I have been on a journey to bust the myths and misconceptions my female friends have about weight training. I have dropped 16lbs in the last two years and have kept it off. @ Joel Marion: Hi Joel, i’m in my 40’s and i’m from Australia. I can’t seem to get rid of the bulging fat around my stomach. I have tried many diet & exercise programs without much success and it can be very frustrating at times, as i would love to have a nice flat stomach with a set of abs (6 pack). I have read some of the stories on people with weight problems on your website and seen there before & after photo’s. I’m 51 and have been steadily gaining pounds the last ten years. I started going to the gym, got a one on one with the trainer to design a program tailored to me and in the two and a half years going to the gym i lost nothing. The gym was so busy now it would take almost two hours to complete a fourty five minute training session; I’ve since started to train at home. I weigh almost two hundred and seventy pounds now and on a good week drop three to four pounds but after the weekend most of it comes back. I know I need to do something soon, something drastic or my health will start to suffer.

Hi I just turned 52 and am making this the year to get back to where I come from… the land of the fit and fat free, Your system sounds like something that would work for Me. I have beem following along and must say it has sparked something inside Me…rally the troops game on. I lost My Son 3.5 years ago and My whole world stopped it is just starting to get going again, it will never be the same and I will alsways feel like something is missing, but We both were very big on fitness and I was the jock in school. My wife and I have been looking for a program to help us with weight control and have never come across a program such as this one. This program would really help benefit us both as my wife is a transplant recipient and has struggled with her weight for the past 7 years as she has to fight against adverse reactions in the medication that she is currently taking. I on the other hand, have had issues trying to get rid of the spare tire and than maintaining a healthy body. Hey, this program would be perfect for me because it has all that I need for my 21 years of fatty abdominal area (I’m 21 years old) so that’s about all my life. Also I want to see if these programs even work. I’m doing insanity but I find it very difficult because of my huge build. I have heavy legs, big upper body and the insanity people like to jump like frogs. Ive done some o arnels videos and they were much better for my build. So picking ne would not be a waste of time
I need to lose a bit of weight and get in shape. It’s horrible, when you endlessly do what you can to try and lose fat/gain muscle in the gym but yet you don’t change. I am off to college soon and I have been haunted and embarrassed for my skinny-ish appearance for years. The effect it has on your whole confidence and mentality, is awful. In all honesty, I think about it every day, every time I Get changed. I avoid going to the pool or changing in front of people, even my girlfriend.

I would like to get back down to 180 from the 226 I am now. Most of the weight is belly fat. I am 57 years old and had been gaining in 5 lb. increments as I got older and got better but less physical jobs. 2 years ago, I was back down to 206 but that was by 4-6 hours of fitness classes and another 4-6 hours of working out at the gym. I got sick of working out and slacked off considerably. I addition, I starting drinking Mountain Dew again. Now I feel stuck. I want to lose weight and build up some muscle. Also, become more flexible than I am now, but I do not want to put in those hours again. This program looks like it will work much better. And looks like the foundations and principles are much better. Please help.

I turned 50 years old this year. I have struggled most of my adult life with trying to semi-stay in shape. This year has been kinda hard. I work with over 250 other people at a power plant. I see so many of these people who just let their bodies go to heck. I know that taking care of yourself is the first step in your health care. your workouts are amazing!! i constantly chek out the vault of free videos and constantly find quality exercises. i am 18 years old and i believe this is the time in my life i am going to get the best gains and a strong foundation at this age will have me set up for life :). i just need that last little fat shredding knowledge i am somewher lacking to show off these gains!

I am 68 years old with about 20-30 lbs of extra belly fat that is from 7 years of inactivity because of a job releated back injury . I have been overweight for almost 50 years. I’ve lost some, gained some. The last time I lost 150 lbs and kept it off. Then my Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
It was expected. the signs had been there but when he was actually diagnosed, I decided to lose all the weight before he forgot who I was. My brain however translated it as “If I never lose weight he will not forget who I am.”
I’ve been lucky so far in that he still knows who I am, but the time will come when he won’t and my losing weight won’t make one shred of difference to him. But right now, losing this weight is important to me and I know it has always been important to him for my health.
My father always accepted me the way I was, now I want to show him how it could be – normal weight in a healthy body.
