Hi Joel,

The following is from my sister who is unable to get her comment uploaded to your site from hres for some unkown reason. Please consider my sister’s request. I referred to her in my post.

Thank-you,

Kathy

Hi Joel,
I am new to your program, but from what I hear from my sister Kathy, it appears to be ideal for me at this time in my life. I am an active 53 year old woman who is currently 90 pounds overweight. I have been overweight since I was 12 years old. At various times in my life I have managed to lose 50 pounds. Unfortuantely, it never lasts. I have the typical health issues that come with obesity. I am enjoying life so much since my forties. I am certainly a testament to life only gets better with age; however, my joints ache, I need a knee replacement, and I am beginning to lose energy earlier in the evening. As an assistant principal at a high school, I need all the energy I can get. As a woman who loves life, I need to be fit enough to keep the love affair going. My husband and I love to travel, and I want to stay healthy and active for him. Finally, my son is struggling with the same issue, and I need to be a role model for him. I appreciate your help and look forward to finding out more about you r program.
Thanks,
Sue

Life is Good!

I am a 52 year old woman, who at 4’10” is considered morbidly obese. I have all the medical issues that go with that — hypertension, high colesterol, type 2 diabetes. I also have chronic bronchitis/asthma. All the diets that are prescribed for these conditions seem to contradict each other. I don’t know where to start! I need a plan to follow and a place to start. I really want to be able to enjoy life and all that that entails.

Over the past years I have struggled with loving myself, being who I am, and embracing it.
About 4 or 5 months ago, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder (anorexia). I was depressed. Being ultimately stressed out led to my depression, which led my life down the wrong road.
Before I was diagnosed, I always knew I had a problem. My confidence wasn’t always so great; I always felt I could be better. I hated the way I looked, the way I felt, and what I saw. I felt I had no control over my own life. But then I thought I found a way. Controlling what I ate made me feel a little bit better. It gave me the feeling that I could do better. Unfortunately it just led to more hurt within myself. Anytime I did try to eat, I felt guilty, horrible! All I thought about were the negative effects. I want the guilt to go away. I want to have a good relationship with food. I want to become healthier in everyway!!
At this point in my life, I would love to be able to just look in the mirror, tell myself: I am who I am, you are an amazing beautiful confident person who will succeed.
I have the confidence that this program will be that specific program to do just that. Many inspirational stories get me so motivated to finish my recovery. All I need is that big push!!!

I have been searching for you for years! I am NOT kidding. A few years ago when I was dieting (again) I had my wedding anniversary and all these other things came up and my diet was very off and on. Well after all that passed I weighed myself and I had lost 10 pounds with out ever really trying! How the heck did that happen after what I ate?! It was so easy! I tried to duplicate it again and again but it never worked, how do you duplicate something that was done by accident? I didn’t have the education you have to know how to figure out what happened. I had no choice but go back to regular old dieting, which I knew in my heart was the wrong thing to do because I think that is what killed my metabolism in the first place. Over the last 2 years, no matter how much I try I just keep gaining and losing the same 3 lbs over and over. I swear it is like beating your head against a wall. Through all this failure I have continued to look for a program that is the answer to how I lost those 10 lbs. Then I found your website and read your story and research and I was like- THIS IS IT!! THIS GUY HAS THE ANSWER I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!! I need this because I don’t want to fight with my body anymore to lose weight when I KNOW it doesn’t have be that way- you can work with your body to lose weight and I believe you have created the program to finally make that possible.

I don’t know why I’m entering this contest, I’ve never won anything before. I just know that I want to lose weight. I’m really not a good dieter, I try and then I get back to my old routines. I think I eat healthy, but at night on the computer I eat junk. It’s a habit I have to break. I would just like to lose weight, be able to bend over to tie my sneakers, feel good about myself, and look good to myself and others. Thanks so much.

Joel, I think this may be a program that would work for me. I’ve been on the diet treadmill for the majority of my life and I’m still overweight. Yes, I’ve had periods of thinness (wow, those are rare!!) and I’m ready to be thin and healthy. Yes, healthy. I can lose weight and lose my health in the process. I’m tired of empty promises and no success. Joel, help….lol. Yes, I still have my sense of humour through all of this. The final heartfelt bottom line for me is I’m ready to look in the mirror and really like the person that’s looking back!! Thank you, Joel.

hi joel, i’m not sure if your plan would work for me since i’m a vegetarian trying to be vegan but i have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand and the muscles in my hand and arm are starting to atrophy and i need to build them back up and lose about 20-25 pounds of fat, so if you think this would work, please consider me.

thanks, irian

Dear Joel,

I am desperate to lose weight. All my life I have been overweight, and have tried more diet plans that even exist I believe. Everything from a three month juice fast during which I lost 80 lbs, only to regain all and more when I went back to regular eating, to every other “plan” I could find out about. Always some weight loss, followed by weight regain. I am now 75 years old, and really need to lose weight to regain my health. Somehow, your “cheating” plan sounds like something I could manage. I could have the foods I crave without destroying my weight loss. I would be even more motivated by receiving the program as a special gift.

Hi joel. I hv tried so many diets but nothing actually worked I even did exercises but they too were useless my weight is 160 lbs and ma target weight is 120 lbs I need to achive this goal by january as its my frend s wedding I hope to win a free copy as I will not be able to pay for ever n ever for this copy to help mme achieve my goals. t.hx jaya

An Ode to Joel

This program will be great for me I must say,
As throughout my life I’ve not kept my weight at bay
Weight Watchers, Atkins, SouthBeach and more
They work for a bit but I always lose the war

Through the years of dieting I’ve put on a lot of weight
Even losing 20, 30, or 40 pounds would be great
My weight loss struggles have made me lose my mind
And now here you come, oh what a find

Cheat Your Way Thin sounds like just my thing
I know I’ll stick with it and look awesome come Spring
No more starving myself only to fail
Strategic cheating is why I know I’ll prevail

My Leptin levels will stay high through the week
Oh how I will love the days that I cheat
Strategic Carb cycling is what I will do
I will eat a plate of pasta….or maybe even two

No more cravings and cravings and cravings galore
a screeching halt my metabolism will come to no more
With Cheat Your Way Thin I shall not be defeated
My energy will no longer feel so depleted

Oh how I can’t wait to start changing my ways
I know with Cheat Your Way Thin I will have better days
Thank you for creating this outstanding plan Joel
I know with your help that I will reach my goal

After reading your emails for the past 6 days, who wouldn’t want to put your strategy to work for themselves! I am 67 years old and have found that in the last 3 or 4 years I can’t seem to lose the Belly Fat, no matter what I do! I see your strategy as being my literal lifesaver! Thank you for offering Cheat Your Way Thin Holiday Edition at this time. It will make the perfect gift!

Hi Joel,
I am a personal fitness trainer. Working out for me is second nature….however, the diet part of it has always mystified me. I know what is healthy to eat and what is not healthy to eat, but I am so excited by your articles about leptin and strategic carb consumption…I want to know all about it! I never had a problem w/ my weight until having 2 kids and then trying to get it OFF. I haven’t found a program that works for me or that I can stick with. But I am ready to make a change and be successful! And then my clients will see my transformation and I can share with them how I did it…with your help!!! Thank you!

Hi Joel,

I think I need this program because I would really love to learn how to make my body work for me without feeling deprived of certain foods. I do love sweets. In my thirties I had no problem being more careful of what I ate and managed to maintain a healthy dress size for myself while still being a little jiggly. Now that I’m in my forties and that my 1st baby is 3 1/2 and I’m 2 dress sizes larger than I used to be I’m a little tired of being careful all the time. So for the past 3 years i’ve gained and lost the same 7 lbs and am still in the same dress size. I would love to lose the 2 dress sizes and dare I say be more toned all over. It seems with all the programs I’ve tried I am becoming more complacent with this weight and dress size and I really don’t want to be. I am an exerciser but I just seem to sabotage myself constantly when it comes to foods. It would be great to have it all. To have my cake and eat it too…Literally!! Thanks for considering me.

Hi Joel!

I downloaded the CYWT Program Manual many months ago and have finally decided the timing is right to take the plunge and follow the plan – unfortunately Thanksgiving is only 6 days away and then all the holiday parties and such to follow. I’ve convinced myself I just need to get started, but think “am I crazy to start now? Maybe I should just wait till after the holidays”? Well, I decided to go for it and ordered my items from Prograde and suddenly you started sending emails about making it through the holidays – what a great deal for me! I am someone who does best with a plan and your day by day holiday plan may just put me over the top – I was committed to CYWT already and know with your holiday black book I will be even more successful through this tough holiday time!
Thanks!

I am about 20 pounds overweight. I cycle, go to spin classes and occasionally lift weights. I have tried many diets but give up when I do not see the changes in my body that I expect. I do not care about the number on the scale, I just want to loose the fat. No mater what I do, I stay about the same. I am almost 50. Even though I want this program for me, I want it even more for my daughter. She is in her twenties and considered obese by medical terms. She has watched me change my diets and get active with no great improvements. Yes I am healthier, but I am still overweight. To her, actions talk louder than words and my actions have not proven anything. I believe your program could be the one that would actually show results. It would also appeal to my daughter, who is a picky eater. She could still eat her favorite foods. If I could prove to her your program works by losing the fat, then I know I could get her to do it also. She is too young and has too much of her life ahead of her to be so overweight. I really worry about her health. Because of that, I will most likely purchase your program anyways, but it would really be nice to get it for free!

Hi Joel,

I feel this is the just the program for me at this time because I’ve had success before with your program but I’m really struggling of late. I just can’t find the magic to get it together lately. I was one of the people in your trial group at Tnation. The program worked then but I’ve lost the magic now. I need to lose about 20 lbs and this program I know will work for me. I just need that extra guidance that this program will give me. This is why I have to get access to this program again Joel.

Thank you,

Jason

Finally a programme that sounds like it’s realistic for a lifelong change, and suitable for my whole family!!! I am so fed up with diets that are impossible to keep to for any length of time and unhealthy in the long term also (especially for my children).
It’s important for us to eat together as a family, especially on the Sunday, with a traditional Irish fried breakfast and a roast dinner later in the day followed by a home made pudding of some kind. It’s a country tradition and family tradition so if this can be fitted into the ‘cheat your way thin’ programme, then happy days.

I WANT THIS PROGRAM! The carb cycling is genius. I am a 27 year old female Performance Enhancement Trainer and I have been looking for the best nutritional plan to implement with my clients! I have lost 10 lbs of pure fat (3% bodyfat) just by reading your posts and blogs in the past 3 weeks. THe holiday system would arm me with the knowledge and the tools to not only help me but all of my clients. I would recommend them to purchase their own copy! That way its a win win situation for everyone. WHO WOULDNT WANT TO LOOK GREAT FOR ALL THEIR HOLIDAY PARTIES?

Hi There,

Thank you for the opportunity to win your Holiday edition of Cheat Your Way Thin. I’ll be brief. I am a carb addict and I don’t have a sweet tooth, I have a whole mouthful of sweet teeth!!! I am 48 years old and in pretty darn good shape (I can run circles around my teenage girls!!). I am 5’2″ and weigh between 120-125 pounds, depending on the day. I lift weights faithfully and do cardio 3-5 days/week. In fact, I’m not dissatisfied with the shape and size of my body, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the WAY IT LOOKS (cellulite, not enough muscle definition, etc). Do you think it would help the texture and consistency of my body? I would be excited to try your program and see if it would solve this problem for me!! Thank you for your time and consideration.
Thanks, Felecia =)

Did you get my prior comment?

At 57 years of age, I am in the position of raising another family, my 4 year old grandchild. Having recently been told by my physician that I have a 30% chance of having a major heart attack due to my high blood pressure (unaware of) and my high cholesterol (aware of), I knew that I could no longer put off getting into shape and watching my eating “someday”. Someday has arrived. I need to be around for a long time for my granddaughter!!

Hi Joel, I am extremely interested in your program to assist me as I work through dealing with a fibromyalgia diagnosis. As the muscles haven’t allowed me to do much physical, I have gained 40 pounds while waiting for an actual diagnosis. I have started a treatment program with meds and a very slow beginning with getting the muscles back in order. Meaningful excercise is a long way off, and it is very difficult to not continue to gain weight let alone lose it! I have found your letters very interesting and logical, and believe a program like yours may help me through this long recovery period and assist me in being healthier and stronger when I am able to exercise to lose weight. As I just started walking without the cane, I am enthusiastic about incorporating a food program that is productive to my body without starving it. I appreciate your considering me for a free copy of the book and will continue to learn from your emails and articles.

I am 51 year young female (HT 5″ 5′ and 160 lbs)and i have been really good about exercising everday( biking and walking) I try to do some strength trainiing every other day.I try to eat healthy and limit my portions . I feel like i had made much progress. There must be a simple component or connection between eating and exercising that Ii am am not aware of . This might be the missing link that I am seeking. This would be an idea program for me to share with my family and friends and ohter people.

Thank you!!!!!!

I need something but have tried a lot of things. I am 60 and it is difficult to take off weight. It never use to be but is now. I never seem to be able to lose more than 5 pounds and hang there at about 158. I should be 135 to140. I would be willing to try this one as well and if it actually works, and reason says it does, I would be thrilled.

I won’t joke at this time, but I need some strategy and guidance right now. I am 52 and am struggling with my weight. First time, nope, just have some added issues, like going thru the changes that seem to be hampering my progress, plus the fact I have just been sidelined for the past 10 weeks only to find out I have cyst on my back and will have to live with the numbness and tingling now. I have been quite active the last 17 years of my life and now I have to re-think things with my lifting and cardio and definately eating to accomodate the back issue. I am ready for some new pointers and strategy. I have been seeking a new program and re-thinking the way I am eating and now is a great time to get this working for me again. I have always done this on my own, but now I think I could use some help and some extra coaching.

Thanks for reaching out to us all.

Karen
