Are you looking to gain muscle, lose fat, both?
What are your specific goals for the next 16 weeks? How many pounds do you want to lose (or gain) in that time?

I’m in the National Guard and have not passed my physical fitness test in 2 years. I am pretty close now, only 5 seconds off my run a couple of months ago. Last month I fell a bit because I didn’t work out and got sick. I know I can be faster if I lsoe some weight too. I have to lose a couple of inches off my waist to pass my tape test. Ultimately, just want to be able to easily pass a 40pushups in 2 minutes, 45 situps in 2 minutes followed by a 2 mile run in 17 minutes. Those are the standards I want to be able to meet on any given day. Losing 20 lbs would probably help with that.
Well I’m 22 years old 6’4″ 220 pounds and my plan over the next 16 week is just to improve my outlook on my body by putting on as much muscle as I can as well as trying to reduce my body fat
BTW, to use up some of the fat we’ve stored and lessen our carbon footprint at the same time, turn DOWN your thermostat and shut OFF your electric blanket. SO much energy goes to maintaining our body heat, if WE do that instead of burning fossil fuels, we benefit hugely as well as stem the tide of global disaster.
If you feel chilled, get up and move around. Even running in place will warm your body by working the muscles that GENERATE heat–and in the process eat up fat! Let’s use our OWN fuel instead of buying from the utility companies that are raping the planet! YEA~
My goal is to reconnect my physical and spiritual self. I will release 25lbs of fat, and a dozen inches from my measurements. I will release the can’ts, should have’s and missed opportunities of the past. I will figure out how to add a half of an inch to my soleus muscles. I will choose to enjoy the process I will discover new ways to stay fit. I will be positive. I will choose to gain optimum health over “I need to loose weight”. I am going to have fun.
hi
I have been overweight for so long i cannot remember when i looked any different or someone paid me a complement. so with that in mind it is now time to change my thinking and loose the belly fat. so in 16 weeks time i will have lost 16 lbs and tried to gain more of a toned body. so i need nagging and some positive thinking.
Get to less than 15%BF. Under 200lbs.
Currently 31% and 228.
Plenty of muscle under there somewhere. Need to bring it back out.
Hi! I am a 42 yr old female with 3 grown kids. My current weight is 139.4 and I am 5 ft 1 1/2 in tall. My goal forthe next 16 weeks is to loose 10 lbs. My biggest problem is I have Fibromyalgia and work-outs are very hard on my body, so I have given up the gym for now and just walk on my treadmill and use my 1 and 2 lb weights. I already have good eating habbits with occasional treat days to keep confusing my metabolism.
I will be 65 in Jan and want to be 9st rather than over 10 1/2 and get my body fat under 25% – then my scales will showthe body fat in the green and not purple or red!!!
I need to lose about 10lbs. but I really need to take inches off my hips, abdomen, and redefine my legs(esp. the upper thigh). I worked out hard for a long time and now need to really get my discipline back. It is more of astruggle this time around. I need some accountability I guess!
I am 5’4″ and weigh 122 LBS. I would like to lose 7 lbs., lose 2″ around my waist, tighten up, and lose a little excess fat.
My goal for the next 16 weeks is to lose more body fat, and keep working at acheiving those 1000 calorie workouts(almost there). Working at getting more lean muscle mass and endurance. I will to lose at least another 15 pds, and get my sugar addiction under control. I am working to towards a 7km long distance swim in August
Hi, Thanks so much for letting me post my goals. I’m a totally blind student who has finally found a work out niche. I’m just starting out independently from trainers that seemed to hamper my progress, so I’m happy to experiment on my own. In 16 weeks, I want to loose at least 16 pounds. I will use their routines, but I’m using a combo of adjustable dumbbells I’ve acquired for Christmas, and variations on their routine. I’m planning to: shock my body daily in starting and doing excercises in different orders, use much more fruit and veggies, and try and fix carbs differently. I’ve started this newer program two weeks ago, because I’ve happily developed a personal home gym of stability ball, dumbbells as Christmas gift from on sale, yoga mat (for some bench press lying down, a kit chen chair, and my aging excercise racing bike for spurts of cardio. 6-12 excercises per most days. Between 3-6 days. Sorry it’s long. I’m humbly excited. I am finally starting to loose more weight than I’ve ever lost! Thanks much for reading my comments. Happy holidays to all.
My goal over the next 16 weeks is to drop 30 lbs; this will be a combination of decreased body fat percent and increased lean muscle mass. I presently weigh 245 and my doctor and I agree that a fit and firm 215 would be a good weight for me. I would also like to compete in and finish my first 5K.

i would like to lose another 30 lbs , be more healthier and fitter.
Thank you Joel!!! Your Advices are the very best!
My goal is to lose 30 lbs. I would like to get down to about 18% body fat. I am currently about 150 lbs. and 25% body fat. I’ve been in pretty good shape for the past 20+ years. I have recently been feeling a lack of energy and also feel impatient when I don’t see results quick enough. I’m going to really try to keep my nose to the grindstone and not only get back to where I was, but go beyond that to the body I’ve wanted for a very long time.
my goal is to lose 20 pounds of pure fat i already lost 30

My goal in the next 16 weeks is drop another 10kgs so that I have enough confidence to ask a girl out that I really like =D
I am male, 6ft, 11 stone, I am using Vince’s programme to try and get some muscle definition especially using more stability training for the core. I train between 3 and 5 times a week depending on how much time I have, I am gaining strength but not muscle definition. This may be because I am vegetarian although I do try to eat as much natural protein as possible such as beans, pulses, tofu, nuts, some chease etc. Is there anything else I should try? My basic programme consists of 10 minutes of alternating sprints, ab and core stability work (mostly using the stability ball in press-up/plank positions) and weight training using chest press and freeweights etc. HELP!!!
I want to get my body fat persentage to 16% (it’s 21 now) and enter a fitness modeling competission
My ultimate is to get a 6 pack of abs also to get my body fat down to 10% and below. Already training at the gym and completed a 8 week weightloss challenge with some decent results. Need to be more disciplined diet wise and not make any excuses when I lack motivation. Never really thought of a 16 week timeframe but best to get cracking on it now!!
I want to see my 6 pack abs for the first time in my life. Now, I am down to my last 2% body fat to eliminate.
My current physical data are: Age 57, Height 5’ 8”, 173 lbs, Neck 16.5”, Shoulder 51.0”, Chest 45.5”, Bicep 13.75”, Waist 32”, Hip 39.0” Thigh 22.5”, Body fat 12% (estimated) BP 110/70, and Resting HR 47 bpm
