I am 57 years old and obese. I have numerous health problems including a heart condition, Diabetes, COPD, high blood pressure and high chloresterol. I also have extreme pain in my lower back and legs to the point that I can barely walk. I had pneumonia 4 times last winter and had to constantly be on steroids which is where most of this weight came from. The doctor wants me to lose weight but we both realize that will be a problem since I can’t really walk or move too well due to my leg pain. I find it a bit too good to be true that any one could do your program, and therefore would be reluctant to spend money on it. Could a fifty year old with lower back problems, knee and shoulder pain, a belly that causes people to think that she is pregnant, little stamina, but lots of will power and an openmindedness to be converted, benefit from this program, or is it a pipe dream for me?

My husband and I have been struggling to get back in shape for the longest time. We have two young children who keep me busy from early to late and it is not possible to make it to the gym with me. Before we had children, we used to love working out together at the gym and we even did a Body For Life challenge in 2002. We had very good results from that, but now I’m not able to devote that much time to driving to gym, working out, and driving back, not to mention I don’t have someone to watch my children when I work out. My husband, Rich, shared the videos you posted and we like the idea of doing more intense workouts together in our garage thereby maximizing time. We really need to lose about 30 lbs. I am 56 yrs. old and watch what I eat and also my portions as well. I exercise at least 3 days a week. I have a NordicTrack Skier that I have used since 1985. I also have a cable weight system. I would like a copy of this program, because I have always been a stout person, but never been really ripped. I have never been “skinny fat” but have never been one that people take notice of. Always in the middle is kind of the way I’ve gone through life, even when I played college football. I feel like this program is different and could finally put me over the edge of being mediocre. Motivation has never been a factor, growing up on a farm has taught me how to work hard and I continue to work out and live my life that way. This program makes me feel like my efforts would be applied in the proper manner and I would actually see results and be able to keep those results. Hello Joel and Arnel! My name is Alexander, I’m 22 years old and live in Norway.
Since I was a little kid I’ve been overweight, that’s all my life from what I can remember. I “hit the top” during my last few years of high school. The scale tipped 280 lbs, and that’s when I stopped using it.
A little more then four years ago, I decided to change. It’s probably the most important decision I’ve made in my life so far. I don’t really know from where the idea came, but I did it. Like if someone flicked a switch in my head.
Within the first two years I lost somewhere around 80 lbs. Then it slowed down. I started going to the gym. Unfortunately, I lacked both knowledge and motivation. This resulted in me going in and out of the gym for periods, which again led to slow and painful progression.
Before the summer holidays this year, someone turned that switch in my head to the third notch. For the last three months I’ve been going to the gym six days every week. For the last two months, I’ve been following a meal plan.
Today, I am 168 lbs, and I’m closer then ever to having the body in my dreams. But it’s hidden under a layer of fat that I don’t seem to be able to get rid of. I am stuck.
This is why I think your 1,000 Calorie Challenge System would be perfect for me. I have the motivation, I have extreme willpower and I believe in what you’re doing.

Getting a program that I can actually perform at the start sounds great. I’ve sent for and received some other extreme workout programs but I have no hope of performing the exercises that they start out with. If your program actually provides exercises that I can do to get to the full out program in 4 weeks as you say then I’m interested.

I’m 30 years old and live in England. I work as a Firefighter and I’m currently recovering from shoulder surgery. I had my surgery 5 months ago and have just been declared fit to return to operational duties. During the past 5 months I have really missed training and have a new found appreciation for my fitness. hi, I’m from Argentina, my english is not so good, so i’ll do an effort to make understandable my situtation. I tried a lot things to lose fat, but i couldn,t… I read your program and i think this is what i need, but i dont have a credit card and it’s difficult for me to get one cause i dont have a job, the only thing i do is study. I did arnel’s 16 week exercises, it did me great but i couldn’t lose enough fat, and now im fat again :(

I have been working with kettlebells and have lost 23 pounds since April, but still have a lot more to lose. I just went to a bod pod and was disappointingly still in the obese category. I’m on the right track, but I gotta keep burning!!
I am tring to avoid gastric bypass surgery. Nothing else has worked. Several health problems are already popping up, not to mention total fatigue. I realize this obesty is killing me.

It’s so refreshing to hear and see something different. I guess my story is like others who say they work out and don’t see much of a difference. I work out daily 50 minutes , or so. I would really love to try your program. I am a nurse and get questions all the time about the best way to work out. Maybe I could actually be proof this time of something that works!!

I have been overweight since I had my children and nothing seems to work, until I started reading your program. LITTLE steps have been taken for me but I would like to move a little more quickly. Having heart failure in 2007 and putting on over 20kg due to the tablets I am on, has not done much for my self esteem. I want to be around for many more years to see my children enjoy life and enjoy theirs as well. The extra weight is also not helping my diabetes, blood pressure, depression and weight loss overall. I have been overweight my entire life. at the age of 21, i currenty weigh 235,(height-5’8″). In high school I weighed 220lbs(my freshman year). The heaviest i have ever been was 295lbs(senior year). ive worked hard for quite some time, and i just cant seem to shed these last few pounds.
