Hi Joel
I have tried just about every diet known to man. I had the best results on Fabrice Rinaldi’s 1 rep fitness, but have hit a platue that I just can’t seem to get over. This would be a two for one deal for me and my wife. We are on the same page with our fitness and diet. We work out daily and eat pretty strict diets. So when someone comes along and says that you can eat the things that are strictly OFF and completely forgien to our way of eating it is just too hard to believe. We would both like to take things to the next level, and would love to put your experiment to the litmus test of real life.
I lost 100lbs through hard work and tons discipline/sacrifice. I gave up all the foods I loved. I managed to maintain this for 2 yrs. Last November I hit a major wall. I gained 15lbs during the holiday season. Why? Because for 2 yrs I completely stopped enjoying foods that I loved. Truth is.. I don’t think you can live the way I was living long term. Some can, I’m sure, but I love food and want to be able to enjoy it. Cheat Your Way Thin will allow me to do this all while losing weight. Without this system I believe I’m destined to gain all my weight back. Now we’re heading into the holidays again and now I know that I will have the tools through Cheat Your Way Thin holiday edition to prepare me to not only NOT gain weight this year, but to LOSE what I gained last year!!!!
Good morning Joel!!
There have been so many pop-ups, emails, articles, diet pills, and other diet information that I have tried or passed by that just have not worked. When I found out about your book and the other information that comes along with it, i could not believe that I found exactly what I was looking for. Some people say that it is simple to lose weight and for those people, the weight and flab jsut falls off of them. THat is not the case for me!! I think your book will really help me to get on the right track of losing my excess weight and inches. After just reading about the book I felt more confident about getting myself on the right track to better my health and feel better about myself. With my busy lifestyle and career, it is hard from me to have an eating routine. I am usually all over the place with meals and sometimes do not have access to the healthiest foods. I think your book will really help me in both the short and long run. Thanks so much and enjoy your Holiday season!
I have been reading your posts and I find the program very intriguing. I’ve read and tried every program I can get my hands on. Including your Weight Training/Cardio combo training as you proposed in an earlier post before work. This seems to be effective on time constraints and overall body strengths. And I enjoy doing it! Which is a great! But I’m still missing something.
I have never been able to loose weight. I was a dancer and runner in high school, rec. runner in college and I’ve worked out consistently since then. I’ve tried a variety of exercises with diets and specific personal trainers for each. – Running, Kickboxing, Boxing, Power Yoga and Weight Trainers. I’m 42, small frame, 5’3 and 160lbs. I’ve tried all diets and felt the best on Atkins although I did not loose any weight on Atkins. I have recently found out I’m Celiac and that would explain why I felt the best without the wheat. Having to avoid all glutens is incredibly restrictive in our society. Being celiac I eat a very “clean” basic diet yet still no weight loss or body fat comp changes. What am I doing wrong?
25 days ago I got the flu followed by post flu pneumonia. I’m on my third round of antibiotics and steroids. I really miss going to the gym and being active. When I kick this, I would love to become a poster girl for your program.
Dear Joel,
I am 49 years old and until the age of 19 I was always thin. After the loss of my mother and having to raise 4 younger brothers on my own was when all of a sudden my weight became an issue. I have done yo yo dieting and never managing to keep the weight off no matter how hard I have tried. I can’t tell you the amount of money that has been spent but I’m sure you can guess on that one. My youngest daughter is 19 years old and I see her struggling with her weight and it just breaks my heart because I can give her no guidance since nothing else has worked for me. Having the opportunity to use your program would benefit not only myself but my daughter as well.
Take care!
I’m a 50 year old mother of four who weighs twice what I should. Because of my weight, I’m now a hypertensive diabetic, not yet on insulin, but that’s coming soon, I’m sure. I’ve always been heavy-ish, but childbirth and a case of postnatal depression that’s never fully gone away have well and truly done me in. I could be a dietician, I know so much about what I should eat. It’s the doing it that eludes me. People talk about the yo yo effect—ha! I never manage to stick to a plan long enough to start the process. The best I’ve done is maintain a steady weight for the last 10 years.
For me, losing weight is like a long mountain climb up a rock-strewn path. I’ve slipped and fallen so often, I’ve created an impact crater. What are my “rocks? Comfort eating (not always sweet things), large portions, don’t like many vegetables, no energy to exercise. I finally got so tired of falling that I’ve pretty much decided to stay in the crater. If I don’t try, I can’t fail, can I? I’m slowly killing myself right now and seem helpless to do anything about it.
Imagine how appealing your system sounds to me—I can still eat the foods I enjoy, I don’t have to deny myself for long at a time, and it fits with what I’ve learned about the chemistry of food in our bodies. I think I can do this. Can you help?
I never really struggled with my weight before, but for the past several years it has become increasingly difficult to lose or even maintain my weight. Despite adopting better eating habits and exercising regularly I continue to struggle. Additionally, my husband, who is 33, was diagnosed two years ago with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He too, stuggles with his weight. It is imperitive for both of us to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Whether we live another year or another 50 years, I want each and every day we spend on this earth to be healthy. I can’t bear the thought of either of us suffering from preventable diseases. I want us to enjoy all of our days together, no matter how many or how few there are! Thanks!!
Joel,
I recently decided to take my health much more seriously as I get older. I used to could eat the worst diet and not gain an ounce. Definitely not the case anymore. I have read every study on diets that you can name and truly believe that the ” Cheat your way thin ” diet has a lot of merit. The science backs you up. I quit smoking 4 weeks ago and am scared to death that I will gain the 30 – 40 lbs., everyone I know who has quit smoking, has gained. My goal is to stop smoking and lose 50 lbs, so getting through the Holiday season without the extra 15 lbs is more critical than ever. Thank you for all you do.
At 37 and having tried a great deal of different ideas over the last 5 years, I am stubbornly stuck at 26% body fat, its all round my gut ! I feel the advice is concrete but I am in neeeeeed of specifics, to follow. I love food and desperately need to find a balance, I work out 4 times a week, tennis once and tae kwon-do twice and yet this last 10-15lbs just wont budge, if this plan could help that devilish weight to dissipate it would be a living proof of the knowledge and applied science you possess !
I remember ripping pages out of exercise magazines at age 16 and making calendar after calendar of what workout I was going to do and what day. Then ANOTHER calendar of what I was going to eat on each day. I thought with all these workouts and diet foods lined up for me to follow, I would surely succeed. As you can imagine, I wasn’t able to stick to these extremely strict strategies for long, and I am today sitting here 60 pounds overweight.
My approach has usually been very organized and laid out—that’s my personality. However, my diet and exercise plans always left out the things I enjoyed most: the food I loved (which ultimately was the reason I failed on literally ALL of those plans) and the activity I enjoyed doing.
I have never been so EXCITED about something as I have been all week reading about your program. Could it be? Finally a change I can incorporate INTO my life, instead of trying to change my life to fit the program? What could be better than giving me a CALENDAR of what to eat and what days, INCLUDING my favorite foods? My approach has always been extreme, but your plan shows me I don’t have to go to those extremes to get the results I want. That I don’t have to cut out the foods I love. That this isn’t just another diet program. That this can be my new way of life. Thank you!
Sorry if I’m a little skeptical, but I’ve tried so many diets and different combination ways of eating only to lose about 5lbs and then hit a plateau. I’m 59 years old and have about 40lbs to lose. I’m considered a health nut by all my friends and family, so you would think I would be thin, not so. I’m pre-diabetic and carry most of my weight around my middle. I truly need to shed this weight for health reasons.
Because, if things don’t change – they stay the way they are.
First of all, I have been dieting for most of my life. This summer, I turned 50 years old. I am 5’1″, I exercise for one hour four to five times a week. My routine is getting dull and it’s no longer doing anything for me. Lately, I can’t seem to get enough food into my mouth. I have that bloated feeling all the time. I figure if I can follow some kind of eating regime that includes cheat days, I should be fine. I need to lose at least 30 to 40 pounds. Help!
Hi Joel,
I have been struggling with losing weight for the last 2 years. I have had some success but nothing major. I still need to lose about 60 pounds. My biggest problem with any diet is getting my wife on board with it. She also needs to lose a lot of weight but it’s very hard for her to stick to a restrictive diet. I am very worried about her health right now. This program would be one that her and I can do together because I know it is something she can do since it incorporates the foods that we love to eat. It would also be very easy to follow because everything is laid out and organized, which is something we both need.
46 years old and 70 lbs overweight, I’ve tried it all, or so it seems. I lost 20lbs this year with outrageous, hard-to-sustain effort. I’m struggling to keep it off, but determined. So I keep trying. I’m not saying weight loss should be easy, but it shouldn’t be THIS hard. So many people and companies prey on and make millions off those of us in desperate need of real solutions while we continue to fight and claw to find success. I feel as though I’m right at the edge, right at the dividing line between finally, once and for all, getting this weight off and living in such a way that I can sustain my loss and be both happy and healthy, or never getting it off. In truth, I’ll never give up, but the idea of muddling my way through, killing myself to lose a few pounds, then gaining back more, for the rest of my life is nauseating. I not only want to Cheat MY Way Thin, I also want to cheat destiny and prevent my prediabetes from becoming full-blown diabetes. I want a long and high-quality life, for me and my family. Sometimes the best approach is the simplest one. Your email blasts have already shown me that I need to unlearn some habits developed through many years of misinformation. Based on your FAT LOSS SECRETS EXPOSED and your brief videos, I think CHEAT YOUR WAY THIN may be the tool to my ultimate weight loss success.
Hi Joel
Since my teens, I have gained and then lost 10-20 pounds several times. Most times, I’ve lost weight as a New Year’s resolution, using low calorie diets, then have gone overboard and regained the weight during summer vacations. I try to get back to healthier eating, but cheat on weekends and then give up, thinking I’ve ruined all my efforts. Your structured approach to cheating is just what I need to keep me on track!
These frequent weight fluctuations are very unhealthy and I need to find a better way. I am also concerned that my weight has begun to settle in mid-section as I age (I’m 44), which will likely cause me to develop diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease like many of my relatives.
You program just makes sense for me. I need better nutrition in the form of protein and healthy fats, with higher quality carbs than the processed junk so many Americans eat every day. But, I also need to splurge on occasion, without feeling I’ve ruined all my efforts. I feel certain CYWT will help me lose those extra 15 pounds and improve my overall health and appearance for good.
Thank you.
I downloaded your “Black Book” Report last Thursday. I was able to share your helpful hints with my daughter when I accompanied her to the doctors that afternoon. She had scheduled an appointment and was considering the lap belt for weight loss. She is desperate to lose but was told not to expect more than about a 40% loss. The experience was very negative and she is at a loss of how to reach a normal weight. I am in my mid 60’s and like her, have tried everything with no lasting success. Your method sounds like something that we can live with. I have been anxiously receiving your posts each day and am encouraging her to begin this lifestyle change with me as soon as we have all the information. I am convinced that this will be the vehicle that will help us both succeed and give us a healthy lifestyle that we can maintain for life. I can’t wait to begin the journey!
Hi Joel, thanks for the very interesting & informative newsletters. I am a 45 yr. old man in need of a fat loss program that really works. One that deals with hormonal issues & not counting calories or some fad. I have tried many others & have come to the conclusion that my metabolism is resistant to loosing fat. Now about me , i am 5-11 weigh 315 lbs. — my job is somewhat sedentary, i do exercise – not as vigorously as i would like do to hip & ankle issues ( probably could be diminished with weight loss ). I have no doubt that i could stick to your diet plan. It would be easy compared to some of the other diets ive stuck out & got no results. I eat a clean diet – mostly organic, but weight loss is still a mystery to me. I also have a 16 yr. old son whos a varsity football player, who sadly enough inherited my metabolism. He has worked out intensely all summer long & lost no weight. We are really strugling to unlock the secret to our weight loss. Please Help. Thank you.
Joel, I have spent a good part of the last week reading your materials, and believe that your program is just what my wife needs to get off the plateau she has been stuck at for the past five months. Over the past two and a half years, she has already lost over 70 pounds through hard work, and portion control, but recently she has run into a plateau that she cannot seem to overcome. Your program looks like a perfect solution that will enable her to break through this barrier and lose that “last” 10 -15 pounds. We are big on entertaining, especially over the holiday season, and to see her be able to go through this time of year without stressing over what it is doing to her weight loss efforts would be the greatest gift I could receive.
I’ll tell you a little about myself. I am 38 and have struggled with my weight for the past 10 years. I still want to lose another 80 pounds. I’ve tried almost every diet out there, but all with the same results. I end up cheating and then gaining again. I joined weight watchers a year ago. I lost 29 pounds by July 2 and have gained 7 pounds back in the past 2 months because I lost my motivation and feel deprived.
When I heard about your program and listened to the call, I was excited again. Cheat days?? That is so incredibly wonderful; my ears perked up. I want to know more about your plan and how it works. I want a plan that fits my busy lifestyle. I can’t wait to feel confident and sexy again!
Dear Joel, I have been an advid dieter all my life, by the time i was 15 i weighed 260 pds. That summer i decided that was it no more. I stopped eating… I went on to lose in 90 days 90pds but got very sick… i had decided i would never put that weight back on.. And up until the last 5 years i have been pretty successful… I will be 50 in March and it just seems harder and harder for me to keep it off, its creeping back on, little by little….Ive been trying everything i know, and its still creeping back on.. I work out for about an hour most days, weight lifting and cardio, i try to watch what i put in my mouth but still, i think your program sounds awesome, it sounds like i will no longer have to starve.. I think your program just might be the ticket to my success…. Thank you!!!!!
Joel, When I started on my “journey” I was 41, 5’4″, 270lbs, today I am 43, 135lbs. I’m proud of that, no question, but not satisfied, I’ve worked HARD and “want” to see this through. I still have a couple areas where I carry fat…yep, “the last few pounds”. This is where I have been pretty much stuck for the last year or so. I truly believe that the solution rests with my hormones and metabolism. I exercise regularly and religiously and plan what I eat including “cheat days” already. While, by now, I’m confident that cheating will not cause me to gain fat, the results still have been slowwww and limited (good gawd! how much more can I put my body through?). Obviously, I’m not doing it right…c’mon, Joel, gimme your secrets, help me see this through to the end and I’ll be your “walking billboard” as I’m never afraid to share what works and what doesn’t (which I get asked a lot! lol)
ps, thx for your blogs and emails…I read them all
After scrolling down through all these posts, it seems unlikely that whatever I post will bring me the free program. But that’s OK because it is the difficult things in life that bring us the most opportunity. Since May of this year, my life has been radically changed. I have been hammered by ruthless, greedy multimillionaire landlords and just yesterday went to sign the papers for, oops – no financial stuff – sorry. I decided back then that I was NOT going to tear people down but build them up. I’ve nicknamed this the “Edification Project” – I went back to school and just passed my NASM CPT exam. I WILL be training people for the rest of my life and I WILL make those people’s lives better. Since there is very little instruction on nutrition, this program would be perfect for me – so that I can help others lose weight the right way – and they can in turn edify those around them BECAUSE they are healthier. I want to get Americans healthy – and although I don’t know everything about your system, I DO know that the diets that are out there do NOT work! Please consider me for this as it is not for me alone – I will spread the word for the rest of my life. Thanks for this opportunity Joel!
Hi Joel,
I’m a 56 year old internal medicine physician who has studied nutrition for many years. I myself am 50 lbs. overweight and am constantly trying to “walk the walk” and “talk the talk”. It has been a lifetime struggle for me to find a healthy LIFESTYLE with responsible diet and exercise for myself and others. If your program works it will help countless numbers of people that I serve every day. As I’m sure you are aware, obesity is an enormous problem in our culture. I’m willing to follow your program to the letter and if it works, I will be a future source of credibility for you. Thank you for your consideration.
