I need this program because I have been battling weight my whole life. I am 56 and have arthritis, a hip replacement, Fibromyalgia and now they tell me I having thinning bones (Which I thought Fat people didnt Get) But the main reason is that now both my children are beginning to follow in my weight sadness. I want to learn everything to help them not live the pain of my life. I want to become active again to enjoy my grandchildren and help my children become all they can be.

I’m in my early 50s and in the last 5 months have dropped 15kgs through a great nutritional program, recommended by a friend, and exercise. I still have about another 15kgs to lose to get to my ideal weight but seem to have hit a wall with the weight not budging for the last 3-4 weeks. I have a fairly stressful job which predominantly has me at a desk 60 hrs / week so I know your program will give me the extra edge I need to get to my desired weight and physical condition. I’m 75, 15 pounds overweight, but in reasonable shape for my age (and mileage). I took care of my wife for the last two years, she had ALS, and I tried to feed her rich foods to sustain her. I ate what she couldn’t or wouldn’t and that didn’t help. Now that she’s gone I need an eating program that is good nutritionally, tastes good and that helps me reach and maintain the right weight. I’m an AK amputee so I get my excercise by walking the dogs. I need a program that makes sense since I’m an engineer turned writer/editor and don’t buy into the illogical, trendy hooey that is spread all over the web.

Hi Joel, thank you for developing such an exciting and innovative program. I read all of your updates and listened to all of your audios about the program and I really believe this is an effective fat loss system. It’s obvious that you’ve put in a great deal of time and research to develop this program.

I recently got married and my husband and I decided we wanted to wait about six months to get pregnant, so I got an IUD for birth control. Well, four months later I had gained about 15 pounds, despite the fact that I was working out and eating well. I had it removed, but the IUD really messed with my hormones, and I haven’t been able to find an effective system to loose the weight. I just really believe this program will work for me and I can’t wait to start it.

As a nurse I am continually educating patients and their families on how to be healthy; however I myself have been living an unhealthy life for more than 13 years. With all the stresses of full time work and a large family, I gave in to “easy” and let denial take over my existence. I am on Day 2 of Cheat to Lose which I purchased at my local book store. The science makes so much sense and I want the newer program for even better results. I am in my 50’s with fibromyalgia and arthritis and getting fit has always been difficult.

I’m in good shape according to most but 13% bodyfat and want a six-pack. I’ve read many things about health and fitness and have tried many that sounded right but not working for me. I need to know what really works, also so I can help overweight family members that are trying too, but if I can’t get it to work for me I can’t advise it. I used to weigh 30lbs more until my first year of college when I took some magic pills, exercised alot and cut back on eating too much. I think most was muscle loss as my waist didn’t shrink but my arms and legs did. I’m now mostly vegetarian and lifting weights but my body seems stuck whether I do really good or really bad for the last 5 years I don’t see changes, even when I ate fast food everyday and not active at all, I didn’t gain or lose. I now eat very healthy, exercise and eat ever 3-4 hours but still no change. What is the truth?

I have just completed a stress test and angioplast procedure. 2 stents were placed, one of which was in what they call the ‘widow maker’. I have been yo-yoing with my weight for about 30 years now and I need to get on track so that I can be sure that my weight is not a factor for not being able to see my daughter graduate college in the next year or so. I’ve been looking at several programs on the net over the the last couple
of weeks. Most seem to require leg workouts that I believe I won’t be able to perform without being guided. Let me explain my situation, I have always been up and down with my weight. Working out with weights seemed to be the wrong thing to do since I had it in the back of my mind that when I was young my father had asked a bodybuilder if I should work out in the gym. He was told that I needed to loose my weight before working out otherwise the fat would just harden. Back in 2001 I went on a low carb diet eating only 1-2 meals a day. I dropped from 245 to 175 the best weight I had been since HS. Eventually I started working out and ended up with a hernia in the scrotum. The weight eventually started to come back on and more. Last year I tipped the scales at 275. I realized I had to take steps to get myself in shape once and for all. I started eating 3 meals a day of nothing but nutritious foods and started reading information on the net. Since my new plan of action I have dropped 35 pounds and now realize I need to adopt weight training to my program. However am afraid to do so with my hernia and need someone to guide me with a program that I can adapt to my situation. I pray your program is the right one. Eventually I need to be operated on and have heard that being 54 and at the weight I was at could be dangerous, please let me know if your program would be beneficial to my needs.

HELLLPPP!!! I have what I can only describe as “fat skin”. No matter how carefully I diet and/or exercise, yes I’ve lost weight the “old-fashioned” way (slow and steady, went from 274lbs. to 147lbs. in four years), but I lost my strength (need it badly for living on a farm) and muscle tone–I DID get rid of my abdominal fat–BUT pinch a roll of my skin and it was as thick as ever. Since I was feeling so weak, I allowed myself to rebound back to 180lbs., but now I feel “waddly”–ugh! (Abdominal fat again PLUS the ever-present “fat skin”!) So I purchased your holiday package last November, and so I didn’t gain any weight over the holidays (Thanks, Joel!), and my physical strength is increasing–YAY! (I do physically intense work nearly every day, and the stronger I am the easier it is) but have been progressing very slowly with the fat–the abdominal fat is being stubborn (and my “fat skin” is still laughing at me…). I’m kind of an odd duck in that I’m a woman whose muscles bulk up nicely and quickly, so I enjoy working out with weights. I can tell they’re growing (by poking), but I can’t SEE anything under my “fat skin”!!!, and I wanna be “shredded”, “ripped”, and whatever other cool word we can come up with. Now that I’m fifty, I want to stay on top of my health, and I feel these new developments in your program would be just the ticket–especially for my “fat skin”! Also, I have a request–would it be possible for you to e-mail me a list of the veggies recommended in this new package? Hello Joel, i am a moderate active 36 yr old woman. I have been struggling with weight management and or weight loss throughout my life. I am trying to both find a way to loose the 25lbs pounds in about 4 months and keep them off for ever!. I have read your preliminary emails and i found them not only enlightening but challenging and educational. To see how our bodies work and how we could use the info you give to achieve our goals. I like hard work and i want to lose those 25 lbs in 25 days and have a tone and as fat free as possible body and live a healthy life and why not through my success inspire others!

I am nearly 56 years old and have been dieting since the birth of my second child 32 years ago! I have tried every diet out there from the coffee, cigarettes and diet soda to eating raw. I loose the weight and then back it comes, and some. It just feels like it will never happen for me. I also work with clients in assisting them to lose the weight so this would fit in well. Right now I am working on the emotional attachment to the weight. Low self esteem etc. It just feel hopeless right now. I have a shelf stacked with diet book, tapes, cd’s and audio to reprogram my mind and here I am still 40lbs overweight and my LDL at 200. My metabolism is not working for me!!! HELLLP please!

Until I can really study the program I won’t really know if it is for me or not. If it works for me than I can guarantee that it would work for anyone. I don’t believe in any quick fix program. I have read a lot of your emails and blog information and you sound like you know what you are talking about. I have had a terrible time losing my excess weight. My husband & I eat sensibly most of the time but have been unable to lose any substantial amount of weight. It seems we always hit a plateau and get discouraged. We have started using your approach along with Isabel De Los Rios’ and have begun to lose. We are both encouraged by your e-mails that say we no longer need to worry about plateaus. We just eat what we want on the cheat days and it revs up our metabolism and we continue to lose.
