What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I need a 3 – day week workout to maintain my great gains I’ve made but still allow me time for summer/fall fun outside. Then I’ll hit it hard in my home gym when it’s too cold to go out and play.

I am approaching my 51st Birthday and am feeling better now than I have in quite a few years since doing the Xtreme Fat Loss 25 day program. However, I’ve only seen a few lbs come off on the scale although I do have increased muscle tone. I’m 5’9″ and my current weight is about 175 lb. My goal is to continue losing fat and gaining muscle tone, but I’d like to see some progress on the scale of about 15-20 lb. Still trying to figure out the aging female hormone/menopause thing. I think that is what’s holding me back.

Hi
I am 5’7″ and weigh 155lbs. I want to lose body fat down to 8% and have been on the 25lb fat loss plan. Unfortunately, I am a distance cyclist and when I am riding for 6 hours at a time, I can’t follow the plan because I will crash.
My goal is to lose more body fat and maintain my bicycle training schedule with a proper sustainable nutrition. The fat loss plan is good if all you are doing is some weights or non endurance workouts but is not good for endurance or time trial racers.

I have been steadily changing my eating habits and improving fitness program now since January. I have already seen great results(40lbs). And in 4 months I would like to be another 20 lbs lighter. Though that is only a number, since I am doing this to be healthier, and more physically fit. My confidence is up and my size is going down!

Am 65, have Lyme disease, osteoarthritis, and other troubles. I plan to lose at least 10 pounds in 16 weeks and to double my exercise in the pool. At this point I’d be happy just to see a downward weight trend and to feel stronger while fighting the Lyme symptoms. Everybody: watch out for ticks this summer! Lyme disease and babesiosis can ruin your health and wreak havoc with an active lifestyle!

I’m 5’4″ and weigh 105 lbs. My goal is to shed those last 5 pounds! I think that is completely possible in 16 weeks.

Hi Joel! I love getting your information in my mailbox. I too am a coach…I assist others in reaching weight loss and other health related goals. I am a CFNS like yourself. The food plans I promote are much like yours, focusing on long term health and not overnight results so that true lifestyle change occurs. I am also a certified yoga teacher. I believe that balance is essential to any plan, and the benefit of relieving stress and improving flexibility are such huge factors in weight loss….I think yoga once or twice weekly should be a part of EVERYONES plan! I teach some wonderful yoga for weight loss workshops that are very successful in helping my ciients achieve their goals, enlisting the help of their subconscious minds as well. My 16 week goal is to produce some yoga videos and partner up with someone who can help me spread the word to more people….and have the opportunity to touch many more lives! Hmmmm…..maybe that could be you?? Have a great day and thank you very much for all your inspiration!

My goal for the next 16 wks is to lose belly fat and tone all over. I’ll accomplish this by dedicating myself to proper eating habits and making dates with myself to exercise regularly. I burn off enough in my everyday activity to maintain weight, but it’s not deliberate. While I’m redefining my body, I’ll be redirecting the negativity that I’ve allowed to enter my life. New body, new life!

I’ve been on the Cheat to lose diet for about 8 weeks now. Lost about 10 lbs. and lost body fat/inches so far. My goal for the next 16 weeks is to lose the next 10 lbs. and get rid of the rest of the body fat in my waist line. Exercise and continue on the CTL diet plan.

My goal is to lose body fat and build muscle. Seeing 10 pounds come off the scale would be nice but what I see in the mirror and in my clothes would be better. Bluntly, I’ve dropped 20 pounds and have the am wearing the same size jeans because I am not doing the exercising I’m supposed to. Time to tone. Size 10 jeans, busting my way towards size 8’s. Joel, give us beginners a game plan alternate game plan. Your programs rock, but are too hard core for someone way out of shape.

In the next 16 weeks I would like to be ready to do an aqua bike in Colorado. 11 months ago I had twins after 25 weeks of bed rest. I used to do half iron mans. Right now my goal is to run 10 miles in 1.5 hours, bike 56 miles in 3 hours and swim 2.4miles in 55 minutes and fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes!!!. I am currently swimming 3 days a week, lifting 4 days a week, running 2-3 days per week and biking 2 days a week.
Thanks for the encouragement.

I would like to lose 25 lbs of fat and realize a super challenge, i do a lot of sports and training but i will like to be, feel and look like a real athlete.

I want to lose a minimum of 20 lbs on the scale. If that comes in the form of a 30 lb fat loss and a 10 lb muscle gain, even better!

Since I retired from the Navy in 03 I have put on about 45 pounds. My ultimate goal is to lose this weight plus another 20. Your information has been great and my wife have started the 25 day fat loss program to get our bodies kicked in to gear.
My 16 week goal would be to keep up with fitness program, lose 30- 40 pounds and tone my body. Hardest challenge from around the waist.

Hello Joel,

My goal for the next 16 weeks is to drop another 22 lbs and build muscle, tone and maintain my weight at that point. I am also staying meat free and feel so much better. I need more meat free recipes, so if anyone has some… please pass along my way. I would certainly appreciate it!. Good luck to everyone, I know we WILL hit our goals! :)

@ Mark:
I am 58 years old and was weighing 220 lbs. At 5Ft.2 Morbidly obese is the operative words. I have always enjoyed exercise and your program has really helped I am currently 185 Lbs and going down faster and faster. I gain muscle easily and the Turbulance Training is the reason My 16 week goal is to be down another 15-20lbs. Keep up the good work I know I sure am.

I’m 6’1 and I weigh about 182 and I have been training for the upcoming wrestling season and I maintain the consistent weight while hitting the gym at least 3 times a week. I hope to continue losing day and only gain muscle! Wish me luck during the season going for states!

I am 5’9 190lbs with around 17% body fat. I have always struggled with my goal, because I would like to actually weigh more, around 195-200, but I want to be at around 8-10% body fat. I can not find a way to do this. Please help!!

Hello, I have enjoyed the program thus far! I have about 6 pounds, very stubborn, just hit 50 and they want to hold on harder than ever. I have not lost any pounds but have gained muscle and lost fat (I think). I feel stronger and ‘harder’. My husband, however, now 61, has gained muscle and lost 13 pounds in 5 weeks. WOW! We are both thrilled for his success and he is ‘walking the talk’. So much so, he debuted a national radio show yesterday and spoke about his success through this program. Congratulations on a simple system that works!

I am 45 and have 2 herniated discs in my lower spine. Last month the doctor cleared me to begin exercise again. I was on bed rest the majority of 2010. I have no stamina and lost the muscle I had previously built.

I need to know how to safely start over. It’s sad – 15 minutes on the treadmill at a slower speed wears me out.

Hi Joel! Well about a year ago I had my fourth baby, then turned 40! I topped out at 200 lbs. My goal then was to be within my ideal weight range by the time he turned one (130 lbs) – well his birthday is this week and I haven’t made it yet – but I am down to 165 – so my goal is to lose 30 pounds in the next 16 weeks – that’s just about 2 pounds a week. But I want to he a healthy fit 130, not a floppy weak old lady 130! Thanks for all your help and motivation!
