I think I have tried nearly every type of diet under the sun over the last 10 years. I keep struggling with 30-40 pounds. I hired a personal trainer last year for 3 months, I worked my tail off & ate exactly how my trainer told me to eat. Some weeks I would lose 1-2 pounds & towards the end I started gaining weight. I have started your Cheat your way thin program the day of Thanksgiviing of 2009. Since then, I have lost a total of 56 pounds! It’s amazing! My trainer and I have been implementing lots of your HIIT along with strength training. I have till mid July to lose the last 20-25 pounds. It’s getting harder and harder to drop the weight. I want to PROVE to everyone that I’m going to do it and will do it! Everyone including my whole family doesn’t think I can do it. (Nice family huh?) I have been obese and have lost a bit of weight over the years, but every time I design a program for myself, I fail. Nine years of countless times failing to lose the last 30 of 90ish pounds (now 45 unfortunately after these past holidays!) As I’m trying to write this I ask myself too why do I really need this? I’ve really been following loads and loads of program on building muscles and burning fat but the results doesn’t appeal that much, It has been 4 months now I’m left with this last few bit pounds of belly that I want to get rid off and achieve my first life goal for my birthday vacation! I am in that over 40 getting harder to lose weight category. I have recently lost 35 pounds but it was on a diet that was so monotonous and boring it was making me crazy. I have been working out consistently a lot of treadmill trainer with Yuri Elkaim but need a surefire way to lose the final 25 pounds of fat (mostly belly fat). I have tried many different diets and workout programs and have been successful to a certain extent on all of them. Several years ago I even did Body for Life and loved that both the food and workouts were planned but had young children at the time and found it hard to make my eating seperate from the rest of the family. My kids are older now (teenagers) and have the desire to eat healthy and workout with me. Pick me and I will be the best walking advertisement you could ever find. Help me be the positive role model I desire to be for not only my kids but for all the other over 40 moms who want a program that works.

Hi Joel, I’m 43 and have two girls – a three year old and a six year old.
Both of my girls have massive allergies and intolerances and I need to cook everything that they eat from scratch. They can only eat organic foods so I started a vege garden, I even grind the grains I use for baking. My girls can’t go to school due to their allergies so I am home schooling.
I just don’t have time to think about myself too much, but I’m getting more and more tired and depressed as I get heavier and heavier.
We eat very “healthily”, but I’m still stacking on the weight. I desperately need a way of loosing the weight quickly and getting strong so I can just get on with being the mum I need to be. I can’t change a lot about most of what goes on in my life, but I hope with a hand from you I can change this.
I really need help out of my rut.

I have always been “fat”. OK, maybe when I was really little I was “skinny”, but as an uncoordinated kid at a genetic disadvantage with asthma and severe allergies, exercise just wasn’t possible much of the time. And as an adult, I also inherited the arthritis that all the females in my family have. So traditional diets and “exercise programs” either haven’t worked or are unworkable. I have been looking for something that I could either do outright or adapt to my range of motion limitations, and this sounds like it fits the bill. A plan that works WITH my body? What a concept!

December I had surgery on my foot and can now do cardio for 40 min. Luckily, I had paid my gym membership for the year up front, so I don’t have an excuse for not going to the gym. But I’m embarrassed about my weight gain so I haven’t gone. I think that I would be less intimidated going back to the gym if I had a clear idea of what my goals for each day were and I had something in black & white instead of pulling ideas from a magazine.

You had me hooked from the first email. I’ve done a lot of studying myself of this approach to weight loss but didn’t know how to put the plan together. The starvation mode my body goes into that halts any forward weight loss is so frustrating that I just get fed up and quit! I’ve seen in my attempts before that calorie loading works if done correctly but that’s where I get lost. What is the correct way? I am 55 yrs. old and I want to catch up to my wife. She is very healthy concious and has me doing workouts and eating healthy to get fit. I can’t seem to speed up my motabolism. I am the very proud mother of a daughter born just over three years ago on my 41st birthday. I am a full time, stay at home mom (as a matter of fact, my daughter has never even had a babysitter…I am talking seriously fulltime!!) In addition to this, I am still breastfeeding, and am in the process of finally totally weaning her (my goal is the end of May) and truly reclaiming my body (after nearly four years of sharing, very exciting).
I have a gym in my home, and have tried several programs, and am in pretty good shape, but really want to be the fittest, healthiest mom on the block as I am definately one of the oldest. I want to be around for my girl in my healthiest form for the next forty years…I don’t think there could be a better reason in the world…do you?? To be a positive role-model for my daughter is what drives me to head to the gym instead of napping when she does, and to try to reach for food that will fuel my body when what I really want is chocolate…I am hoping your sustem makes the best use of my limited time.
