My goal for the next sixteen weeks is to improve enough in my sports (judo/jujitsu) so that I can take part in competition… I also need to regain my original shape because ever since school started I’ve been steadily dropping in physical condition and my training hours have been cut down to about a third, I hope I find a workout schedule that will help me manage it.

Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?

I would like to lose 10-15 lbs.
I am 43, single mom of a 3 yr old, and in the stressful midst of selling a business. had hoped that would be done before 12/31, but doesn’t look that way. i have put off reading all the things i have ordered from joel and isabella, but my goal for jan/feb is to start reading through all that. i also need to read through a mountain of material for starting an online business. i am sure that as i start reading through the materials i have ordered, i will start incoorporating them. i would love to lose about 10-15 lbs, but more importantly to tone up. i figure if i focus mainly on toning, the weight will fall off or at least redistribute away from my middle. arms are the biggest challenge for me to tone.
I plan on getting back to the shape i was when I was into basketball – 175 Lbs. and a 33″ waist .
My 16-week goal is to lose 25 stubborn pounds while gaining muscle and toning up. I don’t expect to look like I did when I was in my thirties but I’m tired of carrying around this extra weight that hurts my back and feet. My tummy is a problem area I would REALLY like to reduce. Thanks for your help! Let’s do it!
I need to lose a lot of blubber and get my heart and lungs back in shape! Once I lose that extra freight, I want to work on my strength.
I am 35 years old. I am 5’3″ and weight 165lbs. I wouls like to lose 30 lbs and build a lot more muscle so I can pass the PIN Fit test and the PREP test. I need the PREP test to be able to apply to the police force. The Pin Fit test is just for fun :) As my Dr. jokingly said to me recently, “Girl, after 9 years you can no longer call it baby fat…It is now lazy fat!”…lol
16 weeks is perfect for me to lose 15lbs of fat and gain about 5-7lbs of muscle. I have been working for over a year and now I think I am on the home stretch. Doing both has been tough but I am committed to it by the end of March which coincides with my Birthday! Woohoo!!
Hi, My goal is to stay consistent with my workouts. I’ve started the 1000calorie workout schedule and have done the first 2. I’m still on the 450calorie workout and plan to advance to the 600 calorie workout the week of December 20-24th. I’ve given my self until January to get onto a better eating plan but haven’t set out a food plan as at this time of the year I’d be setting myself up for failure. I wont over indulge however, great food, a few drinks, and good company on occasion.
January I see how the 600 calorie workout is feeling and get back onto the wagon with lighter foods, regular protein consumption, and less alcohol. As the workouts get longer I’ll have to adapt my daily schedule to fit it in at a different time of the day as the mornings are getting too busy and evenings make more sense.
I’m getting married in March 2011, so I want to feel great!
I am 53, 5″8″, 180 LBS. My goal is to loose fat and build muscle. Like to loose 15 lbs (have already lost 8) and be able to run 8 minute miles for an hour without stopping (thats 7.5 miles in one hour).
I am 38 yrs old, 5’7″ current weight is 161lbs, 33.4% body fat. My goal in the next 16 weeks is to lose 23 lbs and bring my body fat down close to 20%.
About a year ago I started weight training and I have had some success, however, that success has come at a cost as I have also gained some fat. Put simply I need to get rid of the fat, especially around the lower abdomen/’love handle’ area. I am aware of techniques such as HIIT etc, however I want to lose the body fat and retain the majority of my muscle. There are so many techniques that I am confused about which way to go. I weigh around 93KG give or take a kilo, 5 feet 9 inches and I am raring to go! My specific goal is to lose as much fat as possible without compromising my muscle gains.
My goal, using Joel’s methods, is to continue losing body fat. My 16 week goal is to lose 20 lbs. I am 50 years old, 5′ 5″ and semi active. I plan to kick in my activity by skating at least 3 times per week along with the training Joel reccommends. I am working my way to a healthier, happier and better looking body!!!!!
My goal is to drop 10 lbs. I am 5 ft @ 126 lbs and that leaves me a little mushy looking- BF is at the high end of my “age range” and I want it at the low end so I am cut and HOT. My BMR is 1250 so, I am really good at maintaining that-but need to be consuming 1100 cal. or burning an extra 100-200 calories a day. Been using the 1,000 Cal challenge- work outs are kicking my butt and I am getting stronger – just need to stay on track with my eating.
I am 62 years old. In the next 16 weeks, I will lose 20 pounds and wear my size 8 pants.
I am 150 pounds 5’9 18 years i want to drop down below 8 % body fat idk what my body fat currently is but i can see six pack…but my goal is to get ripped, and build more muscle at least 5 pounds more.
I am trying to recover from weight gained after I broke my knee and on top of that started a new job where my car is my office, controlling what I eat is a challenge and finding time and energy to work out is sketchy. I’ve already lost 5 lbs but I have a long way to go. Before I broke my knee I was trying to lose those last, stubborn 10 – 15 lbs, but know I need to lose 36 lbs and my goal is 5 lbs a month.
Hi Joel,
I am currently 19 years old, and my 20th Birthday will be in 3 months and 18 days. By then I’d like to lose 30 pounds (right now I’m at 165 or 166), and definitely gain some lean muscle definition. I’m not looking to be a body builder, but I am wanting to feel and look my personal best. I really want that “svelte” physique, where I’m still curvey but tightly fit :). I eventually want to run a marathon, but as of now, I primarily want to focus on losing fat, gaining lean muscle definition, and overall just develop healthier eating/exercising habits that will develop me into the healthy individual I’ve always yearned to be. Because I am in college, things can get pretty hectic, so I definitely need to aim for quick and effective strategies that will not take too much of my time, because the rest of it has to go to studying, family, my sorority, and other extracurriculars.
Hi, I’m a 32 year old stay-at-home mom of a 3 year old, and I just started Vince Delmonte’s Wedding day body shayping program to get in the best shape of my life in 12 weeks! My goals are to lose as much body fat as I can and get my bf down to 10 per cent max! I’m currently at 28 per cent body fat and 140 pounds.
Hi Joel, I’m 50 yrs old and over the past 3 yrs have gained 40lbs. I ‘m only 5’3″ so it looks pretty bad. I looked and felt really good when I weiged 140lbs. Thats my 16 week goal. I don’t know if it’s realistic or not but it would mean so much to me if I could accomplish that. Along with osing weight I really need to get back in shape. In 1993 I competed in the American Gladiators. That’s the kind of shape I’d like to get back into. Hopefully with your help, I can do that.
I would like to lose only 5 pounds but gain at least that in muscle. I have been using the 1000 cal workouts – they are wicked! and have seen some changes. So my goal is to continue with wicked work outs and add in the cardio interval portion now that I am starting to feel stronger.

My ultimate goal is to lose 30-50 pounds, not in just 16 weeks, but however long it takes. I can achieve this goal because nothing is impossible, the word itself simply says I’m possible.
