My weight is like the ebb and flow of the tide, so unpredictable and inconsistent.
At each decade of my life, I’ve found myself either happy and at a lower weight or uncomfortable with an extra 30-40 lbs.
As I’m about to turn 50 in the next year, I’m ready to get off this roller coaster ride of ups and downs and have my body be the best it’s ever been yet.

I have tried various systems of training, oriented to different goals, and have yet to find the one that really motivates me to the end.
Different factors have caused my decrease in motivation: length of workouts, how challenging they are, objetives/results, etc.
After listening to your call with Vince, it seems that this is the perfect system for me, mainly, because of how challenging it is and how it trains overall fitness (endurance and strength). I like to suffer, sweat, and feel completely exhausted after a workout. It’s the only thing that keeps me from over eating at nights and drinking a few beers.
I’ve always had the dilemma of training to lose fat or to gain or keep muscle mass or be completely fit. With this system, it seems that I will both acquire the musculatre and fitness I’m looking for, while keeping the fat were it belongs.
I am disciplined and commited, and I will definitely take advantage of this system.
One more point: I would definitely buy this, but finance is not one of my strong points at the moment. In fact, I have been training all this year with only a set of dumbbells, at my apartment, and lots of creativity! And that’s one more thing I loved about the system, the fact that it can actually be done and was designed to be able to be done with just a pair of dumbbells.

I’d like a copy of the program because it offers tried & tested workouts. The fact that you guys have systematically tested for the right combinations of exercise to provide the results you advertise proves its worth. I love the clips with Arnel going through the workouts in the background. I train very hard at bjj & muay thai but work a busy construction job aswell. I’m usually left with limited time to train & struggle to structure my workouts properly, your offering me circuits to channel that effort into which will burn off the fat in short time. The nutrional information would also benefit me greatly, its an issue I always struggle with as there’s so much conflicting information out there.

I would love to win this program for my dad. My dad (52, 6’2″ 273) is not dropping weight like he should. He works out a few times a week, and what he eats may not be the best but its no where as ridiculous as it has been in the past. He’s even been to see the doctor to make sure it wasn’t some hormonal issue or something like that. Every 2 or 3 weeks he asks me what he should do to drop some weight, and we all know that people don’t listen to advice from family, I just tell him to drink more water and get more sleep. He owns his own business so he is pretty stressed.
So I think if I won the 1000 calorie challenge system I could just give it to him and he can just plug and play. He would totally do it to, since you guys have backed everything up with the science and explained it well. You guys have truly taken all the guesswork out of it and I think he would finally be happy and back to his old self again. Hopefully my mom (she’s more unhappy than dad) can jump on board and get herself back together (she doesn’t do any workouts) if my dad started to.

I’ve been working out for awhile now and I’m stuck at a plateau. I haven’t budged in over a year and I’ve tried everything to mix it up both in exercises and nutrition (Joel I’ve tried your Cheat your Way Thin program). I’m getting very discouraged. When I first heard of “1000 Calorie Challenge”, the first thing that came to mind was “IMPOSSIBLE”. I’m a huge SKEPTIC. I believe that when a claim is too good to be true, then such claim maybe just is!
On October 5th, I convinced myself to download “4 Keys to 4xs FASTER Fat Loss” report AND the 600 calorie sample workout”. The fat loss information that I gathered from these reports is one of a kind. When I learned that 1 pound of fat equals 3500 calories, it makes sense that to lose fat faster, you have to burn more calories than you burn. I don’t believe in diet. However, this program advocates that to be successful, exercise and smart diet should be incorporated. Hi I am 46 overweight low thyroid no metabolism or just not working. Everything I have tried up to this point has not done a thing for me to lose weight. I’ve been working out and eating pretty well for most of my life, but there just seems to be something I’ve been missing over the last few years. I don’t look like I’ve been working out or eating well! I love exercising, but obviously my routines aren’t what they should be. I grew up suffering from severe and chronic pains in my cheeks. i used to be a fat boy. growing up got me wondering what i can do about it, and when momma told me im starting to get that ‘pear’ shape i really freaked out. for 3 years now Ive been training home with weights, mostly by your program and tips, Arnel. since Im a student I have to juggle around studying, working and working out, all those leave me very little time for myself. Ive managed to buff up as much as I can using my time and I stand on 84 kilo’s of 1.84 metres and around the 13-14% fat. I believe in you since Ive tried youre 16 weeks program and it rocked! it allowed me to train in less than 30 minutes and get great results! i saved up some money so I can afford myself to get some time cleared, and I know just how I want to use it. this year I want to take myself to the next level. Ive got my subscription to the gym this week and Im looking forward for growing bigger and stronger, and becoming leaner and more chiseled!

I think I might have entered this already. but here goes, I’m way over weight and I need to do something about it. I have lots of will power but it’s the won’t power I’ll be needing. hi, i just turned 45 and i’ve tried every diet and exercise program available yet every time i get stuck after losing about 20 lbs, but then nothing else happens. Been doing this for the last 10 years and can never break that threshold. i’m curfently 6′ and 285 lbs. it’s very frustrating, and i was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which my doctor says i can get rid of if i can lose the weight. i’m so motivated but the same workouts i’ve used for the last 20 years obviously are not the ticket. i’m looking forward to your program! thanks!

I’m a 32 yo mother of three, 4, 3, 2y. With my pregnancies I gained 70 lbs, simply because i had an excuse to eat anything i wanted, and also because Doc told me not to exercise due to previous miscarriages. Since July I’ve been on a reduced calorie diet and lost 30lbs of fat which made me feel heavy and sluggish. I didnt want to exercise because i was this heavy. Everything hurt. Plus i was embarrassed. My veins on the legs where like stabbing knives. It’s so much better now, though. I want to start exercising again now that i feel great and my kids are in kindercare. ok,Ill be honest,being a pro athlete where weight is #1 issue ,ive tried everything and done everything,1,000 cals per workout huh,I can get cardio machines to say 1000,but very hard,im back after injury,so im challenging this system per say,get me in the best shape !
I am 24 years old and have been following arnel for a two years now, and recently you Joel. I can truly say that two years ago with arnel’s routines i was able to lose twenty pounds, went from 175 to 155 in three months time. Unfortunately as i am a full time student and work more than forty hours a week i couldn’t keep up with my fitness early in 2009 i stopped working out and slowly have grown into some of my old eating habits. I am very disappointed with myself and would like to gain that confidence i had when i was first losing weight. I definitely think this program will help me not only lose fat, but also gain some of my life back. I want to be a pharmacist some day and i don’t see myself giving out health advice to patients when i myself am out of shape. ‘cos I tried a lot of things without success. I still doing a lot of excercise, especially long periods of cycling , but my stomach always looks fatty.
Last year I have the lucky to know you and Arnel Jon Benson’s newsletters. And I’ve taken a lot of advices from you, inclusive I’ve adopted the push ups routines of Arnel but without the little dog im room. I was so close of having a good shape, but this year I found my self at the age of 46 a little bit fatter and without the time of long sport’s sessions.
So: because last year “all what you told me was true and useful” and helped me to be closer to have a flat stomach TODAY I TRUST MORE THAN EVER that this method is going to help me to reach the goal I was looking for since a long time ago. So keep me motivated as you did since a year , I won’t fail once again.

At 57 and 195 lbs I am in the danger zone for diabetes and heart problems, my BMI is in the obese category. Quit smoking 6 years ago and the weight gain was rapid and even though I have lost it 3 times it keeps coming back. Now I am even having trouble getting started. My goal is to be 135 lbs but need rapid results to stay motivated and support to stay there. Tried lots of stuff but don’t get anywhere. Lose 5 gain 7 lose 10 gain 5 and so on…… HELP
I’m 25 and have recently been diagnosed with a disorder in which the medications that are used to treat it have made me gain 50+ lbs.. it has crippled my social life and taken all the enjoyment out of life for me.. I was once 185 lbs in great shape, and am now 240.. I used to be a gym rat and also LOVED playing soccer but because of the extra weight thaose two activities are very difficult for me..
