Hey Joel,

I have been listening to your stuff and reading your material and I know that this system will work for me. It just makes sense!!!! I need this system so I can get down to the weight that I want to be at and be healthy for my soon to be wife!!! I believe this system will exceed what I plan!!!!!!

I have lost 45 pounds since January 1st. and I am still at 30% body fat. I am extremely motivated and interestd in trying your system. After reading your emails for the past week, your program just seems to make sense. The only thing I am not clear on is whether you must have a gym membership to enjoy the benefits of your program or not.

Been fighting fat (overweight) for about 5 years now.

All through my childhood was extremely overweight, was pants size 42 at age 15 and weighed around 242 pounds. I’m now 26, 5 feet 9 and weigh 176 pounds, some say I’m at an average wight but my ‘beer gut’ is horrendous.

So I’ve been on a perpetual diet for 5 years and can’t lose this damn beer belly.

I am in the Army and am constantly having to get taped for body fat because of my weight and it gets frustrating. I have about 20lbs to lose before I can say good bye to having to get taped every month. I have been used your big breakfast diet for two weeks before each weigh in and taping with good results. So I can’t wait to see what your new program has in store.

I’m Emilie, I’m 19 and I’m overweight, pretty sure I might be bordering obese for my age and height. It’s constantly getting me down and I’m just tired of holding in my stomach all the time. Hi Joel – reading everyone else’s story and thinking “I aint got nothin they don’t got” but going to try anyway.

I’m a recovering teenage mom who needs a swift kick to get her behind in gear. I’ve fallen off the ‘Get in shape’ wagon over the last 6 months and would like to climb back on. From what I can see of your program, it would be the perfect thing for me. I think my success with it would also inspire my daughter to better health. She is getting married this September, and if the inspiration is “to look hot in her wedding dress” rather then for health, I’m all about that too :)

Joel, thank you for your willingness to possibly wade through thousands of hopeful ‘appeals’. Mine is fairly short and sweet. 1. Wednesday MAY 25th is my 56 birthday—but I shouldn’t be here. I was born nine and a half weeks prematurely having burst through my mother’s uterus/womb. Doctors told my mother I was already dead as they fought to save her life…but this once mere scrap of humanity surprised them all, and fought to live against tremendous odds in a basic ill-equipped hospital in 1955! 2. Since age 5, I have spent my spared life—literally giving and serving people—starting with my brother thirteen months my senior, in a full body cast who had perthes of his right hip aged 6)—and right now I continue to care for my parents one of whom has Alzheimer’s. 3. I have never ever won anything in my life. 4. BUT MOST SERIOUSLY: I have TWO (bilateral) FAILED TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENTS, am no longer covered for the necessary ‘revision’ surgery…so the best I can do is lose the extra 10-15kgs and that will help me continue to help everyone, including myself. Why do I think I deserve this program? Well, I’ve been overweight all my life, until about two years ago when I made a conscious decision to change my life style and went from a size 14 to a size 6. However for the last 6 months I’ve been plateauing at about 15 pounds from my goal weight. I go down a few pounds then I go up a few and it’s been really frustrating because I know my body still has this extra fat that is unnecessary. I’m in the best shape of my life, my level of fitness is really good and I can do things that I never thought possible, like running a half marathon. However I feel my body does not translate the level of fitness I have because of these last 15 pounds that just seem to stick around. I think your program is just what I need to break the plateau and finally reach my goal!

I have, like you Joel, been dealing with weight issues since I was a kid. I’ve always been known as the big kid in my family and have been stigmatized as such with comments made by everyone. I’m 34 years old, married, two great kids, but I have always had this emptiness in me that because of my weight I have lost a lot of things that I could have or could be doing now. I had a brief glimpse at how life can be after losing weight. I went from 315 pounds to just under 220 pounds in a few months by working a physically intesne job for 8 hours a day. I want to reach my full potential and seeing how you have done that Joel is my motivation in trying to reach it.

Vince and Flavia, John and Jon, Vic, Dan, Dr. K, Rob and his wife, Mike and you… all equaling to information overload. The ridiculous thing is, after having lost more than 100 pounds on my own (and keeping it off for almost 4 years); I know sticking to something is the most important part of any weight loss program. However, for these last 20 pounds, I can’t seem to figure out which of you has the “right” program especially when y’all start promoting each other’s programs and launches.

I’m frustrated. I’m overwhelmed. And I only have myself to blame. The first 100 pounds were easy; these last 20 are killing me, figuratively and probably literally. It’s like running a marathon and standing 5 feet from the finish line staring at the end but unable to move. Why? Maybe it’s fear. Maybe it’s laziness. Confusion is probably part of the mix. I’m not exactly sure what it is. All I do know is after this long and lonely run I need a little push, a helping hand to guide me to the end.

I am going to be 40 in October and a mother of 2 daughters who are 8 and 10, they tell me constantly i’m not fat, but I know they are just trying to make me feel better about myself. I am an asthmatic, and being way overweight doesn’t help me, I have thyroid problems too, so I am feeling very down and out right now, looking for any help I can get. Much appreciated! Don’t feel like leaving the house even to go to work in the a.m., nothing looks good on me.

I am not at the point where I need extreme fat loss but I am at a point where I need “extreme” measures to lose the weight and inches that I do have. I have always struggled with the little bit of extra padding but lately the weight is creeping on too and that little extra padding is becoming much more noticable and I just can’t seem to get it to budge in the downward direction rather than the upward. Things are hectic right now – but then, aren’t they for everyone – and a step-by-step approach is what I need since doing it on my own after reading articles and advice isn’t doing the job. I grew up being active and fit and not really having to worry about what I ate. My high-stress job and being in a rut of inactivity have caught up with me and I’m now tipping the scale at around 350 pounds and being 6’1″ tall. I’m just sick of being too heavy to enjoy being active with my kids or even riding a roller-coaster with them because I can’t fit into the seats. More importantly, I want to be here for them as they grow up. It’s time for a change and I look forward to the opportunity to follow your program.

I am in training mode for my third summer of sprint Triathlons and I am looking for the right synergy of both food intake and exercise.
47years old, mom of three, 179lbs.
Because of my weight I am put into the “Athena” or” Clydesdale” category upon signing up. I get pictures from the event photographers and just sigh:(
My daughter will come home from college summer session to join me June 25th. We will TRI-together.

I’m 37 years old, female. When I was a young adult, I was a dancer and performer with big aspirations and a sleek size 8 figure.

Sometimes, life takes a detour. I lost my way for many years, struggling with loss, suicidal depression, and poverty, and watching myself kill off my own dreams, calling myself stupid for ever thinking I deserved anything good. As my spirit plummeted, my weight rocketed.

It took me a decade, but I climbed out of the hole. I moved. I remade my finances and achieved stability. I learned to be happy and optimistic again, and to find a sense of peace. I even started teaching others to reconnect with their creativity and joy. I also learned to stop hating my size 20 body.

I want to take that transformation even further now. I no longer need this “armor” of extra weight and I’m ready to let it go. I’m studying belly dancing and burlesque and I have a chance to reclaim my dream of performing as a dancer. I’ve been listening to your recordings and reading your material, and I think your plan has the structure and the passion-driven approach I need to remake my body the way I remade my life.

I want to show others that there *are* second chances in life—that you don’t have to just give up because you feel too old or too fat. I want to help others start to dream– and to pursue those dreams– again.

Joel, thanks for the opportunity. I am 49 years young approaching the half century mark. Retired military special ops, fitness and lean muscle building has been a passion since I first entered the military. I don’t need to lose weight, I am 5’9″ 155 lbs, lean and defined. I am asked by friends and co-workers often how they can get leaner and build lean muscle. I love helping but not an expert in this area other than from what has worked for me. I want to give them the best advice but very cautious about what program I recommend. There is alot of crap on the net and in bookstores, but a few gold nuggets, I believe your content is solid from following your blog and emails. If the content is what I believe will help my circle of friends etc. then I will feel good about refering them to your program. I also want to learn more about the science of creating a lean physique. Again thanks for the opportunity, pray for continued success in your business.

I am a 48yr old mother of teenage boys. I am so tired of losing and gaining the same 12 -15 lbs. I am only 5’1″, so that amount of weight gain makes a big difference on my small frame. What am I doing wrong and why am I not understanding how to keep the weight off!. I have looked at your before and after photos which are quite impressive and inspiring. Hey Joel. I’m a 19 year old who has always been extremely pessimistic. I’m very self-conscious about my body and appearance. But I want to finally enjoy myself this summer and lose some of that nasty fat. I want to leave my past negativity behind and live a happier life! I’ve come to trust your advice and program after the first two emails. I’ve never believed in fast weight loss, but your program proved me otherwise. I work out at least three times a week but the diet is the killer. Hardest thing by far and yet probably the most important by far. I need a plan that I can follow that will help me lose the 20 lbs I’ve been trying to lose for a couple of years now. Joel, hook me up and I’ll give it my best effort. I want this to be the summer that I’m not embarrassed to take my kids to the public pool…AND go swimming myself!

My long-time battle to manage my weight and eating habits has motivated me to give your program a try!
I am a regular in gym and I enjoy exercise, but I just can’t seem to find any program to shed my excess weight that I’m lumbering about. It’s been a vicious cycle of exercising and trying various diets, but I’ve just never managed to find something that works for me and something that I’m comfortable with.
