What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

My body fat % at the moment is 27.75%. I have actually reduced it recently by 5%, but the weird thing is that I haven’t gone down in weight. So I have stopped using weight as a way of measuring progress and instead I am using the size of my waist. I have broken my goals down into weekly increments, about a 1/4 of an inch a week. I am short, so it’s actually a pretty reaching goal, but it seems less daunting than the weight. So in 16 weeks I want to have lost 4 inches from my waist. I estimate that that will bring my body fat % down to about 20% or so, maybe a little less.

I have been losing weight but seem to have reached a plateau. I have been at the same weight for 8 weeks no matter what I do. It would be great just managing to break the wall that I hit even if the weight loss isn’t dramatic or fast.

Hi, I’m 6’2″ and currently weigh 175 lbs. I think that weight is just about perfect, but I want to become leaner adding 7-8 lbs of muscle and subtracting that much fat over the next 16 weeks.

tHE TEASER HEADLINES ARE GREAT TO GET ME INTERESTED; BUT IT WOULD BE NICE IF THE VIDEOS THAT FOLLOWED WOULD COME TO THE POINT AND BOTTOM LINE. IF YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT THESE THREE FOODS; THEN TELL ME THOSE FOODS AT THE BEGINNING. I DISLIKE HAVING TO WADE THROUGH 20 MINUTES OF VIDEO TO BE TOLD I NOW HAVE TO PURCHASE SOMETHING TO GET THE INFORMATION THAT WAS PROMISED.

Hello Joel,

I am 5’6″ and 54 years old, I weigh approximately 135 lbs. at 25.2% body fat on my Health O Meter, some of my other scales my body fat will come in anywhere from 19% to 23.5% on the Taylor and on the Omron anywhere from 14% to 20.3%, I will be sticking with the Health O Meter even though I like my lieing cheating Omron better, use to be a pear shape not so much anymore. My goal is to loose 10 lbs. of fat and try to bring my L.B. M. up to around 105 lbs. What would be really great is if my skin would suck up more then it has for losing 60 lbs. over the 3 years and 4 months, afraid my age and genetics is going to have it’s way with me.

Continue with the program I’ve started to lean down more while also building muscle, continue my cleaner eating program and drop 10 more pounds of fat.

My goal is to lose the last 10 pounds since my last pregnancy and be as lean as possible. I see you emphasize a lot about losing belly fat (which is great for the guys) but not too much about leaning out hips and thighs. I work out about 12 hours a week (combo of 5 mile runs, HIT and circuit training, zumba, pilates, weight training with up to 15 pound dumbells but can’t seem to break through my plateau to be lean, not bulky.

I have asthma and was put on medications that have made me gain weight combine that with not being able to breath and I am now in the worst shape of my life. I have always been an athlete and in shape so it is depressing and I am ready to change it. I am breathing much better now and am committed to getting my body fat % down to what it was before and feeling strong and healthy again. It is hard to get moving again after being sedentary for so long and hard to stay motivated when the changes come so much slower now that I am 43 but I need to stay committed to pull myself out of this.

My goal is to continue losing 2lbs or more a week. It’s really tough at times because I have fibromyalgia, so the exercise part I have to watch not to push myself too hard, or else I’ll end up bedridden for a day or two. The total weight lost isn’t as important to me as gaining muscle and becoming stronger. At my last weigh in, I’d lost 5lbs – doesn’t sound like much, but I’ve also lost 6 3/4″ total from my arms, bust, waist, hips and legs. This is the first time in 4 years I’ve been able to actually lose weight and gain muscle! I also appreciate your customer sales team – I was getting discouraged in the first 2 weeks, and they really helped!

Hi Joel,

I am 24 years, little less than 160cm, and about 148lbs. My goal weight is 110lb by the end of this year. About a month ago, I had lost about 5lbs but gained it back during my vacation overseas. But now, I am back to my regular fitness routine and eating my usual healthy well portioned meals. I need to lose weight mainly from my back/upper body and tummy. I know I can be successful as long as I stay on track and stay away from excessive snacking (Even though they may be healthy snacks, I am in front of a computer for long periods of time, and I have a tendency to snack mindlessly).

Joel, I am a woman, now going on 56, and in the past I tried a program, followed it perfectly, and hit a plateau after 6 weeks and the plateau lasted over 5 weeks. I got so discouraged that I stopped that program and even gained more weight back than I lost initially. Can your program really blast me through a plateau and this time provide me with success? I am not a slacker, just discouraged. Thanks!

My goal is to lose 20 pounds of fat and build 3 stones of muscle

Lose the last stubborn fat to reveal my bottom two abs for the full 8-pack and show more definition in my all muscles. I have abandoned my goal from March to go from 175lbs to 190 after reaching 186lbs and deciding to cut the fat. My other goal is to run 8 km under 35 minutes like it did 7 years ago and obtaining that goal will likely bring me to reach the first one as well.

I am 46 years and currently about 40lbs overweight (in my opinion). My 16 week goal is to lose 40lbs of fat, (mostly from my hips and thighs) gain some nice lean muscle, get into a size 6 again and run a 9 1/2 minute mile (I’m not a very fast runner). I would very much like to achieve this before my next physical training test in October.

My goal is to get down to 120lbs and build some muscle. That means losing about 10 lbs. The lowest weight that I’ve ever been was 116 lbs, but I didn’t stay there for very long. I started my weight loss at 165, reaching 130 lbs and staying there for the last 2 years. It’s time to lose the last 10 lbs.

Hey Joel ,
My goals for this summer is to loose the ‘spare tire’ and increase my tone and fitness , despite the fact that my girlfriends like me the way I am at the moment… is this a conflict of interests??

My goal is to lose 35 – 40 lbs in the next 16 weeks.

My goal is to get my health under control. Thryroid problems, high blood pressure, and weight gain. My eating habits are improving, now to improve my activity level. I plan to start walking and eventually turn that into running.

Hi Joel!
Thank you for all the tips you send, first of all!! My goal for 16 weeks started a few weeks ago already……October 31, my goal is to reach my target weight of 135, a loss of 23 pounds right now, and to be participating in two Zumba classes and two kickboxing classes per week. I may adjust that to four Zumba classes rather than doing both but I will be hitting at least that many classes per week regularly.
Again, thanks!!!
Annie
