CB-tastic, a HUGE Dinner, and Secret Ingredient Fat-Burning Foods

Posted by Joel Marion

My main man CB-tastic just got in town today and shortly after his arrival we both sat down to a HUGE dinner full of secret fat-burning ingredient foods.

A few things you should know:

1.  CB-tastic is Craig Ballantyne.  DUH.

2.  I’m releasing a new program called The Huge Dinner Diet tomorrow.  It involves huge dinners.  It also involves fat loss.

Like, LOTS of fat loss.

How much fat loss?  Take your body weight and divide it by three.

Now multiply it by a BILLION.

That much.

3.  Secret ingredient foods are by far the best fat burning foods you can possibly eat.  In fact, here’s a list of the foods we included in our HUGE dinner tonight, each of them containing the magic “secret ingredient”:

  • Filet Mignon
  • Spinach
  • Apples
  • Blueberries
  • Cranberries
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Fresh Mozzarella
  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Carrots
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • Wheatberries
  • Walnuts
  • Pumpkin Seeds

I didn’t lie when I said the dinner was huge.  I also didn’t lie when I said dinners of this size are part of a new rapid fat loss diet I developed, The Huge Dinner Diet, due out tomorrow.  And I didn’t lie when I said that ALL of these foods are made up of secret ingredients.

Do you know what secret ingredient all of these foods have in common?

Simple:  ALL of these foods have only ONE ingredient – the food they are.

Broccoli is made up of broccoli – that’s it.

The ingredient list for raw walnuts?  Raw walnuts.

Hey, what’s in those cherry tomatoes?  Oh, I know!  Cherry tomatoes!

The absolute best fat-burning foods are one-ingredient foods — whole foods that contain only one ingredient.

They’re natural.  They’re not processed.  They contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, and more…in their natural form.

Many folks ask me to analyze their diets and I find that they’re full of highly processed, crapola foods.  If it comes in a box, throw it out.  Instead, try this for just one week:

Eat only natural, unprocessed one-ingredient foods:  meats, fruits, vegetables, oils, nuts, legumes, and seeds.

See how much better you feel.  See how much better you LOOK.

How about you?  How many one-ingredient foods are in YOUR diet today?  Will you join me in eating only one-ingredient foods this week?

Blue cheese crumbles? Really? Isn’t blue cheese really fattening?

Thanks for the fabulous reminder. Even on the run, an apple (1 ingredient) instead of a ‘protein bar’ can often do the trick! I need to remember that ;-) I was way healthier as a kid than I became in my adult eating on the run stage.

I think Quinoa is an amazing food choice – it is a good source of protein and as it is a seed not a grain, it is perfect for vegetarians, vegans and people looking for gluten free choices. You can eat it by itself, or add it to salads, omelettes, I even put it in my smoothies. You can easily cook up a batch a head of time so it’s ready to go. You can also use it as a flour or sprout it for salads and wraps.
You can even bake with it and it actually tastes great.

No they didn’t. Our ancestors’ lifespan was very short. Living into your 60′s was very rare even a century ago. Since most people eat “crapola foods,” how is our average lifespan now into the 80′s, with many people living beyond a century. Try again.

It’s called modern medicine. That’s not hard to figure out.

Combine the “old school” way of eating with moderine medicine and people would be living a lot longer.

It helps me to “figuratively speaking” to run the food I want to eat under running water, and if it remains intact, ie/ doesn’t become mushy, I can eat as much of it as please… Why? …because it is qualifies as a perfect fat burning food…

Joel,
You secret ingredient list is priceless! I have been trying to eat clean for a few months and have found that not only do I look better, but I feel better. Keep the information coming!

Joel, this is my diet at least 80% of the time. I shoot for 100% of the time, but there are those days where it doesn’t happen completely. And then there are those days where i just wanna have a slice or two of pizza. And so i do, i enjoy it, and then go back to one-ingredient wonders.

As a vegetarian whole foods, especially fresh fruits and vegetables, are right up my alley. In fact, I eat so much veggies in a day that I wonder how they could be considered “free” as you say in many of your plans. They end up being a main source of my nutritional intake. And I keep the prep (if any) as simple as possible. Where I run into trouble is viable soy-free protein sources. I do eat eggs (my staple) for the protein, but no dairy. I’m very interested in hearing about this new plan you’ve developed since my evening meals tend to be larger because I have more time to prepare and enjoy them. (That doesn’t mean they are higher in calories though.) I’d love to get my hands on a copy. I feel like I’ve been spinning my wheels and not really getting anywhere.

It depends how they figure out average life span. Don’t forget a century ago, the mortality rate among newborns was much higher than today. That can make the average age a lot less, when in reality, once you got past beign born and childhood diseases and such, you may have had as much chance to live as long.

Case in point: my great grandmother bore 13 children, and 9 lived to adulthood. That means that a tad over 69% of her children lived to be adults. If you were to look at a random 13 births in the US today, i’m betting that more than 69% those born could attain adulthood.

That’s an interesting method!

Can this diet be vegan

Not sure if I follow… If I make a salad, a pizza or a casserole out of multiple single ingredient foods, does this become an unhealthy multi-ingredient food?

Wonderful!!! I use your and Isabel De Los Rios’ recipes. So far, I lost 45 lbs, and need to lose another 10 lbs. I am trying to get my daughter to use your. She needs to lose about 60 lbs. I will continue to use food on your list. Thanks. :-)

This would be a great start for my wife who has never been popular with the “eat five or six small meals” mindset…she is trying to get into a pair of jeans for a high school reunion in October and she had begun trying to “cleanse” our home of processed foods but with the hours she works, convenience foods find their way into our cupboard…Been trying to assist her as best I can but with the recent diagnosis from her doctor (border line osteoporosis) will be impetus for her to shed the additional weight she (and I) now carry…Love to see a copy of the diet as having a meal plan is the only way she seems to work…trying to come up with something to eat “off the cuff” is very difficult.

I know this to be true. I began to eat exactly this way and within a matter or 2 to 3 weeks, I dropped weight very, very quickly. My blood pressure dropped to better than normal when before it was running 140s/90s. My skin was not oily any longer. Acid reflux was no where to be felt. Little aches and pains in my joints went away. This was all within a matter of WEEKS. Take his plan…and run with it!
