Below are a few suggestions to help you get started with the blog and ensure you get the most of out of the Body Transformation Insider experience:
1. Go ahead and get yourself a Gravatar at Gravatar.com. Gravatars or “globally recognized avatars” are the little pictures that you see next to comments posted on the site. They give your comments personality (and you should be commenting!) and help to identify you around the site. For your Gravatar, you can choose a headshot, the logo of your favorite sports team, or just about anything else you’d like (just keep it G-rated, please :-)).
One cool thing about Gravatars is that they are recognized on literally thousands of blogs and websites across the web, so once you have one, you’re set!

I am a 30 year old mother of 3. I have always been pretty active and I like to work out and have that me time. It makes me feel better in everything even when I am not losing weight. This past year I have never struggled so hard with my weight. I want my husband to join me so bad. He has high cholestrol and high blood pressure. He is 5’11’ and 210. He is not extremely over weight but is overweight. We have made goals together. I wake him(pull him out of bed) almost every morning but he doesn’t care about being active and makes tons of excuses. He doesn’t eat every day until night (which I told him is just being stored as fat and isn’t good for him, but he wont budge. We moved here a year ago and I am getting to know people but dont know someone well enough to have a workout buddy. So….I am a lone ranger. I believe everything in me is screwed up and I hope to make it right. I haven’t changed my eating habits but wasn’t able to work out and hardly even walk for a while because I had some pulimnary embolisms. I gained 20 pounds over a 6 month period. What has frustrated me the most is that I will work hard doing p90x every morning and eating well with only carbs before 4 except 1-2 days a week and the first two weeks I lost 6 lbs. I was extatic. There was two days in a row I did not work out and didn’t eat horrible but didn’t have as much protein and had more carbs. When I weighed myself this morning I was back to my original weight! AHH where is all that hard work going? Two days will really take that away from me? I can’t do something for 6 months and feel like if I take a break its all back. I am doing the xtreme 25 day weight loss and I know it will work. I have purchased the secret thin thing for after but am still afraid it will all come back if I am only working out 1 hour 4 days a week. I feel lost any advice. I have had my thyriod and metabolism checked and they say its all fine. Thanks for all the hard work and time you put into helping others and being passionate about it. I know its also a career but I know even more than the money part you are doing it out of love for human health and fitness. Sherie Lunt
Hey Joel, I’m new to the site and it’s great. I was wondering if there is a way to get the info that I purchased thru the web in book form? I like to read better and have almost no time to get my laptop out and set up with all the “stuff” going on here at the house. I’d print it out on paper but don’t have a printer with the laptop either and it’s easier for me to read a book so I can stop if I need to and then pick up later. Was just wonderng.. Thanx…
Hi Joel,
You may well be the motivation that I so desperately need!
I’m 42, from Melbourne, Australia and I need to lose 20 kilos. I started a get fit program back in January, but gave myself a stress fracture in my left ankle (tibia). I went from the highs of starting to lose fat and gaining fitness to being laid up and actually gaining weight! Ah, the sweet irony of it all.
I have just been given the go ahead to start rehabilitation and am allowed to walk 30 mins every 2nd day. Yay!
Any tips for people like myself that can’t hit the cardio hard (at the moment) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello, my Name is Jennifer. Thank you Joel for this program :) 25 days ago my friend and I started the extreme weight loss program. So I far I have lost at least 10lbs and several inches. I am so happy this is working for me. I’ve been trying to lose weight for years and have not been able to lose more than a few lbs despite eating healthy and exercising at least 5 days a week. Tomorrow I will be starting the cheat for life regiment. I am so pleased with the results that I have acheived so far and I am so scared to start the new program. I still have about 12-15 lbs to reach my goal and I hope I will continue to lose after the switch.
Yay just grabbed a gravatar. Was just posting under jM this whole time with no gravatar, shame on me I guess. Anyway, so I’m just finishing up my Xtreme Fat Loss Diet…. lost over 20 lbs and there was one cycle in there that I couldn’t workout as much as I’d like nor follow TOTALLY along with the diet plan. Daughter’s birthday…. what can you do, you can’t NOT eat your 3 year old’s birthday cake!
Hi Joel,

Hi Joel,
Have just come across your workout program and am very excited about what I have read. My current weight is 80kg. I will let you know how I get on.
Help. I’ve done xtreme fat loss for 25 days, lost 3 1/2 inches, bit disapointed but hey. Done Cheat your way thin for two week, stuck to it like glue, loved the discipline, loved the short snappy workouts but lost exactly nothing, in two weeks. Anyone know why or anyone experiencing this too? I dont doubt the science and I promise I’ve been spot on with the guidelines but beginning to get dejected!
You are my favorite read every day. I’ve been following you for awhile and thought I’d finally join in with well deserved praise!
Thanks for keeping me informed and motivated, Laurie
Hello Joel,
Just finished reading your recent article on artificial sweetners, it will be interesting to read it in it’s entirety tomorrow. My thoughts are that I’m a little confused as I subscribe to several other fitness sites, some of whom you have collaborated with and even describe as fitness buddies who basically have demonised every artificial sweetner with the exceptions of Stevia and Xylitol.
Until quite recently I used sweetners such as Sweetex, Canderelle and Splenda but having read articles from afore mentioned sites about the potentially devastating effects that they can have on my fat burning/muscle building goals, I’ve switched to honey as a hopefully more “natural” alternative to artificial sweetners, Stevia and Xylitol being both expensive and relatively difficult for me to get hold of.
Sorry if I’m pre-empting tomorrows article, it’s just that there’s alot of confusion even amongst “Fitness Professionals” which in turn makes it very confusing for people like myself as to whose advice to follow.
Regards
Michael
It is good advice and I would follow it if I wasn’t married to a man who’s an avid snacker. I very rarely buy junk or fattening foods and snacks, but my husband always has several junky snack foods in the house – potato chips, premium ice cream, candy bars, etc. The best compromise I could get is for him not to bring any of my favorite, irresistable junk foods home (chocolate chip cookies! yummy!!!) If he does, he must hide them and not let me know they’re in the house.
Looking forward to losing some of the extra pounds I’ve put on since my time in the Corp and this seems like it could be the way for me.
I am studying for my Cert IV in Personal Training, I currently have my Cert III in fitness. I love the health and fitness industry and helping others tranform their mind and bodies and I enjoy working hard to change and challenge my own mind and body to be the best it can be! Friends and family are very important to me as well. On Monday I am starting Joel’s Xtreme Fatloss diet for 25 days, I have read through everything and I am super excited.. I cant belive my first day is my cheat day!
Hi Joel,
I get your emails but have never had the time to open them until now!
(save them all).
I read your article about food swaps and enjoyed it but I wonder if you know that Ezekiel bread has soy in it.
i mention this because you also wrote a blog on soy being a weight gaining problem in one of your blogs.
Great site – thanks so much for the ‘freeby’ book. Looking forward to reading it and putting into practice.
Joel
I am hoping I can find some help to lose a belly i have had for some years AND help my weak back muscle out. Thanks for the invite by the way.
Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great site! Hope to be using alot to shed all my un-wanted extra weight!
Hi: I don’t know if I am doing this correctly. I don’t think I have ever done this before. I am to my body’s sorrow (it pains in retaliation) overweight. I am slowly losing inches and pounds with a new program but exercise and I have never really gone hand in hand down any lane. I had hip surgery as a kid and have had 2 operations since. My awkward gait has destroyed my opposite knee to the point the doctors want to replace it! Not in this life time.
I look at some of your exercises and realize that I just could not physically do them at this time. Getting out of a low chair with even a little bit of gracefulness can be a challenge some times.
I would love a copy of your book so I could choose what I can do now and work with someone so I can do more of them in the future. I wish you all the very best and applaud your enthusiasm, energy, knowledge and program.
WOW! So much information!! and FREE! Can’t wait to continue my journey through the site!
Hello joel and arnel and hello everyone!
I am on a mission to lose 2st before december! I’ve tried many diets this year and not one has worked. Infact it has gone the other way. eeep! The information on this site has been simply amazing and i really cant thank you guys enough for pointing me in the right direction. I tried the 600 calorie work out and it almost killed me haha that was hard! But its good as it means it works.
I have a lil question tho. i cannot do the chin ups in my house there is simply nowhere to do them and i cannot join a gym at the moment.(i.e finances and never being at home cause i work away alot) Can anyone recommend an exercise i can do for my biceps that doesnt involve a chin up?
Cheers guys and i wish everyone else on here success! we can do it together! I’m rootin’ for ya!
Hey there Joel, I just got hooked up to your site and have lost the last hour to reading all the posts i could on your blog. I am impressed at the quality of the science involved with the articles you and your friends share with us. I am an advocate of low G.I. eating and am in the process of my own body transformation. I’m a mum of 5 awesome kids, studying remedial massage and have developed a passion for health and fitness in the last year or so. Thanks for all the work you put into this site and the motivation you provide as well. My goal is now only 10kilograms away(used to be almost 30kg away!), and its great to have so much information all on the one site. My favourite workouts have become bodyweight resistance exercise mixed in with a bit of dancing to some fast beats. The best thing about getting fitter and stronger is the overall sense of wellbeing, physically, mentally and emotionally. As you would know all these aspects of ourselves affect each other and its only getting better as i progress. Keep up the good work, I look forward to visiting your site often, so keep smiling, stay strong, love from australia, elise.
Thank you for the invite. I been fallowing Arnel Ricafranca and Vince Delmonte. I am on the last 2 weeks of BeyondSixPackAbs by Arnel. I feel in such better shape and I am very interested in fallowing the new 1,000 Calorie Challenge Workout by Arnel and you Joel. I hope I can afford.
Thank you for the tips.
You guys are great.
Hi Joel, I would like to buy your product 1000 calorie challange, but I am a bit worried about the click Bank link, Is it possible for someone to contact me or a contact e-mail, so I can speak to someone directly? I would love to still get it at the discount price. I live in South Africa.
