Just this morning me and my good friend Josh were discussing the different types of nutrition strategies we’ve been using along with our current goals, which got me a bit curious about what it is that YOU’RE currently doing.
Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?
I like 16-week goals because it’s the perfect time frame to really make DRASTIC changes to your body and the way you look—aim high, and let me know your 16 week goal in the comments section below.
Then, print off this post (along with your response), and I want you to use it as a source of accountability. Here at Body Transformation Insider, we’re not just about setting goals, we’re ALL about achieving them. Or as my buddy Dan Long says, “We don’t hit goals, we SHATTER goals!”
Many of you are going to achieve some awesome things in the next 16 weeks—start today by posting your goal below.
(and if you can’t even *post* your goal, you might as well forget about achieving it…now is the time to step up and make it happen—together, as a community)
Talk to you in the comments section!

P.S. Get your 16-week goal in writing! Believe me, responding below is going to be HUGE for your accountability (and ultimately, your success).

I’m in my mid 50’s and have lost 30 pounds, on my own, I’ve been at 12% BF for months. I’ve joined Joel Marion and Mike Geary’s programs to get me to that level where I have 6 pack abs and they show. I want to be there by Spring 2011. Thanks for the encouragement, this helps. I’m jazzed about seeing my muscle definition again.

I would love to lose even just 15lbs. in 16 weeks. I know that I need to lose at least 50lbs… however I realize that my goal needs to be more reachable. The biggest thing that I find is that I need to get more energy and flexability so that I can do more with the students that I have at my job. I’m working on taking about 30min. each day and walk also including doing steps for the first 10min. I’m working hard to get some weight change.
My overall goal is to lose 60 lbs. My 16 week goal is to lose 25 lbs and keep up my workout schedule.
I started my diet about 8 weeks ago (1000 Calorie Challenge). Since the workouts were above my ability, I hired a personal trainer at the gym. I do weight training 3 nights per week (30 min) plus 30 min cardio on those nights. I do 1 hour of cardio on 3 other nights.
I have not been 100% on the workout schedule but am getting addicted (loving it). I have lost 8 lbs total — LOVE CYWT diet program. I think I can do this for the rest of my life! THANKS JOEL <3 <3
I am 62 years old am 5′ 8″ tall have a 43″ waist and currently weigh about 200 lbs with over 25 percent body fat.
My 8 week goal is to lose 30lbs of fat while increasing my muscle mass for a net weight loss of 15 to 20 lbs and reducing my waist by 8 to 10 inches and my body fat to under 15 percent.
I’m 63 years old. My goal is to reduce my body fat percentage from about 17 to 14 without losing more than 2 pounds.
My 16 week goal is 150 and tone muscles. I started at 210lbs in August. I had a 42″ waist and a badonkadonk butt with matching thighs. I am currently at 170lbs with a 34″ waist. I still have the badonka butt, but my arms don’t keep waiving after I stop. It all started with ‘The Truth about Abs’ by Michael Geary which lead me to your awesome workout site. Thank you for all of the GREAT tips!
Working on dropping from 195 to 185 lbs. Approaching my mid 40s. Already down to 192 using Joel’s CYWT program. Recently retired from the Army, so I enjoyed an excellent physic with abundant energy throughout my career. So my goal now is to trim down the few extra pounds I gained and maintain a flat, firm abdomen with an overall improved body tone.
My goal is to lose the last 10 pounds. I’ll be lean with a six pack!
My daughter is getting married in the spring and I would like to lose 50 lbs by May.
To those many younger people on this list, I will say that it IS possible to lose substantial weight even when one is over 60. Over the past two years I have lost 30 lbs., mostly by burning it off working outdoors, but also by severely limiting sugar intake. I’m 62, 5’10” and currently weigh 166.
My first goal is to DROP the five pounds I have added on Thanksgiving Day and subsequently, courtesy of my wife’s irresistible pumpkin chiffon pie, etc. ! (i.e., I now have a net loss of 25 lbs.)
Second goal is to avoid gaining any more over Christmas. This will be a challenge as I will be 2000 miles from my weight machine.
Third goal is to lose an additional five pound by April, while not giving up any muscle mass. Currently lifting 100 lbs on the weight machine @ 12 reps; fourth goal is that I would like to defy my age by raising that to 120 lbs.
I want to lose 40 lbs and pray for the strength to battle against old crappy eating habits.
I would love to lose about 20 lbs and tone up significantly
