What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

Hi, Need to lose at least 25 pounds but can’t do it right now since I’m having a flare up with Reiters Syndrome Arthritis. Haven not been able to exercise for two weeks but after one more week should get back to normal and start exercising again.

Reiters Syndrome Arthritis is the opposite of Rheumotoid which occurs very severe overnight and gradually clears up in six to eight weeks. I originally had it eight weeks about 30 years ago. My doctors told me I would never get any other type of arthritis and would never have the Reiters again as bad as the original episode but could have flare ups over the years. So that’s what I’m having now.

Hey Joel,

My goal is to get into single-digit bodyfat while maintaining a weight of 165-170lbs. Currently at 172.2 lbs at 16.7% bodyfat. So I guess my true goal is to gain 7-11lbs of muscle while losing 14lbs of fat. That’s my first goal!

My second goal (once that has been achieved) is to gain 20-30lbs of muscle and take my physique to a whole ‘nuther level! I know I can achieve this with the help of guys like you, Dr. Berardi, Vince Delmonte, Nick Nilsson, Jason Ferruggia… and all the other guys proving that ectomorphs can overcome their hardgainer genetics if they have the will and the determination!

Thanks for all the great info….
Brandon

I want to lose fat and gain muscle. That’s always been my goal since I did the BFL transformation challenge 7 years ago. I do yoga, use my bowflex, ride bikes, walk, and try to eat healthy. I’d like to weigh between 190-200 lbs and have 10% body fat.

Want to lose fat and gain muscle. Basically, I want to stay my weight (113) but lose the fat weight for muscle. I’m doing this by going to the gym, but I also want to start dieting as well to lose the fat. :)

I’m about to turn 42 and start a power yoga teacher training class at the end of August (Ashtanga style of yoga practice).
I’d like to be as much in shape as possible to start the training and need to lose some body fat. My goal is to lose between 15 to 20 pounds in 16 weeks without losing the energy I need to keep up with my yoga training.

Hi Joel,

I’m trying to lose 25-30 lbs. I’m 48 years old and fighting the whole… “I’m getting older” thing. I’d love to feel my younger, sexy more confident self. My excuse up to this point, and I know its an excuse, is that I travel. I’ve never been in a routine and eating healthy has been a bit of a challenge.

My husband is cute and says he loves me no matter what, but when I don’t love myself, I know I create issues. So there are my reasons for finding fitness.

I also have a sore knee. Any thoughts about working out when a part of your body is hurt? Should I continue to lift arm weights? What kind of cardio is possible without straining my swollen, sore knee?

Thanks for the inspirational messeages. I read them all.

In the next 16 weeks I would like to lose 40 pounds. I currently weigh 228 and am 5 feet 8. I need to begin to eat correctly and exercise also. I am 53 years old and would love to look better for the family pics this Christmas! My first grandchild will be born this week. After 30 years of marriage, my husband deserves a more sexy, trim, healthy wife. Thanks Joel.

I have really been struggling to lose fat but the process seems not going because most of the exercises you talk of are not in our gyms in our town in cameroon. Are there no other exercises that could be done in remote areas? My weight is 76 and my height is 164. It is too much for me and i look very urgly in my out fits.
try do something to help me. thanks for your help. I am from a very poor family no money to afford the work outs you prescribe.

I started on your plan June 1st and have lost 7.2 lbs so far (WOOHOO) (by the way, I sent you an email with a question, but I never got a response). My ultimate goal is to have a body fat % in the 20s or teens, and weigh whatever I need to weigh, to look healthy. I’m shooting for a size 4 (currently a size 14). I figured I have a little less than 60 lbs to go. It’s probably not a 16 week goal, as I think it will take longer, but it is nonetheless a goal! One I WILL reach this time (although sometimes it seems so far away).

Hey Joel – thanks for the good info! My goal is to spend the summer (and beyond) sticking to your recommended CheatYourWayThin eating plan and performing muscle building exercises at least 3, if not 4 days a week. That combo should keep me on the right track. If agreed to one pound a week – that would be 16 lbs. by the end, right? That’s my goal!

I currently weigh 235 am 5’7″. I want to lose about 30lbs of fat and it would be nice to maintain the muscle I currently have.

My goal is to lose a total of 100 lbs of fat. I’m thinking that my goal for 16 weeks should be 30 lbs. 10 lbs per month.

My 16 week goal is to drop 25 pounds and keep all the muscle that I have. My goal is to drop this weight in a way to keep it off so that I am able to be exactly how I want to be for my wedding.
