Frankly, I just need somebody to kick me in the a** and tell me exactly what I need to do! I am turning 48 this year, 3 young kids, working mom. My time is dedicated to my family, but now it’s time to dedicate some to me. Over the past few years, I’ve noticed that I look fatter, less muscle, more “jiggly”. Damn, when did my body start looking old! Well, now I am motivated to try to look leaner, like I did before kids. Two years ago I weighed in at 205 pounds and 25.6% bodyfat. My doctor actually called me “fat”. I jokingly asked him if this was a medical term. After doing other fitness plans, P90X and Insanity, I got down to 160 pounds and 11.9% bodyfat. I just can’t seem to lose the “fat” part of my body. I am “skinny fat”. I have been trying hybrid versions of these workouts, combined with cross fit workouts, to try and break past this plateau, but I am still stuck being skinny fat. I would rather be skinny and 6% bodyfat, than skinny and 12%. From your email updates, I can tell that you are on to something no one else has talked about, and I believe that it could work for me. Talk about a SIGN! My son just talked to me , very sadly, about his weight just yesterday. He is almost 14 and just weighed himself last night and is almost 200lbs. He is about 5ft 11. He is already developing problems with his wrists, back and knees, due to his weight. He is very self conscious and kids at school tease him :( He REALLY wants to make some changes but says that nothing works. (Typically teenager!) The crazy thing is that he is active playing sports and even eating fairly healthy. We believe its his portion sizes and the times that he eats that are affecting his weight. I am an ex Marine, just turned 57, and recently changed my lifestyle to the point of losing 75 pounds, and putting on about 10 pounds of muscle. But, no matter how I try, and I put in some WORK, both at the gym and in the yard, I just can’t seem to lose that last 5 pounds around the middle. I have done a pretty good job of getting back into shape and building some muscle, but I want to lose the spare tire too, and finally, for once in my life, have a decent six pack that I can be proud of. People have been amazed at teh change in my body the last 4 months, but I really want to BLOW their minds and get totally ripped. I have arthritis and creaky joints, but I know I can get into the best shape of my life, if I work hard enough.

I am a full-time college student and work almost full-time. I had manged to avoid the dreaded “freshman 15” through my 3 years of college and then… I met and married my husband! I have always struggled with my weight from the age of about 12. I have tried so many diets only to regain the weight. When I do loose the weight it goes from my thighs, hips and butt which is great don’t get me wrong but my stomach and my arms are harder to loose fat from. I’m 43 and know as we get older it gets harder to loose but it gets discouraging after months of hard work. i had c- sections with both my daughters and have that fold as they say. I’m 5’7” and weigh 210lbs. A weight of 150 looks good on my bone structure and I would be over the moon to get back to that. I’m getting married on August 29th of this year and I know it will take longer to get to my ideal weight but if I could loose 40lbs in the 3 months I’d be happy, a start towards my goal. I need to regain my energy level I use to have to keep up to my girls. I don’t have alot of money to spare and winning a free copy of your program would surely help me out. Your knowledge and studies would help my family as a whole get healthy and slim. My eldest daughter Ashley is about 20lbs over weight and my youngest about 10. My husband to be has a high metabolism and can at what ever, never work out although his job is quite physical and always looks good. I wish you could give each and everyone of us a copy, and there would be no problems anymore, but I guess you are giving it to a well deserving person. I think it is me. I had undergone multiple operations on my abdomen since 1994, last one was 2009, for intestinal obstruction. And I lost a tremendous amount of weight while in the hospital, not able to eat for 15 days straight. I recovered slowly, and still noticing gassy pain, but I did note that my abdominal symptoms are better if I don’t have any visceral fat. I am doing the body weight burn by Adam and Ryan, but if I added your book into it, I might be able to shed off the visceral fat, feel better and live longer. You have a good day, and God Bless you.

I so much enjoy your strategies in losing weight and FAT! I am a little over middle age woman and in the throws of menopause at this time. When I was younger, I never had a weight problem, in fact, I tried to gain weight! Eventually I was successful. Too successful, that is. When I started to gain too much weight, I really did not know what to do, having never dieted before. After the birth of my daughter, I really packed the weight on. She is 20 years old now. My father passed away at age 85 and my mother is 92 and still living. I handle a lot of her care-taking. I realize that longevity is on my side and I prefer living my life at a healthy weight. I do not want to be obese. I fear that I may be obese at this time but am probably in denial. At my age I know that obesity contributes to many health problems as we age and I do not want to be one of those statistics. I have had many stressors in my life and feel that they have contributed greatly to my weight problem – I will not go into all that now… Suffice it to say that I would LOVE to find a program that WORKS so I can feel good about myself and my health. That would be one less thing to worry about. I love the stategy of your program and would love to adopt that lifestyle for my life and FREE would be even better!
Hi Joel, I have been receiving your emails for about a year or so now. I enjoy reading and learning from you. You give good advice and great excercises to try. I have tried alot of the excercises and keep all you emails, so I can look back and pass them to other friends that are struggling. I have been a roller coaster exceriser, I can really get motivated for about 3 months and then fall off. I keep telling myself not to give up, so I go again. I am slightly overwieght,which makes me look, just lumpy. I dont enjoy going to the gym, but have built a small gym at home, going off advice I believe that this program you are offering is the one to keep me motivated. I NEED your program and I will USE it! I was overweight for 20+ years, on anti-depressants to dull the fact that I hated how I looked and felt about myself and I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have lost 106 pounds over the past 15 months and have been been plateaued for almost 2 months, despite rigorous workouts 6 days a week and, or I’m learning now, maybe because of, strictly eating my “allowed” calories each day. I journal everything I eat and follow my plan, not skipping workouts, wanting to be a better, healthier, happier me!
I still need to lose another 28 pounds to get to the top of my acceptable weight range but your plan makes me think I don’t have to settle for that! Despite the number of pounds I’ve lost, I still have a lot of fat covering the muscle I’ve built. I have a lap-band and my weight loss has stalled, despite extensive exercise. This looks like a great way to jump start renewed weight loss.
I am 26 years old, 215 lbs, measure out to 12% body fat. I am currently in the military and I am in the process of training to join one of the most elite anti-terrorism groups that the U.S. has. I constantly read your articles and try to use every piece of advice you give, but it seems as little bits and pieces here and there do not work for me. If given the chance to have a copy of your program, would be able follow it religiously and see my results, along with implementing it into my units current training regiment. How would you like to see a trend of elite military groups using your program as a platform to change the way we train? I would love to see that change and see all personnel become lean and fit without the tormenting that our bodie go through with our old fashioned training. Joel, thank you – I appreciate the opportunity you are giving to everyone. I will be honest and say that I do not have a ton of weight to lose. I have 20 lbs I need to lose and I am one of those people that carries it in the worst possible area – abdominal. I used to stay rather healthy and like most people I let my health and figure slip considerably. Then in 2006 I was diagnosed with an illness that definitely got my attention. I realized life is too short and I set out to beat my illness, but I have never been able despite all my efforts to feel good about my physique and myself again. I have tried more programs than I care to admit. My ever supportive husband has watched me purchase programs that have not helped me reach my goals. For the past year i have been dealing with some difficult health issues and to treat this I have had to be on a pretty high dose of steriod. I’m starting to believe that I need either an extreme fat loss workout and/or and extreme fat loss diet program. Not sure if my problem is diet or hormone related. One thing for sure. I can drop the pounds without pulling my hair out. But it has been my experience to end up a smaller version of what I was. I’m not craving to be ten sizes smaller. Being smaller than a size 15/16 doesn’t do me much justice in the looks department. Being a size 15/16 may be humongous for some females. Not for me since I look about 50 lbs. smaller than my actual weight. My desire is to carry a decent amount of body weight without the extra 10-15 lbs. of body fat that clings to my mid-section.
I am confident that by using your system I will finally be able to get rid of the extra fat following the birth of my girls. I really like the idea of the 15 minute intense workouts because with 3 girls under the age of 5 I don’t have time for much else. If your program can show me how to lose the fat quickly without spending hours a day at the gym then it is definitely the program for me!
