Hello! My name is Anna, and I am a 47 year old woman currently being dragged kicking and screaming towards menopause! I have a wonderful husband and 4 active teenagers. The weight loss roller coaster and completely killing your metabolism defines my life. I’m 100 lbs. overweight even though I’m constantly DIETING. I can stick to my diet faithfully for a month, go off for a few days and gain all the weight back, usually more, and sometimes double. I eat the same thing as my sister – she loses weight, I gain.

I’m going to make this pretty straight forward. I’ve been overweight my whole 38 years of life and have tried numerous “diets” with limited success. I can lose 20 lbs. but then seem to plateau and give up. I am currently following the Diet Solution, eating whole, natural foods and doing good so far (only 5 days in though). The missing component is an exersise program. I have always “needed” to go to the gym just to maintain my weight, but have never really lost any extra weight. I am SICK of spending so much time on the treadmill and elliptical! I want a program that is going to tell me which exercises to do and when to do it. I want to prove to myself that I don’t need to buy an expensive gym membership and can do what I need to do right at home, like you say. I want to prove to my husband that eating naturally and exercising is the correct way to live. He is not the greatest support so I need all the help I can get. I am the queen of fitness systems, dvd’s etc…. I have tried almost every one of them but I cant stick with it. I will do it and then something happens in my life where I stop. I want to make real changes so that I can be healthy and look great for the rest of my life and I also want to be a role model for my overweight stepdaughter. I am a 38 year old new mother to a 1 year old and I have two stepdaughters. I am 5’8″ and weigh 142 pounds. I am what you call a skinny fat person. I am skinny in certain parts and I carry fat around my midsection thighs and butt. I am looking for exactly what the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet 2.0 system has to offer. I love to workout so that comes easier for me but I have issues with the eating part and I believe that with your system I can conquer this problem. I just turned 60 and am working full-time at a job that keeps me sitting all day. My husband and I have been caring for my grandson for 11 years. He has autism and has always needed lots of help with homework etc. He will be leaving us once his mom gets married. Over the years I’ve noticed the pounds slipping on. Once my grandson goes to live with his mom, I’m hoping to concentrate some of my new found time to doing something good for myself. I like what I have seen of your program and tips but need some definate guidance to get started. I know that exercise will play role, which has not been a part of my life. I am in pretty good health otherwise (no heart, diabetes, or high blood pressure). If I do not start to look out for me, no one else will. Since both my parents had heart problems and diabetes, I know it could happen to me. I guess I am lucky to have avoided those issues up until now. Will you help me to gain control so that I can continue to be the best I can be for me, for my husband, children and grandchildren.

My wife and I are in our early 40’s and are working extremely hard at losing weight via calorie counting and regular workouts at the gym. While we have experienced better muscle gain and definition, we can’t seem to lower our body fat %. Makes no sense knowing the work we are putting in . . . perhaps you can help! We’ve been at this for over 2 years and have seen no real marked improvement. We’re not content with just accepting that “this is just what happens after 40.” We are missionaries with 4 kids (8 to 14) and our life is on the go constantly. We want to have a long and fruitful life and ministry and know that this will only happen when we get to a place where we are as healthy as possible. Unfortunately, in the life of ministry there aren’t many people who have figured it out either-and we hope to be the exception and not the rule. Hi I have been dieting for years. I am sitting stuck at 18% bf. I am so skeptical on buy another internet product that promises such awesome results…. I am really tired of restricting myself and workout 5+ days a week….. If I happen to win a copy I would give it an honest go at it….but to spend money for more promises. I am not sure about that. I’m turning 40 this Summer…. My younger days were filled with athletics – basketball, beach volleyball, tennis, running, and weight training. After getting married, starting a business, and having three children, I have spent the last decade slowly putting on the pounds and losing any sign of a muscular physique. I’ve started getting back into a daily routine mixing cardio and strength training. But, I must say, I’m rather impatient. Kick starting my metabolism, losing the tire, and building my muscles back to where I want them to be can’t happen fast enough. To put it simply, I want to finally look in the mirror and feel good about what I see. I’m 31 and since my early 20’s, I’ve tried a bunch of different diets and workout regiments. Joel, I have tried alot of diets and have lost weight before. Since last year when I lost my mother I put on 24 pounds and I cannot get it off. After all, losing weight could never be bad for those people who care about us; on the contrary it would not only be good for us but for them as well! I’ll be honest, I have at least read your spoof on “5 Sneaky Tricks to Triple Fat Loss” and found it not only informative but, entertaining. Your writing style is conversational and not clinical, in other words, NOT BORING! I think your approach has universal appeal for any reader, I mean, you can probably entice even the most avid Non-reader to completely read all 27 pages! You also talk to yourself, and cite resources for verification. My point is, you know exactly how to motivate and inspire a person to want to get fit in a non-cheesey way but, in a coooool way.
I am 53 and on the rebound for both health and a career. I’ve worked for nearly 30 years straight before I got layed off from my dream job, teaching. I was an instructor for low voltage systems, and my style was to make learning informative but, fun and interesting. I was out of work all of 2008 but, one week. 2009 was a little sporadic but, I managed to work 3 months in the beginning of the year, then, 10 months straight from August to June 2010. At that time I decided to go back to school, and have been in graduate school for almost a year, online. It’s been great. The past 3 months I’ve been exercising regularly, and have lost 10 lbs. I just need that extra edge to take me over the top. I believe your Xtreme fat loss 2.0 system will do just that!

I just turned 60, thats right 60 and I have been struggling with my weight for the last 15 years. Before hitting 45 I always had control with cutting back and upping my exercize program. Now I have added 20lbs and struggle to lose 5-8lbs which I gain back with just a good bar-b-que with the family.

As a realtor I spent a lot time driving and sitting behind a desk. Without a regiment to follow, it is very difficult to keep focused.

As a realtor, financies have been sporatic and budgeting is a challenge. But most importantly, I want to be around for my grandchildren, to see them grow up and play their children someday.

I need this because i am totally ready to change my life. I am 56 and have been struggling with weight for about 25 years. Enough is enough already. So now is the time and i know this program will help me reach my potential and get on with the FUN things in life.

I am actually making this request on behalf of my wife. She was very active when she was younger and approx 5′ 5” 130lbs. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Diabetes when she was in her early 20’s. She has been on more different medications than I can count over the years as her body has a hard time using the insulin she has to take (4-5 shots a day). The vicious cycle has taken its toll and her weight went as high as 300lbs. A couple of years ago the light switch went on for her and she decided to do something about it. She goes to the gym 3-4 times a week now doing things like Zuma and TRX and she watches what she eats. She has managed to get to 220lbs but has not been able to break that barrier now for the past +1yr. To compound the problem, the majority of Diabetic Nurses, Dieticians, etc still recommend the “Canadian Food Guide” which is high in Carbs. I think she needs a new approach and the type of help that I believe you can offer.
This would be life saver for her…..

Hey Joel, Im a 44 years old and been dreaming of getting back the body I had when I was younger. After having my second child, I just cant seem to lose the fat. I’ve tried every diet there is but know that diets dont work. I worked out for 2 years and watched what I ate but still only lost maybe 10 lbs and think I gained that all back. I actually want to be in better shape than younger years even. I want people to say “Wow” when they see me and then I can tell them it’s all thanks to Joel Marion! My daughter and I have been reading your posts to find tricks that will help in our fitness struggle. We have different problems. I am a small older person with too high of body fat percentage (33%). She is younger with a larger frame and is overweight. Her daughter is 6 and already showing signs of being overweight. I have been trying to get her off a yo-yo dieting (Atkins) loop she has been on since she was a teenager. You have a sensible, health and research based approach to getting and staying fit that I think will help us rid ourselves of unwanted fat stores.

I am 45 years old, am 6 ft, and at the beginning of all this I weighed 252 lbs! My son who is 15 is in great shape. He has been working out for the past couple of years and is really starting to develop muscle and form. I was having a conversation with him about how I would like to get my 6 pack abs back. My son said “sorry Dad, those days are long gone!” I decided in February to drop these extra pounds and bought Mike Geary’s workout plan. Have been following it faithfully since February and have seen great results. I have lost 40 lbs. But I am almost at a standstill. Have been dropping a pound a week, sometimes less.
