For years I have battled with my weight. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to shift any significant weight. As a police officer in the UK, fitness is an important part of my job requirement so I go to the gym three or four times a week (depending on my shifts), and although I am strong, I still have a lot of excess fat. My four children take up a large part of my life and they are great, however, being young, they are brutally honest. Just the other day my five year old was sat on my lap. She turned to me and said: “Dad, why are you a fat dad?” My six year old helped answer with: “It’s so we can bounce on his big fat belly!” Though I did not let on to them, this hurt more than you can imagine.

I first became interested in health and nutrition a couple of years ago, and since then I’ve developed a growing passion and thirst for knowledge in this area. I have followed different programs with fairly decent results although it was only recently that I’ve come to realise that the positive consequences of improving oneself can extend to others as well and that one can inadvertently become a role model that others would feel inspired learn from and follow. I’m especially hoping to inspire my parents, both of whom are in their 40s, struggle with their weight and suffer from various health issues as a result. I myself am in fairly good, but not great, shape so I am searching for an effective program that will accelerate my progress. I trust the science behind strategic overfeeding, fasting and incorporating specific exercises to work synergistically with the intake of certain foods. I have struggled with weight all of my life and have been a Major yo-yo dieter and now that I’m “middle” aged it’s even harder to get the weight off. I’ve been looking for a program like yours forever and have been following the tips you have been sending out & really hope I can get the whole program. I have been hoping for a long time to get my weight off to set an example for my daughter (who has also struggled with her weight) and hopefully we can Both finally be RID of the miserable weight!
I started working out about 3 yrs ago and I train 4 to 5 times a week. In that time I have done free weights and cardio, but by and large free weights. My initial aim was to shed weight i.e to lose fat and thought cardio was the key, but I realised the benefits of resistance training. My starting weight was 78 Kg and my current weight is 90 Kg, but I am unable to lose the fat. I am unable to get my body fat composition to less than 15%. I would like to lose 5 to 10 kg and believe your program is the key to me achieving a sub 10% body fat composition.

I am a grandma who has battled her weight all her life! I have had more success with the Atkins Diet than any other, but always seemed to run into some problem that kept me far from my ideal weight (between 140 and 150) I have not been under 200 for at least 15 years. Also, my children have had weight problems as well as several grandkids. If this would work for me I could be an example to the rest of my family and this could be an answer to prayers to keep weight related illness away from my family (not to mention how much better I would feel about myself if I could actually PLAY with my grandkids!)
Hey Joel: I’m 49 next month and when I moved back to New England 16 years ago I went from 60-72 hrs/week in F&B in great shape to a desk job working 40. Within 5 weeks in training (staying w/Mom before I relocated) I put on 30#-tried like hell to take it off, exercise, diet…no loss & fed up & slowly but surely got heavier, plateau’d, got heavier & plateau’d…and finally topped out in Nov/Dec 2009 @394…scared the S**T out of me…looking at surgery…but gooing thru the waiting period getting tests & seeing a nutritionist, I’m actually counting calories and I’ve lost 55# in 3 months…you know, you actually CAN get 4 serving out of a pint of ice cream? Damn..I always thought it was one! LOL I’m plateauing & need something to kick back into high gear, but do it safely & responsibly…listening to and reading your messages sounds like you have a winner here. The thing that I loved most about what’s really behind this program, is the faith and believing that it will work and how it just comes down to you…the person who needs this the most. Our bodies are not who we are, they are simply an external limitation on life itself…always being judged and criticized. So why not show the best of ourselves? I teach self confidence to children…at a very young age, these kids are learning how to love themselves and when people learn to love themselves they learn to love life…what better way to teach that to adults than this program.

I was one of those who believes in crash dieting in my teens. But when I hit 20, I started putting on weight despite how little I ate! In desperation, I started running 4 times a week, each run was about 6-9km. And still, I don’t look any better. Sure I felt better, but my jeans wasn’t any looser.
I have one major problem with my body. My upper body wasn’t bad, some lovehandles and bulge on the tummy, it wasn’t a major issue. My legs are my worst nightmare. They look like elephant trunks and no matter what I do, they never shrink! They are fat-laden and wobbly. I tried leg machines in the gym, running, lunges – nothing worked. My BMI is in the overweight range despite my dress size being S-M. My legs are too heavy and carries too much excess fat, but I have no idea how to get rid of it.
I read your explanation on metabolism and I believe this will work for me. This rapid fat loss programme is my last resort to make myself look better… Before I save some money and get me some liposuction!

I’ve been overweight all of my life. But 3 years ago something happend, I met someone and lost 70 pounds. It was amaizing. It was really hard and slow. After that I got pregnant. Now I have adorable 1 year old douther and I weigh 280lbs. I gained back those 70 pounds + 20 extra. Now I’m trying the old methods but nothing works. Its college break in 3 weeks for 4 months. That means xtreme parties, xtreme wasting with xtreme babes therefore I need an xtreme diet! hahaha. I am a competitive athlete and coach college tennis, and I have been looking for a fat-burning plan to lean up and shed this unnecessary excess bulk! Thanks for all your motivational emails in the past year. I originally purchased the “Cheat your way Thin” but never got it off the ground at the time because of personal setbacks. (my dad passed away one year ago today) and I had to move closer to my mom to help take care of her. As this was going on I also had to make a very chalenging job transition which involved lots of travel. I am 56 yrs old and am finally ready to get back into shape and feel good again. Need to lose 30 lbs. of fat so I can enjoy my life again despite constant personal obstacles. I have 20 years of dance training. I really think this program is what i need right now. i have been going through a body transformation for the past three months. Starting from 210, I’m down to 170 now, and i want to cut off another 40 lbs.. i would like to build muscle and lose fat, This last three months have been the happiest of my life, seeing the change in my body, and seeing what i can do when i really motivate myself and set a goal. I have been dieting, not on a fix plan, but protein rich, healthy carbs and smaller portions, cardio every day, resistance training 3 times a week, and i can feel the muscles even when i walk. Of course like everyone else, i’ve hit a plateau, and stopped dieting for a while, which put a few lbs back, but starting again was a lot easier, and those few lbs just melted away.. So i not only believe but know that cheat days work, i have a lot less body fat than i used to do, and seeing that it worked with fitness people like you guys, considering you have not much body fat, i believe i’m at a stage where i need a kick to lose fat, and your program seems to be the ultimate solution. I need to know that what i start will work, and do not want to waste time with nonsense diets, which never work.
Joel, I need help to lose weight. I have reached a point in my life when at 41 if I don’t do it now it will be a downhill slide to bad health and whatever else I don’t even want to think about. But I do think about my 2 young boys and husband. Most importantly my body is telling me that it is time but I always find it hard to lose weight. Hello Joe, I really appriciate the time and efforde that you have put in to making such a program. In the past few emails that you have send me reaveling fat loss tricks, i have learned quite a few things. But, I am very strict on my body, to try to keep weight off, i wolud have apples or other fruits all day and go exersise. And i have no idea of how to eat healthy anymore, because sometimes i wolud eat reagular one day, and feel very guilty than starve myslef for 2 days or vomit, so i don’t gain weight. For over 3 years i have been taking diet pills, wich i know is bad but i care to much about my body and even i do all that, i stille gain a lilttle weight. I really want to not eat diet pills anymore and know how to eat, when to eat and what to eat and how to be lean yet happy about everyday life and not feel gulity of whatever i eat (eg.cake). Not like now i am very depreesed, and concerned every second about if i eat that will i gain wieght thus starve myslef resluting in lack of energy in the day time and falling asleep in calss.
