I realy love the concepts that your are teaching. I have been involed with dieting ad strenous exercise for years, with littler results. i am looking forward to getting the program and puting it to good use. i really need help!

Hi Joel; I’m a male in my 60’s unfortunately who has some medical issues. I’m 5’10” and weigh around 200 lbs. Severe arthritis in my knees and back for over 30 years among other problems which have really affected my life style and quality of life. I cannot even walk up or down stairs without hanging on to the railing and pulling myself up or down. Just regular walking is very difficult. At the present time I am taking admittedly too much medication just to manage my pain. I have not said all this too complain but rather to say that I know your system would change my life around and really improve my quality of life by helping me to lose 25 pounds (I think that is a realistic goal).

I have done an extensive amount of research on the web regarding not diets but “systems or programs” because I believe one needs a system or program that modifies or changes your entire lifestyle to make lasting and permanent effect on your body and overall health. I am really impressed by the research that Joel has done and the research behind it. My name is Sonia Joseph-George and I am 41 years old. I have been overweight for some years now even though I have been exercising. In early of 2008 I got really scared having seen my weight jump to 188 lbs. I really worked hard for the rest of the year to lose 18 lbs. I love food and believe it should be possible to be thin while enjoying food. I hate prescriptive calorie counting diets. This program (I don’t think it can be called a diet) sounds like it could be perfect, allowing me to enjoy all sorts of different foods during each week. I believe I could stick with such a program long term.

I turn 60 (UGH!) shortly after the @#$%^&* hoilday season ends. In years past, my January “celebration” parodied that stomach releif ad that said “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing!” Unfortunately, it was many (many) “whole thing”s. This now gives me hope that I can do some (limited, I know) endulgences and not sabotage my entire 2010 plan (which includes not a return to a “normal” weigh range, but achieving the “norman” range for the first time in my life).

Just when I thought all hope was gone I started reading your updates about “cheat your way thin” and I couldn’t believe my eyes . A diet where you can eat your favourite junk food and still loose weight seems too good to be true. For the last 21 years I have been struggling with my weight after having 4 children and gaining 4 dress sizes. I have tried every diet going and as soon as I reached or got near my target weight I started eating my favourite foods again and always ended up heavier than I was before I started the diet. I had just about given up on loosing the 35 lb I need to loose to be fit, happy and healthy when I read about your “cheat your way thin” program. Its exactly what I need. Thanks for all your hard work and for letting me see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Joel,

I do 4 workouts per week, but my fat levels are quite high. Since I am following Les Mills programs like Body Pump and Body Attack I believe there is nothing wrong with my workouts, but probably with my nutrition…
I am aware that a lot (if not everything) depends on the right nutrition and I believe that Cheat Your Way Thin is the right program.
Since here in Slovenia (Europe) we do not have such a wide choice of literature, when it came to the question of proper nutrition in combination with exercises, I am trying to follow quite a few tips on the internet, but so far the best explanations I found was from Joel.
I must agree that other diets are quite difficult to follow and with constant counting of calories they are all doomed to fail (especially on the long run). But I am looking for some tips/ pointers what should I change in my nutrition and at the same time that they are not too complicated and I will be able to follow this for the rest of my life.
I truly believe that this program could help me achieve the body I want and try to shape it for years now.
I must say that I am in quite good condition myself, but I desperately wanted to lower my fat levels, but so far without any significant success.
That is why I wanted this program, to be in good shape as well!

Joel, i am really excited about your program as it seems so fool proof. I am a Mother of 5 children and I would not only be doing this for myself but my whole family. One older child gets very depressed about her weight and looks etc. but until now, no diet has had any lasting results. My husband has a heart condition and type 2 diabetes and really needs to lose about 100 lbs. He too, has struggled all his life with weight problems and he has been trying very hard with dieting and exercising ,but with very little results. I just know this will be a life saving program! Hi Joel, I just bought the CYWT program and want to clarify sth important. Will I lose fat on in the priming phase? And will I lose ANY muscle if I workout hard with weights 4 times a week and do my cardio 3 times a week for both priming and core phase?

Joel, I have dropped 41lbs since August, but I had stalled, after receiving your information, I tried it and dropped a pound this week! I can only imagine the success that I could achieve with the help of your program.

I am a man of science, and so when there is science to back something up, I really think it is the key. The concept of leptin is scientific. When I have tried dieting I always get stuck in platues and I have never understood why. Now I know why. Furthermore, the plan makes it easy to loose weight. I don’t have to give up the foods I love. I can still go out and enjoy my icecream blizzards at DQ. I think this program is wonderful and I believe it will work.

Hi, Joel! I have been overweight since I was about 9 years old. The one time that I managed a significant weight loss (over 70 lbs), toward the end I became so hungry I started binging once or twice a week. But you know what? I still lost weight! Until I gave up because the binging made me feel so out of control. And then, of course, I gained it all back and then some.

Reading about your program really gave me hope. First, I was inspired by Teri’s story — I love the idea that I can still eat my favorite foods and still lose weight. That’s the kind of eating plan that sounds sustainable, as reflected in the numerous testimonials of those who continued with the plan and continued, therefore, to lose weight. And who wouldn’t want to _lose_ 10-15 lbs over the holidays? Also, I know from personal experience that you can lose more weight with cheating than without. Simply put…I’m intrigued. I have been following your updates and honestly i’m still not a believer. I have tried every diet through my adult years, and I mean every diet, only to gain back the weight I lost. I have finally decided to give up the fight. I say fight because that is what it honestly feels like. I am constantly fighting with myself, thinking about food 24/7 on what I put into my body/mouth. I am also an all or nothing type of person, so I either work out hard or dont work out, eat clean or eat crap. Over the last month I got sick and it literally put me on my butt for 4 weeks over which time I didn’t “calculate” anything I ate…I am now 15 lbs heavier!!! So, with your theory of cheating to lose weight…I can’t say I’m convinced. Even after reading all the blog stories of success..come one anyone can post a blog and attach someone else’s pic :-0 Still a skeptic…but I wont stop reading either….lol

I am 47 and need to lose another 40 pounds. I am working on change my lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle. I want to show my duaghter a healthier way to eat and live. And we all know that we love to eat ice cream and pies. When ever I try to diet after so long I always crave the food I try to avoid and then given in and eat way to much. How do you show a 13 year old how to lose weight and be healthy when her freinds and team members are eating cookies or fast food. I want to be able to show her a way to eat that occasionally and still lose. If she loses the weigth her self esteem will rise and sports will be easier with less weight to care around. I think that this program is perfect for me because it seems to me that it really makes sense, it looks very logical. Currently I have some extra weight which I’d like to get rid of but I’ve always been too lazy to follow some diets and the way of modern life is too busy to have time for lot of cooking by yourself, don’t you agree? :) No, I haven’t ever sticked to any diet because unconsciously I always felt that something is wrong with them. Physical exercises – yes, I exercise but it seems to me the problem is that they alone don’t really do the job, there is a line when they become not very effective, a boring routine which doesn’t give you results what you expect if not combined with good, healthy nutrition. What I am looking for is simple, effective, logical and easy to follow system and it looks that yours could be the one! :)

Hi Joel, I am 45yrs. old & I can’t recall the last time I was not thinking about losing weight or felt guilty everytime I cheated. It’s a daily nightmare having to think about weight & food constantly. I started going to the gym 6 months ago and have noticed that my body looks better however I would like to lose 40 – 50 lbs. & keep it off once & for all. What really got me excited about this weight loss plan was when I listened to your phone conversation with Teri, she explained how much success she and her husband had when they went on the program and with the enthusiasm she had it made me say, “wow” finally a plan that I could follow and it would work. I am 57 years old and have struggled with diet after diet after diet only to yo yo and lose and gain over the years. My goal is to obtain a firm set of abs as well and I cannot even remember if I have ever had them. My overall reason is for my health. I have not felt good for years now and I know it has been because I carry around 50+ extra pounds and yes the holidays are probably the roughest because I come from a very large family (15) and we all get together and my one brothers quote is always “we love to eat and it shows”. I have also had a lot of negative comments saying “now that you are older you cant lose the weight”. Well I am going to prove that saying wrong. The mind is a powerful tool and can either be your best ally or your worst enemy. I am slowly on a journey towards making it my best ally and feel that Cheat Your Way Thin would be the final step. All of my life, I have been an emotional eater. Several years ago, in an attempt to rid myself of that behavior, I swung the pendalum in the opposite direction towards anorexia! Instead of binging on food, I was now terrified to eat! Psychologically, I have made great strides since then. Weight wise, I am back to carrying the baby belly fat that has plagued me for years after the birth of my 2 children. My goal is to lose that belly fat once and for all! But also, to gain healing of my mind. I believe the strategic eating will eliminate the guilt and anxiety I feel when I think that I have made the “wrong choice” and give me a balanced plan to follow. In the end, I am looking for freedom!

Well Joel, already the title of this way of eating sounds suspicious but all the other eating programs from dieticiens, doctors, etc are not any better. To tell you the truth, I love to eat. Mind you I eat healthy foods but like to dabble and try new foods and old favorites from time to time. I have been exercising regulary, feeling strong and fit (w/always room for improvement) and feel that the only thing that is keeping me from seeing the muscles underneath the fat is eating “uncleanly” from time to time. I just don’t want to deprive myself from the culinary pleasures of life, invitations to dine with friends and family, etc. I’m tired of feeling guilty and thus leading me to feel like I have failed. I have done food-combining, low-carb, fasting but I can only do so for a limited period of time. From what I understand, I may be able to do your way of eating by easily changing the diet requirements from day to day. I love to be free of the guilty shackles of eating and rewarding myself with “forbidden foods” from time to time. Anxiously waiting to go on the Cheat Your Way Thin journey so see where it will take me…

I’m trying to find the old me. I was in the Army for 12 years I have been out now for 5 years. Since I’ve gotten out I have gone from 185 lbs. to 230 lbs. For the last two years I have been up down between 220 lbs. and 230 lbs. Nothing I do seems to work for very long. I’m now on my 3rd week of Turbulence Training by Craig Ballantyne but I know I should have much better results…I’m still 230 lbs! Something is stuck; no matter what I seem to do. I just bought a juicer and I’m drinking two veggie drinks, two protein shakes, tuna/egg salad, and dinner with the wife. I would think since I’m eating six times per day I would be loosing a ton of body fat. I don’t see anything happening here! I need a new beginning something that my body has never experienced so it can wake up and start burning fat! Your program looks to be the answer and I have the discipline to follow it through and report the success I know I will find with your program.I’m done with trying to do this on my own. I want to be that positive, motivated, and fun guy my wife married five years ago again and for life. I have now been nicotine free for 5 weeks and being on your program I feel will complete my transformation to the old me I used to be!

You ask why do I want this program, or why do I feel it’s right for me? Well, quite simply, I’ve tried everything else. I really don’t know if it will work, but I sure would love to prove it would! I desperately want to lose about 60 pounds (my goal three years ago was 40 pounds…notice the difference? I keep trying different diets and tricks and NONE work long term. As soon as I try to eat the foods I like, WHAM! the weight is back on and bringing a couple of buddies with it. I don’t eat junk, but apparently the food I like, is junk to my body. :( I have done it all, and it keeps doing me back! I would love to be a poster child for you! LOL…the one system I tried that worked for several months, I raved about and personally sold another 10 people the system! I just want to be healthy. HELP! I want a lifestyle change. Something that I can live with, and something that will work. Your program sounds right for me, someone who is willing to change their life. I’ve already changed my life is some ways…I eat better, I exercise, and I’ve downsized the stressors in my life. Now, if I could just lose the weight, I would be soooo happy.
