As I approach 50 years old I have made my health a major priority over the last few years. I am fairly active in my exercise routines but need to improve my diet. I have lost little over 80 pounds over the past 5 years and have continued progress until the last year. I was diagnosed and had removed a benign brain tumor that set me back about 10 months ago. While I am back on track with my workouts, I can always use assistance to improve my diet. I always seek to learn more about metabolism and nutrition and think this would be one more tool to use.
I’m going to make this post extremely quick and easy.
To enter to win one of FIVE copies of the Cheat Your Way Thin Holiday Edition that I’m GIVING AWAY today, simply reply in the comments section below this post (reply form is at the bottom of the page) with the following information:

I always find myself hopeful when there is something new coming out. I keep waiting for something that’s going to help me out, yet be simple enough to stick with. I’m going way out on a limb here to say that, unless someone is in the business of weight management and body building, most people shop at a regular grocery store, take regular multi-vitamins, go to work each day, and don’t take the time to really think too hard about preparing their every meal. This plan sounds like it just might fit into the average Joe’s (sorry) lifestyle. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for all your hard work in making this possible.
I am 47 years old and have always had an issue with my weight – although I am not very overweight, I do have eating issues ie. I discovered bulimia as a 17year old (I don’t think it even had a name then!). Luckily, I came out of that in a few years but I have never felt quite comfortable in my skin. I have always tried to eat healthily and exercise well. However, in the last few years I have been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and, more recently, discovered I am also severely anemic which has resulted in extreme fatigue, and I have no will or energy to exercise plus I have a need to eat more just to improve my energy levels.
I have always hated diets and usually only lasted a couple of days. However, with my hormonal and iron problems, I have tried to avoid dieting and stick to a healthier diet as I know that this would help with my metabolism and my energy. The problem is that I am also putting on weight especially around my stomach which I know is the unhealthy fat. I feel your program may help me to eat more healthily, while increasing my energy, yet giving my metabolism a big boost and help me to lose 10kilos (approximately 22 pounds).
I have been aware of the leptin research and it makes sense but I just do not know how to put it into action. Your program will be able to educate me to help me lose and keep the weight off as well as, perhaps, helping my son and partner to lose weight as well.
Hi. I am 53 years old and a recent entrant into the “its-all-about-fitness” world! Almost a year ago, I began working out seriously with my personal trainer and more than the fact that I have lost 17 kilos in a healthy way, I have begun to like the idea of constantly raising my own bar to achieving in the area of fitness. I love food and I love to eat. But I also know that I have been indulging in a lot of emotional bingeing…and really without direction and guidance, its a disease which has no end. This program I really believe is that anchor that people like me need. Right now I have put my entire life on hold, tending to my beloved young nephew who is suffering from a terminal disease. During such a stressful time, I find myself still in control as far as my eating goes and that makes me happy and relieved since my gym routine has come to a temporary halt. I am hoping to put this program to its fullest use in the days and years to come.
Thanks very much!

Hey Joel,
I’m a college student up here at JMU. JMU was recently voted #4 for best food in the nation by the Princeton Review. You can imagine why. The thing is, I’m a big health and fitness nut and I’m really wary about eating most of the stuff I see in the campus dining halls. If there is a way to incorporate all this delicious junk food I’m seeing into helping me burn fat and become a fitter, leaner person well then I would be extremely grateful to find out what exactly I need to do!
Since I married and turned 50, I put on 20 lbs in ONE year. I joined a gym, had a personal trainer, ate healthier and still…. NOTHING. I’ve bought books, DVD’s, special training devices and still….NOTHING. I think I’ve just about exhaused all my options. Maybe yours will be the ONE and only ONE!!
Hi Joel,
I would love to win this cheat yourself thin book to help myself loose some extra weight but also others. I am an EFT practitoner and also wholesale and retail health products, many people are desperate to find a good way to loose weight. I want to check it out for myself and then recommend it to my clients. Obviously we have all tried many different diets and I would love to be able to help myself and them, loose those extra few pounds, especially over Christmas.
With best wishes, Sally
Joel, As a 44 year old female that just found out she is gluten intolerant, I have been struggling with dieting and cravings! I will eat correctly and the weight will come off and then I will crave some carbs (no gluten allowed!) and go on some binge with sweets or dairy products. I really think your system can help regulate my diet. Everything you say makes great sense to me. I haven’t heard anything else out there that could work with the gluten free aspect necessary.
Thanks for all you do,
Audrey

Hi Joel,
I am 55 years old, I live in Brazil and have been strugling with my weight for almost 10 years now. I had some health issues that got me into this overweight. I have tried almost all the options I could grab in this country including stomach surgery. I have been reading and learning a lot about your program and it did light this tunnel and hope is back that I can get back to my normal weight and lead a healthy life ! I am sure your program will get me there !
I have two daughters, one of them lives with me and she has a great tendency to gain weight, so if I win this program I will be able to teach her as well how to lead a healthy life and cheat her body thin !
I also suffer with the hot weather and with all these extra pounds that I do carry around it just makes things worse.
Mom had a stroke last year and Dad passed away this year so as you can see I have been going through lots of changes in my life, and I do hope I can win your program so that I can change my body also and return to a healthy and pleasant life again !
Hoping I am one of the winners,
With love,
Pat
Save me Joel! I’m 45, fat and frightened! I’ve spent the last 25 years yo yo dieting, all of them, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Herbalife, Attkins etc. I’ve had success for a few years at a time then it creeps back on. I have never managed to get below 60kg which is were I should be at 5’1″! Usually tricking my body into letting me maintain in the low 70’s, still never game to eat and enjoy! 12 months ago I had a hysterectomy and while I got to stay around I have now ballooned to 91kg ( my heaviest) and climbing! I am fighting my body every minute of the day and I’m miserable. I’m grumpy and pushing my husband and kids away. I am an educated person who knows all the nutritional information inside and out but with no capacity left to have any conviction for any diet. I’ve stuffed my body, my hormones and metabalism are shot. Everything you talk about in your updates makes perfect sence, I just hope and pray that by abandoning all I have been conditioned to believe during a lifetime of conventional and fad diets and following your step by step method I can at last find peace and become successful both with body shape and image. Thank you for your emails, they give me hope.
The farther you go down the road of burning fat the harder it gets.
The harder it gets the more a variety of approaches is required because of our bodies natural ‘defence’ mechanisms.
I am doing great, but want to be doing fantastic!
Your system, may be the key for me! to go from great to fantastic!
So I live with great hope and I will wait & see, what you can do for me!
SEASONS GREETING TO ALL!!!
Hello Joel,
Thank you for this opportunity. I run a business on inspiring women (men are welcome too!) to eat successfully for them. By this I mean knowing about food what it does to our bodies and knowing how our mind works around dieting pschology. I am anti-diet and pro ‘we are what we eat’ and although I wouldn’t encourage eating junk foods I am excited about the core message of your programme.
As I say to my clients, we will all at some time eat too much for reasons other than nutrition. If we can get these ‘times’ to work for us both psychologically and pysically it’s a great bonus. Your programme will educate me to pass on your findings to my clients.
I hope you will consider me for one of your five giveaways. Great work!

Let me put it this way, all my life I have been a fitness and nutrition junkie. I read everything I can get my hands on. I am linked up with the entire internet community on nutrition and fitness and hear various points of view. I must get 2 dozen or more emails a day in my inbox on this subject and read everything because I have a passion for it. I am also the nutrition and fitness guru of the family. I talk to everyone about the subject and try to influence everyone to eat right and stay fit. I should have gone into the fitness and nutrition field because I love everything about it and have a passion to help others.
I have tried many diets myself but never diet anymore. I have exercised my entire life – walking, jogging, strength training, cardio and lifting weights and I look younger than my years. However, I have family members who are committed junk food eaters and I would like to obtain this Cheat Your Thin program so that I can study it and perhaps help them to lose weight. My brother almost died last December. He is very obese but has lost some weight because he had to. My sister-in-law has Diabetes Type 2 and isn’t really following the doctor’s instructions. Maybe this program can help them finally lead a more balanced life of eating so that they can live longer. Neither one of them will ever follow any kind of a diet anyways. This might help.
Thanks
Wendy
Hey Joel,
I’ve seen the Cheat Your Way Thin system before when I was perusing different weight loss methods and was very intrigued by the ideas behind it. I have been receiving your updates over the past couple of weeks, and I definitely have confidence in the system’s ability to help people manage their eating habits and change their lifestyle to promote a healthier existence. I’m into fitness, I work out 5-6 times per week and try to eat a balanced, healthy diet with some indulgences here and there. I would be lying if I said that I had the body I wanted, but I do believe your book could help me boost my metabolism to get the body I have wanted for years. However, my true desire for Cheat Your Way Thin is not my own.
Both my parents are overweight and have been for quite some time. My dad has high blood pressure and had to get a heart catheter and two stints just a few weeks ago because of some clogged arteries. My mother leads a very high stress lifestyle and has recently had to deal with additional extreme stressors which she cannot avoid (let’s just say its a family crisis). Unfortunately, both of my parents’ situations seem to be getting worse. Basically, something needs to happen, or my parents will not survive much longer.
I think that becoming healthier is exactly what both of my parents need. If something could change for the better, and produce real, noticeable results, then I definitely think they would make additional changes to promote an even healthier lifestyle. I believe that becoming healthier would allow themt to more effectively manage their stressors, and help them to become the parents I remember as a kid. Personally, I think the Cheat Your Way Thin System is exactly what would produce these benefits and save my parents from further health problems down the road. I hope to hear from you soon, and definitely appreciate all you have done to promote health in our society.
Thanks,
Ben Crocker
Hi Joel,
I received your info via Rob Poulos. It got me hooked from the start. I am very interested in your ideas and putting them into practice. I am following Robs workout programme but I lose interest because the results are not showing in weight/fat loss. Your ‘diet’ would fit in great with this. I currently have about 7o lbs I want to lose. Although I dont eat that much I have constant urges to eat junk (sweets, choc you know all the usual stuff). I have the usual side effects from this the headaches tiredness all the time. I have a beautiful little girl and she deserves a mum that has the energy to spend time with her. I would love to be able to use your programme straight away to benefit from it. I have Crohns Disease so I kid myself that I am this weight because of the pre disposition to sugary foods. I want to change this cycle.
Kind Regards
Sel
I have always had a problem with my weight, I have done the diet tablets, the exercise, now I have have been disabled 8 years and I really want to get down to a manageble size. I’m too heavy for someone to push in a manual wheelchair, and due to shoulder problems I can’t push myself. I have had 2 operations on one shoulder and with the help of physio I am really improving with that shoulder. I have an electric power chair, which is useful, but I want to get down in size. It’s max weight level is 18 stone and I am not that far off. I was once, 27 + years ago, 9 1/2 stone – gosh that is such a long time ago. I know I would feel so much better. I have times when all I want to do is eat until I feel full, other times I am ok. Some times I feel so motivated then it’s as if I don’t care. All you have said so far I agree with and I really feel that you can help me.
Hi there,
I have so many reasons why I am desperate to get hold of this material that I dont know where to start! I live in South Africa and finding organic foods (especially in the small town where I live) is beyond impossible, so eating “normal food” and learning how to deal with it would be great.
I am a mother of 5 year old triplets (2boys and a girl) and my daughter has a very rare syndrome called Angelman Syndrome, so my whole life (including my meals, snacks and exercise etc.) revolves around not only the kids, but especially around her, so I never get the time to practice healthy eating as I am always grabbing the easiest meal or snack to be found as she is a 24/7 responsibility.
I also go to alot of kiddies birthday parties as you can imagine and always end up having to eat all the left overs of all 3 my kids (I feel too guitly to through food in the rubbish bin!), so the weight seems to pile on.
Lastly, my hubbys family all live overseas ( Australia and UK) and this Christmas we will all be together for the first time in 5 years, so you can imagine what a feast we are going to have and the last thing I want to do is ruin all my hard dieting and work of the past year, but I also dont want to not enjoy myself with the family!
I really need your material and would really appreciate it if I won one of the books. I will be looking forward to your email.
I’m tired of trying all the wrong “diets”. I need something that lets me have variety but structure at the same time so i don’t get bored.
Hello Joel,
I have had a problem with my weight for some years now and nothing seemed to work. I recently started the FBF and although the exercises are great and I enjoy this; I cannot manage the diet plan.
Having received a recommendation that your system was healthy, easy to stick to and above all, effective; I had to give it a look.
I was impressed by the amount of work and research that you had done and all of the daily updates relating to the Holiday Plan made real sense as well as sounding good.
What is especially good is the fact that I can continue to do my regular exercise in FBF and then incorporate you eating plan into that.
Here’s hoping I win a copy :-)
Best wishes,
Colin.
No matter what I try I cant seem to lose weight so I’m really hoping that your advice will finally help me to do so. I am 60 and got heart problems so it’s really vital that I get my weight down. I am 5’2″ so the extra pounds I am carrying are slowing me down a great deal, and I really want to play an active part in my family life, which includes helping with my grandchildren.
I’d be interested in the program, because I’m interested in reaching my goal of 17% body fat(I recently made 18.4). And, I want to do it by the end of the year. I’ve fought the battle of emotional eating for a long time, and right now is going to be very stressful. I am considering a move to another state, looking for a job(I was downsized recently), beginning work on my Masters Degree in Health Psychology, studying for my certificate as a Sports Nutrition Specialist. So, there’s a lot that can get in the way. It took me a long time to get where I am today, I at one time weighed 175 pounds at 5’1″. But, I’m now at 110 and still working hard to make this my best body ever at the age of 57.
I need this program to make me believe again. To help me hope again. To help me stop running away from life. To help me step back into my life. To believe that it is possible. It is not about money alone. I will never spend on a program again because all I have seen till now is failure. I need somebody to demonstrate success to me.
I am a 50 year old woman from India. I am a single parent with three teenage kids. I have gained more than thirty kilograms in last four years and am still gaining. I tried all the regular weight-loss programs. Nothing worked.
In the meantime, my body started resisting the weight. Symptoms reflected as elevated blood pressure, pain in knees and joints. I developed feelings of inadequacy, depression and almost all my self esteem was gone. I was always conscious of the fact that I am over ninety kilograms heavy. I stopped going out and avoided meeting people. My fear of social interaction led me to leave my job and sit at home for more than eighteen months.
Eight months back, I pulled myself together. I introspected deeply and convinced myself that being fat is fine. I could succeed in convincing myself only because I had given my best to lose layers of fat. Had I not tried hard enough, I would not have been able to motivate myself to try and lead a normal life.
Many years ago the doctor I went to told me I was in good health – because my leptin levels were low! Of course they were, I was overweight and on one of my”diets” My family have all become overweight as a result of my inbalance and my believing and following the next “expert”. In 40 years of dieting, I come pretty near to knowing them all. Your programe seems to be very comprehensive and cover all the basis, including the mind, I think that is what the Game Changer audio will deal with as everything else has been covered. You have 5 different programmes, so one must be the right formula for me, surely. You help with travel times, and give a blueprint to get me through the holiday season. Yes, I do wonder about the carbohydrates, can I really eat normally on my “free” days? But you cover it all, I do not want to leave this life without beating this battle. Hope flickers once more, so thanks for all effort you have put in, This could be life and death for others like me who are still on the pendulum, know that all your effort was worth it, for one it would have been worth it for this battle is viscious. Whether I win the programme or not, I’m glad you have done the hard yards. With all my heart I pray that this will be the answer for so many of us out there, especially for those yet to go down the slippery slope of continual “dieting”
Joel,
I would love to have the Program today. I am a mother of 4, 43 years old. I have steadily gained weight over the last 10 years. I am now 40 pounds overweight. I have had two times where I lost about 25 pounds during those years. The first was when I did the Body for Life Program. The second, was when I paid a TON of money to a local quick weight loss company, and hated every minute of it. Of course, I gained my weight back, and more. Something stuck with me though through Body For Life. Something clicked and worked easily. I searched and read for years everything I could get my hands on, yet I was reluctant to do Body for LIfe again, because I felt like after the 12 weeks, I didn’t know what to do anymore. I’ve purchased every online weight loss gimic and pill there is. I’ve even gone the hypnotism route.
Bottom line. I truly desire to change the REST of my life. I want to feel better, look better, but most of all be a better person. I can literally feel my blood sugar rise and fall. I’m to the point that I actually fall asleep on the couch if I eat sugar. I’m scared what this is doing to my body. I feel if I can get control of my blood sugar roller coaster rides I take each day, I can finally get everything in my life in sync and get on the road to a better life!
