I am mostly interested in gaining muscle in a healthy, balanced way. I am a Massage Therapist and I know the importance of balanced, healthy muscles for your joints as well as for healthy movement of daily life. I like good muscle development for the aesthetic view as well. I don’t find “skinny people” all that attractive to me. I have seen pics of Flavia and she has an awesome physique.
My goal is to continue with my fat loss. I am currently 264 and hope to be down to 223 which would be a 42 pound loss. I have lost 49 pounds since March 21 of this year.
In the next 16 weeks…I will be 30 lbs lighter. I love my bike and
will commit to doing 25 miles/day with one day being 60 miles.
Hi!
I’m 25 years old. My height is 189cm and my weight 83 kgs. I’m not really sure about my goal, but i want to be fit wothout becoming enormous. Losing some fat would be welcome (as I’ve got some belly).
I want to reduce my weight in 40 pounds I have already lost 34 lbs in 10 weeks with the DSP. I am 65 years old , diabetic and with what I have achieved my doctor told me to stop using insulin.
I am currently at 152 pounds and 32% bodyfat. My goal over the next 16 weeks is to gain one pound of muscle so that my lean mass is 103 pounds and to lose 12 pounds of fat bringing my body fat percentage down to about 26%. I will over the next 16 weeks be doing crossfit workouts three days per week or more and some additional weight training and cardio sprint intervals as well. I will be on a diet of organic meats, eggs, fruits vegetables nuts and seeds. I will eat lean meats and green veggies only on some of the days to limit calories and I will feast on more fruits and paleo cookies and higher fat cuts of meat on cheat days about once or twice per week to have fun and boost metabolism hormones. Thank you for all your awesome programs!
My 16 week goal is to lose 5kg and drop a dress size by losing some cms off my waist and hips. I want to be in shape for Christmas!
@ Emily:
that sounds very discouraging emily :( I’d like to help if I can! :)
you said you gained weight during XFLD and Flavia’s workouts; is it fat gain, or did you gain muscle?
Maybe what you need is a less extreme approach to both your diet and your exercise program. Have you tried Cheat Your Way Thin??? No I’m not trying to help Joel sell more, but I have followed CYWT with great results and it is a more conservative version of XFLD. It is more of a lifestyle diet rather than a sprint to burn as much fat as you can. And there are no fast days in it so that might also help with your extreme sleepiness at times. Touching on that point a little more, it might also help to take an energy supplement/fat burner when you start feeling like that which gives you natural energy plus the benefit of a raised metabolism thus burning more fat and helping your cause more! :) a good one is “metabolism” by prograde. But again if you don’t want to spend more money on supplements and the like, you could always brew some green tea (with no sugar of course) and stick it in the fridge, and just have a few cups of iced green tea throughout your day.
And lastly, about the workouts. You said you’ve tried many different workouts and have never really gotten great results from them, and have still somehow managed to gain weight! I would suggest doing HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts as they are the type of workouts that burn the most amount of calories overall. And most of them are not geared toward much muscle gain so you shouldn’t have any problem with gaining weight. A great blog to checkout is bodyrock.tv! It is completely free and they have hundreds of HIIT style workouts posted, all on video and explained very thoroughly. They are fairly short (most around 20 mins or less) but very intense, require very little equipment and are actually pretty fun too as they are always changing. They also have nutrition tips, lifestyle changes and they are just a great couple to follow. I highly recommend you to checkout their site! Once you see what amazing shape Suzanna is in with only doing the workouts she posts on the site I’m sure you’ll at least be intrigued. Best of all it’s completely free so you have nothing to lose!
I hope some of this will help you Emily as I know how frustrating it is when you are working hard towards a goal and are not seeing results! See which of my tips (I’d like to think all of them haha) work best for you, stick with it, work hard, and I’m sure you’ll start seeing the scale move in the other direction! Best of luck! Remember, we’re all in this race towards achieving a better body together! :)

My goal for the next 16 weeks is to (hopefully) lose 15 lbs. I realize that body weight is not the most important factor and that is why I say hopefully. I want to continue to gain more fitness and health through healthy eating and continuing to exercise regularly. I would be happy with just continuing to lose fat and gain muscle even if that means I don’t necessarily lose much weight. I also want to get my knee re-strengthened and in better shape (after a recent injury). Those are my goals.
My goals for the next 16 weeks are to lose 15 pounds and fat. I want to tone up my muscles but the lose of fat is a priority. We will be on teh road for anothre 4 weeks and making wise decisions in restaurants and a friends homes are important to me!

Goals: by November 1st I will be a size 8 from a size 16. I will be able to run for 3 miles without stopping to catch my breath. I will be scheduling my exercises before I go to do them with what and how I am going to do it. With timed intervals and rest periods between. I am going to have muscles and shape, a flat belly, toned and sexy buns legs arms shoulders chest and back. I am going to be saving money by making good delicious food at home and using all the exercise equipment videos and machines I already have. On Nov 1 I am going to buy myself all new clothes.
I’m 20kgs overweight and in the next 16weeks I want to lose those 20kgs and have a lean frame after that. By doing high intensity intervals, weight training, fun sports and eating right.
I recently went from 225lbs (34% Bodyfat) to 180lbs (15% Bodyfat) in a matter of 8 weeks. My goal is to continue another 8 weeks and reach 160lbs (6% BodyFat). Ultimately, losing a total of 28% Bodyfat and 65 lbs. The numbers are amazing when you break it down and analyze the progress. Anything’s possible when you eat clean, incorporate cardio and weight training.

I am 41 years old, and have lost 55lbs in the last 6 1/2 months. Now I need to really concentrate on the body fat. I still have approx. 80 lbs to go, and I know once the body fat starts to shed, this will make a huge difference. I do cardio 4 days a week, and weights 3 days a week, and am adding jogging and bike riding to my workout. I will also be adding boxing, I used to do that, and it really seemed to get me in great shape, it’s been about 11 years, but I really miss that rush! Wish me luck!!!
I’d like to lose 30 lbs and and get down to 19% BF ( I am ~ 25% now) and gain a sexy tight physique like Flavia, she is gorgeous. Thanks for all your encouragement and teaching.
Hi Joel,
My overall goal is to reduce my bodyfat without losing LBM. Since May, I lost 6 Kg with XFLD. It was damn hard and I’m not sure I’ll repeat a cycle, but I think I’m on my way to finding the right track and I would like to drop 7Kg in the next 16 weeks. I have a big business meeting in mid- October and I want to look my absolute best.
Steph (Germany)

I have always looked quite lean even at 140 lbs. Last year I got up to 148lbs and it began to be noticeable for the first time in my stomach area. I did follow Isabel De Los Rios’s diet and went down to 133 lbs in a very short time. Now I look too thin. My goal is to flatten my stomach a bit and to gain back some of the muscle I have lost. Also to strengthen my upper body.
