You are now officially part of the best body-changing website on the internet!
Below are a few suggestions to help you get started with the blog and ensure you get the most of out of the Body Transformation Insider experience:
1. Go ahead and get yourself a Gravatar at Gravatar.com. Gravatars or “globally recognized avatars” are the little pictures that you see next to comments posted on the site. They give your comments personality (and you should be commenting!) and help to identify you around the site. For your Gravatar, you can choose a headshot, the logo of your favorite sports team, or just about anything else you’d like (just keep it G-rated, please :-)).
One cool thing about Gravatars is that they are recognized on literally thousands of blogs and websites across the web, so once you have one, you’re set!
2. If you haven’t already done so, download my FREE 17-page Fat Loss Secrets Exposed special report at the top of the page. In this report, I give you six of the best fat loss strategies that have been responsible for literally shedding thousands of pounds from my clients trouble spots. You definitely don’t want to miss this information as having it will put you ahead of 99.9% of other people trying to drop unwanted body fat-guaranteed.
3. I’m all about interacting with and getting to know my readers. One of the best ways to do this is through various social networks like Facebook and Twitter. On Twitter, you can keep up to date with everything I’m doing and working on, interact with me, and get even more fat-loss tips and strategies. And on Facebook, well, you all know how Facebook works!

Hi Joel,
I just got your program and looking forward to getting started. When I read your initial page about the cheating, I had an AHA moment! Cuz I recall that happening to me in the past. So now I’m looking forward to getting my week planned out and then getting to have a cheat day!
I love your site too. Colors really stand out! And I like how you actually do respond and it shows that it’s from you. I look forward to this new journey (especially the cheating part :o) ) and all the exciting things you have to share! Thank you! Tammy
Hi, I’m a 45yr old Australian mum of 2, Figure Competitor…always looking for improvement. Would love to see more natural muscle in Female Bodybuilding!
Looking forward to exploring yr info & research:)
Hi, I’m a 52 year old mom of 2, I also own a horse which I ride as much as I can. I am back in school because I want to become an architect (I am already an engineer) and I like the results of weight training. I have lost 2 dress sizes since January and plan to lose two more by the end of July. I especially like that I am getting much stronger and my core strength and balance are MUCH improved! I like your site, but I am finding it difficult to find the support email address…
I am looking forward to starting the “Cheat your way thin” program!
Hey Joel,
New to the site. Started with truth about abs which introduced me to Rob Poulos who introduced me to you. I have much information here at my fingertips. Trying to digest it all and get a routine going. Thanks for everything!
NEW TO THE SITE. I FEEL LOST WITH SO MUCH INFORMATION. I DO NOT KNOW WHICH PLANN IS BETTER, THE FAST LOSS OR THE CHEAT ONE. ALSO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT KIND OF EXERCISES ARE BEST FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME. I WORK ALL DAY IN FRONT A DESK, I AM 30 POUNDS OVERWEIGHT AND I AM DESESPERATE. IF SOMEONE COULD ADVISE ME THAT WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS AND SORRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH, I AM NOT AMERICAN!

Hi Joel,
My name is Liz and I’m on week 1 of the Priming Phase and really hoping for a decent weight loss by this coming Monday. I’m leading a team of 12 in a weight challenge contest at one of our local gyms, so every ounce counts at this point! I was finding that I was really struggling to a) get to my personal goal weight and b) keep the weight off that I lose everytime I do a challenge. I’ll let you know how it goes…weigh-in day is Monday!
Awesome site Joel. I’m going to enjoy reading your articles and such. I’ve ordered you book as well, and can’t wait to read it.
An upfront apology before I even get started: I’m a bit of a research junkie, and I’m particularly fond of critiquing methodology. If I nit-pick something you post, please don’t take it as a personal attack!!!
Me? I treat fitness training/body transformation as a my off-season sport from hockey. Every winter I stop all non ice training and eat/drink whatever I want, INTENTIONALLY letting myself get heavier as the winter goes by. Then in the spring, I set up a new program and get myself back into shape. People say I’m crazy to do this, but it really helps be to stay focused on my training to have specific fat loss goals rather than just “staying in shape”. My best summer so far (which followed my worst winter) was a loss of 52 lbs of fat and a gain of 12 lbs of lean mass in 3 months. This winter wasn’t all that bad for weight gain, I only have about 20 lbs to drop. It all starts this monday…
Keep up the good work Joel!!
Hi all:
Just checking things out, and wanted to introduce myself. I am a 41 year old mom of 3 boys, I’m 5 ft nuthin’ and 113lbs. I’m what Joel likes to call skinny fat. I have lots of muscle under this layer of fat that I’ve been battling for 4 years after baby boy number 3. I’m looking to lose that last 10lbs and see some muscle from all the hard workouts. I’m sick of working my butt off and it literally not coming off :( !! So, I’m checking out Joel’s program and hoping that with a cheat day, I won’t fall off the wagon and “cheat” when I shouldn’t be. Any advice – great – bring it!!
this is the lazy mans way of keep fit ,this is a dreame come true , i am a OVO LACTO vegitarian , which basically means i dont eat meat & no fish ,every thin g else i eat . do u have any info for vegatarians like me ,& what late nite snacks can a veggy like me eat when i get the munchiies geff
Hi Joel,
I forgot to tell you I’m 56. I agree with everything you’ve said. Before my treatments I had had lost 30 lbs and was in great shape. I regained about 20 lbs during and after my treatments, but I’m looking forward to getting back in shape.
Thanks
Joel, I just purchased Cheat your way thin and am looking forward to trying all your techniques. I’ve been on a health journey for a while now and the info provided in this website has given me ideas and reinforcement. I have managed to lose over 100 lbs using alot of these techniques and am hoping that the CYWT plan will allow me to strip off these last few pounds of oblique fat that I can’t get rid of. What you say about prolonged calorie restriction makes sense, but I wanted to flat out ask you: Will I be able to get to/maintain true single digit bodyfat percentages using your plan?
Thanks for a what I hope to be a life altering program,
OAK
Hi Joel. I have always been interested in fitness, I also spend some time working on my farm as well as studying for a Masters degree in Environmental management, but I would like to do some study in fitness science aimed at the more mature person. Am looking forward to completing the first part of “Cheat Your Way Thin”.

Morning from London! Liking the sound of your training ethos, short n sharp is the way!
Hi Joel,
I was a bit sceptical about the cheat your way thin diet and workouts but have already lost 4ibs in 9 days and hav’nt gone hungry at all. My clothes are definitely looser. Looking forward to my cheat day, but have lost my taste for sweet things anyway.
Jan
I am on day 12, down 4 lb, but clothes are as tight as ever and I have literally stuck to this. My average low carb day consists of either 2 eggs for breakfast or a whey protein shake in water, snacks are usually an Atkins low-carb snack bar or a Think Thin bar, lunch is usually another protein shake, Atkins or whey, snack bar for snack and dinner is usually a 4 oz burger with low-fat cheese and mustard. I do a fat burning workout in the evening or sculpting workout (not too intense) and soon to be doing HIIT workouts instead, followed by a prebed shake. What can I tweak to improve the fit of my clothes and see progress. the 4 lb could be water weight and after 11 days I would think there would be more improvement. I am 5’6″, 176 lb 45 years old
You and I are in the EXACT same boat! I am 113 and skinny fat (gained 60 pounds with baby #3 – lost it all PLUS, then gained about 10 lbs back of pure lumpy fat). Workin my muscles for the past 2 years but still have a stubborn layer of fat. REEEEALLY hoping that Joel’s plan is going to be THE ONE for me.@Dana –
@Carolyn Werner – Hi Carolyn! The big thing I see lacking in your diet is vegetables….they appear to be non-exisistent. Veggies are so important to your health, plus they have a lot of natural water and fiber. Perhaps try replacing some of your bars and shakes with real food and see if that might help you out. Good luck on your journey!
@Liz Suniga – Thank you for the information. Even though I occasionally have a salad with turkey for lunch, the example I listed was a good 9/12 days so I will change some things around and have more veggies. Thanks again
Thanks for the feedback Dana. Well, I feel like I am starting over, thinking I was doing good but today is a new day and salads are replacing my snack bars. Maybe this new turbulence training is just what you need. I can only wish I had 10 lb of stubborn fat. I have 30. I found some great turbulence training workouts on Youtube I am going to give a try. Thanks again @Charlotte –
Just a quick question – is it possible to jump right into the core phase if you don’t have much to lose (very close to goal)? Or is the primary phase still necessary?
Hi Joel, I am looking forward to losing big with your method. I decided in early April to finally lose the weight I’ve been carrying around for about 25 years. I’ve gone on some good diets but never stayed the course and always gained back more than I lost, so I’m needing to lose about 200 pounds. I started by lowering calories nearly in half, keeping a food diary and exercising, and it’s been working but I noticed that I just couldn’t do it 7 days a week after the first month. I would fall off the wagon about one day a week, then I would get back on and keep going. I was slightly frustrated with myself but figured better to keep going than to give up. After reading one of your earlier books I realized I was really doing my body a favor by falling off the wagon once a week. So I’m excited to go forward with your teaching. Thanks!!!
Joel,
I’m impressed by the awesome community you’ve got growing here. Hopefully you will reach a lot of people and help them change their lifes for the better in 2009 (and beyond!)
Keep it up buddy!
Yavor
