43 by the way.

I will be completing 62 years on 14th May this year. My target is to reduce my waist line by 3 inches, reduce weight by at least 5 Kg in 16 weeks. My present weight is 69 kg. Height is 5′ 3″ and waist is 39 inches.
I have been doing light to medium weight lifting for last 4 months. It has increased my arms and legs sizes slightly but did not reduce waist line. In fact weight increased from 67 Kg to 69 Kg. But, yes, it did reduce my blood sugar level to near normal in 4 months from a high blood sugar level. Even that is encouraging. Hopefully, after 16 weeks I am able to stop the medicines for diabetes. That is the target.

I have about 16 weeks to take off fat and add as much muscle as possible. I have my own complete set of olympic weights and dumbells and chin up bar in my basement. I am willing to work hard and eat and sleep correctly. I just do not want to waste time. And at fifty five years of age Im not too old but know that I do have to work hard and smart. That is why I need your professional guidance. I am six foot tall at 215 pounds with a 38 inch waist. Way too much fat. Ive lost almost all the muscular body that I worked my youth butt off to achieve but that was 25 years ago. I want it back.

I think I hit my midlife crisis about 6 weeks ago. I am 41 years old and have
been eating out of control. I’m a mom of three kids and I have lost focus on myself. I know that I have amazing potential to have the body of my dreams and I have promised myself that this is the year to make it happen! My 16 week goal is to loose 15 pounds, but more importantly, reclaim my confidence and self worth – treating myself with as much love as I do my children. Amen to that!!

I am 35 year old male just trying to get better and hopefully have my family follow suite. Me and my wife are overweight. My goal is to at least lose 20 pounds in 16 weeks. I thinks the hardest ting for me is eating right and I don’t know where to start.

Over the next 16 weeks I plan to lose 14 pounds in order to decrease bodyfat to 18% while maintaining my current lean muscle mass!

I would like to lose 50-60 pounds and regain strength. I am over 50 and have way too much stress and way too much weight. I have tried to be as active as possible but have had to battle knees and a herniated disc and other back issues. I am not willing to give up and be fat the rest of my life. I am not afraid of hard work. I am the mother of five and want to be able to play basket ball with my youngest, hike and have fun with all my kids and be around to play with my grandkids. I need to regain my flexibility and strength. I am tired of feeling bad and looking worse. Time to get fit and I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
