i have been educating myself about good nutrition and exercising for almost two years now. internet is full of information, one just have to have a will to educate himself/herself and a will to change one’s lifestyle. no book, no program, no diet will do that for the person unless that person really wants to do it.
i am almost 40 years old female, i live in the subarctic region and i work outside in the wilderness doing hard physical work that many people wouldn’t be able to do. however, i am realizing i will not be able to do this for much longer as it is very physically demanding work. this fall, i am doing my personal trainer course so i can start another career that i will love. fitness is a fantastic way of living and i will continue educating myself so i can help others.

All my life I was pretty fit. I’ll spare you the sob story of the past few years, but after deaths in the family, losing my dream job, and the resulting depression, let me just say I packed on the pounds and no longer recognized the woman in the mirror.

But lately I’ve been coming out of that fog, and have dedicated myself to weightloss and fitness. I blog every day about what I’m doing (link is in my information), and it’s exciting to see people read my progress and comment that they are now motivated too! It keeps me going! I’m starting Flavia’s Fullbodylicious in a little over a week, and I’m sure there’s a lot of synergy between her program and yours. I told my best friend (one of those naturally skinny guys who had a body like Ryan Reynolds, and he’s working toward that again) that I want to get in shape…even get a physique like Flavia’s. And he’s telling me to GO FOR IT! Yes!

In the past 5 weeks I’ve lost 10 pounds based on a diet and exercise plan I’ve mostly pieced together from sites like yours. I have been training very hard4-6x/week= 2-3xweight resistance, and either swim, interval training on my cycle trainer or do hard sprint intervals
indoor and on the tred. I am happy with my progress as i have lost 50 lbs of fat and gained about 12-15 lbs of muscle. I am a avid follower of you, Vince D,

I have tried a lot of other products that claim they will help you lose weight without doing or changing anything. Everything has failed and I am frustrated beyond belief. I see myself slowly gaining more weight and there is no support from the home front other than to say, ” Dad your getting fat or you have a big belly.” It hurts me to know that I can’t keep up with my kids and have more and more medical problems that I know will subside when I can lose the weight. The biggest part is that I need the support of a program and creator that will help me in my efforts to lose the weioght and learn to keep it off. I work midnights and it is very hard for me to stay away from the “wonderful” fried food lunches that my employer provides. Please help.

Unlike most of the responses, I am writing for my husband instead of myself. My husband is out of shape. I have been struggling with my weight for the last few years and getting the physique that I truly desire and know I am capable of having. Most of my weight issues I attribute to getting older, hormones, and stress, ( job, husband being deployed to Iraq three times in 5 years, and having two teenage daughters). I have tried the HCG and other diets and manage to get the weight off for a while. However, these programs do not help with the muscle building. I am going to be 55 in a few months and all I can think about is making this final transformation…. loosing 125 pounds of stuff I don’t need to be carrying around! I am a 42 year old male with the goal of getting in the best shape of my life. I started out at 246 pounds 7 months ago and am now down to 185. I’m 43 years old and in the last 2 years I gained 10 lbs. I know that doesn’t sound much, but I’m 5′ 1 & 1/2 and even small amount of wt gain makes me look different. I really need to lose a total of 20lbs however to get to the wt that I desire. I was always slightly overweight all my life. I guess that’s how I was build (or its what my family tells me and that I should except the way I am). I have tried many diets in the past. more than I can count, and I always tell my family that I need to lose 20lbs or I’m going to lose 20lbs in the next 6 weeks, or the next month, or what ever… they are all sick of it and unfortunately I haven’t been able to do it, which is why they never believe me and just tell me that I should accept my body the way it is… From all the diets and exercise programs I’ve tried in the past, your program seems different. I am 50 years old in the midst of the middle age/menopause thing and mysteriously gained 20 extra pounds on top of the 30 I already needed to lose. I say “mysteriously” because I work out regularly and eat fairly well — yet those 20 extra pounds just jumped right on my body. I own (and have read and tried) every program out there, but they just don’t give the extreme results I need in order to stay motivated!!!

Thanks for all the free tips. I save all of your e-mails. I deliberately put on weight for plasma donations. The more you weigh, the more they pay. I don’t need to donate any more, (I did this 2 times per week for about 2 years. It’s very draining.) but I can’t seem to get rid of this extra 50 pounds now. Your program would be the ticket. Since gaining this weight, I’ve become so self conscience that I avoid dealing with people. I’d like to meet a man, but that’s not possible when I am this over weight. I work from home so I don’t go out much just because of this weight gain. Winning your program would truly be a life changing difference for me. I have been using the cheat day strategy for the past few months with some success but until you educated me recently, I had no idea that this trick was much more than a psychological benefit. But enough about me, let’s talk about my wife. My moderate success in dropping lbs, along with her desire to look good for my upcoming class reunion (in case an old girl friend shows up) has motivated her to get thin.

She has a couple of friends that have been using a popular system (it’s name has a couple of W’s) that have told her that the program is a lot easier to follow now. She decided to sign up and give it a try but she is struggling with it. Though she’s determined to not give up, it’s just a big hassle for the results she’s getting. On top of that, she’s had to “suffer” through my cheat days (though I’ve tried to be considerate and not eat in front of her).

If I could convince her to channel her efforts into a legitimate, metabolically safe program (yeah, like this one) that can give her dramatic results in less than a month, that could be a life-changing decision. At the very least, I would be her mega hero!

I am a 39 year old mother of two. I have been struggling with my weight my whole life, but the last 11 years have been the most difficult and depressing. After the birth of my daughter, gaining over 50 pounds during my pregnancy, I began to completely ruin my metabolism with a series of “killer” diets. I would lose some weight but gain back more. Add to that kicking a 23 year smoking habit and you can see that my “internal furnace” was barely smoldering. I joined a popular weight loss program and have lost 57 pounds in the last two years. I am at a point where I am stuck. I work out everyday, but the fat that I have left will not budge. stats: 35yrs old, 5’9″ 208lbs 11% on digiscale, been doing below maintenance diet for some time now and have put on some muscle and strength but the fat isn’t coming off, which is mostly around the mid section. Prior lower body injury prevents me from doing endless hours of cardio. Other then the occasional elliptical hiit training if time allows, all my training is done in the weight room at work. Looking for something that can help me move past this huge plateau that has plagued me for so long. Oh yeah I also have a friendly physique showdown in a few weeks at work. I will document progress in any fashion needed.

Hi Joel. I could write a sob story about how I’m an out of shape over-fat former athlete who needs to get back in shape. Or how I really need to lose the weight so I can be a healthy and fit dad to be around longer for my kids and able to be more active with them later in life.

But while both of those are true, the HONEST truth is I want (need) your program for reasons of pure VANITY. In 6 weeks I’m taking our family to a nice beach vacation and am currently embarrassed of my condition (and man boobs) and REALLY don’t want to worry about taking pictures with my kids with my shirt off.

So I have 6 weeks to transform myself and have estimated about 20 pounds would get me to a very nice and lean look and tighten up my chest and love handles (bye bye man boobs). I was looking for something that is short-term, extreme, and designed to prevent muscle loss while maximizing fat loss. Your program looks ideal!! I’d love to try it out.

I have spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars in diet & exercise plans and havent gotten anywhere. Me: 6’1, 260 ish, (athletic) male, 42
your program sounds perfect for me because of the following reasons:
1) My metabolism seems to be so slow, as evidenced by the fact that i ate the SAME things my gf ate the same things I did and she LOST weight and I gained. wtf?
2) Low carb diets leave me with NO energy for HIIT workouts and free weight training too. Not to mention the Atkins diet, where I lost weight, but a lot of muscle with it!
3) The last time I was under 220, I did it by playing hoops, training, and HIIT when I was laid off and HAD time to do all of this. My gf is smokin’ hot and she is beach ready and I, quite frankly, would probably have GreenPeace mistake me for a beached whale and roll me back to sea.
4) I would love to try it!!

Good day Joel, I ended up tearing my meniscus in early March. I was in my 3rd week of the P90X program and the results were starting to show. I haven’t been able to do a cardio session since and I’ve put on about 10 pounds. I can lift weights, but I want to loose weight, and I know that this system is what I need to help my get back on track, once I’ve recovered from knee surgery. I’m 5’6 and 210 lbs, and my goal is to get to between 160lbs-175lbs. Thanks Joel
