I am so close to reaching my goal and the thought of being able to loose up to 5 lbs a week is encouraging…it is not quite as effective as my last diet I was on where you could loose up to 40 lbs immediately but that required the removal of a leg. I know I need some basic equipment to start the program ie dumbells…any idea how much a six pack weighs? (beer not abs) .Do you think my towel hanger in my bathroom will be sufficient as a chin up bar? Is this routine going to have me gasping for air that I will have to put my smoke out?
Kidding a side…the system looks just like the challenge I need.

Hey Joel, Your system looks like it is going to be what changes my lifestyle for ever. I have been trying to drop about 30 lbs. for a while now. I am 49 post menopausal and everything has just slowed down so much. I want to get my health and energy back so I can be around to see and play with my grandchildren. This is so important to me. I look forward to the coming days, weeks and months to see the transformation. I want to thank you for caring so much to share your knowledge and success.

Joel and Arnel,

I am currently a sophomore college student and for as long as I can remember, I have never been in shape. In grade school, I was often bullied as I was roughly fourty pounds overweight. Last year, I lost twenty pounds just by cutting down on my eating. Unfortunately, this came with its consequences and I lost much of my muscle-mass too. Today, I am twenty pounds overweight but almost devoid of any muscle.

In an attempt to regain my muscles and lose that extra weight, I jog three miles almost every day and often frequent the gym. Even with a proper diet, there appears to be a barrier between myself and fitness however. Weight loss is essential for me because my family has a history of cardiovascular problems as well as diabetes.

My immediate family is mostly out of shape as well. My brother is an aspiring fifteen year old golfer, but due to his weight he could not make the school golf team. Even though he is a foot shorter than I am, he is almost fifty pounds overweight. He is also stuck in a horrible situation where he has lost so much respect for himself that thinks that he will always be “fat”. I have been wanting to help my poor brother but I have not been able to figure out how to help him.

Fortunately, a close friend recommended you as pre-eminent specialists in the fields of body-building and weight loss. As soon as I heard the details of your 1000 calorie diet, I realized that this may be the solution to my family’s fitness problems.

Even if I do not win this contest, I plan to buy your system because I trust my friend’s recommendations, I trust you guys, and I believe that there is a solution to flabbiness.

Thank you,

Dallas

Help! I thought that checking the “notify me of followup comments via e-mail” would only send me comments on MY comments, not ALL of the comments being submitted by everyone!!! My inbox is being overwhelmed!! Please shut these off and change the wording to reflect that checking the box will mean receiving ALL additional comments on this page!!!!

i m 25 years old and i been training for about 5 years, i have around 12% of fat i want to cut down to 6% i think that with this program i could get my goals i seen arnel ricafranca and joel workouts and are the best way to lose fat , i have not seen out there any workout that can burn so many calories in 50 minutes.

Hi Joel:) Thank you for the opportunity. I love contest and I would love even more to be 10lbs thinner! I am a 32 year old Mother of two. My son is now 2years old and I STILL have an extra bit of baby love to lose. My friends have had babies as well. However, they all lost their extra weight (even eating junk food and without exercise). I feel like a moron because I have been in the gym this past year giving it all I know how to give. I think that if I had your instruction I might learn something that I am obviously missing in my diet and exercise. I don’t want to be a statistic wearing the “MOM JEANS”. I truly believe Moms can look amazing …. even better with the right tools. I am really excited:) *crossing fingers* ~ Andria

Hey, good stuff- keep it coming- thanks for the opportunity to use these great tips.

The iron guru Vince Gironda is a major hero of mine because he went against a lot of popular information at his time when it came to fitness. Most people thought he was crazy, But the few smart people KNEW he was a genius. I look up to Vince not because of his surplus of fitness knowledge, but the attitude that he carried around with him. The attitude that, anything is possible. That’s why this workout program is for me. Anyone who first hear that you would be dropping 3 to 5 pounds of pure fat every week and burning 1000 calories every workout would say you were nuts. But with thinking like that we won’t get anywhere in our lives. When i challenge myself with anything, i like to think of things on a BIG scale. I don’t want to do a workout program that’ll take me a year to get my results. I want my results as fast as possible. I believe that this program will help me get the results i want, and continue to expand my mind on what is possible.

I am a 44 year old guy. I had three small surgeries in the last three years and it frightened me enough to change my lifestyle totally. Now I am in a good shape and health but I need your challenge to complete my life for the next 44 years or more. And a I have a wife too, she is overweighted by about 160 lbs and I am worried about her too.

Hi guys,

I would like to thank you first of all, for this wonderful opportunity you guys have put forth.

From what I have read of your new program, it looks both revolutionary and interesting.

Why should I be gifted one copy of it when there are so many “needier” people out there? Why? Because I am asking for it. Ask and ye shall receive…

So, about myself: 43 years old. Used to work out religiously up until 15 years ago. Never had a six pack. Never had a plan about my gym workouts. Did lots of cardio and stayed fairly slim.

However, as the years have gone by, my waist kept up with my age, and about 3 years ago, surpassed it. Fed up with this, I went last year on a diet, and lost about 13 pounds in the first 6 weeks. I was thrilled. Clothes from 2 to 3 years earlier fit me. I was counting on similar weight losses for atleast 6- 8 months more

The diet was very tough, boring and restrictive. A lifestyle change? No! A quick fix, at best. I could not continue it. I would throw up if I did. Guess what happened? For a couple of weeks, nothing. I lost a further pound. Then, the weight came back. Gradually, slowly, and surely!

My waist size was at a low of 35. In the last year, it has gone to 36, to 38, to 40, and now to a little over 42 inches. I put on all the weight I lost, and 23 pounds more, and counting. It is not funny.
I have become very cranky, very stiff body-wise, and quite often out of breath.

I want to go on the diet, but am afraid of ballooning even more when I fall off it. If your program can help me, I will follow it, and even send you before after pics for you to use on your website if you want. My dream is to have a sixpack on my 45th birthday. Its looks unachievable from where I am. Maybe your program is what I look for. Do consider me.

And thanks for reading….
Paul

Hi,
I’m a 26 year old Asst.Professor in a School of Pharmacy in India.6years ago i started working out in the hope of developing a nice physique but bcoz of my exam schedules i was never able to continue it more than 3months at a stretch. Now i am 10kg overweight and I want to show off those people who are laughing at me that anyone can achieve it with hard work.I came to know by internet that you are giving away some good informative guidelines for people like me so I,m now mentally prepared to take on the challenge and change my life for ever.
Thanking you
Sagar

My students are amazed that I was a bodybuilder…WAS is the operative word. I have posters of how I looked and also trophies from contests. Now at 57, it’s been 17 years since I had a regular work-out program and stayed hungry! I’ve allowed myself to become old and out of shape when it was unnecessary. I need to burn fat as I begin to build muscle. I also need to get into shape for the rest of my life. Presently, I have high blood pressure and high stress. Getting my body back into shape and then keeping it that way is of high priority to me. Your 1000 Calorie Challenge would give me exactly what I need to make this change in my life. Please consider me for one of your free copies.

First off I wanted to say thank you for the wealth of information you have shared leading up to “opening day”. Because you base your program on what science has proven and backed it up with hard work and sweat, I have no doubt that it will provide the results I’m looking for if I do the same. Although I’m in need of dropping the spare tire around my middle, I’m really asking for this to help my mom. She is almost 60yr and has had lyme disease for the last 15 years. Since going through menopause, she has had the hardest time keeping weight off and the excess weight has resulted in painful joints. I would love to honor her with the gift of your program so that she can chase her grandkids and maintain her youthful spirit. Thank you for your consideration.

I like the audacity of this. Combining 1000 calorie a day mini diets with weightlifting, a free day each week, and relatively higher calorie days otherwise is simply brilliant. It combines out of the box thinking with the best and latest knowledge about losing weight. Wish you’d check out Heavyhands, though. I think you’d find a sure fire way to reach 1000 calorie workouts with ease (author Leonard Schwartz)

I have A LOT of weight to use and could really use the help! Look forwardto learning how hard I will have to work. :)

Hi Joel, I’m a 43 year old Australian woman who is currently 20 kilograms overweight. I started packing it on after I quit training, about 5 years ago and I just can’t get back into training so I can burn it off again. I know that diet alone isn’t the answer but training 6 days a week, like I used to, just isn’t possible anymore. The older I get, the fatter I get and the more unfit I get. I’m healthy enough but I’m so unfit that I just don’t think my body can take 6 workouts a week. Your program sounds like something I can commit to because you say that even unfit people can do it and work up to the 1000 cal workouts. You understand that you can’t start burning fat until you are actually fit enough to do so. I want to commit to your program so please, give me a chance. Cheers, Donna.

I am a single mother with two jobs and I never have time to take care of myself. I did well for a couple of years, but then I started gaining weight again. It is hard to find the time when you work full time and on most of your days off as well. I am also not getting any younger. I am 40 years old and I really need to burn some fat! I would like to look and feel the very best that I can! The one job that I have is very professional (real estate). Who knows maybe I will even start dating again!

I’ve been overweight for 20 years now. Due to multiple medical problems within my family I’ve decided it was time to focus on my health to make sure I’m around long enough to care properly for my family. Your program looks like it could allow me to achieve that goal.

I am a 40 year old homeschooling mother of 4 with very little time for working out and I have about 50 lbs to lose. I don’t have a whole lot of time to spend working out but I really need to get in shape. I have tried so many things but haven’t had much success. I have lost motivation because most programs require so much time. I am intrigued about the fact that this program will not take hours upon hours of working out each day (which I don’t have) to show results. I have to admit I am a little nervous about failing again although your program gives me hope that I can actually be successful.

Something has to change in my life…I am 100 lbs overweight. I am a single 45 year old woman with three teenaged children and I have spent 19 years making sure everyone else is happy. Now it’s my turn. I need to start taking care of the one who takes care of everything and to not feel gulty about taking time for myself. I have just started on my weight loss journey and look forward to learning as much as I can and have the tools I need to succeed. Thanks!

A year ago September, I was at a cancer treatment center. Now I am doing much better and have been exercising for about a month now, with my doc’s permission. I liked that your plan starts out for people who may not be in the best shape yet, but can help some one progress. I want to be fit again. I want to have energy for my family, and show them that health and fitness are important to mom. I have started lifting weights, but this is a new activity for me. I feel that having your plan would be like having a personal trainer who could teach me what to do. I am excited to see the results of working hard, and I feel like your program could help me achieve my goals. Thanks for considering me.

@ Joel Marion:give me the workout

I am 36 years old, a mother, a wife, a professional Health Consultant in the occupational health field. I’ve participated in a number of physical challenges in my life, and recently completed an Ironman Triathlon. This year I am taking on a new challenge: Finding BALANCE in my life in all of my roles AND getting myself into the fittest I’ve ever been. I’m in the beginning of a 90 day challenge to lose the last 8-10 pounds I’ve carried for as long as I can remember. I have the drive, I have been (re)learning a lot of fantastic nutritional information in these past few weeks. I want to take my challenge by storm and finally blow past my “wall”. I’ve got a number of friends who are watching and reading my blog as I start this challenge and I KNOW my success will only fuel them to take their first (second, third, etc.) steps too. There’s a fire being fueled in my world these days and I KNOW this information will just blow the barriers apart for myself and for my community. At the end of this 90 day challenge, I hope to sign up to compete in my first Figure Competition. Probably the scariest thing I’ve ever considered. Thank you so much for your efforts in taking the fitness world by storm!
