This program sounds fantastic! I’m in my 30’s and with a full time job, two kids and very little time to think let alone plan my own diet/exercise. I have been unable to lose my extra pregnancy weight from either of my children and it’s very frustrating. I’ve tried several plans but they always seem to involve me doing all the planning. What I really need is a ready to go plan. With this program everything is planned out, times out, ready to go. All I have to do is follow it! With simplicity like that I’m sure to succeed! Also with the combination of meal plans and exercise, I’ll be able to not only lose weight, but actually become healthier! I’d love to have more energy and stamina to really play with the kids. I am a single mother working 2 jobs, going to school at night and coaching my kids sports teams – softball season now! I lost weight after my kids were born but have added it all back and then some. THIRTY YEARS OF FAILED WORKOUTS ! I really need this program because I have attempted to get into good shape since highschool, and I am now 46 and have challenged myself to get into excellent shape before age 50.

For years, I never had a clue about how nutrition and intense workouts need to be combined to make the difference. Several years ago I came across Body for Life, and since then I have made significant progress with 6 meals per day, and much more intensity in working out. I am gaining muscle, BUT I JUST CAN NOT GET TO THE BOTTOM OF A VERY STUBBORN LAYER OF FAT. Even the top trainer at my gym has not been able to help me figure this out. I am very persistent and committed, and have even started intense interval training but it seems to be taking forever to loose the fat. I have tried to reduce cheating to try to make better progress; I didn’t realize that cheat days are necessary!

I am absolutely sick of putting so much time and effort into my program without success. BUT THIS IS IT…. Joel, what you have already shown me in the last few days has gripped my thoughts as the final solution – MASSIVE CALORIC DEFICIT ? !! (the reason I am not progressing!!!) I’ve been learning so much since finding your website and others like Brad Pilon, the Adonis Lifestyle, Fitness Black Book, etc. Learning about fasting, and all the myths of the bodybuilding world.

As a 33 yr old Mom of 7 children ages 10 and under, I am determined to prove that I *can* have a flat stomach AND at least 4-pack abs. I CAN be fit and enjoy running and playing WITH my kids! I am fascinated by your approach of carb depletion, then a cheat day, then a fast day – I can’t wait to see what you’ve outlined so that I can jump in headfirst and try it, because in my gut I KNOW this is going to work. I am at my goal weight and have a hint of upper abs, so am ready to go to the next level to reach my four pack abs goal by summer.

I need your program because it is ultimately the last thing I need to sculpt my body into what I have always wanted. With it, I’m confident that I can lose the last bit of fat, so I can continue on my weightlifting journey. Hi Joel, I am 41 tomorrow, 3 years ago I took a fall down a flight of stairs and broke my wrist and my back, I also deveopled the killer flu twice at that time, it was too much for my body to take, so my thyroid pooped out on me, I went from 110 lbs to 147 lbs. That might not seem like a lot of weight gain to some people, but it is to me, I have alwasy been slender even after my 4 kids. I lost all self esteem and developed severe depression and anxiety. I am now entering my first figure comp in Dcember this year. I can never seem to strip the last fat no matter what I do, I think your program is going to be just what I need to get me on that stage and feeling confiedent again. It’s not about winning the comp, it is about overcoming my anxiety and depression through diet and fitness and getting my self esteem back.

Been reading a lot and trying my best to figure out what I need to do. I absolutely HATE DIET’S and am looking for a life style (eating) change. I thought I was doing well until I quit smoking and I have gained 20lbs. my wife has been very overweight since miscarriage 35 years ago and has tried just about every diet there ever was/is. this program may very well be what she has been looking for and sounds like you have put a lot of effort into it to make it work. would be great to win a copy for her. I would love to see her at least close to the body size she was when we married all those years ago, although her body size has nothing to do with how much I love her, I love her as she is but would love to see her not in pain carrying all that extra weight around as it is very hard on all her lower body joints (hips, knees, ankles and feet) not to mention how it effects her overall physical and emotional health.

I’m a female who has been struggling with weight her whole life. At the age of 10, some random mom came up to me and told me I looked like i swallowed a watermelon. My dad was always pushing me to do my best, but sometimes that came across as put-downs about my weight, which lead to some very unhealthy habits that I am not proud of, but have overcome them. So now, in college (FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY GO NOLES!!!) I wanted to prove everyone wrong, which is why I started your Cheat-Your-Way-Thin. At the beginning of the process, you weigh yourself, blah blah blah- I was 38% body fat!
I lost ten pounds, which is amazing, but no one else really notices any weight coming off yet. With the XFLD I want to go from being the “chunkier” girl in my group of friends, to sharing clothes with them. I want to prove my family wrong, my ENTIRE family, including my Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles, Parents, even younger sister, that I am WAY better looking than this.
Help get the body that I’ve never had. I have the drive, motivation, will, and even stubbornness to follow through with this.
Help me go from chunky dunking to skinny dipping!!

What does not work for this 62 year old male.

1. Daily 1 hr sessions at fitness center.
2. Diet counselors where I take off and put on 15 lbs a year.
3. Hunger pangs when not wanted.
4. Feeling of continuous dissatisfaction from results or lack of.
5.Thinking that it is too late in life to make a program work well.
6. Thinking that you have to be under 40 years for having great fitness.
7. Wasting time and money on various programs that do not deliver well

I am challenged to prove that there is hope for people in my age group with a doable program and support that will produce astounding results. I would like to be an encouraging example to many others in my age group.

Hi! I was 20 when I born my son and now I’m 36 and still I can’t lose the last 10 kg. from the pregnancy. I have tried a lot of diets and pills and from the diets I think my methabolism got slow, the yo-yo efect makes me crazy and I can’t lose weight and from the pills I feel sick. I used to be pretty fit, lean & muscular. Then I started a career, family and making excuses. I went from 198lbs to 280lbs and it wasn’t muscle gain. I decided to do something about it & was well on my way to 20lbs lost when in Sept my wife nearly died (lung issues). I lost focus on myself & my diet went south as we tried to get her healthy again. Seven months later I am even worse at 290lbs. I know what I need to do but I feel defeated, those 10 extra pounds depressed me even more. I can think of so many reasons why I need this program. I quit smoking 3 years ago, started eating healthy, working out, trying to lose 85 pounds to get to a comfortable healthy weight. Then I found out I have food sensitivities. So eating 1 wrong thing spikes the weight and the bloating and feeling sick. But it’s a tough journey and as I’ve looked through your site & your program I know in my heart that this works for me ~ it’s the next step in the same direction. I’ll be honest…I’m grossly overweight, I have been lazy, and it’s time for a change. I am one of those people that you talked about last night…find a program, stick with it for a while, lose some weight, but then it stops working or something happens and I lose the motivation. I had both knees replaced last summer and I can stand and walk fairly well for the first time in years. My work schedule makes it impossible for me to go to the gym, so I have to do something sensible that I can do at home. My life is in the midst of a complete change. I’ve met the man of my dreams who is supportive and just wants me to be healthy. He comes with a 15-year old that I need to help raise who also has a slight weight problem and self-esteem issues. My son is working on getting custody of his baby and I will also be helping to raise him, and my son has been fighting the weight battle, too. I NEED to get healthy and strong and stop doing the stupid, lazy, indulgent things that have been destroying my health for the last 50 years. Everything I heard you say last night makes complete sense, and made me feel like there was a light at the end of my tunnel. Your program is not fad or fantasy, it’s reality and it’s do-able, and it’s a common sense approach that I can share with my family so we can all be healthier.

I am approaching the big 5-0 in a few years. I was in better shape in my twenties than in my thirties. Did more in my forties than in my thirties. My forties have been fabulous and here’s to making fifties phenominal! I am doing things at this age that I never would have believed were possible. I train every day. I do American Kenpo. I roll around in BJJ with women who are half my age. I do Systema, escrima and a year ago I became a certified Kettle bell instructor. I also became a FLAG in structor to teach women’s self defense. Wisdom comes as we age I want to continue to grow and learn and be my best. I want to be a good example for my three daughters, I want to be a better instructor. I was introduced to you through Craig Ballantyne, so once again I have to thank him! I packed on quite a few extra pounds after college, and earlier this year I decided that I wanted to change that. I’ve made some simple changes to my diet and started on a fitness plan that I really enjoy. So far I’ve lost 30lb of body fat and I plan on getting rid of at least that much more before August. Your program would help me reach my goals in time for my sisters wedding. I’m part of the wedding party and want to look my best.

I’m a 46 year old working mom, who has been working out doing cardio and weights 3-4 times a week for the past 2 years, and have been struggling to lose those last 5-10 pounds this whole time. My metabolism appears to be on permanent vacation. I eat very healthy, watch my calorie intake etc. Nothing is working for me. I’m desperate to find the program that will finally help me reach my goal and maintain it once I’m there.

I am 42 years old mexican mom of two teenagers; I was overweight, tired and unhappy almost all my adult life. Eight years ago, sick and unhappy, I decided to change my life and my body and I did it! When I was 29 years old I weighted 90 kg, I was so fat!!! Now, at 42 years old I am 65 kg, pretty strong and happy, I can do 35 push ups in a row, 2 pistol squats per leg and I am working out to do my first complete chin up. I eat very clean, only natural food and almost all organic. The cores of my training are kettlebells, bodyweight and interval training in the mornings and yoga in the afternoons.

I have a lot of stubborn fat in my legs and butt and I believed it was impossible to get rid off, until I read all the information you gave me. Now I am sure this is the program I need to get the body of my dreams, the body I really deserve because I work very hard to get it, and my actual diet and exercise schedule is not the right one.

My transformation has helped a lot of people around me to decide to have a new body and a more active and healthy lives, I am quite sure that a new body transformation will lead a lot of body transformations around me. You and me together can make a lot of people happy!!

Ok Mr. Joel-here’s the thing.
I’ve been struggling with my weight now for about 16 years. I was pudgy before, then gained the typical “freshman 15” during college. Lot of yo-yoing after that. I’m now 33 and just had a baby. I gained about 30 lbs and lost about 10 after the birth. He’s 4 months old now, his name is Noah and he’s a dream. My dream, now, is to finally stop worrying about my weight; to finally look in the mirror and be blown away with what I see. I’ve never had that. You know what weight does to one’s self-esteem. When I came across your program, I really started to get into to it. It seems so logical. I’ve been working out for about 2 months now, eating healthy, but I’ve plateaued and don’t know what to do. I then tried your idea about the cheat days. But I don’t know which workouts to do for best results. I could really use the program, and I am extremely grateful to have the chance at success and a fabulous body! Pregnancy is not easy, the birth even harder. Noah was born with an infection and I had an emergency c-section. Then my scar reopened and got infected. I hit a real, deep low and it has taken months to come back up. I was so excited to hear about this. I am a 36 year old Mom with 40 extra pounds left over from having 3 babies (and 5 first-trimesters) in the last 5 years. I have been exercising like crazy and not losing a single pound (I am about ready to throw both my scale and my treadmill out the window)! Reading about your program actually re-ignited that little spark of hope I needed right now. Could there actually be something out there that will get me out of this slump? I’ve been trying to lose weight about 40yrs. Have taken off 75lbs and put it all back on and more. I’m a senior, 100lbs over weight and desperate. I belong to a gym and feel intimidated by the machines, but refuse to give up my membership it’s a lifline I can’t afford to let go. I need direction and guidence. My husband has a rare blood disorder, has been very sick for 10yrs and I’m not always able to get out. With the extra weight I’m carrying, I know it makes my organs work overtime, just to keep me going each day. I have 7 beautiful grandchildren I’d like to see grow up.
