Joel thanks for the chance to pen my thoughts,
Although it’s done with tears in my eyes,
I don’t really “think” that I am overweight,
But the mirror reflects those self-lies.
You see I used to be fit & a sprinting champ,
Back in the days gone by at school,
But moving out from home and living alone,

I don’t have the knowledge to set myself right,
But the mind is motivated to move,

Motivation and determination have never been a factor for me. I’ve tried a lot, got a lot of advice from so called ‘experts’, made some satisfying gains but could never go that last step. I am stuck where most people are who have worked so hard but reached that point of extreme and almost complete dedication to lose the last few pounds. My body just seems to fight back and put on more fat as a result of my efforts. After reading some of your tips and articles, I just said to myself ‘this is what might be missing’ and perhaps your program will be able to overcome that last crucial step . I think this program would be ideal for me because my metabolism has definitely slowed down and after being knocked down by a car two and a half years ago and having a plate put in my leg I am not as active as I was. I am 62 and enjoy aqua fit (no impact) and feel that the program would really suit me and I am at a time in my life where I really want to do something about my weight (230 lbs and 5 foot 7 inches tall). I lost 26 lbs in 2007, but in December 2007 I had lung emoblisms and consequently needed a hysterectomy in August 2008. I kept my weight constant for 2 years but suddenly gained back nearly all the weight I’ve lost. They also removed my ovaries in October last year, so I’m 41 years and in a surgical induced menopause. I’ve been exercising for a while now, but can’t seem to lose any weight! I try to keep my diet as healthy as possible, but nothing seems to help. I do feel better since I started excercising, but it would be so much better if I could only lose the weight I’ve gained. I read your mail and free stuff and believe that your stuff could help me. I would like to know more about the pre cheat excercise and depletion. I also think that hormones, or the lack of it has a lot to do with my weight gain, but I don’t know what to do about it. please help!

I feel I have been on a diet almost for ever with yoyo effect. I have two boys now and can’t manage to loose weight anymore. Diets don’t work on me anymore, I don’t loose a pound with all the efforts and sports I do. I feel I want to try you method, because it’s not a diet but a way I could eat forever. Maybe I will get the body I’ve always dreamed of.
I would love to be able to loose weight and be confident within myself. I wouldn’t say I was overweight, but I would say that I lack so much confidence it makes life hard. I’ve suffered from depression for over 3 years now, which is how long I have been single also, and it’s taken a toll on my social life, which is virtually non-existant. I have no confidence when it comes to doing anything, and I feel getting in shape via your program would really give me the boost I need.
My dad was diagnosed with heart disease, he isn’t obese but he’s big and his diet in previous years has been shocking. Combined with stress from work, his health has gone into rapid decline. Our doctor has told him that if he wants to stick around long enough to see me and my sister have children then he needs to lose weight and reduce stress in his life.
I myself am a bit squishy around the waist and it definitely affects my confidence in summer (we live in New Zealand so Christmas = Beach + Bikinis).

I am 40 years old mum (1 daughter). As I am working 9am – 5pm I leave my home at 8 am (to go to kindergarden first) and I came home around either 6pm or 7.30 pm (when she has dancing classes). I tried different diets so far, but usually they are hard to follow when I am out of the house all day. I need a diet and exercise plan than I can easily folow at home.

I began a diet program almost a year ago I ballooned almost to 400lbs from bad habits. Currently to date I have lost 85lbs I watch what I eat and exercise daily. I’m 32 years old and I the last 8 months I have lost about 25kg doing my own diet and circuit training at home. In the last month I started to decrease in fat loss and I guess I got some lean muscle mass because the scale stopped moving but no fat addition. I started to watch for Dr. K and consequently ended up following Vince, Joel, John R. and getting tips from you guys and implementing into my workouts. I want to get to the next lvl, I want to lose these last 10 pounds of fat but I want to keep my muscles and I know that what I know so far is not enough so I want to try to follow a great program. About 4 years ago, when I was 24 years old, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Ever since then, I’ve been on a path towards optimum health. I have tried for years to lose weight and I can’t. My metabolism is in a mess and I am desperate, because my blood pressure is sky high and my arthritis is extremely painful. Love your emails and newsletters. I’m a big fan of your since like 3 years ago. I have read all the stuff you published on T-muscle and was charmed by your posts there, specially how you found and used the cheater’s diet the first time. I’ve been training for the Ironman triathlon for over 2 years and completed it last summer. This is by far the biggest achievement I accomplished in my life. Since the summer I took a break from cardio after overtraining and injuring myself from all the thousand of cardio hours in preperation. I have ‘bulked’ since than and gained alot of muscle but since i ate dirty and just stuffed myself with everything I saw and ate far above maintainance I gained alot of fat too. I guess this is the way you gain if your body is used to cardio and not doing it anymore for like 9 months. I want my abs back and want to look like I did when competing at the Ironman only this time with lots of more musclemass packed on me. I’m motivated as hell since to complete the Ironman triathlon you need a willpower and motivation of steel. I’m willing to give 200 % for your XFLD and therefore I think I’m the perfect candidate for your XFLD.

I did the steady-state cardio/aerobics thing for years, did the weight training thing for years, did the half-assed personal trainer thing for years, did the low-card dieting crap for years, nothing dramatic happened.
