Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

My goal is to get in the best shape as possible for me before the 1st of august.
Been cutting down for about 6 weeks now. Going good, although I’d rather shed off the fat a little bit faster! Using the Intermittent Fasting approach (16h fast, 8h eating window). Training fasted when I can.

I don’t look like I weigh that much, I didn’t even know that I weighed that much till 2 days ago when I checked my BMI. I am over-weight (even though I don’t look it) and I am really concerned about that.
I want to work on my weight before it’s too late. I don’t want to grow older and ever have to suffer from my weight.
I want to feel good and happy with myself and not weigh so much. I had some knee problems then I got into a car accident at some point which made it all that worse. My weight must’ve added to the knee issue then too.
My goal, is to drop 20 kgs (get down to 60.9kg / 134lb) or more, if possible and fit into a size 8 or 6 (UK size….I can fit into size 12s). I want to be fit! It’ll make my life a whole lot better.

I am 5’5 weighing 140. I am a college student and my goal is to lose about 20 lbs before I graduate.
You’re absolutely right that written goals, especially those that are looked at regularly, have much more chance of success. Thanks for reminding me of this. Also, as a permanent student, I’ve been taught that goals should be SMART – you know: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-constrained. In the next 16 weeks I want to lose 32lbs, i.e. 2lbs per week. I think this conforms to being a smart goal. Of course, what isn’t covered in smart goals is HOW to achieve them. I’m aiming to eat healthily and stick to a ‘normal’ calorie consumption, starting with a baseline of about 2000 cals – I’ll adjust this depending on what the scales do. I’ll be taking regular cardio exercise and starting a weights routine. 16 weeks is a long time, so I’ll review every 4 weeks.
My sister is getting married in Cabo San Lucas in 16 weeks and 3 days. I was at 180 a few months ago and set my goal back then to get to 138 lbs by her wedding. I have 16 lbs to go! A pound a week sounds doable. I’d also like to tone my arms and abs so I can get me a bikini.
I’ve started back working out with my Personal Trainer, AND on other days doing Flavia’s workouts, I am also working up to a half marathon in mid August.
If I am not on schedule by Sept I will be doing your Xtreme Fat Loss Diet, and maybe I’ll do it to push my goal and get me to 130 WOW!
I can’t get past day 2 of Xtreme Fat Loss. It does my head in. My goal is to get past it and go on to loose 15kg in 16 weeks.
I am 6′ 204 as of 7/11/11 with probably + 20% body fat – 51 years old. I am very active, lift and ride. I want to get lean and strong. I started the XFLD with a goal of losing as much body fat as possible and gain muscle weight. My 4 month goal is get to around 10%body fat and bench 200lbs. Love your stuff! My goal is to rid myself of 20lbs of fat and ramp my strenght back up using p90x and chalene extreme.
I’m 5ft 4″ and weigh 14 1/2 stone, in the next 16 weeks i want to lose 30 pounds. i started back in the gym 3 weeks ago and so far have lost 7 pounds but hope i can lose more pounds per week now that i have got my eating sorted.

I see where someone wants to lose 100 pounds in the next 16 weeks. Well, this might be tough, but they can come darn close. I managed to lose 87 pounds in the last 5 months, and went from a size 44 pant to a size 33. My personal goal the next 16 is to finish losing that last 5 pounds in the belly and to gain 5 pounds of muscle. I am doing HIIT several times a week and my legs, arms and chest are tender from my workouts so I know I am doing some good. I will get there, eventually, with my revamped, healthy diet and 5 day a week workouts, it is just a matter of time. If I can do it, I know others can also!
I am 41 and weigh 171 pounds, which is almost as much as my husband. My BMI is 37. I would like to start by losing 20 pounds in 16 weeks and lowering my BMI.
I need to lose 8 kg over the next 2 months.
I am 6′-0″, 180 (down from 194 on Jan 1 thanks to the 1000 Calorie Challenge workout and diet) I’ve maintained at 178-182 for 4 months. Had my BF checked and it’s “high” at 16.8. In the next 16 weeks, my goal is 12%, not as concerned about weight, but I’d like 1.75″ on my chest (currently 42.25) and 2″ off my waist measurement (currently 33.5).
In all truth, putting on weight – in muscle – is my goal, but so is losing fat. So far my nutrition [read caloric intake] has given me a deficit and I’m heating much more healthily. I’ve stopped losing a ton of weight, so my assumption is that the “maintenence” is my body building mass through muscle. I haven’t taken any photos in awhile, so maybe I need to do that. I see myself everyday, so I haven’t noticed much change. Measurements tell me minorly encouraging things, gotta keep fightin the fight against fat I guess.
My goal is to lose about 10 pounds and hopefully that will be belly fat. Before the end of 16 weeks I will be 73 years old. Ultimately, I hope to lose 20 pounds.
Personal Goals For The Next 8 Weeks
My 3 T’s
1. To lose another 5% bodyfat in 8 weeks (Exactly 0.625% Per week) and finally reveal my full set of abs
2. To maintain my muscle mass
3. To Clean up my diet even further than it currently is by making minor alterations
I need to lose 25-30 lbs. I have already lost 75 lbs. I need to tone up, lose fat and build muscle. I would also like to lose more belly fat. I am at a standstill with weight loss right now.
Hmm. Ok, here it is: my goal is to keep my weight-gain to a minimum as I go through my 6th pregnancy and to ‘get my body back’ quickly after the baby is born in Oct. I have learned a lot about ‘how to eat’ since my 5th pregnancy and as a result, my weight today is much less than it was at this point before, but I need to do better with exercise. Today I will embrace my goal and go back to yoga class this morning.
I am currently 140# and 21%BF…my goal over the next 16 weeks is to get to 16% BF! I am excited…thank you Joel!
I always have goals about either pounds or inches and falter or fail completely. Since the weather is nice being summer here in MN, I figure I will set a goal to work on a habit that will help with with the goals that I have faltered or failed at in the past. My goal over the next 16 weeks is to gain a habit of running….16 weeks sounds like a good time frame to start walking and work my way into running which I know will help with my other goals of pounds and inches lost.
