Joel,
I’m a 17 year old who’s been struggling with food since puberty; struggling meaning i’ve fluctuated in weight for years by starving myself and then not knowing when to stop, and every time I go on a rampage for all this processed food; I get even heavier then I was the last time. I want to live my life, and not live it for food, and I want to finally come across a diet that doesn’t leave me bingeing away after 2 weeks. Cheat Your Way Thin, if anything, seems like the perfect approach for me – I need a way to be able to enjoy my lifestyle with my friends when they bake cakes and all sorts, but also to be satisfied with the way I look. Like so many other people, when I was in one of my “light stages” i like to call them, I felt grateful for everything, there was nothing that could stop me. I would exercise every day, I would have all this initiative and power to really be the best that I could be. I need to get out of this “dark stage” once and for all and get that fiery person I know lives inside of me, out. This is not a cry out for sympathy, my mom’s a personal trainer and my dad’s a counselor, I get enough from them :) These are 246 odd words about why I hope you’ll help me to bring that person out.
Joel, I have learned over the last few weeks from all the great info contained in your newsletters that I have been missing some things. I thought I had it figured out but must have slacked off or something when I hit my plateau. I had been eating clean, low carb, to no carb abstaining from all of my favorite cheat foods because I had to make it.. well thank you for the info you have given me about carb cycling thru your newsletters… I feel that your Holiday edition cheat your way thin will be just what I need to get me thru to the new year and to be in the best shape I have been in years by the Arnold classic in March where I plan to be with some friends and class mates at the UFC event and meeting with some of the best in the bodybuilding and fitness industry.. thanks for all the help and motivation info…
yours , Tracy
Amazig to say the least!!!!! Best ever tried.Good work Joel.
I accidently stumbled onto your web site (twice) so I knew I should go for it.
So I am. Life can have more energy when you loose weight. I’m 61 and caring for me elderly mother,(99yrs) so I have been sitting around for the past three years and stacked on the fat. Now I’ve got enthusiasim to get off my back side and move and shift these extra kilos. Thanks
Dear Joel
I NEED this…
I am constantly making myself miserable by punishing myself through food. I try to stick to unrealistic strict diets and when I fall of the wagon I beat myself up somewhat. I feel as though I live on an emotional rollercoaster. To look at me most would not think i needed to diet and some even say i have no fat to lose. I want to be lean not skinny-fat. Now I know your diet won’t take away my stretchmarks or excess skin, but I hope it may be the answer to the punishing diet regime I find myself constantly failing on. I have tried EVERYTHING, every diet going and still can’t shed that stubborn fat around my hips, thighs and belly. I have started to think about giving up on it entirely and just accepting that I can’t look how I want to look it’s just not possible to do and keep a sane mind and sense of wellbeing. Your diet will be my last ditch attempt. If it gives the results you say it can then I will forever be in your debt and you will have made one woman and her poor family very happy. I hope you have the power to do what you say you can. Maybe you can be “my Anthony” and help me turn things around before I quit entirely.
I used to be extremely active, until the circumstances of my life changed…..I went from working at a very physical job to being a full-time student. Also I’ve passed the 40 year mark, and its not so easy to lose weight as it was when I was younger. Now I’m battling to keep the extra weight off. Fortunately I’ve been slim most of my life, but this situation seems like it could be a losing battle. This plan seems like it could work for me because I make my food the night before and put a lot of thought into it. Also I tend to loosen up a bit on the weekends. I think I could do this. Plus I’d love to hear more about why this works.
I would like to win the Cheat your way thin – Holiday edition. Because everything you’ve said makes sense. I have noticed that my weight went down after I ate a few carbs one day. I am on a protein, fruit and veggie diet. I am off of process foods for the most part. Sometimes it is discouraging that the scale does not move. I feel smaller in my clothes but the scale won’t budge! I remember the Rotation diet from years ago and it is basically the same concept. I have about 100 lbs to go and need help because I am soon to be 58 years old. It is harder to move the weight now that I am older. I am dieting because I have health issues I want to improve. I want to be healthy!
Joel, this past year and a half I have changed my way of eating to focus on nutrition; and, I have lost 50-lbs in the process. Since last December I have stabilized my weight, and only go up & down in a 6-lb range (up when i eat less veggies and more starchy non-whole foods, particularly if I add refined carbohydrates, and down when I eat mostly veggies with less concentrated non-foods). I am ready to let go of more excess. Currently I have about 47% body fat and am 30-lbs from a major goal. Hence, 10 to 15-lbs lost over the holidays would be an inspirational start! Since winter is coming and I naturally crave more starchy non-whole foods this method would be of great help to keep going (as last year when there were so many less organic veggies available in the stores, I had started adding in these non-foods again; and, naturally, my weight loss stalled). I would like to know exactly how to include these “fun foods” using your strategic planning process which would allow me to let go of body fat, feel more in control of my choices, and aim toward optimal health… all while cheating!
I did enter my essay. Did you get it?! PLEASE look for my entry and consider me, too. Thank you!
Hi Joel,
I am so excited to hear about the Cheat Your Way Thin Holiday Edition. I am a mom of two teenagers, and also work from home. Since I’m no longer chasing around my babies, I finally feel like I have some time for me. I see a vision of myself that I like, and it makes me quite happy. I am sure that your program will help me get to that vision, and will also help me achieve a healthier lifestyle.
Thank you for your support and the wonderful information you continually provide.
Cathy :)
I need a plan that will work long term. I’ve never dieted before nor have I ever tried to lose weight. But when I do, I intend to do it in a REALISTIC way. This is why I believe this program is for me.
Key components of this program include being able to enjoy food, knowing that if you eat food at the right time of the week, in the right amounts, even ‘bad’ foods can be overcome naturally by the body. Also key is the need to maintain the body’s balance. (I don’t want a body shouting back at me every day just because I’m trying to be healthy.) Another key component that I like is the way to exercise… high intensity exercise that does not take ages, leaving more time for other things in life!
This is about making some lifestyle changes that I can motivate for! I am not interested in making changes that are impossible to keep up, but if I can understand the motivation behind something, I will willingly buy into it. This program fits right in with my way of thinking.
I like to be as healthy as possible; that is already a motivating factor for the lifestyle I choose. And I have already successfully made certain lifestyle changes which I have been able to maintain for many years. I now need a program that will bring it all together. I believe that this IS that program!
Hi Joel,
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to put a post on your blog and to enter to win. Your way to diet makes so much more sense than anything that’s ever been offered or advertised and this is a huge break for anybody that has tried to lose weight. This is a way of life people can stick to and really make a difference controlling their weight. I think you will make a huge difference for me and for many others because this is actually so natural. There’s no harmful diet pills and no cutting out the foods that we actually need to be healthy.
Thanks again.
Hey Joel,
I have bumped into your website by chance and at a moment I just knew that it is exactly what I need. When I started reciving your newsletter,I understoo so many mistakes hat I have done along the way,and I decide that I have to get your program..
Since I was 15 years old,I have been struggling my weight and self esteem, trying any single kind of diet, diet pills , and hunger-supprresers.
None of them worked for me,since I have been always ruin them with my insane hunger-attacks,in which I can eat 20 donuts (just an example..) one after the other without feeling anything, besides hating my self after it,which has led me to eat even more unhealthy food and stop going to the gym etc.
It gets really bad sometimes and its totally controlling my life.I get one of these crazy cravings, and the day after I just cant put anything in my mouth….and the same story goes again and again.
I want this chain to stop and start living a normal and healthy life.
I know that having the ability of eating what I love and losing weight at the same time will be just right for me and I cant wait to learn how to!
Thank you,
Maya

Hi Joel, well I would love this free life changing gift as I have lost 32kg and kept it off for the past 8 years, but even along with great training and a great way of eating I find the kg’s creep back on. I would love to know how keep them off for good, along with being able to have 2 days where I can indulge a little should I choose to. I am also a mature age Personal Trainer and I know my clients would love to know your secrets that they too can loose weight and keep it off. Pick me, I will be your loyal advocate……………….Michelle
The reason I am interested in what you are proposing is that when I read your description of eating moderately & then eating more at times, I realized that is pretty much how I used to eat naturally. I called it “fool the body”. Then as I aged I gained a bit of weight…one pound for every year over 50, I did not take it off because my fool the body approach was no longer the “natural” approach for me. Although I ate in a very healthy manner most of the time, I had my little splurges and put on a pound a year, which does not seem like a lot but it is on so solidly that I have never been able to take it off. I became a personal trainer last year & still need to take off a few pounds to show my money is where my mouth is.
I live an active lifestyle. I play sports weekly, go hiking regularly, walk most everywhere (especially on the weekends), and I enjoy working out at the gym. I’ve got excellent muscle mass, but unfortunately I also have excess fat mass. I know that my excess fat is due to my eating habits. I don’t like the idea of restrictive dieting, because eating should enjoyable. From the information you’ve shared so far, I look forward to finding out ways I can still enjoy what I eat and the experience of eating and yet still shed the fat. I want to use your wisdom and research to be more strategic with what and when I eat without taking the joy out of the dining experience.
Well, to be honest i really wanted to get my hands on a copy of your book by purchasing it, reason being, i cannot even begin to imagine how much effort you put in to creating this book, if i win this, i would consider it a bonus to getting a great plan that will basically run the word change through my eating habits while dieting, well what i mean to say is that i will be able to use one word more consistently whilst eating… that is FREEDOM (kind of like how Mel Gibson says it at the end of braveheart lol). So yeh, look forward to the release.
thanks
This programme will potentially be perfect for me in order to sort my metabolism out as the last few weeks I have been following a very low calerie diet with vitamin shakes and soups and I have dropped 22 lbs but I am worried I have messed my metabolism up so that when I start eating proper food I am going to struggle big style. I understand from the programme that it can heighten metabolism with clever timing and help with leptin too which is connected – I would love to be able to eat food again without the risk of lumping all the weight back on especially if it allows me to still drop weight easily as I still have 35 lb s to go…
Hi Joel,
The program you mention seems to make sense and quite easy to follow (with the cheat days). I’ve been putting on weight since I’m on certain medication (for already 7 yrs). So it’s a real challenge for me to get the gained weight off, because of this medication. I tried some diets, but to no avail. The weight I lost with those diets (some 2-3 kgs), returned after a couple of weeks.
You probably noticed I used kgs instead of lbs, which means I’m not from the US, nor from an English speaking country. I hope you consider my application.
I have tried countless diets, spent hundreds of pounds on supplements and spent countless days being dissappointed with my body. I have never won anything like this, i try my hardest when training giving 110% everytime and research diet plans everyday but none of them have worked. I have a real problem with motivation and i am struggling to maintain my commitment at the moment because i do not have any information about eating or when to eat which has worked or been any good.
I would really really love to win this and i would be able to get on track with my training and eating to get the results i have worked my ass off to try and get before. I want to get the body that makes people go ‘wow’ and i think that this program will help me achieve this goal.
Thanks for reading Joel.
Joel, I have found your ezine information so interesting. I am a 53, 5 ft. 9 ins., 222 lbs., small boned male. My belly measures 46 ins around. in High School I was one of the best middle distance runners in N. CA. Life, like everyone has helped me progress into the physical person above. Dieting has confused me, I have poured myself into many a diet program, only to experience what your recent ezine articles have stated, “Diets Don’t Work”! The body is a wonderful biocomputer that has fail-safe counter measures. Whether it be Leptin or the intricate conplexities of insulin in the body; cutting calories or eating special boxed diet foods will not successfully do the trick. I know, I have tried many of them only to gain it back. I have prepared myself for the necessary changes needed to develope the life skills needed to be a success. Your program will be part of my plan to be that successful person. You have expressed confidence that your plan is the comonsense approach to wieghtloss. I too am confident that this is what I need to use as am example that no matter what, you can be successful with this type of goal. Like you, I want to give back to others who have found failure and depression instead of a reduced waitline. My effort and winning your contest will be that example that even a 53 yr old dog can learn new tricks.
Hello Joel!
I have try evrything to loose 20 kg sinse I was 45 years. Now I am 60. If it will not work with cycling the carbydrates, not mix carbohydrat with fat, but protein. Protein can as well be mixed with fat. And I must eat enough evry single day. Not take away more than 500 kcal from my usually need. I will make 15 minutes high-intensity interval-based cardio each other day. If this not will take away my 20 kg obesity, then I have to live with them until I die!
love!
