Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.
Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?
I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.
Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them. Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”
Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.
(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)
Talk to you in the comments section!

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I am 6’1 50 years old and weighing in at 290, already lost 20lbs in about 8 weeks. I need to loose another 90 and hope by November to have reached that goal. I could be doing more intense workouts but have had 5 knee operations in the past because I played so many sports. Would like to get back to that a bit
My goal is to lose 28 lbs and tone up at the same time.
I really want to lose 30lbs. I aspire to be thinner and more active than I’ve been in a long time. I’m a Grammi and I need to be able to keep up with my soon to be two year old granddaughter and not just sit and watch her. PLEASE help me!!
Hi Joel,
I am a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, and am always working hard…I need to work harder. After having some surgery complications, I had to retrain myself just to sit up…it took 2.3yrs! In that time I put on 30+kgs. Once I could sit up, I was on a mission to loose what I gained. In 8 months I lost the 30+kgs and had to start weight training to loose more fat. It has been happening, but I need more fat off and muscle on.
I am aiming to get to about 18-20% body fat, dont really care about the weight, but just want more tone to chew that fat up!! As long as I dont loose too much from the chest (if you know what I mean) I will be wrapped! ;0)
I KNOW I CAN DO THIS =0)
My goal is to get back on track with my eating and portion control. I will like to take off another 20 pounds. I will continue to go to the gym and push myself past my comfort zone. The next 16 weeks I will get myself back in control of me.
My goal is to lose 20 lbs by September. Want to be more toned and get bodyfat % down. I don’t really go by the scale but my goal weight would be about 155-160. I am 5’8 and weigh 175 right now.
To do a crossfit WOD 5 times a week for the next 16 weeks.
I haven’t even even started… I need to loose at least 20 lbs and regain any muscles I have left. I need to completely change my eating patterns. I have purchased your program, but never have the time to get started so I need to change my daily routine. I am 48 years old and in the worst shape of my life and I know the clock is ticking.
I am about 167cms in height and weigh 60kgs. I am firm but always find areas for improvement. I would like to loose 2kgs and get my legs more defined and leaner – they are my problem area! It almost looks like my top body doesnt belong to my lower body. I need them to look like a team!!!
My goal is to lose the last 10 pounds & find a way to firm up my flabby arms & get rid of belly fat. Neither is at all easy when you are 70 years old!
I’m about 5’5” n 150lbs. I’m leaving to join the Army Special Forces in 20 weeks, so my goal over the next 16 is to put on 10lbs of lean muscle and get down to 7% body fat. ( currently at 15% )
My 16 week goal ~ lose 20 lbs and 2 inches of fat. Stick to a daily routine of diet and exercise. Sounds easy but for me it is very difficult, I start out strong but fade as the weeks go by.
My goal for the next 16weeks is to lose 3inches off my waist and 2 off my hips. Be able to finally get a pull up indepently and get closer to a pistol without assistance and decrease my 5k time to below 22 min. I would also like to get rid of this 15lbs that has been with me for too many years, but focusing on the weight doesn’t seem to get me anywhere so I’m focusing on getting stronger and faster. Here’s to summer!!
About 6’1″ 24 year old with a great body frame haunted by love handles that will not go away. I am not concerned with my weight, 210 lbs, as long as I can get my body to gain greater definition and shed that body fat.
I want to lose 15 pounds and firm my belly.
20 pull ups and 50 push ups
Hi Joel,
Im probably not your typical client…48 year old mother of two who has used running (15 to 20Klm per week) as my main exercise since I was 18….bought my son for his 14th birthday a set of free weigths, bench press etc for a home gym to help him with his strenght fitness for Aussie rules footy (not sure if you know what that is)….so i decided to start weigths exercise also to ensure I dont lose muscle and end up as one of those mums with flabby arms etc ( or wings as we call them)…….I am absolutely loving it. In two weeks gone from 2 pushups to twenty & lots more!!!! What a nice change not worrying about weightloss just body defintion and Im thrilled!!!!
cheers
Trudy
Hi Joel,
I did a smart thing in November (2010), I bought my wedding gown while weighing a lean 138 lbs for 5’5″, needing to drop 3 more for it to be “perfect” (no such thing, but you know what I mean).
Instead, I GAINED 16 lbs of FAT !!!
So basically, I need to burn off that fat and evaporate the associated water weight, by as much as 20 lbs by October 7th 2011. Or preferable a little earlier so I can have a fitting with that gown, as it will need hemming.
I know what my main issues are: temptation when my fiance munches down on chips with Coke. He doesn’t gain an ounce from that crap, I do. I also need to use my gym membership more, though I do get a Curves workout twice a week (work there) – I know, not the best as far as progressive resistance, can’t tell what you’re doing with those hydraulics.
I am 51. I am 5’5. I did the extreme fat loss challenge. Followed it closely and only lost 5 pounds. I worked out twice a day and felt great. My goal is to lose 25 lbs and go from 25% body fat to 15% in the next 16 weeks.
My 16 week goal starts with quitting smoking, sticking with a nutrition and exercise plan for the rest of my life, not for two weeks, and ultimately losing 30 pounds of fat. In this time I will also build as much muscle as needed to be toned up and look and feel great!
I want to lose 6 inches off my waist and as many pounds as possible.
My goal is to loose 10-12lbs, and slim down/tone my midsection. As well, I would like to develop lean, strong back muscles.
Amen Sister!!! Losing belly fat after 40 is TOUGH!!! I never had this disgusting stuff until I hit 41 yrs. old!! My goal is to lose this and be much healthier at eating and snacking in particular. Thank you for always motivating us!!@ Karen:
I’m 5’9″ and currently weight 225lbs…ouch that is hard to say! I am starting on my quest to regain fitness today so your timing could not be better. I will drop about 50lbs over next sixteen weeks. Lots of hard work and good healthy food in my future…
Thanks for all the great information.
