Hi Joel,
I would love to win your book as I really need to lose about 35-40 pounds and get my metabolism working so I won’t need to take medication for it. alleluia!
I just can’t lose and really need help in what and when to eat. Besides my husband thinks all these diets are a waste. I sure would like to prove him wrong this time. By the way he also needs to lose about 35 pounds. This way of eating certainly sounds great. Thanks Eleanor
I would like to try Cheat your way Thin because I think it is the only practical approach that I’ve seen. Meaning that it is something everyone can do. I am 65 and a little overweight. I have a heart condition and desire to be at a healthy weight and reset my metabolism to counteract the changes that seem to occur with age. I can do workouts, but I have more limitations than those a little younger. I have a strong belief that we don’t need to fall apart as we age, and I want to prove that a person can be at a healthy weight and fit at any age in any culture. My husband teaches nutrition at a local college and has many Native American students that seem to be prone to diabetes and weight problems with the typical western diet. I know he would like additional information to make sure he is steering his students in the right direction.
I’m tired of being fat. ‘Nuff said.
Ok, here it is, short and sweet. I saw in my Doctors notes the words morbidly obese. I’m one of those Americans they show on TV that everyone watching thinks, glad I’m not THAT fat. Well, I am that fat and I know myself well enough to know I’m not going to stick to a strict diet for more than a few days. (That’s why I’m morbidly obese!) and that’s why I need your program. Joel thanks for the opportunity to change my doctor’s notes!
Hi Joel:
I have been doing a hybred version of your program (without knowing it was your program) for a couple of months now. I came across this via Maru dePasquale and later Vince del Monte and Jon Benson. I am at my lowest body weight in the last 25 years! I work out all the time…compete in powerlifting…and have been amazed that I have lost very little strength while going almost 20 lbs below my previous competition weight.
For the past 22 years, I have regularly competed in the 181 and 198 pound weight classes. Getting to the lower weight class was always a difficult proposition. I would cut down wrestler style (sauna) at the last minute, and pop back up to around 190-200 shortly after the contest. These days I hop out of bed and jump on the scale at 170!!!!! On Dec 5 I will compete at 165 lbs! I am blown away with how strong I am, and how well defined!
One other stat that you may find interesting. On my next birthday, I’ll be 70. I have been lifting weights since 1955, and have competed in eight different sports over my lifetime… With this diet program, I may give senior bodybuilding a try next year..
Cheers

Hi, I’m 49 & have had weight struggles since I was 4 years old. I have tried numerous diets & in 2002 even under went gastic bypass surgery. I went from 285 to 140 in about a year & then started having lots of pain-I ended up with a twisted & blocked intestine & had to have surgery again -even though my insides are still bypassed the “stomach area increased & I was able to eat -not as much-but still too much. I realize that with that surgery you are basically starving yourself -so I made matters worse with that choice. Leptin- what an amazing discovery! I thought I’d have to do extreme low carb to have any weight come off– except — I get a pasta craving once or twice a week!My husband & I have been married for almost 5 years now. In that time I have gained back 80 lbs! My husband too-he has gained 100 lbs himself. With the CYWT program I think I could really incoporate that into our lives with the ability to have those “cheat” days so that we could do this together.
Thank you for not only sharing the progam but, also for your time to read this.
Hey Joel,
I am 21 and I grew up very obese (At my peak I was around 300 lbs.) and over the past 3-4 years I have lost over 100 lbs. by gathering research, workout plans, and advice from other peers and fitness professionals and flat out busting my butt. I now weigh 180 and I am very please with my progress, but I want to take the next step to truly get the body I have always wanted to achieve. I feel that I need direct advice and plans on someone who has the type of body I want to get. I don’t ever want to go back to the way I was and I only want to keep progressing. I have recently found myself unable to avoid cravings, and it only frustrates me when I stick to a clean diet for the week and mess it up on one day. If I had the tools of CYWT I would know when to properly utilize cheat days to my advantage. I have always wanted to see my abs, and have never had a flat stomach since I was a small child, it is one of my life long goals to be able to look in the mirror one day and see that. Thanks for all your advice and blogs Joel, they are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Alvarez
Hello Joel,
I’m a 54 year old male. Most of my life has been spent doing some type of exercising. Over the past decade things fell off. To make a long story short, about 4-5 yrs ago I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I also have high cholesterol and very high triglycerides. I’m on a number of medications for above issues. I also have sleep apnea besides a number of continual body aches/joint issues. Within the last three months I finally had enough and started back into a regular execrise routine. I have made a committment to myself and my wife to be off all medication by end of Dec 2010. Weight loss has always been a problem but I’m not excessively overweight. I believe your information will be a significant key factor in meeting my 2010 goal.
Another goal is to complete the 300 workout in less than 20 min by Dec 2010.
Thanks for having the free give-away.
Best regards,
Mike Major
At the age of 51 and carrying about 45 lbs of excess weight, I need to lose some. As with everyone I have a busy schedule. I have recently re-started an exercise program but I need to properly fuel the process. I think your explanations have been useful and think this program could be just what I need to achieve my goals.
Thanks

Hi Joel,
I would just like to add a little to my previous comment. I think this program would be great for me because #1 it fits with many of the things I’ve been learning about hormones, etc, but mainly I would like to achieve my goals with an easier social setting where I’m not bombarded all the time by comments, “Oh that’s right you don’t eat any sweets..etc.” All my friends just think it is impossible to get fit at our ages and that it’s just beyond them, so why try! I would like to be a model of hope for my peers, who have given up and just think it is too late at this point in life! Goodness! I’m only 65!
Hi Joel,
After many years of yo yo dieting and ending up weighing more after each diet, I gave up. I decided to stay at that high weight as I had heard how hard it was on my body to continue the yo yo dieting. I am frustrated to be at the weight I am but each time I even consider trying one of the numerous diets out there I catch myself eating more of the foods they would deprive me of. Your program sounds like something I could stick with and have great results. I am very thankful for you for making this program available. May God bless you for all the help and hope you have given many of us.
I am a 33 year old mother of 6 and wife of an owner of a small health food store. My weight problems started as a child, but through exercise and eating less, I was able to lose the extra. I struggled somewhat to maintain a good weight through high school, but stayed in a 15 pound window. Then, I got married and began to have babies. That began the struggle in earnest to be at a healthy weight and maintain it between pregnancies. I have tried many different methods of losing weight, and some succeeded for awhile, but none were enjoyable. I have never found the right exercise routine (not taking too much time, and effective) to prevent much loss of muscle. Two years after my last child (before whom I was happy with my weight), I quickly gained 20 lbs without changing anything. I dread to begin dieting yet again, and having to avoid what I feed my family, so I keep putting it off. Your program sounds like it would be so much more enjoyable and effective than anything I have tried so far. I would love to be able to fit in my “normal clothes” again and have a strong body that can keep up with my busy family! We would definitely share any success I experience with our customers, friends, and family! Thank you for offering this contest. :-)
Joel,
I post this not for myself, but for my wife – hope that’s “in-bounds”. She’s a busy executive and a mom, and with all the responsibilities implied therein, has relegated her fitness needs to the bottom of the priorities list. This sort of sacrifice takes its toll. She’s not happy with her body, and my attempts to coach her gently through this haven’t really paid off – she doesn’t have the same patience as I do to wade through the seas of conflicting fitness and nutrition data . I love her, and I want her to be happy with herself again, which is why I turn to you. I think the ease and simplicity of this program is just the thing to get her back on track. I’ll probably pick it up for her regardless of winning a free copy or not, but I’m entering anyway. The price is certainly right…
Best,
Chris
Hi, I’m a university student, and I’ve been finding your emails very helpful in educating about ways to live a healthier life. In high school, I fell into the trend of eating all those crappy low-calorie frozen lunches in an attempt to lose weight. Obviously, those did nothing for me. In the meantime, I’ve been able to overcome many of the body issues that most teens have, and now I’d just like to have more guidance on eating well and exercising right. I really did gain the freshman fifteen from all the stress, but even though I’m coping with the pressure much better now, I still haven’t been able to lose the extra pounds. I’ve been transitioning to low-carb dieting and saw pretty good results, but I’m definitely ready to take it to the next level. I would definitely appreciate this confidence-booster.
I know my mother would benefit very much as well. As a single mom with 3 kids, she’s always been busy for others and hasn’t really had the time to take care of herself. I would love to do this program together with her.
Anyways, thanks for your great website.

The Cheat Your Way Thin program is a PIECE OF SANITY! I have tried extreme diets of various kinds, including virtually no carbs (which left me desperate for vegetables and fruit, without shedding more than two pounds in a month). I also tried a program of eating only soups and bars supplied by a company for three months, which was effective but I often felt lonely and sad sitting with my sparkling water or packet soup, while friends were celebrating with a special meal or enjoying my favourite dishes. And it wasn’t easy to make the transition into real-life eating.
The problem with any extreme diet is
a) that it is hard on the body in some way, and
b) that it can’t be sustained.
I can’t believe my good fortune in learning about Cheat Your Way Thin. The science is sound, and explains why it’s been such a struggle to lose fat. The result of the understanding about Leptin means that I can apply the principles in a flexible, SANE manner! I don’t have to deny myself anything that I really love, and it’s easy to be specific about the different kinds of days.
I am going to the Canary Islands with friends over Christmas and had dreaded putting on weight. Now I’m eager to see The Holiday Edition and exactly how you have planned this season for the almost-unbelievable promise of fat loss while never missing a party!
I have been battling with my weight for years. I work out 5 days a week and eat very healthy and can’t seem to get where I want to be. I gain 10 then get it off then gain 10 again and get it off, etc. And when I get 10 off, I still have “love handles” which I can’t seem to get rid of. I live where we do outdoor summer activities and I don’t feel comfortable in my bikini so I have to wear shorts to cover my love handles up. I would love to be able to do a new program where I can eat sensibly but yet eat what I want ocassionaly too. I am tired of feeling depressed and not being able to go out to dinner and eat what I want. I’m looking forward to seeing how this program works so I can enjoy dinners out once in awhile and get that last 5-10 pounds off.
Wow Joel,
Alot of emails to contend with! I would deeply appreciate a free copy of your program because of just recent, I have been gaining approx. 2lbs. per wk.
I workout 4 times per wk. & can’t seem to gain any contol back! Please help me.
Your program seems to make alot of sense in todays fast-paced world, with scientific evidence behind it. I am dedicated to a program once I start it. I would gladly send you before & after pictures if you pick me. Thankyou, Dianne.
Joel,
I really need CYWT because…………here is where my mind goes blank. I am 42 years old and 70 pounds overweight. I have struggled to lose this weight for more than 15 years now. I have been partially successful a couple of times, losing as much as 30 pounds, only to have life get in the way and have it all come back with a few pounds more each time. Why? because while I can eat a strict diet and follow an exercise routine with moderate success, I can never shake the “voices”. Those thoughts that say, “this will never end”, “you will never enjoy eating again”, “all pleasure is gone from your life forever”. Then it happens, 2 martinis, half a pizza, and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. Then the OTHER voices…..”you are a loser”, “you will never do this”, “You may as well give up and have the OTHER half of the pizza, and long as you have blown it, give up and eat what ever you want”. Now I am defeated. Now I give up on myself. Because I have ruined all of my hard work. Like an alcoholic that has just fallen off the wagon, my ALL OR NOTHING thinking sends the needle on the scale soaring to new heights. That’s why I need CYWT….because I am a perfectly normal but flawed human being that needs hope, that needs pleasure, and needs the ability to forgive myself for not being perfect. This program can bring balance to my thinking and allow me to accept that my primitive human physiology doesn’t understand that I need to lose weight, it just wants steak because my next successful hunt could be 2 weeks away. I prefer to think of CYWT as EAT you way thin. Because that is all I really want is life….just to have my cake….and EAT it too.
Thanks Joel….
I have been overweight for years and tried every diet, exercise plan known to man. I need for health reasons to drop the weight but haven’t been able to do it. Your plan sounds like it was meant for me and would like to give it a shot but I don’t think that I can afford to pay for it and if I could win it it probably would save my life. I don’t know if it is possible but I pray the lord will grant me this opportunity. Thank you for listening.
It is very obvious that lifestyle has a major impact on the last years of life & I want to be healthy to enjoy it. I am now in my 50’s & have been searching for a lifestyle that I can live with & promotes health.
A few years ago, it took me 18 months to lose 18 lbs with exercise & portion control – I have no will power to refuse “verboten” foods so did not even try to change my diet but tried to control portions. (I was also very aware of the yo-yo effects of diets.) I eventually lost 30lbs & have gained about 15 lbs back, & now it’s even harder to get rid of fat, especially the abdominal fat that has showed up.
I think your theories & ideas make a lot of sense, but I am very skeptical about the outcomes – ?losing weight over the holidays?? it sounds way too easy, like those other diet schemes that guarantee weight loss, or the financial “too good to be true” schemes. They also have lots of testimonials. I would like to try your plan to see if it really does work.
I am a young mom who has a family who can and needs to eat foods so they can gain weight. I don’t need that but it can be hard when it is always around. I would love an option to know that I can eat some of those food I adore and still maybe take some weight off and learn to live in a maintenance lifestyle that I can support too. I would love and be honored to have the chance to use this program to find that balance I so desperately need.
Hi Joel,
I just had my fist child this year and I love being a new mom. I am really frustrated though because I look around me in malls and such and see other new moms who clearly didn’t gain as much weight as I did during pregnancy. They are in their tight jeans with shirts tucked in and no muffin top overflowing their waistbands. Then I look down at myself and I’m embarrassed because I am still wearing my maternity pants and an oversized sweatshirt in order to hide my unsightly belly bulge.
I’ve been working out and trying to eat “right” but to no avail. It is so unmotivating to literally be starving yourself and exercising daily only to find no movement on the scale or difference in the way your clothes fit.
I think your program sounds extremely exciting and promising. With your step by step guidance I believe that a lifestyle change will be achieved. And that is what is so exciting, it is a lifestyle, not just a temporary diet where results can be reversed.
I would love the opportunity to begin your system and be an advocate promoting your program and all the research and work you’ve put in to so selflessly help others achieve their goals. I’d love to show all new moms and others that it is possible to return to a pre-pregnancy size or that it is possible to achieve your weightloss goals all the while enjoying the foods we have come to know and love.
Thanks for your consideration.
Hi Joel
Thank you for sharing the information on your new diet in the e-mail series that I’ve been receiving in previous days. You have convinced me that this could be the absolute perfect life changing program, based on scientific evidence. I now about Leptin, and everything you’ve said makes a lot of sense. As a physician, I deal every day with patients wanting to loose weight and keep it off (which has always been the most difficult part). After I read your book, I will certainly recommend it to all of my patients.
I personally do not have a weight problem, but I’ve always instinctively managed my weight by doing what you say in your newsletters. Having your book on hand, will be very easy for me to advise the patients and encourage all of them to purchase your book.
Thanks!
I have struggled with weight all my life. I have tried just about every diet that there is…I finally thought I had it all under control – all I had to do was eat and I wouldn’t put on weight…then two years ago I got divorced and turned to comfort eating…up I went 25lbs! I started exercise classes and lost a little…then my trainer gave me your website and though it sounds too good to be true, if I were given the opportunity I would follow it diligently in the hopes of slimming down and regaining my life again…
