Hello Joel. I have been reading your updates and have thought that this would be very helpful to me. I am not overweight. I exercise every day (jogging in the morning, weights a few hours later, and stairmaster early afternoon). I mean, I exercise a lot, and have for years. I switch my routine around based on the time of year. Strength building phase in the fall/winter, endurance phase in the spring, cardio phase in the summer. My problem is, now that I am 45, the weight that I gain during the strength building phase does not come off during the other phases like it used to. This makes it harder to do the jogging and stairs to the same level of fitness as the previous year. If I stop doing weights to ramp up cardio, I lose muscle mass. It has been so hard to increase raw strength that I hate giving up the muscle and starting over again for the next annual strength phase. I am hoping that your system can help me drop the excess weight without allowing the loss of lean muscle mass. I simply must have lower body fat comp and higher lean muscle mass. I have not been able to find a way to do this on my own, no matter how much reading I have done and no matter how many things I have tried. I am 6’0″, 205#. My normal weight during cardio phase has been 180-185 in previous years by May… :( Please help.

I have over 100 lbs to lose. My wife and I tried several “diet” plans.

I started to work from home.
This plan would be great because
a) I will be able to do the exercises at home (had bad experiences at gyms)
and since I don’t have to travel to work, that time can be used to do them
b) control what I eat and when I want to eat without any additional input from co-workers or management, or being tempted by special occasion treats
c) With my results, I will be able to help my wife lose weight too.

I am a veteran of failed diets. On my first liquid diet program in 1985, lost sixteen pounds but gained back twenty five. Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, SlimFast, Dexatrim, LA Weight Loss, and Atkins diet programs – I have lost weight on EVERY SINGLE ONE only to REGAIN it with ‘interest’ EVERY SINGLE TIME. Unwilling to live my life “dieting” I surrendered the battle. Three years ago I topped out at 288 (stand 5’10”), on HBP meds and a cholesterol level closing in on 300. I was essentially eating myself to death. In July 2009 my wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I supported her winning her way through a double radical mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. I realized if she can beat cancer, I can beat obesity. July 2010 I began counting my calories using Lose It! (iPhone app) – paying attention to what I eat and how much. I am not ‘dieting’, I changed my lifestyle! I work out three times a week in a gym, hired a personal trainer to push me through Calisthenics. Today I weigh 222.2 and am OFF all my HBP and Cholesterol meds! I turn 50 in six months, my goal is to be under 190. After reading your articles on metabolism, I realized this is the final piece in my plan to be healthier and fitter at 50 than since I was 18. You have helped me so far, I thank you for what you have done already. XFL will only help me further!

I leave in Cancun, Mexico and I am 30 years old. I probably hadn’t taken care of a healthy life before my wife and I decided to have a baby (she is currently pregnant). But about 1.5 years ago we tried and tried but failed and failed getting her pregnant. The problem was basically me and my poor and sedentary life which decreased my “seeds” production. At that time I was about 90kgs (although I am 1.71mts) but needed to start with a new life in order to be healthy and ready to work on the baby. Since then I have joined a triathlon group and started with a diet. I am now about 78kgs and with a good condition (I guess) however I still want to be healthier for my baby because who doesn’t want to show nice looking pictures to your children?
It is important to mention that the baby is COMING THIS AUGUST so as you can see this is basically me and the reason why THIS PROGRAM IS JUST PERFECT FOR ME.

I’m a busy guy, married, 2 kids and my own business to run. I’ve accumulated an extra 15lbs over the last 20 years. I want to lose it quickly without any invasive surgery or restrictive diet plan or some crazy workout regimen. Well i don’t really deserve it, my wife does shes the one who has put up with big old fat moaning, depressed me for so many years. So iv been working hard for the last year with some good results but im sorta like a bull in a china shop just going through the motions. that was until i discovered your site and some amazing info. I have about 40lbs to lose & have been trying on my own. Its hard.
A big problem for me is exersise. I just can’t seem to start it.
I am postmenopausal & alot of the weight came in the past 5 yrs.
Menopause is mean!
I would like to feel good about myself and be active again…
I dont want to hide in the house as a fatty ; ;
I just need some help.

Hi Joel,

I am struggling to loose weight but my metabolism is very slow and I want to loose 35 to 40 pounds to be in my best shape. I have a struggle to keep my cholesterol level low because I inherited a high level of cholestorel from my father who died from heart problems and high cholesterol. I think your program will help me reduce my cholesterol level and loose ugly fat that I am fighting to loose.

So Joel heres my story in a nutshell. I’m 35 and in pretty good shape.(12% body fat) I’ve battled back from a serious addiction to alcohol and I believe I’ve found my calling in the fitness industry. I’m currently studying to become a personal trainer and am trying to soak up any and all information about fitness, diet, and excersice. Alcohol took everything from me and slowly but surely i’m building my way to a better life again. Ive tried many different diets, some with success some without. I am 44 years old and have been a single mother for the last 18 years. Now that both my kids are in college I want to make myself important again! I lost a true sense of who I am and what I am capable of while I was raising my kids and I need that back. I know it’s not going to be easy because nothing worthwhile ever is, but I want to challenge myself and come out victorious! I want to feel good enough about myself to start dating again and to start my life over in a new healthy body! I want my kids to be proud of me and I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror (not avoid it) and I want to be proud of me too! I’m a 46yr old married woman from the UK. Spent 30yrs yoyo dieting,And always the inevitable would happen”Gain back more pounds than i’d originally lost”.
In 2008 i went on yet another diet,which garranteed 1stone weight loss every month. I needed the loss urgently as i was due to have a serious operation,but the surgeon expresssed i needed to lose weight,for safer surgery. It worked,liquid diet for 100days ,i lost 41/2 stone. I had the surgery,all went well ,eating healthy normal food ,i put a stone back on straight away. I enjoyed being a normal slim me ,i was determind never to go back to what i was . So in 2010 i joined a bootcamp,was taught to eat clean & although i’m fitter ,a little lighter,slimmer,my problem areas legs & thighs are virtually the same. I have a lean torso,& a flat tummy,but my ass,thighs & lower legs don’t match the rest of me. My instructor sayes it could be hormone related,i am currently going through the menopause. the reason i need your system is after a battle for three months in the hospital. i was left in a wheelchair and a condition called arachnoiditis. this condition causes unmanageable pain. in the hospital i was given extremely large doses of steroids that left me 80 pounds heavier. also with the need to take large doses of pain killers in the last year. i have lost 60 of those pounds, but have since hit a wall for the last twenty. i have tried many other programs including most of the ones your friends on your emails offer. when i tried the ideas of yours i can honestly say i have needed less pain medicine. being in a wheelchair normal exercise methods, ie. running, cycling. are not available to me. so diet is extremely important. i would like the tools to be able to reduce my pain and lose this final twenty pounds. please help. thanks joel

I´m a woman who will turn 50 in about a month. My problems are, that I´m suffering from osteoarthrosis, astma, migraine, pain in almost all my joints and a beginning menopause! I know that if I could lose 40-45 pounds it would be much
easier to live with all of the above. It would be sooo nice to be able to live maybe the rest of my life a lot less painfull. That´s why I would love to win the program in hope of a better, healthier an a lot more FUN life :-)

I lost 100 lb.s with a rigorous and very expensive kickboxing program. Then I lost my job. After being unemployed for 18 months, I have put a lot of weight back on living on pasta and free bread. (unemployment lesson one: in this country, it’s crazy economical to live on really bad food!)

Good news, I start my new job on Monday.
Bad news, I sold all my huge clothes and now have nothing to wear to work.
Good news, I know how to lose it and how to keep it off (eating a properly veg- and protein- centric diet!)
Bad news, I am deeply in debt and need to get this weight off fast! (no point in or money for buying a wardrobe in a size I don’t want to be!)

I’m 37 and highly motivated! Can you help me get back on track?

I am 64 years young and have been trying to loose those unwanted pounds for about 10 years now. I watch what I eat, but have to cheat once in awhile, exercise either by walking outside for 3 miles when weather permits, doing the treadmill for one hour or a video exercise. I want to loose about 20 lbs and those rolls around the middle. Would be great to get this program for FREE.

I am 62 years old an a retired Vietnam Vet, I served this country until 2004. I was injured in the war and have been living holistically for some time because I don’t belive in madication and take it only if necessary and is the last resort. My grandmother treated all my siblings with herbs andd home remedies and I turned out just fine. I beleive very much in healthy living and researching is a better part of live to ensure that your temple is secured. I havae and and want tot continue to be a role model for those who are caught up in the hussle and bussel of thse stressful times and let them know if they just take the time and take care of thier bodies, mind and spiritual nourishment that they could do just as I have done. It feels good when I tell people my age and have to back it up with my driver’s license. In January I was weighing 260 lbs and I am down now to 227 and running like back in high school.

I believe this to be a way to reduce fat, which is what we need to do in a weight loss plan. So many ‘diets’ restrict calories. We were not meant to live like that. By eating differently on different days, it is a more concise way for the body to respond and lose the fat, not just losing weight, but losing fat. I do notice people who don’t have problems with their weight, like my husband, don’t eat all day long every day. He sometimes doesn’t get three square meals, then the next day he eats really well. I really see this program as mother nature intended us to eat. It’s not always ‘feast’, it’s ‘famine’, as well. I struggle to find a program that will suit my nature and help me with the fat loss, in a sustained way, so I can be happy, healthy, and pursue my real passions in life. I worked out for hours a week, doing cardio, interval, weight training, pilates, spin classes, yoga and still the fat persisted. This seems to be a perfect win win combining a natural weight loss program with a proper exercise workout.
I would love my husband to have a wife that is beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside. I know how much more my life could be if I didn’t have this constant ‘weight’ dragging down my spirit and my life.

I feel that this diet would be great for me because I need to lose around 60 pounds for health reasons. I have high blood pressure and cholesterol and am pre-diabetic. My doctor feels if I can lose the weight all of these medical issues would go away. This sounds like a diet that I could stick to to lose the weight.
