Being over 50 sucks. Joint aches, losing your vision, forgetfulness, mood swings, sweats, and gaining weight. I’ve been the same weight most of my life, but when I hit 50, I gained about 15 pounds in about 6 weeks. It took me two years of changing my lifestyle, working out and eating more natural food to lose 10 pounds, but that last 5 won’t budge. That may not sound like much in the great realm of things, but looking back and realizing that the last 20 years just flashed by before my eyes, and I am not young anymore, now that is a shock! I don’t believe getting older has to mean that you are decrepit, so I am on a mission to do everything I can to reverse the ravages of time. Joel’s program sounds like an integral part of that mission in that it applies modern science to a carefully planned nutritional and exercise program, something I’ve not seen any where else. I believe this approach is the only way to truly accomplish those challenging weight loss goals we have, and I would love to have the opportunity to be a part of it. Thanks.

I am 49 years of age, 5’10” tall and 1 1/2 yrs ago I weighed 250lbs. I have since been dieting and excercising. I am down to 190 and have been there for the last year.
I just can’t seem to understand why I can’t loose those last twenty pounds. It is all belly fat, I count calories so I must not be eating the right combinations of food or something. I will be 50 soon and it is my goal to be fit at 50. Can you help me.

Now I am very excited about learning your total method, and I love the idea of a 25 day cycle where I have something specific to do every day. I know I can do this! I’ve been reading a lot lately about the science of nutrition, and I love that your program combines nutritional science with excercise. I’m tired of diets and programs that don’t work! I have great confidence in your method :)

I have lost 82 pounds over the past 4 years, through various methods, but I seem to be at a stand still to get off these last 20 pounds and finally sculpt my body into a work of art. I’ve always been into fitness ever since I hit the gym in grade school. I managed to maintain my weight and muscle tone up until almost 3 years ago. At that time I lost my 17 year old daughter in a horrific car crash. Initially my weight plummeted to a point where my family and friends were begging me to eat. I stopped working out because I just didn’t have the will or desire to do anything good for myself. As a result, my doctor put me on antidepressant pills to try help me get through the worst of it. The pills made me pack on 30 lbs over the course of a year and a half. I’ve recently gone off of the pills and decided to enroll in ‘boot camp’ to motivate me into getting back into working out. I enjoyed the boot camp session and learned that cardio alone isn’t going to cut it. So I bought myself a set of weights and am doing a variety of circuits every ‘other’ day and cardio on alternating days. Starting to feel like my old self. Your program looks very intriguing to me as I’m relatively new to doing weights and learning how to do the reps properly would be so beneficial! The whole system looks amazing and I think it would be a great tool to help me on my road to recovery.

I am at a point of desperation in my weight loss journey. I have tried everything and the pounds move SO slowly!! I have been diagnosed with PCOS & metabolic syndrome and work with an endocrinologist, a nutritionist and a personal trainer and still – only 1-2 pounds/month. I do cardio 6 days a week for an hour and weight train 3 days a week and follow the nutritionists plan to a “T”. My body seems destined to hold on to this stupid fat. The specialists above have basically said – be happy with what you are seeing – you’re doing all you can to make progress. It’s still not good enough for me. I’m SO frustrated. While I have lost 45 pounds in the last year and a half, I still have about 100 pounds to lose to put me into an acceptable range for my doctors and myself (a target weight right now of 175) I have 2 major goals I want to accomplish: becoming a mom (which the Dr. says if I get pregnant at this weight because of my hormone issues I will miscarry, so I can’t think about that till I’m at goal weight) and the 2nd goal is completing a half marathon, full marathon and triathlon. Not impossible at my size (I’m already training towards it), but the extra fat is detrimental for success here. I want to be healthy and able to live in freedom – not be trapped inside this “fat suit”. PLEASE HELP!!

I’m 47 years old and have struggled with my weight for probably 40 of those 47 years. I have tried diet plans and and exercise but each one just discourages me even more. What’s even more discouraging is that the older I get (hormones), the more sluggish my metabolism gets and the less responsive my body is. I have gotten to the point in believing that I’m supposed to be “skinny fat” all my life. Lastly, my family has been struggling financially due to the downfall of the economy, so being able to receive your “inspirational” progam would be an answer to prayer.

I quit smoking and put on about 20 pounds. I am trying to lose that and loved your tips I have been reading this week. It sounds like a great program!

Joel, you are my last hope. I have been suppressed and sometimes depressed with my 200 plus body for 25 years probably!!! I have tried low fat, low carb, and sooooooo many more, with exercise included, to no avail. Just one disappointment after another. Tomorrow I will be 58 years old! My body is trying to tell me I’m older, while my mind and attitude feels like 35 or so!!!!!! I want my knees not to hurt from all this excess weight, along with my back. I need to go out the rest of my years ‘HEALTHY’. I really still have hope for a better way to take care of me. I`ve been an Endomorph all my life and i seriously think that the XFLD programs might work for me to help shed that extra adipose from my body.
Being on a regular workout program in the gym I find it kind of hard to maitain a lean body even after all that workout and proper nutrition and supplementation.

I have a very rare syndrome called Bardet-Biedl. Obesity is the most common symptom. And there is obesity in my family apart from the syndrome. I’ve been bombarded with obesity my entire life and as a child was told that I would never be skinny. I have tried just about everything under the sun except for surgery to fight my obesity, but nothing really seems to work. I tried the true blue 500 cal. HCG Diet and I lost 88 lbs. But I got beyond the point of being done and of course gained back 30 lbs. I did a cleanse and lost 20 then gained back 5. Exercise and diet sort of work, but the moment I stop being careful, the weight comes back like a magnet next to metal. I can easily gain t0-15 lbs. in a week. Then I can never get rid of it all. I get very hungry very easily, which can make dieting torturous. I still want to lose about 40 lbs. But I didn’t know how to do it without doing something extreme that will tick off my body later. I’m more than sick and tired of the diet scam. When I read your fat loss plan, the theory made sense. I was very excited that there might be a way to lose my weight fast without screwing up my body again. And if something makes sense, I’m willing to try it at least once.

I’m nearing the end of my University life and the beginning of my career. I have a small body frame but since I was 13 years old, I have been watching the pounds pack onto my abdomen and thighs. I’ve done everything I could think of to stop it or slow it down (I even spent my savings on a trainer for the summer and went on a strict health food diet set up by a naturopath). I’ve finally stopped gaining weight but nothing has ever come off despite my best efforts. I still have the motivation but I to go in the right direction for me and this seems like a great program that can help me to figure out what will work for my body.

I want my body to look as good and fit on the outside as I feel on the inside. That means going down in 1-2 clothing sizes. I’ve been “trying” to do this for about 5 years. But every time I drop 2-3 pounds, I overreact and they come back on. Your system appealed to me because it explains a lot of what I do.

I can remember starving myself to the point of passing out ,and working out at a gym until I thought I was going to throw up. I have tired numerous diets over the years, and sadly I have failed them all.They all seem to have bland card board diets.Your approach to this plans goes against everything I have read about dieting,and have had pounded into my head over the years by my doctors. I have been very excited reading your info about XFLD and can’t wait to get my hands on the whole program. I have been following Dr. K’s DEFL and my arms and legs are looking much better but I still have too much fat on me to see real results especially in my abs.
I call my self a stay-at-home mom of two kids ages 8 and 6 but I have several part time jobs as well as volunteering activities that keep my away from home. I teach a kick boxing class at the community center that I manage in our small rural community. I would love to do your program so I can wow my students with the results. I am also getting ready to coach my daughters softball team soon and her soccer team in the fall. I would love to be able to wear shorts, instead of capris, at the games and practices and not have to worry about my thunder thighs being a distraction to the kids and an embarrassment to me and my wonderful hubby.
I think this program would work great for me as I have been trying to loose weight since my son was born 6 years ago. I need help combining my fitness and diet routines in order to get killer results because obviously something is wrong in my diet if I haven’t lost more than 5 lbs on Dr. K’s great program.

So excited about your new program, I’ve been tlaking about May 4th all week :-). I am the typical yo-yo dieter. I workout a lot but don’t always make the right food choices and after reading your “preview” it all makes sense. Great information for over weight (aka fat) people. SMART HEALTHY and I can not wait to get my pre-baby body back!

I’ve read different information, but I agree with your research. Dieting doesn’t work because your own bodily defense will kick in to prevent starvation while breaking down muscle. Muscles are important to burn calories. Still to build muscles calories are needed and knowing what to eat is important to avoid getting fat.

Seeing the results of Vince DelMonte, and others. I am convinced your program will help us all get our dream body as we are currently struggling to get there. My family (mum, dad, and 3 little brothers) has been struggling and trying different things all without much results. Especially mum, dad and one brother have more body fat than they are happy with. If I’d win your program we would be able to achieve the synergy between muscle and food, and therefore get more out of life!

I’m 21 years old and was once 305 lbs. Over the past year and a half I’ve lost 55 of those pounds and have since hit a plateau in my weight loss. I’ve never had a problem gaining muscle, but I can never seem to do so without gaining bits of fat along with it. This is my last year being able to play college football after two years off and I would love to prove wrong the coach who told me I was too big to play linebacker and too small to play the line. Getting absolutely shredded is my only option. I’ve also been trying to cut as much fat as possible and become the epitome of health and vitality, because ever since my grandfather passed away in 2001 of a heart attack, at only 62, I have been extremely worried about my health in the long and short term. I would love to be able to go into the real world, my career, starting a family, etc., with knowing that I’ve done all I can to lessen my chances of the same thing happening to me. I know that this program, beyond any others, will help me achieve my goals.

Heyy Joel, You are an inspiration… I have been taking care of my mom the past several years and she just recently passed away from complications of diabetes.
