I need to get this handled…… I have lost and gained 1000 pounds…… i have gotten to 130 twice for about 10 minutes! I have totally struggled with this food and weight issue my whole life and was up over 200 back in the 80’s and got down to 155-160 in the 1990’s and have stayed close to 145 since but have I cannot ever to get the weight to 125 and stay there……. 125 is where i need to be. In the last 6 years I have put on 20 lbs. I am a firefighter and carrying the extra weight I have put on plus the 100+ lbs. of my gear can and has put a strain on my body. Walking for an extended period with all the additional weight gives me hip and knee pains. I know that the nutritional aspect of the program will help me make better choices when it comes to eating not just for myself, but for my fellow firefighters. Seeing as I do most of the cooking, it would benefit us all. Also, having a time-efficient, comprehensive workout program will allow me to follow the program even while at work. It will give me the strength to carry my gear and equipment, yet give me the endurance I need for climbing stairs and manning a hose line.

I’d really like to own a copy of this workout because I have tried other programs and nutrition advice, but never got results until I happened upon Joel’s XFLD. This is the first time I have ever stuck to a program longer than 2 weeks. I was 20lbs overweight, sluggish and totally unmotivated. I don’t know if I can begin to touch an all the reasons I need this in 250 words! I will scratch the tip for you. I am a mom of 6. YES 6! I have 16 yr old triplets, 12 yr old twins and a 10 yr old. After 2 multiple pregnacies and 3 c-sections my mid-section has MORE than its share of “stubborn belly FAT”. I have lost about 30lbs from January to June of this year, by watching what I eat (partly with the help of Isabel De Los Rios’ diet solution) and how much and when as much as my will can. But I am to the point of frustration because even after 1hour a day of excercise for 30 days straight over the summer I lost NO WEIGHT! I gave up on excercise! Obviously the work out viedos were NOT working. Honestly though I know I NEED THE “RIGHT kind of” excercise! I AM eating healthy foods BUT I NEED to learn more about the eating the “RIGHT” combinations of carbs, fats, and proteins for fat loss. NOT only has my weight loss stopped (I need to loose 20 more lbs to be healthy) but I have gained 5 lbs back! I also have hormone issues (thus the multiple-multiple births) that are a major factor to contributing to complicated migraine (I get mini-strokes, loss of language and body movment, numbness and headaches) If there is ANY CHANCE that I can help my hormone balance I NEED IT.
Also my husband is 80-100lbs overweight and I would like to show him something he can believe in enough t be motivated to get healthy. Well, Joel, I may well be your oldest entrant . . . 62 this past July! I’m in overall good health but have been fighting the weight-loss battle for many years. I know HOW to lose weight, but I’ve never been successful in keeping it off. I believe your program is what I’m in dire need of at this point. I need not only to eat correctly, but I need to MOVE. Exercise has been my downfall, and I finally realize that dieting alone will never get me to where I want and need to be. Over the past year, I’ve lost from 201 to 157, but I’m stuck! I am 44 happily married father of 1 son. I had a Hemiplegic Headaches/migraine in 98 ,I was in the hospital 10 days thought I had a stroke pretty intense needless to say. I had my epiphany and it was time for change I started lifting and using supplements read alot about body building tried to get big and once it started and all my clothes started getting small I became interested in kettlebells and body weight work outs and realized hey what was I doing I would much rather do functional than bb so I stopped eating 6 times aday and gave up supplements and went good food only . I went from 230 to 197-195 and have been able to maintain I now want to get down to 185 and this is where your program comes in it is exactly what I need to get to the next level!!!

I’m actually writing on behalf of my wife, Denise, who has been struggling with her weight lately. She usually has a vibrant, fun and outgoing personality and has been down and depressed by her current circumstances. She suffers from fybromyalgia, von willebrands disease and as yet an undiagnosed digestive issue which has effected her positive outlook on life. Unfortunately she also lost her job recently which hasn’t helped her mindset although it has given her some freetime to focus on improving herself. I think this system could be a great option for her to improve her self confidence, her health (I’m hoping that a change in diet might ease her digestive issues and reduce some of the negative effects of her other two health issues) and outlook. Given your program uses high intensity low interval training I think it may work really well with the challenges of her fybromyalgia. I had discussed some of the nutrient combining and carb syncing with her and she has started to implement those as well (along with the fact that she can have those days where you cheat but it’s too your advantage – she liked that). I had iodine radiation done in 2006 and it killed my thyroid and put me in menopause immediately. I put on 40# since then. I am an active person. I kayak, bike, ccski, etc. I have tried many diets over the years but have gained back the weight I lost. I know I eat way too many carbs and at the wrong times of day. I think the carb syncing sounds like a great innovative idea. I have never done supersets. Its been years since I have done any strength training also. I feel I would be a great prospect for your program because I haven’t tried the things you have mentioned and I feel my body would respond well to that.
