I celebrated by 35th birthday this year. I didn’t meet my goal of losing 35 or pounds before my birthday. I need a program that will work for me.

The wedding that I was going to get in shape for was last week. Imagine my self-esteem as I poured myself into some (wimpy) shapewear and then got out of breath just from bending over to put on pantyhose.
What you said in your preview is absolutely correct. I’ve been on every kind of diet, and I know that it won’t work for me if it eliminates one type of food. On the Atkins/South Beach, I was craving carbs so badly that after the first week I just HAD to have pizza. Then I felt like a failure and thought, ‘Now I’m off my diet.’ After stocking up on Nutri System food and going without fat for a couple of months, I had a gallbladder attack. Your plan sounds scientifically sound, especially the Strategic Overeating days.
Exercise? I will do it right, this time. I’m convinced interval training is the key to revving up the metabolism, but I need step-by-step guidance to do it. I stood in the checkout lane at the grocery store and checked out the fitness videos. I am about to turn 60. I am probably 50 lbs overweight and out of shape. Old habits are hard to break and from past experience I know I would need a step by step plan to eat right and exercise right. This sounds like a terrific plan and I am in the right frame of mind to become a grandma who can keep up with her 15 grandchildren who are all eight and under.
I have within the last year lost 63 lbs. I did not achieve my initial goal of losing 70lbs. I was so close. But for the last 6 months, I am struggling with my weight maintenance, as i have recently gained 8 lbs. Being anaemic, i have such low energy for exercise. I am a 60 year old active woman who has always been in shape. Since menopause, quitting smoking and a hysterectomy I have gained over 20 pounds around my midsection, back and breasts and NOTHING i do will get rid of any of it. I run 2-3 miles every day. I have stopped eating carbs and dairy. I take vitamins and supplements. MY METABOLISM HAS STOPPED DEAD. I am so frustrated and depressed I truly don’t know where else to turn. HELP!!!!!

This program is the best for me at this point in my life, because I tried a lot of other programs, with HIIT, MRT and changing lifestyle stuff, but somehow it didn´t help me. The support didn´t do what it should, I couldn´t run even half a year without having my pelvic and lower back problems coming back, and I SO LOVE food, that I just couldn´t stick to just the healthy salad stuff. I love cooking and baking and my kids love it too, so a cheat meal once in a while doesn´t do the job. Luckily they are inspired by me trying to be a healthy foods and sports freak, but now I want to keep up with them, as the 39 year old mom of 3 I am. But I just can´t with the knowledge I have, and I don´t have the help and support for me personally. I want to be the healthy example for my family and your carb syncing and nutrient combining would be THE last step I need to add that knowledge in the family´s food supply ;)
I have too much fat hanging around me that doesn´t feel like me, I am insecure, I feel old because I can´t keep up with my kids, nor can dress the way I want, or even move the way I want… I want to change that once and for all! I am 56 years young and I have been battling weight problems for over 30 years, I started stacking it on after going onto the pill. I have a thyroid problem and diabeties and the tablets make it so hard to get the weight off and keep it off. I have tried so many diets and some exersise when I am able. I really need to able able to put my body back on track as naturally as possible. I have 4 children and 4 grandchildren and I want to be around to see them grow up. In my mind I see the slim person I was at 16 and I would love to get close to that weight again. I have lost 27 kilo’s and still have at least another 25 kilo to go. Please help me to help myself to a better diet free life.
I always have been into sports and working out. But i never seemed to be able to achieve the body I always wanted. I guess the main reason is my diet. My family mainly has high blood pressure and diabetes. I just recently joined the gym and discovered that I myself have high blood pressure despite being ‘fit’. I need this to improve my daily lifestyle. I don’t EVER want to get diabetes or high blood pressure and live life through some machine. Honestly, i’m scared of being unhealthy. I’m scared of dying from disease. I don’t want to be scared. I have been teaching group fitness (most formats) for 32 years and it is my PASSION! I am turning 50 in a couple of weeks and for the first time ever I can see my own belly fat creepage over the past year. Although 10 pounds overweight, it is 10 pounds too much and I know if I don’t do something about it NOW it shall take it’s unnatural course until I dreadingly end up as the saying goes ‘looking like my mother’. Although I am crazy about her and she is beautiful inside and out, diabetes has taken its toll and she and my 3 siblings are horribly unhealthy and morbidly obese. The sad part of life is, that if you are healthy, you feel great. 15 yrs ago, I was in the best physical shape of my life. Then, along came #5 and then #6 child, both with asthma, so walking outside was out. Stuck inside and not exercising like my body was used to, I was unable to lose that excess weight. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard spot. (With at least 70 pounds to lose!)
Hi there Joel, and fellow fat stores (Ha Ha!) Well I am not gonna give you a line of BS and and exspect you to actually believe it. I want this report because I like to eat . I feel this 24/7 would be my advantage weapon in the fight of the bulge.
I give up. I posted my commetns for entry into the contest a short while after midnight. It was posted as #14 on the list. Thne it mysteriously disappeared. I tried several times after that to enter again and the site will not let me. It gives me a message saying I’m trying to submit too fast and I should slow down! Huh? I tried to contact you in as many ways as I could think of and tried to submit my entry several more times, shortening the length of it, etc. to no avail. The only thing that has happened is that my email mailbox is FALOODAED with over 2,000 of other people’s entries. Although interesting to read, that is not my purpose at this point. I tried to check off teh box that should allow m,e to have these emails discontinued but there is no such box under the Submit Comment button. Please help. In May 2010 at nearly 17 stone I decided I didn’t like me the way I was. I am now down to 10st 11lbs and am stuck! The work out programme I have been using is great but I have been using the same one for the last 7 months and am scared to change because I don’t know what to do next and don’t want to NOT do! My diet is generally healthy but the last few pounds are not shifting and I so want to achieve my goal and get rid of the last bit of (mainly belly) fat. I want to prove the doctors wrong, who say we ladies of a certain age (I’m 53) can’t lose weight and show my friends (who have been watching my progress) it can be done, with the right information.

i have struggled with my weight for many years, at 27, having found myself in the morbidly obese range i decided that enough was enough and managed, by cobbling together programs do drop myself down to just overweight. Six years on though, i long-since plateaued, and while my commitment has not wavered, the results have. The step by step nature of this program (not to mention the superb strategic overeating) seem to me to be exactly what’s required for me. It speaks to the personality of the large man on the outside, and the skinny little man within who has always been trying to get out. :)
This program would be perfect for me, because although I already exercise and eat healthily, I have some extremely stubborn fat that just WILL NOT go away. Even though I do exercise, I’m still not quite what you’d call “fit”. A lot of people I know tease me about my belly, specifically because I do these healthy things but I’m still soft. I need to learn how to exercise more effectively and how to maximize the benefits of my diet so I can get rid of this pudge without having to exercise myself into the ground!
