I have struggled with weight since I was a child and have been successful to loose most of it. My last major weight loss was with the help of Isagenix, five years ago. I am reasonably successful keeping the weight down on the Isagenix maintenance program, but it is a lot of hard work and I need to keep calories down to about 1200 a day. Still the weight creeps back up slowly. I am looking forward to learn about the cheat days and the carb cycling. I gave up using grains and potatoes about five years ago, maybe there can be a carb in my future after all??
I’m going to make this post extremely quick and easy.

Joel,
Wow! There are so many people who have already posted, and I can identify with so many of them. You have a tough job ahead of you to choose only five of us! I don’t really know what I can say that hasn’t already been said, but I am certainly going to try to get that free copy!
I am a 38 year old homeschooling mom of 2 teenagers. I have struggled with my weight all my life, always being the “fat” sister. I lost about 30 pounds 9 years ago using the Atkins approach, and I felt great both physically and psychologically. However, over the last 8 years I have regained those 30 pounds plus 20 more. I just love food too much!
All this weight is causing me to have pain in my knees, hips, and back, and I am not able to be physically active with my kids like I want to be. I hate going shopping for clothes, and I hate the way I look!
I have tried numerous times to lose weight again using the same method I had used previously, but with no success. I need to make a change in my life right now, because I don’t like where I am headed physically. I have set a goal for myself to achieve a lean, strong, and healthy body by my 40th birtday, and I believe that your program will help me to achieve that goal!
Thank you Joel!
Joel,
I’m fat ( although I don’t like to say it, it’s true), I need help.
Nothing else has worked, and I’m losing motivation to try something new.
I’ve heard wonderful reviews about your program and I would love to be able to try something which actually gives me results so I can continue for it’s whole duration.
Please help me become a leaner, fitter, more healthy person. I implore you.
Ray
My wife, and mother of my 2 young children (7 & 5) has been struggling with her weight for over 15 years now. At 42, it’s getting to be more and more difficult for her to even attempt a new diet. From Atkins to the most recent “cookie” diet, she has failed. Not for lack of trying though. Unfortunately, she’s obsessed with food and not the “good” ones! This past summer, we went on holidays with the kids to enjoy some sun and water. My wife was embarassed and upset that she could not keep up with the kids and I frolicking around and having fun. To top it off, people were staring at her and our kids were asking; mommy, why are they looking at you funny? Needless to say, she spent the last 4 days of our 7 day holidays inside or somewhere else quiet. That sucked, having to see her explain to the kids the reasons why people were staring and why she was hiding. The worst part, it made it worst. She started eating up her emotions… This book, would be a perfect present from the kids to mommy. Their way of saying, mommy, we love you and we want to help you be happy.
This program would be perfect for me at this point because i have beenin the gym religously, on a strict diet full of restrictions for over two years now. I saw minimal gains in the beginning but nothing since then. It would be perfect because i am truly dedicated and believe all that you have said so far. When it works like i am sure it does, i will definatley advertise and recommend this program.
After Scarsdale, Cambridge, Atkins, Low Calorie, South Beach et al with the same result namely weight loss followed by putting it all back and more your articles make perfect sense. I really would like to lose 40 lbs and not put it back on and it seems your program can help me do that.
Hello Joel,
The truth is, I’m not sure this is the perfect program, but from what’s been said by others and yourself, it more than likely is. I’m fairly atheletic. I’m a keen squash player and in the off season I paddle a surfski/ do circuits/ swim as cross training. I’m fairly lean with the exception of my midrift. Reason? I guess my diet is ineffective. I’ve consulted dieticians and uped my exercise schedule, but to no avail. The diets recommended by dieticians are healthy diets and I understand the concept of putting in less calories than I burn. Time is too little to count calories, life is too good to eat lentils and beans at a barbeque and I’m against starvation diets. Need to cheat my waist lean!
Nutrition is always my weak link in staying in shape. I get to the point where my workouts are great and I’m motivated to do them, but I can’t get the nutrition puzzle put together. I blame it on the type of work I do and my schedule, but I really just need a nutrition plan that explains what I need to do. Thanks.
Hi Joel,
I’m excited by the possibility of losing weight over the holidays. I have been a yo-yo dieter for years, with a steadily increasing weight. To be able to lose weight without feeling like I’m starving or deprived sounds like just what I need. As well, the success stories are inspiring, especially hearing about the sustained weight loss. Right now, I need to find a manageable solution to weight loss or I need to consider gastric surgery.

Hi Joel,
I am a 22yr ol full time employed student, who, suffice it to say, barely has time to sleep let alone work out as much as i would need to lose that last 15 stubborn lbs. I embarked on a weight loss journey 1yr and 6mnths ago and in the first yr I lost 32lbs. Since then i’ve been struggling terribly to lose the remainding lbs and shed this disgusting stomach. My diets never work because i absolutely love food, pasta, sandwiches, fried chicken.. I am by no means fat anymore but I dont look the way I know I could and want to. This particular goal means a lot to me and I would like cheat your way thin to help me accomplish that cause nothing else has been able to.
Hi my name is Shelagh and I’m 39 years old turning 40 on December 31,2009. I have been on the diet roller coaster all of my life and I’m fed up and want off that dam roller coaster for good. I’m a nurse and certainly use science and rely on scientific findings to cement my thoughts and fellings. The article you put out on Leptin was very intreging and made a whole lot of sense. I have lost a lot of weight in the past using a low carb diet but as you have said this can not be sustained in the long term especially for me as I’m a carbohydrate junkie and like you the chocolate chip cookie is constantly calling my name. My last attempt at wieght loss saw me at the gym 6 days a week for a month and a strict diet and what happened nothing there was no change on the scale or in my measurements. I know that your program cheat your way thin is my answer.
Thanks for all your support and encouragement I love the daily emails they are inspiring and very informative.
Hey Joel,
This program would be PERFECT for me! I have been battling at 9%-10% bodyfat for years and im dying to cut down to the really clean, dry look. I want that so i can be proud of my body after years of being teased at highschool for being chubby… I’ll show em :)
The main thing stopping me though is the girlfriend… lame i know! She hates it when i get ‘over committed’ and say no to going out for dinner to eat chicken salad instead! So this way i could stick to my goals and plan with her to have our nights out on a cheat day. I love reading about the science of the body, and ur latest updates about leptin have got me really excited.
Thanks for all the valuable info. Looking forward to devouring the program
(p.s. my parents have also been overweight for years and tried heaps of different diets, i believe this program could be the answer to help them too)
Hi Joel,
Losing weight years ago after having three children was a snap for me. But after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and going through menopause, my metabolism is a whole different ball game. Nothing seems to work for me now. I am intrigued by your introduction and explanation of your program so far. I am very motivated to lose some weight in the next few months. Your program may be just the ticket.
Hi Joel,
Firstly thank you for sharing the information you have in the last few emails, it has been a great encouragement to me. It has shown me that my fitness and weight loss goals are achievable, and I now feel, with the aid of this programme, they are finally within my reach.
I feel I am a strong willed person so I do tend to stick to a good nutrition plan (although I do love a cheat day!), but I find it awfully difficult to resist my cravings for the things I know I shouldn’t really eat as much as I do! have tried umpteen ‘diets’ and ‘fads’, and I have never seen any noticeable changes in my body composition or % body fat levels, and like everyone else I’m sure will agree I’ve had enough!
I really think the programme you are offering, targets the main problems I face when trying to achieve my weight loss goals. I cant wait to access the programme and begin my turnaround!
Kind Regards
Madeleine
Joel,
From everything I read this would be the program that would finally work. Since hitting my 40’s losing weight has become a mystery to maintain and be able to shed. I have found myself at a loss as to why I’m not able to lose the excess weight that seems to have appeared overnight. I have a great workout ethic and have come to realize I miss my workouts if I have to miss them for any reason. I follow all the “rules” about eating healthy and watching my intake and still I can not seem to lose weight. From everything I’ve read about your system and how it works this might be the break through I’ve been waiting for and in need of. I know that it offers a lifestyle and not another diet that can’t be followed after a couple of months, cause let’s face it I’m human. I think this type of system will help me not only lose but maintain the loss so that I can feel I accomplished something that seems to have escaped me on how to do anymore.
Joel,
I have many strikes against me, as a very busy and stressed-out Marine Scientist, a global traveler, I have fibroids, which I am trying to shrink naturally, and I live in Barbados, the land of great food and plenty of it.
This is my last chance to reach my health and fitness goals before I give up permanently, and I read your E-book as a skeptic, feeling ‘here is another e-program to waste my money on’. I follow Isabel de los Rios, Holly Rigby, Vince Delmonte, Rob Poulos, and registered three times for Craig Ballantyne’s Transformation Contest, and failed. But your arguments make scientific sense. And last week, based on what I learned on your site, newletters and the Holiday E-book, to try the carb cycling for one week. To my shock, I lost four lbs in five days (including the high carb day) and I did not feel deprived by any means, nor did I mentally (or actually) reach for the carbs on the days when I shouldn’t have. I am still wondering why it took me so long to find this program. The best part is that I can do this on travel because of the sheer simplicity of it, and it fits with the foods I must eat for fibroid reduction as well. I have a greater mental energy to achieve. With this programme and Craig’s bodyweight exercises, I just might reach my health and fitness goals at 44, after trying for 24 years.
I’ve been dieting off and on for the last 10 years. It seems like the first 15 pounds come off easily and then I stall, get discouraged and gain most of it back. I carry most of the weight around my stomach. What you are saying makes sense, and some of it I’ve heard in other forums but not all in one place. I need to drop 30 pounds. I think I may have finally found out how.
I am a a certified personal trainer, aerobic instructor, and licensed massage therapist. I am always advising clients concerning weight loss and keeping the weight off. Before I give them advice, I try the diet / fitness option myself. Yes, I have tried several and nothing has worked permenantly. Me and my clients need something that works and something we can do for a life time.
As a tall previously thin 50 something menopausal woman, there has to be something out there that works. I did not gain weight that I COULDN’T remove with some exercise and minor dieting until I hit menopause. My doctor dismisses menopause as a reason for weight gain yet every menopausal woman I talk to has the same story-10 lbs first year and additional weight the further we progress. It really does a number on your metabolism. As a biology major and medical professional, this program appeals to me because it is based on chemistry and the way the body responds to what you eat. I truly believe that food is the key-exercise plays a role but to a lesser degree. I know people who work out every day but their body shape changes very little. I myself was a walking nut, I have great cardio but I also have a gut that embarrasses me. I have the dangerous apple shape that predisposes one to heart attacks. I would love a chance to rid myself of this shape and show other menopausal women that we can get rid of this stubborn weight. We don’t have to accept it just because we are getting older. We need a jump start and this program may just be that. Thanks for listening.
Hi Joel, Your program sounds right. I’ve tried EVERYTHING , and I feel like with the right understanding I can get this done and never worry about “dieting” again. Thanks so much if I am considered.
– Hi Joel,
I feel from reading you last 6 updates, that this program could work for me right now in my life. I have been going through a lot of emotional struggles in the last year and I am in the process of change the way I think and feel. So I thnk it is time to really focus on the housing that holds this new way of thinking and feeling. I think it should be easy to implament this program into my life and be able to teach my son the proper way to live healthy.
I turned 50 years old this year and lost my creative job of 10 years Sept 24. My health, energy, and emotional well being has been spiraling down it seems over the last few years. I realized years ago that dieting just didn’t work for me. I could maintain for a few weeks loose some weight but as soon as I feel off the wagon more weight than ever returned. I just gave up.
Food is basically my comfort but my body is really needing a major tune up as far as health is concerned – not to even mention my appearance.
My joints are very painful shoulders, fingers, knees, and especially my thumb joints. (arthritis runs in my family). I am a creative type and need my hands to function strong and accurately.
I have no energy from years of stress overload and low grade year ’round allergies. I really have got to find a way to increase my energy and strengthen my body and improve my confidence at this major turning point in my life.
I really need to turn my life around and become as healthy and strong as I can right now! I must find a new job/career and in order to compete for the few jobs available I need to look and feel the best I possibly can.
Your approach seems to really hit the nail on the head for me it explains why dieting just doesn’t work for me.
Please send me a copy of your program so that I can get moving on the new and improved me! Please send me a copy of your new program Joel.
Thank you for all your encouragement and information I have read so far Joel!
Sincerely
Anne Mincey
Hi Joel
I bought Rob Poulos program for the exercise secrets because what he said and believe in made sense to me and I can see that it is working. He introduced me to your site and what you are offering (increased metabolism) is exactly what I want to achieve for years now and the fact that I can still eat without feeling that the diet will never end. I love the personal touch that you give to your program and the way that you can make it sound so simple. Especially when you say “simply put …” Your program is a must in my house and life style. Thanks for sharing your secrets up to now.
Hi Joel,
For around 12-13 years now I have been working out, (bodybuilding, and now powerlifting) and the one thing that has always been hard to achieve is getting my diet to work with my gym exercise, to acheive low body fat. I turn 40 next month, and would dearly love to be able to reduce my body fat level and really show some definition in my muscles.
From all the tips you have shared with us, I believe the methods you use not only have a solid foundation, but are simple to apply!
Thank you for some fantaic ideas, it gives me the motivation to try even harder!
Competitive swimming until about 35 has kept me in great shape and generally with no weight issues. If I ever felt like I need to lose a few pounds, I just became mindful of it and it came off. After injuries that have limited my swimming, I have found myself looking for alternative exercise that is as effective. I have also crossed the chasm of 45 years old and have not retained that magical gift of wish the pounds off. More than the physical explanations for my interest, I am very impressed by your research and the teachings of the philosophies behind it. When someone tells me to eat this, this and this at a certain particular time, I want to know why and how it works. This kind of knowledge can help me to customize the process for myself as I become more familiar with how my body reacts. Thanks for the info you put out on a daily basis.
