Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.
Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?
I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.
Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them. Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”
Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.
(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Joel I’m on a mission to lose the last 15kgs (33 pounds) I’m 6’0 and weigh 105kgs currently and want to get down to 90kgs or there abouts. Since January I’ve lost 30kgs (66lbs). I’ve been on a workout combination of Strong lifts 5×5 and intense cardio on an eliptical trainer. Seems to be working quite well but my wieghts platued a bit I think because im not eating enough. So I’m upping my daily intake slightly and going to zigzag the calories a bit more so my body doesn’t go into starvation mode!
I’m 6’1″ and my weight is 207 pounds with 18% body fat. I want to drop the body fat % to 12% or even better single digit if at all possible. At the same time though i want to maintain my muscle. I don’t care about the scale number. All i care is the body fat to be finally gone.
I will drop at least 1 pants size.
Iam 46 years of age.and weight is 56 kg and height 155cm. I would like to drop my body fat% and my weight.
My goal is to loose 20 pounds and get in shape.
To reach that goal I intent to work out 6 times a week, “move around” as much as possible (use my bike for transport, walking, etc), use your 5 sneaky tricks to triple fat loss and prevent a plateau, drink plenty of water and have watermelon days weekly to give my digestion some peace.
Also I’ll learn more about digestion and thyroid, as I have some problems with those.

I hope to lose at least 5 kg. Currently 68kg. My cholesterol levels were higher than they should be so i am also reducing fats in my diet, especially saturated.
Hoping to reduce my belly fat by doing so also. (Have had 3 children).
I will be 49 yrs old, 6ft and 200 lbs. Have lost 55 lbs since Feb and want to drop about another 10 lbs, but more interested in total look and not weight.
Over the next 16 weeks I am aiming to tone up my body and gain some muscle mass for the rugby season ahead (around 5kg or even more if possible) :)
Currently i am 16 years old, 5 foot 8 and weighing about 63kg. Over the next 16 weeks I am aiming to tone up my body and gain some muscle mass for the rugby season ahead (around 5kg or even more if possible) :)
I am 5’11” and 185 lbs. age 55 and Flabby. Most fat is around the stomach but chest is also flabby. I would like to lose it and gain muscle and weigh 175. Weight is not crucial as long as I look and feel great. Is a three times a week, half hour work out good enough? I do not know but as one who has had chronic fatigue issues in my history three days might be a challenge. Please advise.
My 16 week goals are to drop 10lbs of fat and add 5 lbs of muscle. Double my chin ups and add 2 days of sprints to my training.
My goal is to drop two dress sizes from a 12 to an 8. I don’t care what my weight is as long as I don’t have a lot of fat and can look good in a size 8, or maybe a 6. I’ll be 55 next month and am 5′ 3″ and walk everyday but have started strength training and added a little more cardio. I eat pretty healthy but just too much. I want to be fit and trim! 16 weeks is a perfect amount of time to do this. I CAN do it!
I’m 65 years old and in the next 16 weeks I will turn 66, continue to work every day, and take a 3 weeks vacation in France. So my goals are to lose 16 pounds during this 16 weeks, to begin a different kind of dialogue with my husband (with the help of a moderator) and to have a memorable vacation near Paris.
I am 64 years and have not done very many exercises in my life, I am ashamed to admit. Started your program of 25 day extreme weight loss at 212. The only exercises I concentrated on were looseners, Daton stretches a few kettle bell swings and a series of upper body presses from the Bill Phillips web site. In the 25 days I lost 15 pounds and 9 and 1/2 inches. What exercise porgram do you recommend for those just starting to exercise and wanting to loose 50 lbs. I wore a size 18 and want to wear a size 10 and be 145lbs in 16 weeks. I am 5’9″ tall. Thanks. Your program is great.
Joel,
My goal is to lose 4 inches around my waist. I measured a 41.25″ waist on July 2, 2011. At this point, I’m using the Extreme Fat Loss Plan to lose fat & inches around my waist. This is my second round of EFL after a 24 day break. One of the things I’ve learned is that when we “do” the right things and employ the best strategies, it’s just a matter of time… Thanks for your encouragement and support!
I am dying to get back to where i was last summer after i did the xfld, and isabelle’s DSP! at the end of last summer i started going back to college and then my husband returned from afghanistan… I know excuses excuses. But those two things left me high and dry in the weight loss department. I still eat very healthy with the occasional indulgence, but have pretty much gained back all the wieght I had lost, without the excersize. I am determined as ever to regain that body from last summer! my body is packed with muscle but its under this horrific layer of fat and any tips on how to jst loose the fat and not gain any more muscle would be great!
My goal is to lose 100 lbs. by this time next year. I’m 5’8 and weight 235. I just lost 18 lbs and have more energy. I know that with stretching and light weights, and walking a proper diet and nutritional plan I can not fail. Thanks for all the advice. It has helped. I had a accident with complications to my body and muscle damage, but i’m healing. I an see my goals clearer now. Thank you.
I’ve been on doing a 12 week transformation. Just recently finished. You can see my results on my blog http://www.athomemuscle.com
My goals were to lose belly fat while gaining muscle. I lost over 2 1/2″ on my waist while adding size to my arms, chest, shoulders, etc.
Time to plan my next 12 weeks (or 16)
Hi Joel,
I am 21 years old and weigh 96kg / 211pounds, my goal is to weigh at least 85kg / 187 pounds. I gym everyday during the week. What i would like is to loose this excess weight loosing muscle is easy to gain back, but would rather keep as much as I have since i want to accurately loose the weight and get a much more toned body. Many thanks!
Hi,
I’m 17 years old and around 5ft7. I currently weight around 70kg and my bum is around 40 inches big :(
I’m hoping to achieve a 34-35inch bum, so I can achieve my dream as a model… I don’t really care about how much I weigh, I just need to get the model measurements!!! If I can lose 1cm each week, I should be able to achieve this. I also need to stop my food binging – I’ve been really bad at this recently, and I haven’t been able to control my cravings. This week is a FRESH start!
Thanks for all your help.
I’m visualizing what my high school weight was & how great I felt at it 10+ years ago. Since my husband and I lost our jobs, I packed on the pounds & also added a member to our family: my daughter who’s almost 8 months old. My sister is getting married Oct 2nd and as matron of honor, I really want to feel good in whatever I’m wearing and have the energy to keep up with my daughter, as well as be a good example for her & the rest of my family (who also struggle with weight). I weigh 215 lbs (UGH!) and am 5’6. My eventual goal is 140, but I’d settle for 175 for the wedding. I start tomorrow & plan on pushing myself to the max! I want to say bub-bye to size 18/16’s forever and get back to a size 10! Here’s hoping this works!
My goal is to lose overall 37-40 pounds, and get a tight toned body.
