What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

You know how you lose 300+ pounds really quick? You catch your abusive fiance cheating and finally gather the courage to dump him. You know the best revenge? Live life well–prove that he was holding you back. Get healthy. Be happy. Be successful. Dig deep within yourself and show the world who you really are. Transform yourself into a better version of you.

This chapter of my journey in life started in October 2011. I still have one of the last pictures taken of us together at an event. Well, that same event is coming around again this fall, and I’ll be seeing a lot of the same people I did then. I’ve regained my health, my confidence, and have turned my life around.

And I want to turn heads, too. I want them to see how much of a positive change I’ve gone through since then. I have already lost 40 pounds on my own, and my friends have said I look 10 years younger already. 16 weeks was about my target anyway. I have every intention to wear midriff-baring, leg-showing, sleeveless outfits. There will be LOTS of pictures taken, and I swear I’ll be in more than 1 this year.

But I’ve hit the dreaded plateau, and despite trying to switch things up, I’ve been stuck for the past couple of months. I could use the help–actual personal guidance–because I’m beginning to worry I’m at the point where doing this on my own won’t get me all the way to my goal. I want to shatter my goals too!

I really appreciate the consideration, and hope you can help me as we’re coming to the home stretch!

Hi,
My goal for the next 16weeks is to put on 4-5pounds of lean muscle. My specifics are as below:
I am 48yrs old, 167cm tall and 59Kgs at 18% body fat.
I have been body building for 2years now wherein I have gained maybe 2pounds muscle and lost 2-3% body fat. Before getting into gym training I used to play badminton 2times a week which I have stopped now.

I am basically a vegetarian but eat eggs (chicken occasionally).
I have never known my weight to go above 61kg. Do you think I can get to my goal with your help?

Cheers,
Avinash.

I am 47, in reasonable shape, 5’11, 185 lbs. I would like to inprove my cardiovascular endurance so that I can run 10 k without stopping, in under 60 minutes. I would like to be able to do my fightshapre fitness classes, without stopping, giving 110%. I als do Brazilian Jiujitsu, and I would like to be able to ‘roll’ for three rounds without losing my breath, and then getting injured because I gassed out.

I am 66 years old, I weigh 315, I have lost 25 lbs over six months.
My 16 week goal is to weigh 250 by Sept 1, 2013. Carbs are my problem but not the sweets kind. Pasta, bread, cereal etc.
I have legal custody of my 6 year old great grandson, I need more energy and need to be here for him as long as possible. I am his “Mom”.
I have been married 24 years this year. My husband has never seen me thin.
I have 4 grown children 39yrs – 45 yrs. The most I weighed 9 months pregnant was 150 lbs
Thank you for any help you can provide

Please help with some strategies! I seem to respond best to hot yoga.

Could definitely use some coaching. Thank you.

I’m a 51yr old female. Over the past year I have noticed how my muscles turned to flab and I now have quite a bit of cellulite dimples showing, especially the tummy, thighs and buttox and I think even my upper arms! I need help with proper eating and exercise (I’m not one for cardio but I’m willing to put in effort) as I need to look good to feel good. I don’t mind againg gracefully but this shape is not what I’m used to and it weighs me down. I need to also lose some weight (say 5pounds or so)n but ultimately its about toning and building leaner musclei

Hi my name is Mariah and I am a recent graduate with an exercise science degree looking to go into health and fitness. My goal is to drop 3-4% body fat and become as lean as possible. My 16 week goal is to lose 70 pounds and also train for my first tough mudder. I am currently living in Germany with my active duty Army soldier. The tough mudder is coming here for the first time. I would love to be able to compete with my husband not just cheer from the sidelines. I once was always the first one to jump in and do something first but after cancer and treatment I put on the weight and lost my self esteem and confidence. I want to find the me again that was fearless and confident and happy.

I would love to have at least 35% of my old body back , here are some of the stats that used to be me , there is a huge age diffrence , yet it is achievable

i have been training , super sets , kettle bells , last two – three months lost 8kg and no still at 107 kg’s , i am training well , cycle about 30km per day , super sets that includes 20 Minutes on the treadmill , 2km rowing , 6 sets arms weather bicepts and or tricepts , shoulders and back , i need to increase the wight loss and or centimetre loss dramatically , i must say i have great genes and can achieve a front page body , it seems that i need professional help to get a proper training program , with this i can win any competition out there , this is how confident i am in my capabilities. Joe please help.

I want to lose the final layer of belly fat that I have nicknamed my “lunch box”.
Though I am a certified nutritionist, I know what and how to eat for better health, but Life comes at you fast and I need some accountability that comes with your coaching.

My goal is to get my fitness confidence back after having a baby. I return to my job in four weeks but plan to go self employed in September, so need to drop body fat, gain muscle and improve my flexibility. More importantly I need to get my mental focus on my fitness and nutrition….which is where you’d help!

16 weeks is a lot of time to use effectively. Adding 10 pounds of muscle and getting ripped would be my dream but also a great achievement for the trainer

Hi, I’m in pretty good shape, train 5x per week, eat pretty clean etc. My problem is getting the balance right with exercise and rest days plus nutrition. I tend to do too much and my progress is slow. Over the next 16 weeks and with your help I’m sure I could hit my goal of more balance and add 3-5kg of muscle. I would like to be accountable for my goal and I’m asking for help. It’s a bitter pill to swallow as I’m a personal trainer and a chef so my knowledge and self sabotage behaviour is working against me. Putting my trust in someone and letting them guide me through the next 16 weeks would help me achieve my goals.

Thanks

Kelly

Hi Joel and Dan,
Love both of your work. Keep doing what you are doing. My goals for the next 16 weeks are to get to 130 lbs with 15% body fat. I am 5’7″ at 150 and 20% body fat. 4 years ago I weighed 228 so I have come a long way and I am almost where I want to be. I believe with the expert coaching from both of you I will be able to acheive my goals.

I’m 43, and what doctors call morbidly obese. I’ve already lost 200 lbs from my heaviest weight of 560 lbs. I work hard (physically) at my job, moving furniture, and I’m not afraid to work. But I do have Type II diabetes, and my goal is to try to get a handle on my blood sugar, and continue to lose weight.
