Hey Joel, I am 43 and desperately trying to loose the fat I have accumulated over the last 25 years. I am 5’8″ and was topping out at 255. I started getting serious about loosing the 70+ lbs of fat about a year ago and it has been extremely frustrating. As you described, i was able to loose about 15lbs in about 4 weeks, then a few more pounds over the next couple..and since then its been a constant ping pong between 237-240. I started working your diet (as much as you have shared) and I have lost another 5lbs in the first 5 day cycle (down to 233). I would love to follow you program TO THE LETTER to see just how much weight I could drop….I am betting I could beat the 25lbs in 25 days. Hi! You’re program is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’ve grown up living healthy and have been involved in sports my entire life. I’ve always had muscle but I found that I’ve never really been able to get “trim” or “lean” no matter how much cardio or weight lifting I did. Hi Joel, I’m a sixty year old woman with a heart condition. I’m 5’2″, weighing in at 207, and it’s been creeping up a lot recently. I don’t eat enough food to be gaining weight. My lower extremities are swollen and it hurts me to walk. I’m not allowed to do more than light cardio, at the moment, and my cardiologist is not impressed with my weight. I need to find a way to start dropping these pounds fast. Please say there’s a light at the end of this tunnel and give me a hand finding it. You’ll be my hero.

First, I love your articles. I can really connect with your scientific approach to weight loss. In 2008 I did a weight loss challenge. Everything was written out for us (Food, exercise, relaxation). After 13 weeks, I lost 29# of FAT (10%BF)!! But that was achieved by eating 1200cal everyday and working out 2-3 hours, 5-6 days a week!

I thought that I had it figured out… until I joined the gym and had to do it on my own. I got a great trainer. I continued the 1200 calories and I was lifting heavy for 1 hour 2 days a week and doing 2 hour cardio 3 days. I started to get pain in my foot and found out I had Plantar Fasciitis. With my injury, my trainer was not able to keep pushing me, so we concentrated on weights solely (walking hurt!!). I was getting stronger, but my weight reversed itself.

December I had surgery on my foot and can now do cardio for 40 min. Luckily, I had paid my gym membership for the year up front, so I don’t have an excuse for not going to the gym. But I’m embarrassed about my weight gain so I haven’t gone. I think that I would be less intimidated going back to the gym if I had a clear idea of what my goals for each day were and I had something in black & white instead of pulling ideas from a magazine.

Hey Joel, I have been reading all about you, John, Vince, and Dr. K for about 6 months now. I have been using all of your techniques for my goal of revealing my abs. I want to prove to my family and friends that if I can do it so can they and hopefully they will pass it on to others and eventually help the bigger cause of obesity in our society. But I want to step up to the plate to do so, and this program will take me one step closer to not only revealing my abs, but revealing to the world that everyone has the opportunity to get in the best shape of their life!

I’ve done most things, personal trainer, the extreme diets (plus normal ones!), even bought stuff off the net (must be pretty desperate eh?!). Anyway, Im pushing 40, but feel 50!! I have heard so much about your programs and an opportunity to really try one would be the best opportunity for you to advertise (me with my new body) in Australia. My husband and I (of 25 years) have been transitioning the way we eat for roughly 3 months, we are doing good. But my husband certainly wasn’t happy with not having a “cheat day” ~ We have been following your method and he is much happier since then !!! Thank You
But……….. we would like to learn even more, we have always struggled with our weight and for years followed fad diets and such only too………. you guessed it, gain it all bad and then some :-(
So now we are learning so many new ways to eat, it’s all so amazing and are very proud of ourselves but would LOVE a free copy of your program as we still have SO much to learn. Hey Joel! in 2008 I lost 100lbs going from 337 down to 237 in about 10 months using the Body for life plan and managed to hover around there until early summer of 2009. I let life get the best of me and by January of 2010 I was back up to 299 pounds and really pissed off at myself for the regression. I have spent 18 weeks getting back down to 250lbs and want to go all the way this time and make it a permanent life change. I know the free/cheat day works and want to learn more about the fasting day. I am 6’3″ and “big boned” so I think I will be in single digit bodyfat around 220lbs… that gives me 30 pounds to achieve my goal. Free or not, I’m giving XFLD a try! I became interested in your line of thinking while I was on a rabbit trail from Mark’s Daily Apple blog. I had a baby 8 months ago and was an avid cardio addict. Now I am more interested in weight lifting/no grains lifestyle, I feel so good living this way. I am having trouble getting the last few pounds of baby weight off, I want to go from lean to super lean! I want nice abs for the summer:) And I’ve found that I can accomplish more in less time if I do it the right way, I just need some help fine tuning how I get there and am intrigued by your ideas. I’d like to give it go!

Hey, men well literally it’s the perfect time right now because, I’m sure your familiar with the Roman’s program FFFL, let me say that it’s an awesome program, in 7 weeks I lose over 15 Lb of pure fat, most of it in the fisrt 4 weeks, before that I tried out several diets and wind up losing nearly 10Lb of muscle, and at most 3LB of fat, not good. But right now, even I had such excellent results, the past couple weeks it had been hard to keep the fat loss ratio, and I could see it in the fat over my navel, dont get me wrong it’s an awesome program, but i think that I’m still not getting that 1+1=3, you talked about in the first report. SO you could not adress with more specifics the “problems” (not really, but natural situations in our bodies that had slowe my fat loss rate) in my diet, the synergistic diet-workout it’s in your program, because, well maybe you didnt notice but you gave a few small tricks in the updates, and the one that I take most advantage of, the leptin recovery day, I did it combined with the predepletion day with the lactid acid training and BUM, this week I finally lose the navel Fat!!!!!! So right now great results, but still not EXTREME results, so let’s make it happen.

I have never been able to get the definition that I want. I’ve been working out for ten years and I think I’ve tried everything. The one thing I can’t seem to get right is how to release body fat, so that I can truly get lean. I’m tired of carrying around that fat. I know it would improve my health, too. I’d like to have an eating program that’s combined with the right exercise. That surprised me when you told us about that. The ‘type’ of exercise is just as important as the way we eat. That’s a huge revelation to me. I know you’ve done your homework here, done all the research and experimentation. To start off, (no ass-licking), I followed your blogs and their amazing. They helped me alot so far. Thanks to you I kept the motivation to stop smoking and loose that fat.
I`m an ex-obese kid, lost most of the weight since last year, i`m down to a 4-pack. This summer after the first year of college, I`m gonna go visit my child-hood crush, see how it goes on wining her after all the confidence built along with the fat shreded. I`ve been with this 4-pack for over 2 months… plateauing for so long is actually demotivating. Its always been a dream to achieve the 6pack, if I do achieve it i`ll actually prove I can do anything I set my mind to it. I`m sure with your program i`ll be able to achieve it. One thing about being the popular kid when you were at highschool , you know alot of people and you can reach alot of people. So in some claim, I want to inspire all the people who say their born fat and change their life also. We work ourselfs to become an inspiration also don`t we? I believe you can bring the proper knowledge to help me out become more powerfull and leaner.

Hey Joel,

I am about to turn 24 on Saturday and I feel as though I’ve been a slave to my body my whole life. I have struggled with feeling self conscious because of my body and in the past have allowed it to completely consume me. I missed out on so many social events…especially in the summer due to my insecurities. I have since worked on learning to love myself and know that I am in a much better space mentally and emotionally, however my body still does not reflect how good I feel. I have a strong passion for health and love working out, I just need a guide or something to trust in which is why I would love your program! I currently need to lose 25-30 pounds and would love the opportunity to do so with Xtreme! Thanks :o)

Hey Joel, I have tried multiple programs and they have resulted in some success but mostly failure. They were either too difficult to continue long term (my fault) or did not do what they said they would (their fault). After reading your updates, they make sense to me and I have been already making changes in my eating habits as well as doing High Intensity Training. I would like to read everything you have to say in your system to continue with my weight loss and goal to become ripped!

Hi Joel!

I am almost 45. I used to run and starve to keep my weight under control. It was no longer working. I had no muscle. I spent a year in the gym doing the same weight routine 5 days a week at the end I had gained 10 pounds but pretty much looked the same. I have hired trainers that told me I had to do 1-2 hours of cardio a day and one that would let me eat no carbs. I think what you have talked about makes sense and I hope you pick me and I get the results I have been looking for!

I have been working religiously. 5 times a week. But everytime i try to loose the fat i end up burning so much my muscle that i end up looking scrawny and still fat. I have been trying to get a six pack for a while. But no matter what i do i cant seem to do it. I dont eat power bars. I eat whole foods. I just need a program that works to help me get the body that i have always desired. I want to show also to my family that it you can have an amazing body if you work hard at it. But so far i work and stay strict in my diet but no results.

Yo Joel, Coming from a family with a cursed metabolism, I have been struggling to lose and keep off stubborn fat that has haunted me for years! Although I am only a junior in college, I have decided that I would benefit substantially, by making a change in my life early on, before I do any serious damage. With diabetes running through my father’s side of the family, I think that a turn to a healthy lifestyle couldn’t be beaten. I’m 44 year-old mom of six, grandma to two. I’m 209 lbs at 5’9″. I have been training and eating all the right things according to doctors for 18 months now. During this time I found out I have metabolic syndrome. I lost 30 lbs in the first 3 months and nothing since. No matter how hard I work or how much or little I eat I can’t seem to lose the weight/fat. I feel stronger than I have since I was 18 but there’s still so much fat on my body.

I have completed my first triathlon and a 62 mile bike ride along with a 10K and three 5K’s so far this year. It’s not like I’m not active :)

Hey Joel. Firstly I really want to win this so I can stop dreaming about winning it. It’s been on my mind every minute since you started sending those emails of urs :-). I’m just so excited!!! I know I can trust you because you get results and you’ve also studied the concepts really well. I kind of struggle with sticking to “long term no-treat” plans so this is a breath of fresh air. I can handle fasting for a day if it means I can look forward to a day off. The added bonus is that I won’t lose muscle mass. Your plan will take the guesswork out of how to train and eat correctly. It’s a daily “to do list” and that’s exactly what I need to keep the focus. I need to lose about 10kgs so this will sure help. Joel, I’m 59 yrs old and have diligently tried everything under the sun in the past few years to get rid of my 100 lbs of excess weight. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and I have had 3 surgeries. I have not been able to do much physically since the beginning of January and I have put on some weight. Hi Joel, I am at my all time high weight. I was fit for a while but had to take some medicines that really messed me up as far as my weight. Since then I have been on many “diets” and at times lost a significant amount of weight but inevitably would fail as one cannot live on these diets forever. I have started a more healthy way of living and am really intrigued by the idea of cheat days with a step by step process for the complete system. I look forward to seeing what you have for us.
