Joel, I’ve recently begun a life in recovery after years of alcohol abuse. Before this I was always fit and healthy and looked after myself fairly well. So now, I’ve begun living a mentally and spiritually healthy life and am trying to add to that a physically healthy life. I’ve recently received a grant for a gym membership and would like to maximise the usefulness of this. My life used to be lazy and couch-bound, now I am active in society. I used to think that I was worthless, now I know that I am not, that I deserve life and am grabbing it with everything that I’ve got. Help me regain the health and fitness that I once had and that I am striving for again.

Hello Joel,
I am a physiotherapist and personal trainer and I just love your material. It has been taught to us for a while that HIIT is the way to go and long and slow is a way of the past, but it is so hard to get clients to buy in. They are stuck on the idea that if they hit the treadmill for 60 minutes and jog (a pace barely faster than walking) that they will drop the pounds instantly. It is a mentality that needs to be abolished in our society!
In addition to the proper exercise routine is of course nutrition and you can always out eat any exercise program not matter how well it is set up. I would love a copy of Ninja Nutrition, not only for my own personal use, but so I can share it with patients and clients in hopes of moving toward a healthier and happier society.

I see you have received some very compelling responses. As for me, I am 61 yrs of age, have been an athlete all my life, played ball in college. Have been a builder for over 30 yrs.. So was pretty active. Worked out 3-4 times a week.Ran 4-5 miles a day,welllll, that all came crashing down 5 yrs. ago. Got sick and was
admitted to the hospital. Was misdiagnosed with 2 problems that I never had. Was given an antibiotic for 5 days that blew out my “vestibular” system (inner ear). Because of this poisoning by the medical profession,, I lost 40pounds and 70 % of my muscle mass. Am now classified as disabled. Have not been to work since the damage and have been sedentary for the last 4 yrs. Finally had to just get off my duff and started to work out again. Am gaining strength and mobility. The damage has been done, but I won’t let it beat me. I realy appreciate all the info you have been posting the last few months and am trying to implement them daily. Am now on a fixed income so buying certain items have to fall into a must for me . Winning a copy of NNT would go a long way in my coming back. I know that whoever wins wil be blessed. I would really love to win one of the ten free copies, because Im only 16 and already about 30lbs overweight and I want to lose the weight because I have my whole life ahead of me, and I want to be in shape for that. So far I’ve lost about 10lbs just by following a simple diet and exercise program, but I need other help (and no one will help me or give me advice because I’m so young.) I have been fat since I stopped smoking over 15 years ago. I have tried:
Weightwatchers, scottish slimmers, meat and veg only day diets, slimfast – still fat!
Running – trained for the London Marathon, – still fat!
Joined a gym – still fat!
Pilates for a year – more flexible – still fat!
Body combat at the same time as Pilates – still fat!
Been to doc’s been checked out – all ok – just fat!
I no longer want to be fat and fit, I want to be fit and trim.
Desparation has set in and I know there is muscles under all this blubber I just need to find out how to get to them!

Hi Joel, I’m not sure that I deserve to win more than the next person, but I WANT to win. I really need help. I am very motivated and I want to lose about 20 pounds and build muscle. For years I have been working out on my stair stepper and treadmill. In the winter, I would do my stepper for 3 hours a day at 1/2 hour sessions throughout the day. Yes I would lose but I was also startving myself. I was doing more harm than good. I really need to learn to do this right. When I started eating some, I gained these pounds and I HATE it. I really really need help with this. I have been reading all of your e-mails and I know that you could be the one to help me. I would purchase it, but like a lot of people out there, we are broke. 2 years ago we started to build a house and the economy went to hell, we finally just got moved into it, but we are living in the basement because we can’t afford to finish the top floor. I would really appreciate the opportunity to have you help me. Thanks.

I too would love to win a copy of NNT, not that I consider myself more deserving than anyone else; we all have our stories. I’m sure those who have taken the time and trouble to respond, are as committed to making the necessary changes in their lives. I believe, that if we had the knowledge and tools, we would all be walking around with our perfect bodies. Unfortunately, that is not the case and there is too much conflicting information out there, to enable informed choice.
In the end, the only thing we have to go on, is that you were one of us not too long ago, and made that decision to change. That aligned to my awareness of the BFL program, would allow me to follow your guidance to the letter and become your best advocate if things go according to plan.
However, how do you gauge who is deserving, boy I don’t envy you…

I have been fat for 15 years since I stopped smoking.
i have:
Ran- did 5ks, 10ks then trained for the London Marathon – Still fat!
Joined a gym- toned but still fat!
Pilates and Body Combat – still fat!
Various diets – weightwatchers, scottish slimmers, slimming world, slimfast, special k, Atkins – still fat!
Visited Doc’s for tests – fit and healthy – but still FAT! ( first time they used the term nearly obese!!)
I know there is muscle under all the blubber but I am just getting so fed up I looked at getting lipo! Looks to be to dangerous..
I just need HELP!!!

I absolutely need a copy of your book NNT. I am dieting and losing some pounds slowly but I will have a good two weeks then I will slack off for a few days. I get discouraged that the scale is not moving downward as fast as I think it should. If I had a tool such as your book it could propel me through these tough times and I would continue on my journey to the body that I want. My wife and I are also planning on going to Hawaii for our 20th wedding anniversary and I need to lose this extra weight so that when we take the “moonlihgt stroll on the beach” and for all the other strolls on the beach I can feel comfortable with my body in shorts and a tank top. And most of all my wife will feel proud to be next to me. Losing weight is also much harder as you get older. I am 48 and want to prove that a 48 year old man can have a body that he is proud of. So your book is a very important tool for me to acheive my goal of a 25 year old looking body in a 48 year old frame. Thank you for all your great advice so far!!

Dear Joel, Whether I deserve to win a copy of Ninja tactics, I will be purchasing my copy. Why? You are cycling low GI, macro carbs!

After numerous diet strategies, I have been reintroduced to macrobiotics by my acupuncturist/ chinese food therapist. Turns out that years of low carb, high protein, salad and raw veggies has messed up my digestion and metabolism. It has been 4 weeks of WHOLE GRAINS, cooked veggies, fruit and low amounts of meat protein. Result: better digestion less bloat and 3 pounds weight loss. Not huge amount but we are healing work in progress. (whole grains are brown rice, quinoa, millet, oatmeal: not white sugar and flour)

Is eating carbs freaking me out?? YOU BET!! but what I have done has not worked so I am trusting the old ways to help me be healthy. I cant continue eating the way I have been and be unhealthy.

When I read that you encouraged macro carbs, I want to learn more.

hey joel, i would use every trick in the book if i won a copy. i work out 2 days on,1 day off, carb cycle every week(gets me very cranky), weigh my food in grams. 95 g of carbs on a low carb day, 365g on a high carb, do hiit in the morning with 2 spoons of oatmeal in my tummy and some green tea,try to keep good posture while writing this for extra oxygen while monitoring the time so i remember to eat in the next 2 hours, and its going to be protein and fats because nutrient timing is key but i still cheat on my diet 1nce every two weeks for hormonal benefit, i also utilize exercises that boost testosterone and growth horomone as well as igf. when people get me angry i start singing just because i dont want cortisol in my system, i have old injuries from concentrating too much on form instead of the feel of the movement, my friends know somethings wrong if im not carrying around a gallon of water, and they have learned not to offer me junk food, i take centrum, fish oil, glutamine, and whey protein when needed, and alot more gym related things. i feel like ive tried everything for fatloss but still my body refuses to get super lean!!! i blame it on me being anabolic, but joel,you and i both know that there are many tricks in the book to make an anabolic guy super lean. if i win a free copy of ninja nutrition tactics i am certain that i will put all of my effort into following every rule that is set. EVEN if i have to lose muscle mass, i promiss your hard work and research would not be in vein!!!

I LOVE to learn about the body and how it uses food, and how different macronutrients have an effect on one another. Knowledge is power, and I’d like more knowledge. Understanding what you’re supposed to eat is one thing, but understanding WHY and what happens is another story. I want the info to help me when I get in tough spots. I like to confuse the body and this sounds like the perfect info for that.

Rewind my life 10 years, I was preparing to attend my 10 year HS reunion. I was an all around athlete in HS, playing both Football and baseball. I was fit and in good condition. However, the first ten years after HS had not been kind to me. My wife was expecting our first child and I had put on some sympathy weight, a lot of sympathy weight. I was at my heaviest point in my life weighing 315 lbs. I attended my HS reunion but was almost embarrassed to let people see what I had become. Now fast forward back to today. I have gotten mysel back in shape but would nothing more than to implement these ninja strategies to help me get into the best shape of my life. That way when I attend y 20 year HS reunion is this September I will be able to hear people’s jaws hit the floor when they see me.

I would love to win a copy! I am a 48 yr old female, and while i’m reasonably fit, i feel it necessary to reduce my body fat and want to increase my fitness levels. While reasonably healthy and fit now, I have very young children and horrible family health history – especially where heart disease is concerned. My mom and 2 of her sisters died young of cardiac events. I want to live to see my kids and hopefully grandkids!

Ever since I was in middle school, I was determined to get the ‘perfect’ body, and live a healthy and confident life. I looked up all the health facts and followed them all to the T. However, five years later, I am still not exactly where I want to be. I have a thyroid condition that keeps my metabolism slower than usual, so I must work extra hard to see results. Your XFLD was useful, and I lost 6 lbs following it for the 25 days exactly, but I know I need that extra boost, the ninja nutrition guuide, to finally get exactly the body I want to have. Joel – I deserve a free copy of NNT because I will definitely implement the strategies! I “found you” during the kick-off of the XFLD and I have lost 23 lbs so far! I did not enter the transformation contest because I was not about to share the before picture with anyone. I am happier than ever and ready to achieve my final goal that I am so close to. Even my friends who see me often are amazed at my transformation so far (and, yea, some are jealous). I do not make excuses, I am the one that sets a goal and gets it done. This goal is not like finishing college, which took this single mother 10 years to do (point being that I did it!). I wanted to achieve my goal weight of 145 by the end of summer (a healthy, toned 145 that is). Everyone told me that I was not being realistic. I showed them! I have those last 15 lbs to lose and it is going to happen. I think my success with XFLD is proof enough that I will use these tactics and so deserve one of your free copies. Hello, Joel! I’m working on losing my last 10 pounds and have recently become a vegetarian. People keep saying I should be seeing fat loss, but when you cut out your protein base it causes some new problems. I’d love to see your tips and incorporate them into my new non-meat diet. Hey Joel!!! Love your work. I don’t know if I am more deserving then everyone else but I would love a free copy of your Ninja report. I bought both “Cheat your way thin” and “Extreme fat loss” and tried both. I went from 17% body fat to 12% body fat since using your programs and this little manual might give me a tip to get to that super lean sub 10% number that has been my goal since I started. I deserve to win because over the months/years I have bought your programs, Roman’s, Dr K’s etc and although the workouts are great I always have a tough time with the nutrition parts thus I don’t see any real transformation. You can’t out train a bad diet. I need this.

I deserve to win because I’m going to be 48 years old in less than 3 months and I finally want my pre-baby, post college body back. I just did the 25 day extreme fatloss and it was amazing! It changed my abs, it changed my legs and it motivated me more that any other program I’ve EVER done before. I have been training for a lot of years and only got really serious recently when I realized that 50 and menopause is coming at me way too quickly! I want to fight the aging process with all tools that I can and Joel’s programs are the way for me.
