What Are YOUR Goals?

Posted by Joel Marion

At random, Dan and I are going to GIVE AWAY 16-weeks of personal TWO-on-1 coaching to someone who leaves a comment below on this blog post.  All you need to do is read below and reply with your 16-week goal to be eligible.

This is WAY over $2000 value and you’re going to get your own personal nutrition coach AND your own trainer and life coach…100% FREE if you win.

Read below and respond in the comment section.

Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.

Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them.  Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”

Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.

(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)

Talk to you in the comments section!

Joel

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I’m at 230lbs right now. I would like to lose 20 pounds in the next 16 weeks. Very achievable I think, just need to get my butt in gear.

My goal is to lose fat, gain muscle and eliminate my family history toward morbid obesity. Maybe my success would inspire some of my family members. I just want to be as healthy as I can be and I know I need some butt kicking to get there.

Lose 10 lbs and further tone. Down 25 lbs and have toned nicely in route down.

I am 50 years old and currently weight 145 pounds with 29% fat. I want to get to about 23% fat and around 130 pounds. My goal is to achieve this by the end of August 2009. I workout every morning and have completely changed my diet. I am happy about that, so thanks for helping me achieve my goals.

As far as workout programs go, I’m doing Stronglifts 5×5. I am already seeing amazing results after only 2 weeks and I’ve been working out for a while before that.

Good luck everyone!

Just turned 39. My goal is to reduce my bodyfat to below 10% while maintaining lean muscle mass. I am currently 70 inches and 172 lbs.

My 16 week goals are to lose another 24 lbs., increase endurance, and reduce body fat by 20%. I am doing this through Turbulence Training along with controlling diet.

My 16 week goal is to lose 8 lbs of fat, and gain at least 4 lbs of muscle. I’m looking for a leaner sleaker body shape.

I am 41 years old, 5′ 8″ and150lbs. I have lost about 8lbs on Cheat Your Way Thin over the last 7 weeks and can see my abs for the first time, which was one of my goals. I am down to my HS/college waste at about 30″ (although it would be so cool to fit comfortably in a 29″ — tough at 41 though). I estimate with calipers I am about 9% bf. Would like to reduce that 1-2 more % points and then add 5-10 pounds of muscle.

Perfect timing! As I’ve just started a bet with a good friend of mine about who can loose the most weight in the next couple of months. Hey, every type of motivation helps! Ok so here is my goals, I am 5’10” and 209lbs with 19% bodyfat I would like to drop at least 28lbs and aim to get my bf down to 10%
Aim high as they say.
Well thanks for making me accountable and good luck everyone with thier goals.

I am 40 lbs overweight since my son was born (8 years ago!!). I think a reasonable 16 week goal would be to lose 20 lbs. I really need a jump start.

My goal is to be more healthier and have a lean body. I will make it as a lifetime commitment to myself.

Hi! I’m 34 y.o. and would like to lose 20lbs and drop my fat %age to 17%. I’m 5’1″ and weigh 125lbs at the moment. I aim also to drink at least 64oz of water daily, stop eating after 8pm and choose to eat natural whole foods over processed foods. For me, the day after the Cheat day is the hugest struggle. I’m going through the priming stage for the 3rd time now, because after the first Cheat Day after the prime, I set myself off on my old eating habits. But all is not lost, NOT AT ALL! I’m learning what foods set me to fail and I’m gonna avoid those, even on a cheat. I’m NOT giving up! Hence, this post :-) Thanks everyone! Your previous posts have been encouraging to me. I’m going at this on my own here.

16 weeks huh…. well I have already started and I’m doing pretty good at keeping as active as possible everyday, whether it’s a morning walk, bike ride at lunch, or an evening swim. I haven’t so much struggled with weight all my life, it’s just always been there and everyone else seemed bothered by it, it was also my excuse for not getting asked on dates in high school, then University… Now I’ve come to terms with the fact that losing weight is not going to make anyone like me more then I already like myself! So I like myself more and more both physically and psychologically everyday.
My goal in the next 16 weeks is to finally shed it all – and to avoid getting obsessed with the scale I want, scratch that, I WILL be in a size 8 and I’m currently wearing about a 16-18 now! I WILL tone up and do it for me, not for anyone or anything else!
Good luck to everyone and your 16 weeks!! :)

I know that you should think of your goals as already being accomplished. To say “I will lose 40 pounds” keeps your goal in the future, always something that’s going to happen. I want to reach my goals now, so I’m thinking of my goal in the present, as if it’s already occured, then I just have to wait for my body to catch up with my subconsious mind.
So I will say, “I have lost 40 pounds!”

Thanks,
Felecia

Well I finally got a good set of scales that has body fat percentage reading and I came in at 28%. I am 6′ 2″ and weigh 210 lbs and 61 year old I think I carry this load well enough – but I want to get my bodyfat % down to at least 18% so my abs will show again.

I’m a 32 years old, 5’10, female and 171.5 lbs (as of this morning). My 16 week goal is to get to 160 lbs and be able to do any number pullups without support (currently using Woody bands).

Hi am Vickie and I am almost 37 in a few weeks. I currently weight 140ish (on vacation so dont’ know what I weigh). I am struggling to know what I truly want to happen. I would love to drop the 10 lbs and just really tone and sculpt the lower half of my body. My upper half is really doing wonderfully but my lower half is not. I am very active workout wise and really am at a loss to find what works for me. I have been doing Cheat Your Way thin but not strictly these last few weeks. I saw a good 3 lb loss then it halted like every other time I try to get down past 137.

My goal is to lose 20 pounds and gain muscle toen.

In sixteen weeks I would like to be 30 pounds lighter. I know this is a stretch, because of the lack of time, so my goal will be 20 pounds lost in the next sixteen weeks. I have not gotten off to a good start because I ate way too much over the weekend, so now it’s time to forgive myself and get my positive eating habits back in the lead.
