What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I’m a 53 year old male with a bum knee which restricts my mobility. I’m nearly 50 lbs overweight with health issues starting to take over. I have arthritis in my lower back and knees. However I still ride the stationary bike 5 days a week for 45 minutes. I need to loose the weight for health reasons. I do not have a problem being motivation to work out just a problem restricting my intake. Help me meet my goal of losing 50lbs.

I need to have nice looking abs in 16 weeks ….. my small belly is my only problem!

I am trying to come back from a sleigh ride of frustration. No matter what I have done over the last five years, I cannot lose much weight and if I do it comes back and then some. I have biked 22 miles round trip to work and back for months. Nothing. HIIT routines. Nothing. Drastic diet change. Nothing. Combinations of all three.Nothing. I am sick and fucking tired of being fat. SOS! I don’t consider 51 old. The titanic tire around my middle is really getting old. I have good limbs and a pretty good ass but I feel the need, the need for speedy fat loss in my abs so I don’t look like I have a butt on the front. I’m begging……Help!

I long for flat stomach, been trying for years to get rid of my bulging belly, i don’t worry about other parts of my body as i am toned elsewhere and this makes my stomach look worse and more prominant..i would love to train my body to stay away from choc and icecream!!!

Lost about 30 pounds and kept it off for 6 months or so with diet and excercise but cannot lose the residual fat rolls around gut and chest. Would like to get rid of this and probably about another 7 pound.

I’ve been following up with many of your tips and training in the past few years…Back in January 2012 I was at 137lbs, I’m 5, running a 2 mile in 16:32, 56 push ups in 2 minutes and 87 sit UPS in 2 min. I let go, was working a lot then I was in a motorcycle accident which made it worse. I fractured my ankle in September and I still managed to get deployed and now in Afghanistan for the rest of the year. They,ll be removing the gym here soon, so I need all the help I can get with advice on optional exercises. I have some of my own workout equipment but its not much. I have more than 16 weeks to get in the best shape I can. My run is at 19:32, 42 pu and 67 su. Also at 148 lbs… I want to get back in shape and be able to do better than before. Hopefully get my run under 15:30, burn as much fat as possible and gain muscle. 139 would be the weight i’d want to stay at, but ultimately I just want to get in the best shape I can. Thanks!

My name is Astrid and I’m 41 yrs old and in the worst shape of my life . My brother came to visit me a few days ago and my mum had sent my old wedding album and some pictures of when I was younger . I nearly died when I saw that girl who used to be me . I also completed my training as a personal trainer last year but cannot practise because I’m a firm believer in practise what you preach . I need to lose about 40kg to regain my life back

I’ve worked out all my life but never, I mean never, have reached my goal of what I believe is ‘My best shape” ever. I read and do all sorts of exercises and follow just as many diet plans. I get close to where I want to be but never quite arrive at my destination. Maybe the one thing that has been missing is personal accountability and maybe, just maybe, a coach. Never thought that would make the difference but now there is only one way to find out. Let’s do it!

I have removed 45 pounds so far, and have been doing maintenance for about a month. Iam finding it hard to get back to the routine and removing more. I am at 225 right now and in 16 weeks, I I would like to be at 210

I am a 50 year young woman and I have lost 15 lbs. so far since my birthday in January, I would like to lose another 30 lbs. Right now I am participating in weigt watchers, working out 5 out of 7 days most weeks. I would like to be able to move this weight a little quicker and keep it off this time.

I am a 36 year old female who used to be uber fit. About a year ago I gave up dairy for health reasons and started a new job which threw my whole scheudle out of whack. Now I am struggling to figure out how to eat properly without having my go to foods like cottage cheese, yogurt, whey protein, etc. I want to lose about 10 pounds of fat and regain 5 pounds of muscle, netting out at a 5 pound ‘scale loss’. Most eating plans out there rely heavily on low fat dairy so ?????

I have been training relatively hard over the last 5 years. I cannot say I didn’t achieve anything but I would love to reach what I really wanted when I started: a leaner naturally shaped body, without exagerations, that helps me to feel better, more confident and, of course, more attractive. I would be very happy and proud of receiving your advices and support! Thanks

Hi,
I am 40 years old, reasonably fit woman. I had two ACL reconstructions in last two years, and have suffered muscle atrophy. Though i have lost 8 Kgs in last 6 months from 95Kgs, only by following your intermittent fasting method, i am yet to loose another 10Kgs. Most importantly, i need to get back my muscles, specially quads, hams and inner thighs… the abdominals will result eventually.

So, lets see if we can break this plateau!!!

I think one of my main issues is the way my family eats…I need some serious motivation :-) Help!!!!!!

I have a class reunion in september and have a goal of losing 50 pounds by then. I lost 20 on my own but then went on a trip and got off track. I am finding it hard to get back on track. I am also borderline diabetic and can’t keep up with my kids when we play. I just want to be healthy.

I am 61 years old and have been overweight since BIRTH! My mother put me on a diet when I was 12 (the grapefruit diet) and I actually lost weight. It’s been one big yo-yo ever since. Now I weigh about 265 lbs. and I’m only 5’1″ tall. I am very desperate to lose weight before it literally kills me. I’m sure that Lepti-Burn would help but it’s too expensive right now. I did buy the Bio-Trust Protein Vanilla, however. I should mention that I now earn HALF what I used to make as an IT consultant because I took an Admin job instead. Recently I started losing weight by using Optifast (a copy of Medifast), but I feel certain it will all come back. I am very scared for my life, since my dad died with diabetic complications and I now have Diabetes II. Thanks, and I’d appreciate any help!!!

Oh yes, I forgot the 16-week goals: Eating healthy (I’ve already adopted many of Joel’s recommendations: Almond Milk, Ezekiel bread, almond butter, organic butter, etc. Losing weight: How about 40 lbs. lost in 16weeks?, and exercising regularly 5x a week. Thanks, Trish

Are you certain about that?

My 16 week goal is to tone up. My butt and inner thighs is where I keep all my weight. I am 39 with 3 kids and want to show my girls that mommy is in shape and how important it is for them to stay active to live a healthier life style.
I have been doing the same work out (with some modifications from all the great emails I receive) for 15 years. I need someone to motivate me. I still work out 3-4 days a week but basically just fly the same routine. I need that push, and drive.

Thank you!
