CB-tastic, a HUGE Dinner, and Secret Ingredient Fat-Burning Foods

Posted by Joel Marion

My main man CB-tastic just got in town today and shortly after his arrival we both sat down to a HUGE dinner full of secret fat-burning ingredient foods.

A few things you should know:

1.  CB-tastic is Craig Ballantyne.  DUH.

2.  I’m releasing a new program called The Huge Dinner Diet tomorrow.  It involves huge dinners.  It also involves fat loss.

Like, LOTS of fat loss.

How much fat loss?  Take your body weight and divide it by three.

Now multiply it by a BILLION.

That much.

3.  Secret ingredient foods are by far the best fat burning foods you can possibly eat.  In fact, here’s a list of the foods we included in our HUGE dinner tonight, each of them containing the magic “secret ingredient”:

  • Filet Mignon
  • Spinach
  • Apples
  • Blueberries
  • Cranberries
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Fresh Mozzarella
  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Carrots
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • Wheatberries
  • Walnuts
  • Pumpkin Seeds

I didn’t lie when I said the dinner was huge.  I also didn’t lie when I said dinners of this size are part of a new rapid fat loss diet I developed, The Huge Dinner Diet, due out tomorrow.  And I didn’t lie when I said that ALL of these foods are made up of secret ingredients.

Do you know what secret ingredient all of these foods have in common?

Simple:  ALL of these foods have only ONE ingredient – the food they are.

Broccoli is made up of broccoli – that’s it.

The ingredient list for raw walnuts?  Raw walnuts.

Hey, what’s in those cherry tomatoes?  Oh, I know!  Cherry tomatoes!

The absolute best fat-burning foods are one-ingredient foods — whole foods that contain only one ingredient.

They’re natural.  They’re not processed.  They contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, and more…in their natural form.

Many folks ask me to analyze their diets and I find that they’re full of highly processed, crapola foods.  If it comes in a box, throw it out.  Instead, try this for just one week:

Eat only natural, unprocessed one-ingredient foods:  meats, fruits, vegetables, oils, nuts, legumes, and seeds.

See how much better you feel.  See how much better you LOOK.

How about you?  How many one-ingredient foods are in YOUR diet today?  Will you join me in eating only one-ingredient foods this week?

These single ingredient foods actually taste better than processed junk. I had to eat processed junk yesterday at work due to a lack of planning. The canteen at work has nothing healthy in it, i had a cheese croissant that was in a packet (the closest approximation to healthy, sad to say), and it tasted very odd, and I didn’t enjoy it. I usually take in a home made salad with just a lean protein and veggies, and I enjoy it a lot more.

Such a simple and rue concept but for some reason it seems so difficult to get done,

So no more calorie counting. What happens to the 5 or 6 small meal a day plan?

I prefer to eat this way and often do…the hardest part in my house is keeping 3 young kids who NEED to eat this way too happy on a clean eating diet. Or I should say transitioning them to a clean eating diet. The food they like to eat is tempting to me and is what sways me off of clean eating myself. I want to throw all the processed food away and start over, but I honestly don’t know what I’d feed my kids or when I’d make the healthier version of what they want!

I’m a huge fan of eating whole foods. I noticed a big difference in my body composition, but more importantly how I FELT when I started eating really big meals that were made up of things just like your list.

But I also added in a hefty slab of meat or fish. ;)

Sounds too easy … But it’s definitely TRUE! Game on, I accept the challenge. :)

How true this is! The times I feel “bad” after eating is when I’ve gone out to eat and it’s combined food crapola! Otherwise, at home I eat meat, fruit and veggies and nuts. No sauces, gravies etc! Last night I had banana and peanut butter. On the peanut butter jar ingredients it said organic peanuts, nothing else. When I have the time I make my own nut butter. Thanks for the wisdom!

Now, time to convince my father to buy one ingredient foods! I hope he listens, I want to help him lose weight really bad. :)

I have been using the knowledge and following the extreme fat loss program. I can honestly say the days that I feel the worse are the cheat days. I am happy to be eating the decadent foods that I love, however I don’t feel good after eating them. I can truly say that no matter what the outcome of my weight loss is I am so happy to eat healthier and feel better. Thanks D

I totally agree! I have always felt that our bodies were designed to use whole natural foods and that the nutrients in these foods go to feeding and making our bodies run properly. I think that eating man made junk keeps us in a hungry state because our bodies are not getting the nutrients they need, and until our bodies recieve those nutrients it will continues to crave more food. The problem is, with our fast paced lives, those man made foods are so hard to resist and are much easier to grab. Since I am so uncreative, I tend to have the same boring meals which include those man made foods and within a half hour after eating I tend to be hungry again. The foods on your list look wonderful and I will use them as a guide! Keep doing what you are doing! And thanks.

@ Patricia:

No they didn’t. Our ancestors’ lifespan was very short. Living into your 60’s was very rare even a century ago. Since most people eat “crapola foods,” how is our average lifespan now into the 80’s, with many people living beyond a century. Try again.

This lines up with everything I’ve been reading lately. We should eat REAL food-not fake food that’s been over processed and shot full of chemicals you can’t even pronounce. Way to go Joel! This sounds like a great diet! I need to loose about 15 pounds and would love to have a copy of this plan. (pleeze) :)

What a concept!! It makes the most sense I’ve ever read anywhere!! And I don’t have to memorize a complicated eating plan. Nature had the right idea all along. Thank you for hitting me between the eyes and getting my attention.

I have been adopting this policy of late and defo feel the benefits – getting my 17year old daughter into the habit – no more crisps and biscuits for her to snack on – and she has confessed how much better she feels too. Now to convert hubby!! I also have a regular dose of spirulina and chlorella 0 excellent sources of vegetable protein – nothing added, nothing taken away……awesome!

I love it. So simple and true. We kind of know it but we need a reminder. Thanks.

You have so many different diets/ways of eating/special foods to aid in fat burning I can’t keep them straight. Is there a website or place you have all these diets and how to use them? I have and still eat the foods but I can’t seem to lose any weight. I do have thyroid issues, taking meds, depression, taking meds, cholesterol, working with doctor and sleep problems will be working with a doctor. I’m sure alot of my problems has something to do with not losing any weight and I do exercise 3 times a week. Thanks for listening, I didn’t sleep much last night. Keep up the articles, I like to read them.

The only processed food I eat is high-grade protein supplements after my workouts — recommended by You Know Who, Joel!

Sounds just like my dinners and lunches too!!. Eat like this everyday!!

I’m a huge proponent of unprocessed foods and agree with you, but being a grad student on a very tight budget, do you have any tips for cheaper options? For example, a lunchmeat that may be prepackaged but not processed? Looking for affordable, healthful, high protein, unprocessed foods. Thanks! And I enjoy reading :)

I am lucky that I adore these foods and loathe crap processed foods so I eat well.
(Not forgetting 100% dark chocolate, wow!). I am confused though, that all you chaps sell eating one ingredient foods . . . . and then talk about Prograde products all the time. I haven’t found Prograde in England yet so can’t check myself, but surely Prograde products are of more than one ingredient AND processed, to some extent, even if it’s “healthy” processing(?!?)
Please will you explain this to me?

Hello, I personally never buy any food that shows more than a few ingredients on the ingredients’ list. Or anything that contains something I cannot understand… so I fully agree with your comment on throwing anything we got in a box or close to it. Anything processed inevitably contains ingredients to help keep the food “fresh” longer so, it’s a good idea to stay away from any processed food. And cooking a good meal takes much less time than we think. It is just a matter of discipline. We are what we eat! Thanks for this list of great food. Luc
