Welcome to the “Inside”!

Posted by Joel Marion

You are now officially part of the best body-changing website on the internet!

Below are a few suggestions to help you get started with the blog and ensure you get the most of out of the Body Transformation Insider experience:

1.  Go ahead and get yourself a Gravatar at Gravatar.com.  Gravatars or “globally recognized avatars” are the little pictures that you see next to comments posted on the site.  They give your comments personality (and you should be commenting!) and help to identify you around the site.  For your Gravatar, you can choose a headshot, the logo of your favorite sports team, or just about anything else you’d like (just keep it G-rated, please :-)).

One cool thing about Gravatars is that they are recognized on literally thousands of blogs and websites across the web, so once you have one, you’re set!

2.  If you haven’t already done so, download my FREE 17-page Fat Loss Secrets Exposed special report at the top of the page.  In this report, I give you six of the best fat loss strategies that have been responsible for literally shedding thousands of pounds from my clients trouble spots.  You definitely don’t want to miss this information as having it will put you ahead of 99.9% of other people trying to drop unwanted body fat-guaranteed.

3.  I’m all about interacting with and getting to know my readers.  One of the best ways to do this is through various social networks like Facebook and Twitter.  On Twitter, you can keep up to date with everything I’m doing and working on, interact with me, and get even more fat-loss tips and strategies.  And on Facebook, well, you all know how Facebook works!

Click here to follow me on Twitter.

And here to friend me on Facebook.

4.  If you’d like to know more about me, read this page.

5.  Get involved!  I want you to comment and become part of what we’re doing at BodyTransformationInsider.com!  Go through the posts, introduce yourself, and share your thoughts, questions, and input.  The more you interact, the more this site will benefit you and the more likely you will be to succeed at achieving your goals.

6.  Lastly, I’d love it if you’d do me a favor.  Under each post, we have a “social sharing” widget that allows you to share the content of the site with others via Facebook, Twitter, email, and a ton of other social bookmarking sites like Stubleupon and Technorati just to name a few.

If you enjoy a post, you can really help my efforts (Body Transformation Insider is a one-man operation) by using this widget to easily share this site with your friends.  Post it to your Facebook newsfeed, send a tweet to your followers on Twitter, or simply use the “email” function to send the post to your contacts.

My goal is to reach more than 1,000,000 people for fitness this year, and with your help, I know we can blow right past that number.

Simply put, the more people we get to the site, the more people we can help, and together, we’re sure to be unstoppable!

Alright, so this is what I’d like you to do right now:

1.  Post a comment below and let me know what you think about the site!  Also, would love it if you would take a minute to introduce yourself.

2.  Share, share, share!  Use the below widget to share this site with your email contacts, Facebook friends, Twitter followers, or any other social site you belong to!  With our sharing tool, it literally takes just a click of a button.  Thanks in advance for taking just a few seconds to share what we’re doing with your friends!

Talk to you soon!

Joel

Will Xtreme Fat Loss require purchasing Nutritional Supplements and Meal Replacements (bars, shakes, etc.) in addition to the program?

Hi Joel
I have tried so many “diets” over the past 10 years but have not been successful. I have gone from being approx 115-120lbs to 200lbs…the main reason for this is due to medications I have been prescribed but I feel there should be something I can do to lose SOME OF THIS EXCESS WEIGHT!!! I have become discouraged many times…my physical health has also inhibited me from alot of the exercise programs, but I KNOW I could do a 30 minute exercise routine 3 times a week, if given the proper program.
I feel you may just have that program that will work for me & am very excited about starting youR PHAT LOSS PROGRAM. So looking forward to receiving this program!!!
Thanx So Much

Hey Joel,

I’m your new pal from across the pond!
I’ve been following John for months and thought it was about time subscribed to your blog to, as it looks just as awesome!

Really admire the science behind your training methods and the easy-to-digest approach you bring to it for us guys. There’s literally nobody in England innovating programs like you and Roman do so… well I’m great full.

Hopefully be picking up XFLD soon, just need to work out a way to pay for it :)

speak to you some more on the blog,

best,

Chris

I use electronic scales that measure Body Fat and BMI etc.
( Salter/Homedics #9119 – cost $100 approx )

They have a USB stick that enables me to carry the measurements to my computer.

They come with software that lists the readings and draws a chart showing both the detail and the trend.

As suggested by Joel, I do the measurements first thing in the morning and the results are consistent. The Body Fat measurements correlate well with the results from my gym using a more sophisticated and expensive tool.

I dropped from a BMI of 26 to just under 22 & from 190 lbs to 145lbs over 6 months in 2008 and I have been able to keep it pretty much constant since then.

I do measure daily and can see my weight dropping from Monday thru Saturday, when I am careful with what I eat, followed by a slight rise on Sunday & Monday after the weekend ! Very useful feedback.

I am a 195 pound, 5′ 5”, 58 yr old, working as a seamstress/wardrobe clerk at a nearby casino. we are at 9000 feet elevation and I live with husband, 58, and Mother-in-law, who is 89 1/2, has no short term memory ability and is incontinent. I use a CPAP with 2.0 Oxygen supplemented at night.
I had ovarian cancer, 6 cycles of chemotherapy in 2007. I have been having trouble with my weight for over 25 years. I can not get much time to exercise,
so I try to make the most of what time I have available. I feel very out of shape. I recently ordered your program and I hope it arrives soon. I probably can not work as hard as many of your other people can, but I just want to improve myself as best as I can. I feel desparate to lose at least 25 pounds, and would hope I could lose up to 60 pounds within a year or so. Part of my own problem is that I grew up in a bakery, and I love to eat baked goods.
But at least I am not baking them any more. I don’t have a lot of time to be on a computer either. Right now I need to get Mom off to bed and myself too.
I have a lot of health related problems, that I feel would improve if I could improve my metabolism, build back muscle tone, and strengthen myself so that I have better stamina to get through my days, with less aches and pains.
I am not probably going to be visiting on Twitter nor Facebook. For me, I find they are just too confusing to use.
Thank-you that you have this more simpler method of communicating.

LEPTIN – Is it reset according to the number of calories you eat in one day or the length of time you spend eating or both? The reason I ask is because sometimes I only eat from 12-pm to 8 pm and sometimes I’m so busy I can only eat between 3pm and 8pm and I was just wondering if that was enough time spent eating to reset leptin on cheat days. Also, if it’s governed by calories, by how many calories should I “over-eat?” Is an extra 1000 calories enough? Thank you for the site, Joel!

Hey Joel,
Just wondering if you could do a blog on alcohol and its hormonal effects on the body?? Just would like to hear them explained.
Also is it possible to combat the effects of a nights drinking by having your fast day the following day combined with two sessions??

Got your program last week. Just my luck, after I ordered it you offered the bodyweight training. No gym available so will have to adapt. Can’t afford to get the bodyweight program. My orders for BCAA and ProGrade should be in next week so will begin on the 20th. Can’t wait to see the results. Have lost 15 pounds in the last 9 months. Doing a boot camp twice a week and have recently started running. Will let you know how it is going. Thanks!

hi joel,
i just had my first cheat day (on the XFLD) yesterday, and i have to tell you, it was hard work! i was nervous about eating so much (and so much sugar/fat/etc) in one day, but i did it. and i was soooo uncomfortable! to maintain my current weight (158, and im 5’8″), i would need 1800 cals so i shot for 5000 on the cheat day. yikes! i think i made it to 3900 cals by 10pm… then i had to ROLL myself to bed! after eating a huge muffin, handfuls of crunch ‘n munch and cheetos, a big roast beef sandwich, several pieces of chocolate, a piece of carrot cake, spaghetti and meatballs w/ lots of parmesan, a piece of fritatta, a cup of ice cream, a brownie, soft cheese and crackers, one glass of red wine, three glasses of juice and lots of water… OMG it was really hard!! so im very glad i dont have to look at food during the fast day today… wow. do you have any suggestions on how to consume enough cals on the cheat day without feeling totally uncomfortable??

Hi Joel, I’m a 52 y.o. Irish mum, working full time all my life. My weight has spiralled out of control since turning 50, always was overweight since the birth of my first child, now I’ve a BMI of 43!! Have done every diet and exercise programme out there starting with WW and have just got bigger and bigger every time. Went to 4 different docs for help with my weight and got nothing, they all think it’s a case of calories in, calories out, but my job is very physical and I walk about 5,000 steps a day at work. Stress, not just stress-eating, is my downfall, I think. Nothing works for me except R&R. Every time I have time off work I lose weight without trying. If your programme works I’ll be shouting it from the rooftops. Do you really believe you can help?

joe,
just started the program and on the fasting day. for 90 grams of BCAA, how many supplements/ pills does that equate to? seems like an awful lot and wanted to make sure.

I love your new website. I really enjoy all the recipes you’ve been passing along. It’s oh so easy to get in a rut eating the same things over and over again. Variety is GREAT! I’m also looking forward to hearing about the success es of others with your Phat Loss program!

Hi Joel,

Just finally got my hand on the XFLD! Not that I have much to lose (1.68 for about 66kg). I do exercise a lot too, cardio and weight lifting. BTW I live in Shanghai/China. Then why a diet program? Well, I just want to feel even better… What the heck look at Vince & Flavia…

I have a couple of questions that I don’t know where to ask…

1/ Regarding the BCAA supplementation, you are mentioning 0.3g x BM. How do I calculate 43 g /6 times over the day, not knowing how much grams there is within a cap!?
2/ You are mentioning from the Prograde website some supplements (multi vitamins, etc.), that I don’t see (beside Prograde Workout) being used in the Diet or even in the Meal Plan… Can you help me with this?! Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Yann.

Hi Joel, I am wanting to know if I can return your Extreme Fat Loss Diet and Done-for You Accelerator Pack. Due to the fact that since I bought it, I have developed a severe back problem, with nerve damage and I am afraid exercise is out of the question.
I am sorry to be wanting to return it, but I feel it pointless if I can’t do the whole thing properly with 110% effort. Extreme Fat Loss Diet $77.26. AUD Order number EM5ZH69S. You Accelerator Pack. $34.53. Order NumberEM5ZH66Q. Hoping some one can attend to this matter for me. Thank you. Regards Pamella
