Hi Joel, firstly i want to be honest and say that im not overweight and dont have a lot of weight to lose, i’ll be happy if i lose about 14-20 pounds but i really want to build muscle and tone. Every year as summer approaches i go drastic and do a crash diet losing about a stone in a week. But then i end up excatly how you described in your 5 principles manual “skinny fat”. By reading that manual and your updates i feel i finally get it! I feel its time for me to lose weight the smart way so i can finally break the cycle im in. I have been watching your video updates and found particular interest in the “forest video” you created with John Romaniello. At first, I wasn’t quite sure if this program would really apply to me because I’m athletic and am in relatively good shape. Then, I heard John talk about how Xtreme Fat Loss 2.0 worked for him and I was absolutely certain that this is what I had been waiting for! I recently ended my college track career and am stuck in a fitness rut. I have been in either gymnastics or track for my entire life, and now that I am graduating…I’m lost! I’m a 43 yr. old mother of 10 (yes all mine, no twins). I lost 25 pounds (of the 40) I need to lose last fall but have been battling to lose the rest with little result. I have been following all the hype surrounding your new program and I am excited to try it. I don’t do fad diets. I lost weight by eating well (but less) and exercising. I have been diligently following great advice from healthy people like you, Isabel De Los Rios, & Rob Poulos in pursuit of my personal optimal state of health and wellbeing. I’m not sure if it’s my age, (I’m 38) but results have been moderate and rather slow. It seems as though I am only able to lose about a pound every two weeks.
I have changed my entire lifestyle because I knew that was necessary to achieve the body of my dreams. I’m disciplined and enjoy the challenge of engaging in an effective program.
I recently retired from a 20 year career as a cosmetologist and educator and have spent over half of my life making others look great. Now it’s time to focus on me so that I can serve people more meaningfully versus just helping them with the surface stuff. I just turned 44 and have been working hard to get beach ready. However, the stubborn fat is a lot more stubborn these days. Even with working a lot harder I can’t seem to shake it like I used to.
I have been following you and John R.’s philosophies for a little while with pretty good results, but I haven’t buckled down and focused on following a definitive program yet.
I would love to give this a test drive and provide you with results from someone who is already somewhat lean, but wants to go the extra mile to really make a serious impact on fat loss.

I am so ready to get ripped! I do feel lost in the woods! Metabolically speaking, my body’s left me stranded. I used to have a fantastically fit physique, but hitting my 30’s, having two kids, and maintaining a desk job has not only totally crushed my metabolism and my body, but has left me with little motivation or time to do anything about it. I need something more than Weight Watchers, but I don’t have time to spend in the gym with a personal trainer. I am a thirty-eight year old nurse. My pledge is to take care of others, to give my patients the advice and encouragement to become healthy and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I feel as though I am a hypocrit because I am overweight and unhealthy myself. How can I continue to give advice that I am not following? After many “diets” and many pounds gained and lossed, I was about to give up until I downloaded your free book. The information makes perfect sense. i am 32 years old, i have 3 children. i do not have the energy to keep up with even one of them. my health is declining fast, doctors say i need to loss about 60 lbs to bring my heart disease risk down. they’ve had me in theapy, and talking with a nutrianalist, but nothing seems to work no matter how hard i try to stay on a strick diet and excerise plan. i think your program and advice will give me just what i need to do something so i can see my children grow up and mind you my youngest is 5. i can’t even walk up the stairs without feeling like some one is sitting on my chest. i have tryed too many diet pills and nothing works, i feel good after a few days on the diet of fruits and veggies and lemon water, but i still gain weight. i seem to keep putting the pounds on one after another, this hurts cause i can’t get out there and play volleyball with my kids and or go to the beach with them. i hide behind closed doors all the time and i have friends other then my husband and kids, even my own family talks bad about me. i need help badly, and you seem to the one who can make all the difference…

Hey, i desperately need this program of yours, i’ve been reading all your blogs and they all seem to really work. I am from India and out here we really don’t have many ways except the traditional ‘go to the gym and burn it” to get rid of the extra weight. i’ve been struggling for quite some time now but nothing really seems to show me the desired results and i’m loosing hope.. I’m overweight and need help.
I just finished week 5 of FPFL! This awesome program has taken me from 133 lbs and 25.9% body fat to 129 lbs and 23.8% (hey, I still have a week to go) and that has been with very wimpy adjustments to my diet! I am ready and need the guidance to go that final final phase and get into the best shape I have been in in a LOT of years!! I want to be your poster girl for how great the programs work together. I want to be the representative for the over 40 crowd (ok, over 45, but lets go easy there)! I know myself to be a freedom eater and I can’t really justify making cheat days work for me unless I KNOW I have the other days where they need to be and I need some guidance to do that. I want to be a RULES girl for the duration of XFLD.
Finally, I have this crazy theory that if I can get my weight really dialed in and keep it there for these last few years before menopause I will have a MUCH easier time keeping a handle on it afterwards. Now I KNOW you want in on that experiment! :)

I thought i would take a second chance (different e-mail to be honest with you). Again, mid fifties, exercise my butt off without getting anywhere. One job I love is VERY weight dependent. I need to get rid of this gut. I’ll make a bargain with you; I am a skydiving instructor (tandem) weight is critical for canopy (parachute) size. You help me lose this gut, I’ll help you jump out of a plane.

I have been training for a long time but have never managed to get down a low BF to see my abs. I have tried all kinds of diets and exercises but to no avail. One of my goals is to enter a fitness model competition and with your programme this goal will be closer.
I have always struggled with my weight since I was a little kid. I was able to make huge strides and lose over 50 lbs in 6 months to get me to a little under 190 lbs. I am now 26 yrs old and will be getting married at the beginning of July. I am now around 175 and would like to use this information to get rid of the stubborn excess fat I have remaining to be ready for my wedding/ honeymoon. I really want to have that beach ready body and willing to work for it.
HI, I am a single parent 29 years old, 14 stone and maybe a little more, having tried most other “revolutionary diets” over the last few years,iv struggled with my weight. I did loose weight, I lost 4 stone ( from 15 and stone 7 ) staying consistent to the very low carb diet i used and then suffered from a bad bout of depression due to problems I was going through in my personal life.
This resulted in me stopping my training and putting 2 stone back on. At the moment I am finding it hard to get back in shape. I find it hard to get back into my running as I am heavy again. I still feel awkward sometime socialising and going out in public, I do manage to go to the gym, but outdoors where other people are not having the same problem it feels uncomfortable. So often my young children don’t get to go out and about as much as I would like.
I am back at work and on the road to recovery but as I work nightshift at the weekends every week I struggle to commit to the diet I once used ( matabolic- ketogenic style diet ).
with the new motivation from following what looks like the ideal diet for me, combined with your additional items and training techniques ( consistency being the main key ), I am sure this could be the kick in the proverbial backside I need.
this will help me get my confidence back fully and change my life for the better, for both me and my children, who have had to endure perhaps the worse of my afore mentioned depression.
I would like to try get back to my own self and due to my life style restrictions with regards to work I feel that the cheat days would be right up my street as I could work them accommodating my first night at work in the call centre (which is the one that gets me as I don’t sleep the first day).
Hi I am a 31 yr old mother of 4 kids since my last pregnancy I have tried effortlessly to lose the weight. Not only for appearance reasons but my mental and physical health. I am depressed just looking in the mirror..and have a blood clotting disease that requires me to keep my weight down.I have tried everything, south beach diet, atkins diet and just finished insanity workout w no weight loss or muscle gain.
