Since I began my fat loss journey three weeks ago, I have torched an inch and a half off my waist. My goal for the next 16 weeks is to drop another two and a half inches so I can be a size five in jeans. I want to continue doing HIIT cardio and spike up the intensity of my workouts. I’m talking quick bursts of crazy speed.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

Hi;
I am 51 going on 52 in September.I have already lost 50 lbs (was at 174) and am 5’2″too short for all that fat.I am not really caring about my body weight as much as I am looking at body fat %.I am struggling with this fat that seems to want to stick around it reminds me of a bicycle tire tube and it goes around my belly and back.My goal is to GET RID OF IT!!!! I am building muscle and eating pretty clean.I want to be lean and fit which equals healthy bones, skin etc….My desire is also to be an encouragement to those who are older and feel that they are too late to be the best they can be.All the best to you who are giving it your all.
In three intense weeks, I’ve torched an inch and a half off my waist. My goal for the next 16 weeks is to drop another 2 inches from my waist and add ten pounds of pure muscle to my frame.
I am a 5 ‘6″, 41 year old female and I weigh 127 pounds. I am in the best shape of my life thanks to CYWT principles and interval weight training, but I would love to define my arms and abs more while lifting and toning up my flat tush. My Tanita scale says I am around 20 percent body fat and I would love to get down to 18 percent in the next 16 weeks.
I think that’s absolutely correct and very true. If I want to achieve my goals, I better write them down and be accountable for them.
Therefore, I am about 5’7 and I am somewhere around 160ish lbs. I don’t find wright to be so important. I am sixteen years old and I have started my own re-construction for a couple of years now. After thinking long and hard, I find that my goals are to first, have a healthy body, in and out. I want to look healthy. I want people to look at me and notice that i have worked to be where I’m at.
So, my goals for the next 16-weeks is to reduce my body fat into single digits. I am unsure about where i stand now but i will find out soon. Also, i would like to lose at most, around 5 pounds of fat and gain muscle. I would like to personally gain more definition to my muscles. I will Eat healthier and limit any set backs. I want to take a photo with my shirt off for once and be proud of how I look.
I’m 5’9 and weigh at 146klbs, my goal is to be 160+lbs all muscle. Lastly I also want to make my endurance higher.
I purchased Joel Marion’s program Eat Your Way Thin because I love the idea of a CHEAT DAY once a week. I am 66 years old 5’1″ tall and currently weigh 124 pounds after loosing 25 pounds last March 2010-September 2010. The food plan on his program is very similar to one I used to loose the weight however I am bored with the portion of the program I used that helps maintain weight loss. I am hoping to instead maintain my weight and loose 2 more pounds on Joel’s Eat Your Way Thin! If you are my age and friends and family are telling you you can’t loose weight because of your age “Don’t believe them!”. I feel great now that I have returned to a weight I am comfortable with! Follow Joel Marion’s Cheat Your Way Thin, Keep a daily food journal and you will be successful! I promise! My 4 week goal is to loose the 2 additional pounds and my week 5 – week 16 is to have maintained this weight (121)!
i want to get down to 8% body fat and stack on atleast 3-5 kg’s of muscle. Am on a awesome diet and good training program. 16 weeks is 4 months away just before i go on hoilday to thailand so hopefully will be looking awesome by then :)
My goal is to continue to lose bodyfat. I was 242 and have dropped to 226 using your cycle fat loss program. I plan to weigh in at 210 when I complete my transformation. At 6′ 1″, I will be shredded. By the way I am 62 years old and as strong now as when I was in college.
Hey,
I’m 18 years old and my goal is to lose body fat and gain about 5-10 pounds of lean muscle!
I would like to loose 80 pounds and firm up at the same time.
After yet another course of steroids need to get back on track and lose weight any would be a start and build my strength up again slowly. I just want to be slimmer.
Hi Joel, I am 27 and have been battling my weight for what seems like most of my life. I am 5’6″, 170lbs. I am proportioned really well(thank goodness) but am uncomfortable and unhappy with how I feel. My goal is to lose 35-45lbs.
My goasl for this 16 weeks are the both, gain muscle and lose fat. My body fat should be around 9%, and i will turn it to at least a 7%.
And I hope to pack some pounds of muscle, at least 7-10
I have been working out (yesterday started by 15th week) every day with only wednesdays off. I am doint the turbofire with chalene johnson. I have on ly missed 2 days since I started. I am 55 years old and I weigh 154 (now) 5’2″. I just want to look unbelievable for my age. I want to lose the thighs, ass and a handful of flab on my stomach. I try to watch what I eat but I’m morfe disciplined at working out than watching what I’m eating. When I startd this workout I was 166 lbs. Could you imagine how much I would have lost if I watched my food intake?? I try to use your info on which foods are good for you but I have NO willpower. I will not give up though and I will keep up the turbofire routine. How do you say no to food?????
I am currently about 5’9.5″ with a body fat percentage of 11.21%. I am relatively lean for my arms (when i wear tanktops people say i look jacked) but i am still unable to take off my shirt, (due to my lil gut..) within 16 weeks, i hope to lower my body fat percentage to 8.5%, with a nice complimentary 6 pack (or 8 lol)
I want to lose around 20 lbs. I am 5ft 8inches and currently weigh 198lbs. I have begun eating more healthy with the eat clean diet and I am noticing a difference already. However, I suck at working out/exercising with any regularity. I want to try to start incorporating that into my busy day.
Ok, my goal is get back in shape… I want a very nice, lean body, with a wonderful, amazing six pack… I’m not that tall, I’m just 5’9 and I’m about 160 lb. I’m not looking to get big, just very lean. Of course, I want more volume in legs and but and arms… but just a little. I want to improve my cardio, I’m quiting smoke and so far is good, I was smoking like 20 at day, today, only one… but my goal is none… never again for the rest of my life.. Ahhh I’m 42 years old… I believe I can make it, or, am I dreaming?
My 16 week goal is to lose my last 15 – 20 pounds while gaining muscle. I have lost 30+ pounds in the last two years. Now I want to get rid of that last circle of torso fat, which is tougher to do when you are as old as I am: 57….
In the next 4 weeks, I will start with the xtreme diet…. After that, we shall see!!! I have the Final Phase workouts and basically plan to keep rotating thru those and some others I have, also using my protein shakes for meal replacements.
I want and need to loose 60-70 lbs and want to loose at least 40lbs over the next 16 weeks, I want to tone up andheal my knee injury.
good luck everyone!
I am proudly 60 years old and want to lose 25 pounds and tone up the bits that are starting get wobbly! My goal is to exercise daily and to eat more healthy foods during the next 16 weeks.
I’d like to lose at least 10 lbs tone and build back my endurance. Had surgery on both feet (at same time) and it’s been a very long trying time waiting for them to heal enough to start exercising and walking again!
I have had a significant layoff due to depression and what we now know is a bulging disc in my lower lumbar region.
My 16 week goal has several prongs:
1. Get my back healthy again. I will know this when the numbness in my right leg disappears and I can again begin to take long walks.
2. Commit to DAILY exercise with the hope/goal of 100% success but being very happy with 90% sucess.
3. Breaking the habit of late night eating.
4. Taking my supplements FAITHFULLY.
5. Eat good quality protein, eggs, greek yoghurt, beans, skim milk, veggies, oatmeal, yams, apples, berries, grapefruit, green leafies, brightly colored fruits and veg, flax seed, chia seed, pumpkin, and basically plant foods, a LITTLE good fat (not nuts; trigger food!!) and high quality proteins, and FIBER
90% of the time.
I lose and gain weight very very slowly. I would be VERY HAPPY with a drop of even 12 scale pounds in 16 weeks. I think a loss of 14 pounds of body fat and gain of two pounds of muscle (I have a lean body mass of 110 pounds. Am pretty happy with current muscle mass) would be the right mix.
There I WROTE it.
I am 6 foot. 150 pounds. My goal is to gain 5-10 pounds of quality lean muscle in the next 6 weeks. I’m pretty ripped now but I want to keep working at it
I started working with you in April and it has been a great experience. I have lost 18 pounds, 6 inches and feel better than I have since I got married 9 years ago and stopped exercising. I used to be a mountain biker but that was 50 pounds ago. I am now in my mid 60’s with a heart problem and will never be that fit again but I plan to lose another 25 pounds and then I am going to have pink streaks dyed in my hair. I will only be 49 years young then!
