i am so exhausted, both mentally and physically from the PRACTICE of healthy eating…truth is, up until a few years ago, i had no problems with weight, even as an issue..i would not worry about what i ate and had no emotional eating problems, i was just simply well balanced, it’s all i’ve ever known really…then i started following the information broadcast by media and took interest for the reasons of eliminating things we were never supposed to consume as humans…turns out that was prob the worst thing i’ve done…i have since gained weight and become obsessed with just trying to be balanced…i feel like i just want my brain to turn off from trying SO HARD not be like all the others i see around me, that are either obsessed and strict or refuse and are overweight and miserable…i would be delighted to be free from this INSANITY WITH FOOD…please help.

My husband and I have struggled with our weight our entire lives (he’s 6’1″ and 300 pounds; I am 5’1″ and 165 pounds). We have tried every diet or exercise fad there is short of taking medication/surgery. We lose weight then it always comes right back and it is so FRUSTRATING! We have two young boys that deserve to have their parents around (for many years to come) and we want to have a good active lifestyle so we can enjoy our time with them.

Listening to your webcast, reading the emails and testimonials makes us both feel that we will be able to use this to finally lose the weight FOR GOOD!

Good luck to everyone!

Hi Joel,
Finding your program at this time in my life was a God sent. I lost 56 lbs almost
15 months ago before knee replacement. I’ve found myself gaining 15 lbs back.
So depressing and now to get it off at 60 yrs old is hard. Your program has been
a world of knowledge about nutrition, your body and how to live with the D word.
It’s great to have a coach out there to look to for guidelines and tips not to
mention the recipes you gave us. It gives you the inspiration to get up and do
something about your weight with someone behind you even if it’s thru emails. THANK YOU for starting Web-Based Coaching for people like me who needed it.
A copy of the book would be awesome to reach beyond my 15 ibs. A dream
come true.
Best Wishes for Your Success, Bea

Hi Joel.
I live in uk and I’m coming up to 66 years old. I have been a big guy all my life, was a “strongest man competitor” 35 years ago, played Rugby league, have studied Karate for many years.
However, although I still work out in the gym twice a week and practice my Kata’s, since I retired, I have gained 40 lbs which aint doing my leg joints too much good.
I’d like to win a free go at this coz the pension didn’t work out too good and also to try to get my wife back to fitness again, as she is on the mend now, after 16 years of illness.

All the best to you.

Phil

Hi, Joel. I’ve been so excited since I heard about your program just over a week ago! I have less than a month until I turn the big 4-0 and I’m ready for big changes. While I’ve never really struggled with the exercise part of losing weight, it has ALWAYS been the nutrition part that holds me back. My personal experience has taught me that many “diets” out there are not practical, nor are they enjoyable. While I’ve gleaned lots of useful information from many of them, none offered me the FREEDOM like I believe Cheat Your Way Thin can; freedom to not have to count points or endless calories, freedom to not feel guilty for enjoying foods that are considered taboo on other diets, and freedom to actually enjoy the PROCESS of losing weight – not just the results. That really excites me and is something I could live with long term!

Watching my diet is mostly a mind game for me. If I know I cannot have a certain food, guess what I’m going to crave! Your program gives me HOPE in breaking that way of thinking… just knowing the day is coming up soon (not months and months down the road) when I can have that certain food again (it’s even part of the plan!) well, that makes a world of difference! The science behind it all intrigues me and I’m looking forward to learning all the details of the program and benefitting from your years of research.

Well……..I really don’t have a lot of weight to lose. In fact it’s not the numbers on the scale that I want to move it is the bit of stubborn body fat that just won’t go away! I am pretty strict with my diet I would say 90% of the time …..my 10% slip is that I like to have a small portion of red wine at dinner ( less than a serving) ….other than that I can truely say I really don’t sway from my lean proteins , tons of veggies some fruits and good fats. I probably undereat taking in approx 1600 cals……49yr, 120lb, 5’3, weight train and interval train 4 days, teach a boot camp type class (90 min) 2x’s per week and ride my bike interval fashion once a week. So I am expending plenty of calories. I feel like I am carb phobic and afraid to indulge. I would say my carb intake on a daily basis ranges 100 – 250g mostly coming from veggies and fruit , some oatmeal and some grains (very little).
I really want to break away from this strictness to some degree but want to drop some of this body fat that sits at my belly…probably only 3-5%….but it just won’t budge. I think if I am given the go ahead on incorporating these cheats I might feel better and if it accomplishes my goal in the end well it’s a win win situation.
No better time of the year than the holidays to get going on something like this.
Thanks for your consideration on awarding me one of your give aways.

I’m very interested in your program, because it seems like a solid and dependable lifestyle plan. I have a unique problem, I suppose. I am 5′ 2”, and I have a petite frame. Because of this, the fat I carry makes me look shorter and kind of chunky, when a taller person with the same percentage of fat would look relatively slim. None of the methods that I have previously used have been able to get rid of it. I’ve been trying to lose weight through exercise for the past few months, and although I have gained some muscle strength, there is no measurable fat loss. Your program is exciting to learn more about, because it is about achieving our best body in the most efficient way possible, not only through exercise, but through utilizing the body’s own mechanisms for our benefit. I think that your program will really benefit a lot of people, and, hopefully, me as well.

Hi Joel, how are you? Honestly I’ve been reading all your updates these days and I am eally impressed by the knowledge and hard work you’ve done for us. It’s great to have people like you sharing those things.
My name is Eduardo, I am 46 years old, I am police and I work 9 hours per day. I live with my three children, my wife and lately I never have time or will to do exercise. My work impedes me an adequate diet since I pend most of the time in a patrol. It is a pretty much a risked work , that’s why I think it would be great for me to be well fit. I have tried almost everything to be thin, but I always failed. Sadly I continue seeking a solición to descend of weight, but all of the programs that have tested do not work. It would be a honor for me to win one of your books since it would help me a lot in my work and in my personal life. Thank you very much for your attention. Greeting from Uruguay

Help!!! I am desperate to not put more weight on over the upcoming holiday season. I’m not terribly overweight, just pleasantly plump, but I am a very petite person and can’t afford to put on anymore weight as I have fibromyalgia and a back injury and every bit of extra weight causes even more pain!!!! I love your idea regarding CHEATING. That’s my kind of dieting – if you’ll pardon that horrible word.

I need a mentor who knows more than I do. And why wouln’t I want the gift of life!

I think Cheat Yourself Thin truly is the perfect weight loss system because it overcomes the major hindrances to keep most diets from working. First, it conquers the feelings of being deprived because you get to eat the things you love and not only does it not hurt the diet, it actually helps! Second, it addresses the real issue which is not simply calories in, calories out, but the hormonal triggers and controls that determine whether the body will hold on to fat or burn it. Finally, it has variety. In the past I have had such a hard time staying on a diet for any length of time because they get so monotonous but with the cheat days and the carb cycling, Cheat Your Way Thin defeats all the excuses I’ve used in the past to fall off the wagon. It sounds like the “perfect” diet! I need to know HOW to do this…NOW.

I am 54 hate diets. I have never dieted in my life. My problem is too much sugar all day in my tea. I seam to be addicted to the stuff, and worse than that I like my vodka and mix(usually cola some times soda water.)
i have a problem with belie fat.

Hopeless.

Beryl

Hi Joel,
I’ve lost a lot of weight on various diets over the last few years, but some of it has crept back on. To be honest I’m fed up of dieting and resticting what I eat. What you say makes a lot of sense and you have the science to back it up. I want to be able to eat what I want without worrying, knowing that my eating plan is sensible but not restrictive. I want to make the changes and be able to maintain my ideal weight, without having to deprive myself. I want to try your programme and finally put my food demons to bed!!!

I am a 38 year old, 5’7″ 180 pound male. Through dedicated exercise and healthy nutrition I have lost forty pounds over the last year. The last 2 months I have been in “plateau hell,” where my body has adapted and the scale stays still no matter the increased effort. I now am looking for something more advanced to help me with that final 10 to 20 pounds I still need to shed. Your program, including the advanced focus on the leptin hormone, as well as the intelligent use of tools like carb cycling, just might be the final stepping stone to help me truly evolve fully into my potential!

Hi Joel – I’m 30 and just had my 2nd child in July. I’m currently trying to shed the 40 lbs I gained during pregnancy (ugh!) I also have a 2 1/2 year old, and married to an attorney who works VERY LONG hours. Needless to say I don’t have much time to squeeze in a work out, or much time to cook with 2 little ones, especially when my husband is working late. Both my husband and my toddler are VERY picky eaters and I just don’t have time to make separate meals when I’m “on a diet”. In addition, because of my husband’s job I often have to go to dinner’s and events with clients, etc. I’m often at the mercy of whatever is being served at the dinner with little choice or options.

I’d love to never have to “diet” again for many reasons. It would simplify my life and make going out to events more enjoyable. I also want to teach my daughter healthy eating habits ( I don’t want her to have the same challenges and pressures I did – I want her to NEVER have to diet). I want to pass on healthy eating habits for both my children.

I think this program will offer a good solution to a busy life style by providing practical ways of eating, and “allowing” yourself to be human! Something your should be able to sustain in any situation – for the rest of your life!

I have been active on and off for years but have never managed to get my diet right. I used to rock climb 4 days a week still carried the extra weight, martial arts 5 days a week still could not loose the extra, running for hours on end – still had the belly fat. I want to win this book so I can finally win the war on carrying the extra weight around. Lately I have been on a mission to get in shape and be healthy so I can enjoy my kids more. My life is more hectic than ever so I need some help in figuring out how to eat healthy lose the weight and do it on the go.

Hi Joel, in a nut shell, I’ve been reading your posts for about the last 6 months and I am very curious about your program. I BELIEVE this is the right program for me at this time in my life I am a 42 year old mother of 3 girls 2 of them are twins there is nothing more important to me than to teach them about healthy eating and exercies at 13 and 16 this is a very important time in there lives to know that junk food is o.k once in awhile if done properly and with good nutrition. Over the past couple of years I have been very careful about what I am eating and exercising regularly however I am always craveing pizza and cookies and even though I did not indulge I have not lost a pound It is very discourageing…Please Help. Thanks for your wisdom.

This program is perfect for me for several reasons. To begin with, I feel that the ideas that it is based on are safe, scientific, and very easy to follow. I have read numberous other credible scientific papers that support the ideas that are present in this program. Secondly, as someone who has just recently overcome multiple eating disorders, I feel fortunate to say that the diet ideas that Cheat Your Way Thin is based on has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. This program means so much to me because all the fad diets on the market eventually lead to my eating disorders. I want to be able to beat my fat loss plateau through healthy means, and I feel that nothing can help me accomplish this better than Cheat Your Way Thin.

I think this may very well be the perfect program for me at this time. I have been overweight since I was a little boy. As an adult, I have been anywhere from 199 pounds to 306 pounds (at 6’2″). I am now 54 and 275 and have suffered two heart attacks in the last fourteen years and know that I need to lose weight to take the load off of my heart. After my first heart attack, I went on the Dean Ornish diet (vegetarian; 10% fat) and lost a lot of weight, but could only do it for about 18 months before I couldn’t stand it anymore. I have done Body for Life a couple of times and made progress, but it hasn’t lasted. The best thing I have ever done is kept a food journal and very carefully measured all of my food, but that is hard to sustain too. I have no problem working out hard. I work with a trainer once a week and then do my own cardio 4-5 days per week and I am religious about taking my meds and supplements. My big problem is emotional eating and craving certain foods in which I indulge too often. I also happen to be a Ph.D. chemist, so all of the information you shared on leptin makes a lot of sense to me. I think the information you have to share could very well be the key to a sustainable weight loss.

I’m Fat. Got arterial blockage. Got diabetes. Got Hypertension. Got no willpower.
Need some help. (p.s. I’m bald and ugly too.)

I am preparing for a fitness show in April. Need to lose approx 10% body fat. Not prepared to do the egg whites for breakfast, gross since I am mostly vegan. This meal plan is simply to follow and lots of variety. I attempt to maintain an alkaline diet 90% of the time. Cheat You Way Thin allows for the serious carb hits when needed but also provides an easy to follow outline with veggies, protein and fat 90% of the time. This meal plan is pretty close to what I recommend to clients currently, since it’s how I have eaten myself over the years, not for fat loss but overall health. I am thrilled to have found this mealplan to share with clients!! And for those who love recipes you have great and simple ones included! You’re the bomb Joel!

Hi Joel,

I want leptin to dominate my LIFE! I want to lose body fat & transform my body for LIFE. My metabolism is TIRED of being on the diet rollercoaster. And I’m just plain tired of CONSTANTLY being on a diet around my family & friends.

I want to Cheat my way thin for LIFE!!

Hi Joel

Thanks for all the information you sent out over the last couple of days. I found it all very interesting, especially the info on leptin, which helped me to understand what all the many diets I’ve been on through my life have done to my body. At 48 years of age, I need to lose about 15 kgs but have found it really difficult to shift the weight – and now I understand why. I am very keen to try out your programme, because I sense that it just may be the way to reclaim my life in so many ways.

I am not ready to let go of my dreams in life and just resign myself to the degeneration of ‘old age’, but want to enter my 50’s fully taking hold of all the glorious possibilities that life has to offer. I feel that getting my body into great shape would be the first step in this direction and that your programme just might be the answer that I have been looking for.

Hi Joel –

After reading about your plan, the first word that came to mind was “balanced.” In reading your description of how/why it works, it seems to be balanced in a physiological sense and it seems to be balanced mentally/emotionally because it engages you in both discipline and freedom.

I’ve been a passenger on the weight-loss rollercoaster for decades and I’ve always tried different methods of overcoming excess fat. Many plans have been doable, but not maintainable. I believe part of the difficulty for me has been the fact that a lot of plans have been “either/or.” Maybe it’s the Libra in me, but I function better when things are more balanced – the yin and the yang. When it’s one way or the other, it tends to be a short-lived process with me. If this cycling method works as well for me as those cited, I can’t imagine it not being maintainable. I’m looking forward to getting all the information (winner or not – although I LOVE winning :o) ) and thank you for the time and dedication it took to put it all together.

As a 31 yr old single, female doctor in a tiny community far north in Norway, I’ve several reasons for being genuine interested in the CYWT “science”.

1) I my self is constantly longing for a healthy life with energy and vitality to handle the challenging life is bringing, and is quite dedicated when it comes to systematic workouts and healthy nutrition. However, dreaming of a few pounds weight loss and and a more defined abdomen. The introduction mails to the CYWT program revealed a hole new way of thinking, and the studies you refer to really caught my eye.
2) My main interest in the field of medicine is above all the growing amount of lifestyle diseases, and being able to guide my patients to a healthy way of living is my biggest priority. Getting the opportunity to introduce a healthy (and pleasant) lifestyle program for weight loss (and maintenance) with a great success rate would be a gift I’d appreciate every day.
3) As a single girl I’m dreaming of meeting someone to share my life with, on the road kissing some frogs. But getting to know people better, often includes sharing a meal – and often of the “unhealthy” kind. Being abel to do this with less feeling of guilt, and most of all, without gaining the well known relation-pounds, would be such a relief to a “healthy heart”.
4) Living on an island with 350 habitants only one grocery store (closing at 4 pm), it’s hard to make good food choices without ending up with less healthy alternatives some times (or the same menu every day). With incorporated “cheating” meals and recommended carbo refill, I’ll guess the selection all of a sudden will look much better.
