I quit smoking 3 years ago and gained about 25 lbs, and was already about 10 lbs over weight when I quit. I am petite 5″ 3 and it shows those 35 extra lbs show. I have already lost 15 lbs by changing my habits. It took me 8 months to lose the 15lbs, my motto is slow and steady will get me there, but now I have hit a major plateau and the scale isn’t budging…. I know that I need to lose the weight for health reasons, I have high cholesterol, but the main reason why this is important to me is because of my relationship with my mother, around New Years we had a huge fight and she called me “enormous”. We stopped talking after that, and are slowly repairing a strained relationship. I don’t think I would have minded being over weight I had Eric. Like I said I don’t want sympathy but ice been in the gym for two hours a day and trying low carb and not mixing day and carbs.

I am 41 years in the US Army, currently serving in Iraq. I have the responsibility to monitor the activities of over 1200 Soldiers on a daily basis. This means I spend a lot of time and energy working in a building and not as much as I would like to be out with the troops on the ground. I am currently weighing in at 210 pounds and need to lose about 30 pounds in the next 6 months. Turning 50 next month, in pretty good shape (exercise six times per week on average), but have never been able to lose the last bit of fat around the middle. I don’t care what I weigh, I just want to feel healthy and strong, and good about how I look. As long as I have that abdominal fat and love handles, it’s a no go! Can you help?
Hi-i’m getting desperate! I gave birth to my daughter a little over a year ago. It took me 10 months to get into my clothes but I was finally at a point where I was somewhat comfortable going out with my family. However, while I was pregnant, my brain tumor grew back and right around my daughter’s 1st birthday, I had to have brain surgery AGAIN. So needless to say, not only do I not remember her 1st birthday, but I could not exercise during my recovery. I quickly gained back 40 lbs as exercise is imperative to me maintaining my weight. Now, I’m so busy with a crazy toddler that I need help in losing this extra weight. I don’t have a ton of time to exercise but am doing my best. Please help me!

I’ve learned quite a bit these last few months. I am nearing completion of a four month program that has taken me from twenty five percent body fat, down to fifteen percent body fat. I’ve got one month left until this is over, and I was getting a little worried about my next step.
Until I got your emails, I have been super strict about nutrition. It’s worked great, but then I got to thinking about what I’d do after this program, and all the choices I’d be up against. It made perfect sense! I can eat all the stuff I was missing (in moderation) and keep losing fat! I read everything you sent out, and I had to try it!
Good news is that I continued to drop bodyfat, just as you said. I also felt really good about taking a risk. Something I had not done in awhile. I really hope that my newfound knowledge can take me to my goal of ten percent body fat! I, like many others, have a very busy lifestyle and I need a program/system that works into my lifestyle. Mondy -Friday I’m up by 5:30 am, get my son up and ready for school, I’m at work by 7:15 and generally home by 5:30 PM, majority of the time later, than earlier. I also have a small farm so when I get home I have to take care of my animals. So I need a system that is quick and effective, something that allows me time to spend with my family after everything else is taken care.
I am 43 yrs old and the belly fat is obviously getting harder and harder to lose I think this system will work for me.

I am relatively thin already, but I am not lean. I still have a layer of fat hiding my muscles underneath. I have spent the last couple of years trying to get that muscularly impressive body, trying to whittling away my fat, but with little success. Part of it is that all the programs I have tired take so long and being thin already, I don’t really see any results. I keep with them for a little while, but before I know it something offsets my plan and I have trouble getting back to it. Your program sounds great! Something that will actually help me see some of the results I have been looking for within a time frame I can survive.
I also really liked what was talked about on the phone conversation regarding the need for structure and not freedom. I am relatively new to this whole fitness stuff and need a structure to follow. I am person who needs to have a plan. When I am given a structure to follow then I know how to plan it into my day. I don’t know how to plan freedom, it leaves to much room for me to just follow my feelings.

Since January 11, 2011 I have lost 30 pounds doing WW. I was recently at a Great Wolf Lodge with my family and noticed a woman who was very sculpted and about my age (43). I use to think “I wish I could look like that”. I started Turbulence training last week and I have been reading your reports via -e-mail. I want to ramp it up. My goal is to lose more weight ( I am currently 5’6 and 200). I have hit a plateua in my weight loss and have learned that giving up certain things like the occasional piece of pizza may be doing more harm than good. I now have the attitude that “I WILL look like that woman I saw”. I will teach my 4 children by being an example. I know this progran would help me achieve my goals, and at a faster rate than the first 30 pounds have taken me.
A heart attack three years ago woke me up to my terrible eating habits. And at age 68, that was some track record. I was 218 pounds and didn’t have the will power to get lighter. When I got home from the hospital after receiving a stent, I was six pounds lighter and tried to keep it going. Habits are so ingrained. September 2010 was finally my time to turn it around. I was frantic to lose weight and get off the heart medications my cardiologist has me taking. The doctor reduced the meds at my last appointment and I’m down to 173, but have been stuck there for two months. My goal is 145 (or 135, depending on how I look and feel). I’m unable to stick to the restrictive diet the doctor has me on to lose the rest of the weight, so I cheat – and that defeats the purpose. I need to know how to cheat effectively so I can lose more weight to be healthy and medication-free. Exercise plays an important role in health, and I need to know how to get back to it without injuring an ageing, out-of-shape body. I need help beyond what I have found so far. I have bought two of your other programs (plus a few more from your friends in fitness), but am still hungry for more knowledge that will help me achieve my best body ever and finally be the “Hot Mama” I know I can be. I am 40 years old, and through all I’ve learned thus far, I have managed to lose 83 lbs after the birth of my 2nd child. However, I have been stuck with 17 lbs to go for the longest time, even putting a few back on despite good eating and a lot of working out. I am turning 63 in 4 days. I wrestled in HS and one year in college. I weigh 327 lbs and have fluctuated from 330 to 250 lbs since I had both hips replaced 5 years ago. I had terrible arthritis from running and playing basketball until I was 45. Hi Joel, I need this program because I am 51 years old and have gained and lost the same 15-20 pounds for the last 20 years. I am only 5″1″ tall so gaining even a couple pounds is noticeable. I know because of my age that things are not going to get any better. I need to have a program that will work for me that is easy to follow and quick. I am a runner and go spinning religiously each week but neither of those seem to help. I have been running for 13 years and my thighs are exactly the same size they were when I started. What am I doing wrong? I need to know. I tried other weight training plans and again I did not lose any inches or weight. All I heard when I started these plans were “you are going to lose a lot of inches because weight lifting is so good for that”. Again disappointment. I am at my wits end and need something now. I have also tried every diet out there Nutri System (lost weight but gained it back), Weight Watchers, Flat Belly Diet, etc. I do not know what will make my metabolism work the way it should. I will be 69 years of age this year. I am reasonably slim in some areas, and have lost weight in areas I didn’t need to. BUT, I am putting it on at an alarming rate on my abdomen. Hi i just wanted to make a point why this program is for me. You see all my life i have been kind of on the fatty side i really didnt have a problem but then it got worse i gained weight like crazy and i don’t know what to do about it. After two pregnancies, I was 80 pounds overweight. I would love to play with my kids, but, because of my extra weight, I can barely carry them up the stairs to tuck them into bed. I have usually been able to manage my weight but have never been ripped slim. Last year I injured my foot while exercising and that has limited my ability to do cardio, hikes and mountainbiking ever since. It is getting better but still suffer pain. With that I have gained around 10 lbs and extra 8% in body fat. Right now I dont know how to tackle this and what to do to lose the body fat.
From what I have read I believe your program could be the solution, specially the dietary guidlines and the lactic excercise program.
