The guy that got me into weight lifting a few years ago is quite an interesting fellow. He is 81 now. I rented a room from him when I got divorced and he had quite the home gym. He has been lifting weights since he was 15. He used to work out with one of the greats, Norbert Shemansky, at the Flint YMCA. He was also, I believe, a state AAU champion back in the early ’50s. He told me that weightlifting used to be really frowned on by all the “health professionals”. He is actually quite against cardio because he says you get a cardio workout while lifting weights.
He helped me develop the habit of working out regularly. And I still do.
Last year I stopped to see him on his 80th birthday and he said, “Watch this.” He did 10 full dips. I was quite impressed. I told him that I hope I am able to do that by the time I am 80, because I haven’t been able to do it yet.
The biggest thing he taught me is that weightlifting is the best exercise you can do. Period. It helps you live longer and better. I want to be around a long time to enjoy my kids and future grandkids. I believe Vince’s program is just what I need to help me do that. And to get me up to 10 dips by the time I am 80. :-)

I am a 31 yr old who had never been in shape and always chunky. I went through a divorce after my time in the Marines and was at a pretty low place in my life. Hello Joel. I spent most of my school life as “the fat kid”. Being for the most part a pacifist, I didn’t fight back, and eventually I began thinking of myself just as “the fat kid”. I never had a relationship, through a combination of my looks, and the fact that I had very little confidence in myself because of my looks. But when I went for my 18+ check-up at the doctors, I found out that I had very high blood pressure as a result of my fat, and that high blood pressure ran in BOTH sides of my family (I lost both grandfathers to heart attacks). Then I decided it was time to do something about it. However, with all the fat diets and diet pills out there, I moved from one to the other with no real idea of what would work, and although I lost some weight, I was spending lots of money and occasionally making myself ill in the process. But then I found your program, and since starting I’ve lost just over 10lbs in 2 months. Do I deserve this… or not… well I will leave this up to you… I have always been a fitness buff (not always in a healthyway… but have always had great abs and toned body) then i had children… a surgeon in his attempts to deliver my son, cut my abs in two….not a pretty sight.. three other surgeons have tried to repair the damage with no real success… I want these videos so I can feel sexy again…I have accepted the scars but not willing to accept that this is the best I can be… I ‘m ashamed to let my husband see me…he never says anything only that he loves me… being ashamed of my weight gain and the way I look …please help me be me again…
I have been strength training for a year and put on 20 solid pounds of muscle (this painstaking process has been carefully documented by my trainer). He has been training me at my gym with methods that are not being used or able to be utilized by 99% of the people at my gym. He has been struggling to come up with new stuff for me to do to keep growing while losing body fat. I’m female, currently at 127 lbs, 11% body fat, 5’7″. I can lift more than most of the men at my gym. I would like to have this system for me as well as my trainer so that I can benefit from it, and he can try it and then turn around and suggest it to the rest of his clients.

I would like this copy, because both my spouse and I have Type 2 diabetes, along with some other health issues. We are at a time (age) in our lives when it is not so easy to lose the extra pounds. We are both in the education field and have many grandchildren (17), so we would like to show the younger generation that it is never too late to try to improve your life by becoming healthier.
I think that I should win the DVDs because one of the only ways I have found that I have the time to workout with my college, homework, and work schedule is to do something in my dorm. Right I have been trying a few simple exercises like pushups, situps, and minor weight movements but I have not seen any major changes, like I want to see. I really need a way to help loose weight for a upcoming trek that I am going on and I already know that when I watch a fitness show I already get more motivated and this DVD help me stay motivated.

I have to tell you, I know who needs these DVD’s, it’s me! I’m almost 28yrs old, I work full time as a Dental Hygienist. I’ve been working out at the same gym for 5yrs now. I started out at 156lbs. I tried cutting out sugar, I tried cardio, I tried training to walk the Breast Cancer 3day, I tried workout videos, I tried workout classes. Then I discovered The Truth about Six Pack Abs. So I bought it and have been using those lifting suggestions for the past 3 years. This last year I got a new workout buddy and we have been lifting 3-5 times a week. We work hard to be accountable to each other with our diet as well. Liz has lost a great deal of weight this year and looks great. I’ve been hovering at 145lbs forever! I just started CYWT and am very pleased with the results. I feel that in the gym we need to constantly change it up, find a new workout for when our bodies adapt to what we’ve been doing. So we’ll do circuit training for a few weeks then go back to straight up lifting, then try the latest fad in Womens Magazine, then back to lifting. I can’t seem to get past where I am. We need these DVD’s to set us straight. I need your No Nonsense Muscle and Six Pack DVD Series because I have been trying to get get bigger and in better shape for about four years now. I have tried many, many different programs and after putting in extraordinary effort, I get no where near the results I felt I should have achieved, which left me discouraged.
I am 5’10” weighing 145 lbs and tired of being called a skinny whinny. After working a couple years, I decided to start University this past fall, which was my first step to improving my mind, now with your help, i would like to effectively work at improving my body. Another reason, is trouble seems to find me quite often. I have been jumped and beatin up numerous times outside of bars, dances, and other social events, and would like to increase my size to discourage others from attacking me. My Mom keeps telling me to wear a helmet when I go out but I would much prefer working hard and getting bigger than wearing a helmet.
On another note I have been telling my friends that I am going to get ripped for the summer, which they all just laugh and say, “Yah, OK”. I would like to see their faces when I first take my shirt off, after working with your DVD’s and laugh at them for once.

I’ve been on my weight loss journey for about 6 years. I didn’t like how I looked or felt, so decided to get in better and healthier physical condition. I also decided to improve my health because I did not want to have to start taking meds for my high cholesterol. Well, it took FOUR YEARS for me to lose just 10 pounds. I figured I needed to find a better way to get results, so went internet surfing for sites that would help m in my journey to a healthy life.
I found Craig of Turbulence Training and Arnel of I want Six Pack Abs and Spark People at the end of last year. I use Spark People to track my calories and to read their health articles. I didn’t enter Craig’s challenge at the beginning of the year because I wasn’t sure if I could actually speed up my weight loss. Well, Craig’s and Arnel’s programs jump started my weight loss so I was able to lose another 10 pounds in 4 months. My doctor was very happy with my results. I then lost another 10 pounds by Sept of this year. So that makes 20 pounds so far this year alone.
To lose the rest of the remaining 10 pounds, I enrolled in Craig’s latest challenge, which ends this month.
Both Craig and Arnel mention others that can help improve your life and your name was one of them, so I recently started reading about your program. I haven’t purchased any of your programs yet, but my interest was up enough that I was thinking of purchasing your Cheat your Way Thin when Vince’s program went on sale and this contest came up.
I’m presently working towards the end of Craig’s latest challenge and am having a hard time losing the last few pounds. Part of the problem is that I came down with bronchitis at the beginning of Nov, so my progress was mainly no progress. I was basically just trying to maintain my gains until I was healthy again.
That’s when I saw Vince’s program offer and after several days of thinking about it decided late one night (before his offer ended), to purchase the program not just for myself, but also for my husband.

I’m a 48-year-old mom of 2 young boys (11 and 9). I am 5’6” and weight 184 lbs. I am also a competitive Masters swimmer, as well as a swim coach. I have been heavy for the past 25 years, but as I approach 50, I must do something about it now. To improve my competitive edge, I need to be lighter and stronger in order to get faster. I am fed up with being the “big girl” on the blocks and dealing with the surprised look on people’s faces when I tell them I swim competitively. For all my size, I am in the top 10 in my age group nationally, so I’m no slouch in the pool, but I can always get better and I want to get better. I want to be in the top 3 in my age group. This segues into my coaching. I should lead by example. To do this, I need to be fit and look fit when I tell my swimmers why they need to do certain conditioning exercises, why they need to eat healthier, etc. I want to show them by using my success at fat loss the results they can achieve if they follow my advice. But the most important reason is my sons. I want to be around and highly functional for a long, long time and teaching them the importance of good nutrition and proper exercise … that it will do for them as it has for me.

The ONLY reason I didn’t order the set when offered is that I am handicapped and cannot do many of the exercizes described. My wife is also unable to do the exercizes. I don’t expect to win any thing, but I thought just might have had others like us who are over weight and might be able to offer some other things that people like us can do to improve weight loss while using your dietary programs.

roughyl 21 weeks ago I opened my first fitness training studio. Since then, my life has revolved around the business of getting everyone else in shape and then doing the books, marketing and all that goes with being a new business owner. Needless to say, my workouts have suffered quite a bit. Vince’s training philosophy (and yours) is right in line with mine, so I think it’s a great fit for me. I will put these DVD’s to good use as they are sure to inspire me and help me regain the spark in my own workouts, that have gone by the wayside. As you know, energy is everything.
